What Does it Cover 

Allstate pet insurance plans cover accidents and illnesses, including any surgeries, hospitalizations, or nursing care required. They also cover medications and alternative therapies. Genetic conditions such as hip dysplasia are covered, but only if your pet was not showing signs of the condition at the time you purchased your policy.

Preventative treatment, including vaccinations, annual check-ups, and dental cleanings, are not covered unless you purchase an optional wellness plan.

Insurance Plans & Pricing 

The cost of your insurance plan will vary based on your pet’s breed, age, gender, and medical history. We received a quote for a 3-year old labrador retriever in Texas in April 2021. A plan with a $10,000 coverage limit, $500 deductible, and 80% reimbursement rate cost $44.45 per month. The optional wellness plan cost an additional $18.75 per month for up to $250 per year in coverage. Quotes are subject to change and will vary by location.

What is Not Covered

Allstate policies do not cover vet fees related to pregnancy or breeding, orthodontic procedures, or treatments for behavioral problems. They also do not cover vitamins, supplements, or prescription food. Pre-existing conditions are excluded from coverage, including genetic conditions for which your pet was showing symptoms at the time of enrollment.

Waiting Periods

Your policy includes a waiting period of 2 days for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, and 6 months for orthopedic conditions.

Coverage Limits

You can choose an annual coverage limit of $5,000, $8,000, $10,000, $15,000, or $30,000.

Reimbursement and deductibles:

Allstate enables you to choose an annual deductible of $200, $300, $500, $750, or $1,000. You can also choose a reimbursement rate of 70%, 80%, or 90%.

Claims and Service

Since Allstate pet insurance policies are offered through Embrace Pet Insurance, you must go through Embrace to submit a claim. Embrace requires an itemized invoice from your vet, and you can submit a claim online or using the Embrace mobile app. Claims are typically processed in 10-15 days and you can receive your reimbursement by physical check or direct deposit.

Not competitive with pricing, especially for people with a great driving record. Less than friendly customer service when trying to ask about a new quote.

A truck backed into me in October 2022, it's now January 2023 and I'm still trying to get my claim settled. Good luck trying to get their Claims Adjuster to contact you, my repair shop and I have emailed and called this adjuster, Eugene Mak, with no success. No reply to even tell you he is busy but will respond when able, and if you try and call their company you're on hold for over 30 minutes, then they send you to an "overflow" switchboard who can't help you but take your information and give you a reference number. Even if it's marked as "urgent" you still don't hear anything back from their company so you're forced to sit in their Que again for an extended period of time. Trying to get in contact with the Office of the Ombudsman is a complete joke because the end of the form doesn't accept your Policy number, if your insurance is under PemBridge (which is a subsection of Allstate). Completely ridiculous!! I just need these people to waive my deductible, since the accident wasn't my fault, so that I can get my car repaired!!! So frustrating!!! **Edit to say I would have liked to give this company ZERO stars but they get ONE star because I finally got in touch with someone who can help settle this (fingers crossed). Thanks to Shawn I've finally booked my repair date for February (Oct-Feb for resolution is absurd) so fingers crossed everything goes smoothly with my car rental. Allstate, please don't post under my review saying you're sorry and for me to email your company because I'm DONE. Multiple reviews here have the same complaint so FIX the problem instead of asking frustrated customers to email you after the fact. I'll be moving my insurance to another company as soon as this claim is settled. DO BETTER.

You're NOT in good hands.
I was hit by a driver who was insured by Allstate. Their rental car policy is so bad. The customer who is not at fault should NOT have to pay anything out of pocket. I'd have to pay at least 300 out of pocket with the rental company for a $200 deposit and days I need the vehicle. It would most likely be 600 dollars total. I don't have that to spend!!!! They do this because they know many people like us cannot afford it, they are smart in being greedy. Pray you don't get hit with someone with Allstate Insurance.

Potentially ruin customer's credit ratings due to poor internal collection processes
My family terminated our auto policy and went to another company that was less expensive. We had payments set up on auto pay. There was a final balance owing and instead of taking out the funds, they sent a letter via canada post that we never received. No effort to email or call yet they sent our file to collections and potentially tarnished our credit rating unnecessarily! Customer service at Allstate was not knowledgeable. We emailed the collections company and did not receive a reply. We called the agency as well and no one picks up the phone. Very poor business practices. I would never use Allstate again and am looking to move our home policy now too.

Customer no service!!!
Just trying to get any kind of customer service is impossible. I have over a dozen Allstate numbers and I can not get a human at any. Often they forward me to the agents, who are awful, sometimes it tries and just leaves you in cell phone limbo. JUst trying to make sure my auto ins check made it, and I can't get an answer after 5 days, and dozens of hours on the phone. Find some other company!!!!!!!!

WORST COMPANY EVER !
WORST COMPANY EVER !! In 25yrs I put in 4 claims ... One car and 3 home Home I had a branch with winter ice storm take out my electrical line. That line controlled the whole "front" of my house and garage. So now I had no light on front porch, dining room, hallway going upstairs, upstairs bathroom, my huge 5car garage and most importantly my 2MONTH old baby's room. Now I had to climb those stairs each and every night in the dark with him swaddled in my arms feeling my way up the banister. I also had a 4yr old son I had to walk behind making sure he didn't fall. Let us not forget my hubby and I too at bedtime. Now I had issues I find out my electric panel box isn't to code. Allstate wants to give me a $800 donation to have all this fixed. Meanwhile I can't find anyone to atleast fix it so I'm not bringing BABIES IN THE DARK UP STAIRS !?!? Finally God sent me an Angel licensed electrician and he did a temporary fix so I didn't have to climb those stairs anymore (it's 3weeks now) in the dark risking the lives of my children. He asked why didn't Allstate give you a temporary hook up. Because Allstate just wanted to cut check and be done. Allstate doesn't care about safety let alone babies falling from your arms down a fight of stairs breaking their LITTLE NECK and DYING !! Unfortunately it was around the market crash so hubby and I between us lost 3 jobs. Now unemployed couldn't pay to update our panel to 200amps and fix the wire. When we sold it in 2022 the temporary hook up from my Angel was still feeding that house. We never had money to call him to come back. We took our $800 donation and applied it to the panel as only way to fix the problem. Unfortunately the crash hit our real estate license and construction jobs. Hubby worked 3full 40hr weeks in a year. That's why 12yrs later we never fixed it. It was sold AS IS and vacant when we kissed and said goodbye to that money pit 1800s home last summer 2022. We had an issue with EVERY CLAIM so why am I paying for this abuse. Then my agent retired and they reassign me to an agent 45mins away in another county only to argue and they reassign me again to another 45mins away having to drive thru 5 towns to get there. Waving at all those offices I could be or should be !!!?!??!? IF YOU VALUE ANY OF YOUR BELONGINGS OR YOUR SANITY STAY AWAY !! THEY ALWAYS CLAIM LACK OF MAINTENANCE OR GIVE YOU PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. WE DUMPED $40K into THAT HOUSE OVER 15yrs. WE DID DO MAINTENANCE BUT WE COULDN'T DO IT ALL AS IM SURE MANY OF YOU CHIP AWAY ESPECIALLY WITH OLDER DATED HOMES !! YOUR CHOICE SO CHOOSE WISELY!?

They Made Me Tear Down My Garage!
In the spring of 2022, a representative (Danielle) from the Titley agency called to inform me that someone was coming out to take pictures of my property. I thought nothing about it and gave the okay. Fast-forward to May when I receive a "second notice" informing me that these issues must be addressed before my policy renewed in June. Having never received the first notice, I contacted the agency. (Yes, it's possible that I overlooked the first notice. Allstate sends you an amazing amount of paper.) I again spoke to Danielle. (I've never spoken to Ms. Titley.) Danielle informed me that there were bricks missing out of my chimney and that my garage was considered unsafe. I agree with the verdict on the chimney but believe that the garage still had a few good years. In order to have my policy renewed these problems had to be resolved or under contract to be resolved. Danielle explained that if I lost my coverage that I would have real problems getting quality coverage again. With one month's lead time I immediately hired a general contractor to demolish the old and then build a new garage. I contracted to have my chimney replaced. The day that they were tearing down the garage, I figured that I would call the agency as I was in compliance and could now have my policy renewed. Again, I reached Danielle who looked up my account only to find that those requirements had been removed from my account. I walked out on the back deck held up my phone and yelled, "This is the sound of my garage being torn down right now!" I finally managed to calm down and call Allstate corporate. An agent took my report and that someone would call me. A few days later I started to play phone tag with a corporate customer service specialist. When we did finally talk, I explained that Allstate made me tear down my garage when I really didn't have to. Having worked a lifetime in customer service-centric business, I fully expected that Allstate would do something to compensate me. Maybe a deep discount on my upcoming insurance bill or a contribution to my garage building fund? The agent was unmoved and no matter how much I tried he was resolute that Allstate would do nothing. I found him to be condescending and smug. I asked the agent to look up how long I'd been an Allstate customer. "30 years" "And in that 30 years, have I ever made a claim?" "Sir. I can't see that." "Well, I haven't. I've never made a claim in 30 years." He was not impressed. As the call went on I became more exasperated and at one point I stated, "this is b___ s___." The agent responded, "Sir, are you cursing at me?" I replied that I wasn't cursing at him but at the situation to which he replied, "Sir, if you're going continue to curse at me, I'm going to have to terminate this call right now". I noticed that it was 5:10 in the Eastern time zone and this guy's shift was over. He wanted off the call. I unhappily ended the call with never having cursed at the agent (when every part of my being wanted to unload a fusillade of curse words upon him). To this day I've never received an apology from my agent or Allstate corporate. It makes me wonder for a company like Allstate and the Titley agency, what is really value of the individual customer?

We made a claim for roof shingle damage…
We made a claim for roof shingle damage from severe wind storm. Only need half of our roof replaced. Because of the damage and the age of the roof our contractor said it was not possible to repair the roof because the shingles would crack when trying to replace them. . Also a friend of ours who is an insurance adjuster looked t the roof and said the same thing. But the Allstate rep we talked to Mr. Karlton Tatum continued to say it was not damaged enough and could be repaired. Feel like we have been done wrong, and that they do not care. Our house and five cars insured with Allstate for 15 years. I don't think we will continue with Allstate, if they think that is a good way to do business, denying rightful claims.

10/10 would not recommend an auto policy.
Let’s start with it’s taken a YEAR total out my vehicle which was not repairable since the original date of loss. Contact was first made with Emily from Escalations in December to which she stated that I can submit my expenses that were incurred due to the delayed processing in my claim. I have emailed several times to get an update on said review of my claim. During the course of our conversation today, Emily mentioned a review had not been completed but she would be denying my requests and a final decision had been made. I insisted on a detailed explanation due to all that has taken place over the last year. I pressed the issue for almost 15 minutes to be met with Emily’s deflection several times avoiding a very specific time frame in question which is October 22-Jan 23 - refusing to take accountability for Allstates delay. I was interrupted several times to be reminded of my choice of body shop and that “it is not entirely Allstate’s fault”. At several different points on our conversation I asked to speak with leadership due to Emily’s tone, lack of empathy and sarcasm. I was told very rudely that there is no one else to speak to and I can only have the number to general escalations. I inquired on the escalations process if I have already spoken with the claims manager, adjuster management etc. I was then told my only next option is to sue Allstate. At the conclusion of the call I was given a number for one Beth Ann whom Emily stated is a Supervisor/Team Leader but was never specific on which department. I would like to say that Beth Ann has done what no other Allstate team member has done, aside from Jan B. and Kenneth L. They have taken the time to listen and really apply the tools given to impart resolution and ultimately treat me like a human being. It is disgustingly apparent at how flawed the claims processing system is and that out of all the hands that have touched my claim only these employees have been responsible for resolution. Because of David S., Vickie, and Emily R., I will never recommend anyone to Allstate and will be sure to share my experience on all social media platforms within reach.

I had some siding blow off my house
I had some siding blow off my house. This particular type of siding is no longer available. Allstate says they'll only replace the 1 side & I can paint it all to match. They sent me a check (haven't cashed it yet) for an amt. to low to even get anyone to do the work. Both contractors say Allstate has to do the whole house. Been fighting them for almost 5 mo.s !

Complete joke! Their client hit us. Everyone (Police, Allstate, the person who hit us) knows their client was at fault. Absolutely clear their client was/IS at fault. They do not communicate with us. Our insurance company cannot speak to them on our behalf because Allstate establishes communication lines that don't allow the legality of our insurance company communicating with them. We have to communicate with them. Allstate NEVER communicates with us. WE have to call them every day, and they pretend to have barely heard about anything every time we call. They send us to a repair facility for a quote and say they'll have us a payment. We go. We send them the estimate. Again, they don't communicate, we have to call and they pretend they didn't know again that we had an estimate done even though we went to their recommended facility that they directed us to go to. So we think we will finally get paid. WRONG!!!! They tell us they are reevaluating our car and considering it a total loss, but they don't let us know this. NOOO!!! We have to call and ask "Where's the money that was supposed to be deposited today?" So we have to wait for their total loss team to reevaluate our car. Again, we have to keep contacting them. They total loss the car and tell us someone will pick up the car and we have to mail in the title. They need both the title AND the car before they can pay us what they owe us from their client hitting us. More than a week later and they have the title and have still not picked up the car. It has been a month. We've had to deal with insurance companies paying us for damages their clients have done. At most, we have had to wait a week and a half to be made whole. This is the SLOOOWEST and most uninterested insurance company ever. MEDICAID AND MEDICARE move faster than this company moves, and THEY talk to you. Allstate is an absolute farce. You are definitely NOT in good hands with Allstate. You're in the toilet.

Beware of this Allstate Agency
Beware of this Allstate Agency! Derek purchase Brent Walters Agency and inherited customers with zero claims but takes credit for it. Once Derek Anduiza took over Mr. Walters clientele service started going down hill because I’ve nothing but issue. Derek doesn’t return any customer calls or emails. His office doesn’t take responsibility for incorrect information provided to his customers. Therefore, discounts are removed based on inexperienced and deceptive employees. One of his employees Dena will mislead then tell you she’ll call you back but never does. I know the insurance increased but not as much as mine. Derek told DOI that I suspend alternately which had nothing to do with removing Good Payer Discount. I’ve contacted the Attorney General Office and was told to contact DOI in which I told them I had. I think DOI and Allstate have some type of agreement.

Allstate canceled us after 22 years, no claims
We had Allstate insurance on our home and cars for more than 22 years. We had never filed a claim, ever. They told us we had to trim a tree and replace 4 tiles on our roof or they were going to cancel our policy. We trimmed the tree and replaced one part of our roof. We hadn't made it to fix the tiles yet and they canceled our policy. They canceled us after 22 years, never having filed a claim, for 4 tiles. Now we have State Farm, the same coverage, lower cost. Use your imagination on what we think about Allstate now. - F. Baker. Northern Kentucky.

We got hit by an Allstate insured car
We got hit by an Allstate insured car. When we tried to file a claim with them, we got hung up on by the first representative. Second time, we were on hold for 20-30 minutes and got nowhere having to repeat ourselves multiple times. Finally, the third representative was able to help- or so we thought. They misspelled multiple things on our claim leaving us unable to log into our claim online and still with unanswered questions and nothing done. It has taken over 2 hours of trying to get the claim filed and Allstate has created 2 different claims for this accident, given us no rental, or assistance to get any help. I do not recommend this insurance agency to anyone and if you get hit by them just have your insurer help you because Allstate will not. Very dissapointing!!!

Horrible!!
Horrible!!! If your phone carrier is VOIP absolutely do not! You cannot call in, create an acct. You will have to call in from a LAN line and promised multiple times that I would receive my insurance cards via snail mail and email. Nope. If you want to fight their bots every 6 months this is for you. God forbid you are in an urgent situation and need to contact them, you won't be able to unless you have access to Grammy's phone 👵

Claims Filing - A Joke
I have filed several claims with this company and all of them have been denied for whatever reason they want to come up with. First I find out they did not have an email address for me on file but when you submit a claim that info is required as well as a contact phone number. All this info is on your enrollment form for open enrollment. They deny the claims and you are not notified why. You have to keep logging in to see the claim has been denied. Tried calling their phone number to ask what was needed for the claims and no one answers the phone, on hold for about 10-20 minutes each call. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COVERAGE!!!

Never go to All state from racism comments that’s accepted by Ontario claims manager, doing nothing is accepting this as normal behaviour, not paying claims based on wanting receipts and saying “you people need to learn to use credit when you come to this country” courtesy of their senior adjuster Nelson Fodor and asking you to jump through hoops to settle a claim and still not settling after 6 months and asking you to illegally obtain receipts for a mother on life support in hospital yeah I can’t wait for my interview with ctv news and cbc news so that I can expose Allstate and their staff for unethical behaviour. Their website says please speak to your agent to resolve this however because the agents only get paid to sign you they do nothing, once they got your money you and nothing to them our agent is ilham rizick from windsor useless. So please stay away from Allstate

55 years with All-State auto insurance…
55 years with All-State auto insurance and finally made a claim. Took 2 weeks and many, many calls before I got the claim started. Now, weeks later I'm still waiting for an adjuster so I know where I stand. Terrible Terrible customer service.

Good Hands?
On 11/14/2022, unfortunately, I had a loss. The handling of my claim was subpar at best. First, there was no personal touch. Everything was handled electronically which did not give me a good feeling. Next, the person responsible for determining the value of my car rated it as used, and overlooked the fact that I had the auto replacement endorsement which entitled me to be paid out as if the vehicle were a year newer, with 20,000 less miles. Once I corrected all this with him, Allstate requested a lien release from a bank who not only didn't appear ANY place on the title, but verified over the phone that they had NO interest in my vehicle. Still, Allstate demanded the lien release from them, and it took me to get into a screaming match with the adjuster to release my funds. When they finally did, it was for the lower estimate, as the corrections were never updated in the system. The payment had to be recalled, and the proper amount issued. Finally, the salvage yard was provided an improper mailing address by Allstate, so my tags are in the wind someplace. I have no idea where they are. This whole process was a lot more frustrating and time consuming than it had to be. The claims department is useless.

Very bad customer services/ Stay away from this business
Very bad customer services. They are rude over here and customer services talk in any kind of way with customers. Stay away from this business. Once you have a problem to solve you find only incompetent and rude customer services representatives here NO ALL STATE WE ARE NOT IN GOOD HANDS! SORRY after talking to several persons to try to solve this issue my problems are still the same STAY AWAY !

WOW Since last week I have tried 2…
NOT TRAINED OR JUST DON'T CARE. Since last week I have tried 2 emails to two different people at the Tapia Agency and 2 voice mails and 3 more calls to that office today that netted me rolled over to the main Allstate call center where each time they told me they could not help me. All I need is the declarations page for my flood policy! SERIOUSLY?!?! The people at Allstate call center actually said nope no can do!!! Nor do they care to take a complaint to improve customer service. I cannot even raise a response at the agency I bought it from since last week. I tried one more time; got rolled over again to a call center BUT THIS TIME got a human being who was willing to send me my policy declarations page!!!! So, people, when you are up against the wall just hang up and dial again because you might just get a competent & helpful person on the line...not the first time I have experienced this. I was gonna give them a 1 but since that guy is actually at this moment still trying to get my dec page sent to me, I gave them a 2. Horrible service I signed up with all state and never again will they or could they ever get my business. I was shopping around and had a current insurance carrier. Allstate quoted me a 528 rate for 6 months. I went for it and paid in full. Little to know a couple days later I get a call stating oh my we must of typed your vin nunber wrong. They then said your rate will go up 200. I said no way that's more than I'm paying now. I asked they cancel the policy and they said no problem. The policy doesn't start for 10 days. They told me they would not issue me a refund until the policy starts so they are holding my money hostage until after 14 days. Do not I repeat do not trust this company stay clear away. I will also make sure all my patients know the bad practices of this crap company.

This review is for the CLAIMS department only. This has been the WORST service I've ever experienced anywhere - in person or over the phone! I was given a claims adjuster - Kala Lawrence and the communication has been terrible. The first conversation between us was good and professional. She explained the process and how she would keep me updated along the way. All lies!!!! I've called and left numerous voicemails, but she does not return my calls. I called her from another number, and she picked up!!!! Then placed me on hold and hung up the phone, very unprofessional. Now I'm trying to get my reimbursement check and they have shorted me and per usual, she's not answering! Whenever I call, I speak with other claim adjusters who can't help me because I'm assigned to Kala but yet she responds to them via chat (while I am on the phone with them - but won't pick up my calls) .... how crazy?!? I've reached out to her manager Angela and left 3 voicemails and I've yet received a call from her. If you have Allstate and have to deal with the claims department, I hope you experience is much better than mine!! I hate to leave this review, but my hopes are someone in leadership sees this message and reaches out to me with a solution so I can be done with this claim - June 2022 to the end of November 2022 is too long to be dragging this claim out.

Refused to pay for damage
I recently changed my home and auto insurance to Allstate because it saved me money but that was a big mistake on my part. I Wish I had checked here before going with Allstate. The first thing they did was increase my homeowner's insureance by 16% the first year. Next they refused my claim for roof damage even though I had a contractor check and found damage. They sent someone out to look at the roof and denied the claim. We recently had a storm here and several housed in the neighborhood had had their roofs replaced. Including the housed on either side of me, the house across the street and the house behind me. I guess now I will have to do better research to find a reputable insurance company.

Of course you cant get a hold of a real person. Allstate screwed me out of $1000 when it was someone else’s fault. They are horrible to work with and would highly recommend you find someone else that will take the time to work with you instead of against you. HORRIBLE company I am 65 and on Medicare, but they don’t care about anyone. I don’t ever write bad reviews but I can’t get any help from them so they dont even deserve 1 star.

Not trustworthy, reliable
I own 2 townhomes and I had them both insured through Allstate. Unfortunately, they sold me the wrong insurance. Instead of a townhouse/condo insurance, they sold me the 3x the cost of a single family homeowners' insurance. I was never informed that this option existed and never asked if the HOA covers the exterior and roof. All this time I had the wrong insurance on those townhomes. Lucky I had no claim, which I'm sure would not have been paid, since they insured a non existent single family home. Not reliable or trustworthy. Agent not very responsive. Auto insurance overpriced.

Allstate agent sold me a policy… I’ve earned safe driver credits discounted premiums all to find out I NEVER qualified because of coverage amounts with my previous carrier??? And they give me less than 10 days to find new coverage!!! And to top it off because of THEIR SCREWUP my previous 8 years of auto coverage with my former carrier down the drain! The lady told me new quotes go by the amount of time you’ve been with your last carrier… GOOD HANDS???? I think NOT!

I thought I was in Good Hands with All State. I realize differently. Allstate claims representative/adjuster, Britney Williams practices deceptive techniques. She misrepresent information, basically she lies. I have requested another call from Miss Williams and was told not to call them because I have filed a claim with BBB and others. I filed my claim almost a year ago and after lengthy documents submission and several examinations under oath my claim was denied. Therefore, I repeat not in good hands better yet my experience no hands with All State . They didn’t even supply a finger. Allstate should stop the false advertisement for it is deceiving customers. I am not willing to pay for deception. I’ve submitted information constantly I was told they didn’t receive it; I resubmitted it . This has been one of the worst experiences in my life and I share this with Miss Brittany Williams and their attorney. Additionally, I completed two under oath examinations; once again, Chris Doyle, Allstate’ attorney requested documents I previously submitted to Ms. Brittany Williams. The documents were submitted, through fax, emails and Allstate’ Portal with no avail. I believe this was Ms. Brittany Williams techniques , let’s wear her out, she will cease communication and her claim. I was even informed that I had to cease communication with Allstate . Allstate called to inform me that because I had filed a complaint with BBB , the office of attorney general and more they couldn’t speak with me. although, they could continue receiving my premium. Not here and today. I cancelled my Policy. Ms. Brittany Williams , I am still waiting on that information regarding my second claim. I have not received any correspondence lately from Ms. Williams regarding my second claim; it is my time now, to seek legal counsel, this is my C plan!

Bought accident
Bought accident, spill coverage for furniture through Wayfair.ca. They were damaged and the resolution to the claim was to send me a stain kit. I am not a professional furniture restore expert and I did not pay almost $200 for insurance to be sent $20 in stain. Horrible commmunication through email and horrible costumer service. One superviser flat out lied to me.

Refusal to pay claim
In regards to my home owners policy, i thought I was covered and in "Good Hands", but apparently, I was wrong. After years of frequent storms and wind damage, my roof has started leaking, damaging my ceiling and leaking into my house. After having an adjuster come out and assess our claim, we are being told that Allstate will only replace missing roofing shingles, which will only cause more damage, and require multiple claims and multiple deductibles. My roof is over 15 years old. I have been a loyal customer with my house and cars for over 15 years. Looks like we may have to seek legal representation to make things right.

The same type of claim was submitted bout 10 years ago. The All State adjuster Randall Hull denied the claim. My credit card expiry date was changed apparently when I was sent a new card due to a change in teh card company and my payment never went though, I called the very next business day to change it as I have never missed a payment.They charged me a $50 nsf charge for without a warning like all other companies do Customer support was atrocioius. Avoid this company at all costs. Just a big insurance company ripping off us clients who cant find work during these times. Sickening.

Emergency roadside service (Allstate Motor Club) is the worst service Allstate offers. I called for towing service at 10:56 am. (time in text app). The tow truck's arrival time was around 1:30 pm, but then around 1:20, they canceled. They tried another tow and when I checked the app it had been canceled again. Then they told me about another towing company, which I called to confirm that they would come. After 5:20 pm, the app still showed "arrival time 4:49 pm". I called the Allstate Motor Club again and was told that they would cancel the call and try again with another company. I wasted my whole day and still no tow truck. Don't provide a service you can't handle.

I was rear-ended by an Allstate insured who admitted he was at fault, and Allstate made me pay for a rental car while mine was being repaired at their approved body shop, and they are deaf when contacting them to reimburse me for the rental car. I am still waiting for an adjuster to contact me about my neck injury. The accident happened on Sept.14 and still waiting on Oct.24th. I feel that they actually want me to contact a lawyer to finally settle this!

Signed my family up for Allstate’s Roadside Assistance program 6 months ago. My son had a dead battery at 11pm and used the app to request service. Long story short, he waited for over an hour with the app noting that someone was on their way, along with a “canned” count down on their eta, help never arrived. He tried to call to request service again and no answer through the roadside assistance 800 #, so he tried the app again, same “canned” eta response time and no one ever arrived. Absolutely terrible to leave a stranded person, alone. Given the terrible reviews on this site, this service lagging and Allstate is careless and irresponsible with their customer’s well being. Selling a service that doesn’t even provide, YOU ARE NOT in good hands with Allstate.

In Good Hands with Allstate: NOT !!!
We had Allstate coverage for our home, vacation home and autos. Premiums are high and go up substantially every year without any claims or violations. Then we had a rock hit our car windshield and had to pay completely out of pocket. Not covered. Next a hailstorm ravaged our neighborhood and all of our neighbors got new roofs. The roof inspector said "If you had any company but Allstate, you would get a roof. They are more interested in protecting their shareholders than their policy holders." So we cancelled all our policies and were hit with a surcharge on the auto policy which we had already paid in full. 3 strikes and you are out, Allstate. Unless you want to pay high premiums and get nothing in return, avoid this company like the plague!

Allstate has offered me the worst…
Allstate has offered me the worst experience of my life. Hail broke through my roof and flooded my attic, breaking through my ceiling. I had been using Allstate for two years, no claims. I was not reimbursed a penny for my interior 12 foot hole in my celing. They have now closed out my claim without paying my for any interior after I asked them not to. I will be moving to legal action at this time.

WARNING DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ALLSTATE! I was a customer for 12 years. The Allstate agent changed and the new agent started gouging me. Every six months it would keep going up and up until it became on affordable and I am a well seasoned driver with no claims except for windshield. I wound up going to Farmers Insurance who told me that Allstate was charging me double of what I should be paying. I canceled my policy and was told that I would receive a refund on the money that I had paid within two weeks. Two weeks went by and I called and they told me that the check was never endorsed and then I would receive the check in a week. A week went by and no check ever arrived and have now been well over the 30 days and I contacted them and they told me that the check that had been endorsed would not be received for another two weeks. They are sneaky they are liars they cheat the people they gouge the elderly and they should not be open they are not a good business and I had to turn them in for financial fraud which I put in a claim for my money I highly recommend not doing any business with Allstate ever.

Worst process and customer service
Replacing a car is incredibly frustrating. * On Fri I replaced a car on my policy. I never received the e-mail confirmation for this, but everything looked fine * On Sat I went to pick up my car. ** Called my agent to confirm my car is insured. After 2-3 min the auto answ. service couldn't take my call. Left a message; never got a called back. ** Called customer service who after a bit of searching confirmed my new car is insured. Drove the car home * On Mon I receive an email that the policy didn't go through - had to contact Allstate * Tried chat. After telling my story a few times due to disconnects, I eventually was told to call a specific number * Called provided number and got to roadside assistance (????) * Made several calls with Allstate to clear things up. Including 4 times to my agent (same non-response as before) * Eventually, the car was added to my policy through customer service. * I spent half of Monday calling etc to get my car insured. This NEEDS to be much easier. * It is Friday again, and have not received my proof of insurance (policy online shows), but still can't register my car with the RMV because I'm missing paperwork. I'm out!

My first claim with Allstate has been a complete nightmare! Terrance Robinson,my claim adjuster; mishandled my claim and delayed my parts from being ordered and my car from being repaired. Since Aug 17th, My car has been in the shop that Allstate recommended! Terrance Robinson lied to his boss and said that I told him that I was moving my car to another shop. But, he forgot to tell his assistant this lie! Because she said that the reason my claim was delayed is because I had to wait my turn. His assistant said that other clients were ahead of me and I had to wait for my claim to be processed! At this point, I blame Allstate for me paying over $1,500 in rental fees! Plus, I still cannot get a definite answer from this shop! Angel told me that he will have an update this Friday! Allstate cannot treat their customers in this fashion and expect to retain them as a customer!

Is this what you call bait and switch? I had full coverage on two vehicles at 1300$ every 6 months. I didn't like the price so long story short Allstate beat it by 200$ and I got back so many dollars with drive wise, which btw doesn't work correctly. Now at renewal tine my insurance is now 30$ more than my last company if paid in full with less coverage. Guess who is switching again??????

One of the worst insurance companies I have dealt with and I have dealt with many! I called and asked for a quote . They gave me a good quote and that was that afterwards they call me to say that they have to add my husband even though he drives his company truck and is insured with the company so rate goes higher . Then they go and call me again and say they lower the rate again and then they call me again and say it’s now higher because of my husbands tickets. And I can’t even exclude him as a driver cause they won’t allow it . Which didn’t make sense to me . I feel they were trying to take advantage of my situation and did not care about offering good customer service but rather making profit . Then I decide to not get insured by then and since we had started the process they were gonna charge me and them reimbursing my money back was “ up in a limbo” . So I don’t recommend that company to anyone

Allstate plays a nasty game with the "discounts" they claim to apply to your policy. be careful with these because what they do is they increase the discounts 'on paper' every time you add or remove something. These 'discounts', if you read about them, are only temporary so when the 'new customer' discount or the '$109.34 Early Signing' discount is no longer applicably for the renewal for example, they tack the price of the discount that you don't receive anymore onto your policy. Also they sneak on your policy the 'Drive Wise' discount $49.00, and when you abject, stating that you never requested this 'tracking application' they add that to your policy. They increase the discounts with any change whatsoever you make and they don't tell you. Who looks at the 3rd page discounts they're receiving? But when renewal time comes you don't qualify for several of these discounts anymore! RIP-OFF!! Big time.I kept my insurance with them for 3 months and then had enough.

Should have never left Mercury. My wife was rear ended. So we started a claim. Were not at fault. When the car was ready. I was informed we had to pay $1000 deductible. I called Mercury to get it waived. They said NO! They said I had to pay deductible up front. Then they would get deductible back from other parties insurance. Then they would refund me deductible And that it was a lengthy process. Now here's the slap in the face. They said the only time they waive deductible. Is when an uninsured or hit and run driver is involved. I was stunned. Never had this issue with Mercury. So now you know. Allstate has horrible customer service. This has been an awful experience. We will be switching back to Mercury as soon as policy expires. Where they dont have issues like this.

Find another Insurance Provider
Allstate is very hard to work with if you have to file a claim. They will do anything they can to get out of covering it. I filed a claim on damage to my roof which THEY estimated to be 8 years old when they covered my house (age stated in my policy documents). Now that I have filed a claim on it, my roof is too old and has depreciated in value so that their coverage will be far less than my deductible to make sure that they do not have to cover any of the repairs. If you use Allstate for your homeowners insurance you will have to pay for your own repairs. This has also been stated to me by multiple contractors including 1 of which they themselves sent to my house to evaluate the damages.

I have been with Allstate over 20 yrs, and always a good and loyal customer throughout these years. My 2020 Lexus got hit from the back this week, and I did not believe the car can be driven after the accident. I uploaded the damage photos to QFC as per Allstate request. Allstate gave me its Estimate of Record with amount of less than $1,900. I believed my car is either totaled or needed a major repair work. I called them and ask Allstate to give me a fair estimate because I did not want to be in the position between repair shop and insurance argument with the result of my car not get fixed properly. My request was rejected and was told they can not send an appraisal or redo the estimate until the repair shop give out its estimate. My questioned the manager from Allstate, his first name is Daniel, how this estimate was conducted and how he, as an manager, can adjustify this kind of ridiculous low amount in the estimate. He has no answer but keep on telling me it's initial estimate. At the end, he did not agree to give me a fair estimate, so I said to him 'good bye'. I am extremely disappointed after over 20 yrs with them, and expect to get a fair treatment when I need the help. I am switching the company. 'I am not in a good hand - Bye bye Allstate. I do not believe Allstate deserves a star or any star.

Allstate is excellent
Almost two years ago exactly, I totaled my pickup truck in a very serious accident caused by my own mistake of taking my eyes off the road for perhaps one or two seconds. My Toyota Tacoma pickup truck probably saved my life since it absorbed most of the impact. There were no witnesses or other vehicles or persons involved. Amazingly, I was able to walk away from the accident with just a broken wrist. The police, EMT, tow truck and I assume that the electrical company were called to the scene since I hit the curb and my truck then hit a utility pole. I wasn't drunk or driving under the influence. I made a careless mistake. Virtually every emergency agency that responded to the scene did a terrific job since despite having a minor injury, they needed to cut out my windshield with the jaws of life since my doors were inoperable. I was surprisingly in good shape and lucid for an accident that could have killed me. However, I'll never understand what gave the Warwick Township Police Department and EMT who responded to the scene to essentially blackmail me by taking me to a trauma hospital and I was forced to submit my blood for testing or be placed under arrest. I was unaware that the doctor prescribed medications for my disability were considered controlled substances but they weren't the cause of the accident and I was accustomed to driving with them in my system without a problem. Since I was unaware that the medications were considered controlled substances and if anything, helped me to drive, I thought that I had nothing to hide. The initial police report was fairly accurate as it said the cause of the accident was careless driving. After I finally had my broken wrist operated on 5 days later with a screw inserted permanently, I was released from the trauma hospital the next day. The operating doctor did a fantastic job since I was in severe pain but my surgery kept being pushed back because other trauma patients who were much worse off than me, kept coming in. I soon became familiar with the hospital PA system every time another trauma patient was brought in so I learned the "codes" regarding how seriously injured each incoming patient was, even if I never actually saw them. Even though my injury was relatively minor, after the doctor in the trauma ward tried to set the broken wrist, the pain became excruciating. Nevertheless, day after day after day went by and it became pretty evident that my surgery would keep getting pushed back simply by listening to the PA system and figuring out if yet another trauma patient(s) worse off than me were being brought in. Finally, my wrist was operated on 5 days after being brought to the hospital and I was amazed at how much the pain abated. Regardless of the fact that there was absolutely no reason to be brought to a trauma hospital and blackmailed by the Warwick Township Police Department who said that I was required to submit blood for testing or be placed under arrest, the day after the surgery I was released from the trauma hospital and I finally was able to call Allstate to tell my agent about my accident and how I totaled my truck. Allstate was amazing in taking care of everything imaginable regarding the accident and made a generous offer so that I could replace my pickup truck. I wasn't expecting Allstate to cover the costs associated with the impound lot, cover the first $5000 in medical bills and keeping me updated on the status of everything regarding my accident. The accident occurred September 2nd, 2020 so it will be two years in two weeks. I thought my life was ruined and if Allstate wasn't there for me, I don't know what would have happened. Three months after my accident, I received a letter from the Bucks County Magistrate charging me with DUI. For the past two years, I've been screwed over, lied to, misinformed and severely penalized for my accident by the Warwick Township Police Department, the EMT that responded to the scene, PennDOT, Intoxalock and the Bucks County legal system. I will readily admit that those medications were in my system but they had nothing to do with my accident and the organization whose motto is to protect and serve should be revised to blackmail and penalize. Outside of perhaps the tow truck driver, the electricians (since there were some downed wires) and I assume the fire department who I believe were the men who used the jaws of life so I could walk away from my accident through the cutout windshield, the Warwick Township Police Department and the EMT had no legitimate basis to take me to a trauma hospital and blackmail me into providing a blood sample or be arrested I assume after the surgery on my wrist. Outside of the few emergency responders that I mentioned above, Allstate responded quickly and thoroughly since being on disability, my income is limited.

I've been trying to get my money back since March 29 I had Allstate insurance for one month and they cancelled my insurance for no reason and now they are sending me letters saying I owe them money they really messed me up with my insurance there are a bunch of crocks I wish I never had them for my insurance so give me my money back before I have to get a lawyer it's been a really bad experience never again lost time and money with them they have to do something better

Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company! My husband had a "critical illness" policy with Allstate. Took the policy out in 2011. Through many critical illness--heart attack, leg amputation--Allstate claimed none of these were considered critical. Really? My husband recently passed away, and Allstate says I have nothing to claim. What a waste of our money for over 10 years.

I have roadside coverage on my policy. You NEVER get to speak to a real person after business hours. I do not recommend this company. Licate a more people friendly company.

Had Allstate home insurance for years. Hail storm did $17,000 damage to siding. Allstate paid $7000. Adjuster never visited, sits behind a desk in an office someplace. They actually made me cut off a piece of siding and send it to them, to prove the type of siding that was damaged. My request for escalation and review resulted in referral back to the same claims department. I dropped Allstate home, auto, and life insurance policies immediately, replaced them with Farm Bureau. Is that a smart way to do bursiness, Allstate?

DO NOT TRUST ALLSTATE WITH YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE. I am providing this review due to a recent experience with Allstate. I was deceived by Allstate Insurance when I originally signed up for coverage for one of my vehicles. I canceled the policy after Allstate told me I was under a coverage that I did not initially want. During this same time, Allstate charged me $40 per day for driving the vehicle, which was parked in Texas, while I was in Florida, and South America. The Allstate rep told me to send proof that I was away from the vehicle. I sent Allstate proof that I wasn't in the vehicle, nor the state of Texas where the vehicle was, and I provided proof that the vehicle was parked in Texas. After sending flight ticket dates with my name, and info, A CUSTOMER ADVOCATE REPRESENTATIVE NAMES BILLY called me. I don’t usually right reviews but after the experience I’ve been having, I feel like this is the only way I may be able to get their attention or customer care. In April of 2019 I decided to begin the process of closing my business, and to travel and work abroad, at which time my truck insurance policy with them was cancelled, as well as my renters insurance to my knowledge. At the end of April, I moved to BC, at which point I only had my stuff in storage remaining at the premises, and by August 2019 both me and my belongings were completely vacated and I was living elsewhere. Because I had closed my business account, since then, they have continued to charge me for rental insurance under my radar. Only because I was audited this year for my business in 2018 and 2019, and had to recover my banking information for my records, did I discover that they were still charging me. At this point, the charges have incurred to over $2,200. I immediately called them to resolve the issue and have them refund me (back in April of this year), at which point the asked me to provide them documentation that I was no longer at that address. I provided them with proof that I was working out of province with a t4, that I lived at a new address once returning with a rental agreement, an updated drivers license with a different address, and my new mortgage agreement for a house I purchased and now I have lived in since November of 2021 in Newfoundland (the prior address was in Ontario). Regardless, this was all cancelled at the same time my truck insurance was cancelled, and if they’ve not done their due diligence in completing the cancellation at that time, it should not now be my responsibility to prove otherwise, and yet I have thoroughly done so. Since April of this year when I have brought it to their attention, they’ve continued to charge my account. The agent on the file is no longer returning any of my emails or voicemails. I’ve spent the last 2 weeks on hold every day for 1-2 hours trying to get ahold of someone who can help me, and I keep getting pushed off without hearing back from anyone. This is now also severely affecting my work day. Last time I called, I insisted to remain on the line to wait for a manager or someone who can resolve the issue to be available, they refused to transfer for me, or find someone to help me, and I was once again told that “he will get back to you whenever he gets a chance”, in a very non challant manner, like I haven’t already been waiting for over 3 months, and told me she was unable to cancel it until her manager looked over the issue, and they are going to continue to charge my card. I don’t know what else to do now, money is extremely tight for me right now, and I need to be reimbursed my money owed to pay bills, and most definitely need to stop being charged for rental insurance I cancelled over 3 years ago. I hope that this review gets their attention, and I am happy to update in a better light if they do so efficiently.

So I used to have my home and auto with Allstate but I chose another insurance company that gave me cheaper rates for the same coverage. The effective date was April 12 and I called my Allstate agent Erica Leon in El Paso on April 11 to cancel effective the next day. No problem, she said. And by the way she never told me I owed $128. No bill in the mail neither. Next thing I knew, I get a letter from a collection agency that I owed the $128! I’m trying to protect my credit rating so this really gets my goat. I told Erica that this was underhanded. Her response? “We’ll, unless you expect me to pay it out of my pocket,” etc. etc. Also, when you try calling the corporate office, the call goes right back to this woman! I am also filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Affairs office. This type of business practice needs to be stamped out.

I really wanted to like AllState but you all go completely against your slogan, and I did NOT feel as if I was in good hands. It was ridiculous trying to get answers and an understanding of my policy and cancellation process. I simply needed a yes or no answer and the reps seemed to think it was okay to give open-ended answers and became short with me when I simply asked for an explanation of what it meant. Never again, I should've listened to my family. If you want better feedback, start with some of your policies, protocol, and management. You definitely don't have the customers in mind.

My complaint is quite long and complicated. Basically, our home was lost to fire in 2016. Rebuild resulted in inadequate construction. Settlement attempts have been unsuccessful and we are in legal limbo for 6 years. That is NOT a typo, 6 years. After 4 changes of claim representatives, the claim is still pending. Effectuated by my ex-husband, his exaggerated demands are being met, yet my simple request for issued checks, the amounts, and to whom has gone unanswered. He has successfully bullied Allstate into increasing their settlement offer by 100k, hey kudos, but my monetary interests are still being held hostage. To allow 6 years to pass with little to no movement is reprehensible.

As Discriminatory As You Can Possibly Get
My wife worked at one of Allstate's satellite offices. I proposed to her over the weekend. On Monday, her boss fired her after showing her ring off to a coworker. He took her into his office and explained she was being fired because he "believed in the Bible." My wife and I called Allstate HR at the corporate office and told them what had happened and they told us that because my wife worked at a satellite office, which were owned and run by individual people, those satellite offices could be run however they wanted and none of AllStates corporate protections applied. They basically said 'too bad so sad.' A little while later, before we'd had a chance to switch insurance companies yet (a long and tedious process) I got into a car accident. The other driver ran a red light, hitting me and I was sent to the hospital. I'm a transgender man and was literally about to change my legal name within a few days. I called Allstate to file the claim and asked that they use my new legal name. They said they couldn't because it wouldn't be official for a few days. I said 'fine, I'll call back in a few days." They then threatened me and told me if I didn't file "RIGHT NOW" they wouldn't take care of my claim. I was then forced to give my statement while being deadnamed and misgendered the entire time. Believe it or not this story it gets worse. So months go by. MONTHS. The insurance that was paying for a rental car runs out. I still have no reimebursment so I cannot buy a new car (mine was totaled.) I'm bein harassed by the bank over my car note, which obviously I wasn't paying since my car was totaled and Allstate was SUPPOSED to reimburse me for nearly everything. I had excellent coverage and excellent credit. I'm in constant contact with them. E-mails, phone calls, more e-mail, more phone calls. Every. Single. Day. And they will not give me the money. Excuse after excuse, and I'm deadnamed and misgendered every single time. Even though now my legal name has changed, they insisted on putting my dead name and wrong gender on the original report. So now people are VERY confused when they talk to me, hearing my deep masculine voice and seeing my pretty feminine name on paper. THANKS ALLSTATE! I was humiliated, endlessly, every day for over NINE MONTHS. Meanwhile, my wife is driving me to and from work because the insurance covering the rental car ran out months ago. My credit is being destroyed because I have no insurance money to buy a new car or pay the bank for the old car fee with, and I'm still recovering physically from the crash. I end up getting a lawyer and I told them "give me my money you've owed me for over 9 months now by tomorrow or I'm suing you." Magically, the next day, all the money was released. Allstate put me through a hell I cannot describe properly on this complaint. I never imagined in all my life how much hardship and hurt an insurance company could truly cause. Stay away. Far FAR away.

This company has a business model of denying claims. I had storm damage to my roof. Twice they said they would replace the roof and both times they changed their mind only offering to repair the damaged areas. A proper repair is not possible because the shingles have been discontinued. Doing research I learned that Allstate is rated as the very worst insurance company in America.

TRUSTING ALLSTATE WAS ONE OF THE WORST MISTAKES I MADE. I agreed to allow Allstate to cover my auto insurance after getting a quote of $149 per month. I paid a fee of $182 for the first month. After the first month Allstate sent me a bill for $249. I had not used the vehicle that was covered at all for the first month so I was concerned why I was being asked to pay an additional amount of $249 for the month. I called customer service, and the customer service was horrible. Customer service assured me that they would resolve the issue but never did. After weeks of dealing with the horrible service, and lack of integrity I canceled the horrible insurance policy. Allstate is a scam company that TRY'S TO STEAL millions, if not billions, from it's customers. There is NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY. Allstate has NO INTEGRITY according to my experience as they led me to believe they would cover me for one rate, and tried to extremely overcharge me at another rate that I did not agree to. DO NOT TRUST ALLSTATE WITH YOUR INSURANCE NEEDS.

Do not get Allstate insurance! I paid my homeowners premiums for decades and never filed one claim. Hail storm rolled through and did some damage. The adjuster, with a straight face, told me I had hail damage on my sheds roof, my AC housing, wooden fence and the metal components on my roof BUT, no damage to the shingles that is just blistering! Claim denied! The one time you need them they will screw you! Beware of the hype, they will do whatever it takes to deny claims. I will never use Allstate again!

I have had Allstate insurance for over 35 years. I recently found out that if I file a claim for $800 my rates will go up. I don't understand why I can pay them money for 35 years to protect my property but they cannot cover $800 for my FIRST AND ONLY claim. This is NOT morally right. Home and Auto Customer for 25+ yrs
I have been a customer for both home + auto for 25 years. But, I just learned, when it comes to you needing them at claim time, you are NOT in Good Hands. They quit caring about doing their jobs to support their customers and instead focus on how little they can pay to put things right. I've been waiting for an estimate and response on what was initiallyt $6k damage, and it has exploded into likely more than $40k. Even urgent messages and phone calls are not returned for more than 7 days to claims and an email 17 days later has the same response as the 1st day, "I'm waiting for pictures tomorrow and I'll be able to finish this up." 5 wks later, the adjuster still couldn't get the pictures and was on vacation in the midst of the 5 wks. It took 2 weeks for the new claims team to assign an adjuster, and after 7 weeks of a temporary tarp roof through record level Texas Wind, Thunderstorms and hail, my home was getting seriously damaged and there was still no sense of urgency from Allstate. Several people involved with my claim were on vacation while handling my claim and were not reachable or responding for 10 days. I had a commercial, 20-40 yr. rolled-tar flat roof on a large add-on section of my home that was installed by Allstate in 2009 when the previous structure was destroyed. In 2016 they replaced the composition shingles on my main roof and deemed this flat roof fine. It was only 7 yrs old. in Mar 2022, Allstate tries to first tell me they won't cover the roof but will cover all other damage to the home because of a picture the new adjuster was looking at from 2016 showing the edges of the tar roof flipped up, but no damage to the home. After I told him that Allstate replaced my composition roof and deemed the flat tar roof was fine in a claim in 2016, which is likely when that picture was taken, he said he would have to get back. He came back to say nothing was covered! I've got help, a great contractor with a public adjuster, and will try to handle it without legal action, but I've been told that Allstate is having a record level of class-action lawsuits and legal problems from troubles paying claims, and they are now listed as the worst Insurance Company for paying claims in the USA on a search. They lost Home and Auto business from my 4 siblings, my elderly mother, my son, and 2 other friends of the family, and it likely won't stop there. I wonder how many times this is happening now to them? No wonder they are having trouble paying claims? For every customer they short change, they lose 8 more! Smart management!

Had a storm go through our area damaged roofs on some houses including ours ,called a contractor to access damage, talked to my neighbor and they are getting their roof replaced, Allstate got back with us,no new roof going to patch it,our roof suffered more damage than neighbors, we switched a couple years ago dropping them like a hot rock, really this is what happened, I feel bad Allstate feels great saving money.

I joined Allstate about 6mos ago, and I'm shocked at th poor rating they've received. Of course I haven't filed a claim, but I can say, pricewise they must be doing something right. I've been called and have received quotes from several companies, and no one has beaten their price. I know price isn't much if the service is bad. I'll have to see what happens.

Refurbished desktop with extended "
I purchased a refurbished desktop with an Allstate extended warranty. Its had hard drive failure from day one but we could use it by restarting 10 times a day. Since it was refurbished I thought I needed to use the Allstate protection plan. They have a 30 day window before coverage begins. Now Newegg wont take it back since it's been over 30 days and Allstate won't cover it saying it was a "preexisting Condition". Newegg has referred me to a "seller" twice and the seller claims it was not thier sale. Now I have a $300 brick with a $50 extended ""nothing" warranty. Pathetic service. 4+ hours of phone calls, chats, emails and no one accepts responsibility. For a small business technophile with 5 desktops and innumerable "gadgets" I will NEVER use this platform again .

My experience has involved multiple phone calls, absurdly long wait times, and I have consistently been told one thing while the company representatives did another. BRANDON INFANTE, is a very incompetent, untrustworthy, baiting agent. Gives you a quote, then will ask you more questions and connivingly raise your quote higher. Does not get back to you when he says, or at all, when he decides to reach out, he will tell you when he will call rather than check when you are available. This incompetent agent will waste your time and will change your quote premium at the last minute. My advise is get a better, trustworthy, mature and professional agent. We'll see what Allstate will do about this if their brand means anything to them.

Everything seemed great at first. I was paying a lot less than my previous insurance company. Until I wasn't one day. It's like they start you off with all these great discounts and then over time they take them away and you end up paying the same. Furthermore they use false advertisement to lure you in with discounts and they don't actually give them to you. I brought this to the attention of the company and they didn't do anything to rectify it or to make it right. They continue to bombard me with text telling me that I'm going to get discounts and when I reach back out there's no discount they're trying to get me to pay more into my policy. I cannot wait to find a new company because I'm just so unhappy with this company now I wish I never traded over to them.

Complete let down
Complete let down. Damaged shingles on the roof, water leaking in through attic, 2 rooms need repaint ceilings, plywood needs be replaced as rotting from rain coming through and they said total damage estimated $800 lol, that’s crazy. My roofing contractor laughed when I told him that. We getting reinspection and will involve public insurance adjuster who will work with us rather than insurance adjuster working against their customers. We have home and car insurance with them, but will not be renewing them.Totally disappointed with allstate

NO SERVICE JUST RUDE
I bought my daughter a policy when she was a teenager/minor and she has made all the payments on that policy. She is now 40+ and I have tried over and over to get the policy in her name. I have mailed forms faxed forms and filled them out on the computer to no avail. I am 70+ and they harass me and say they didn’t get it, the forms have changed, it must have been misplaced etc. why can’t I simply put it in my daughters name before I pass away. I have never done business that is great if you’re buying but customer service is NOT in their vocabulary. Sign me FED UP

High Priced and High Pressure
1. From their 2/22/22 online auto insurance quote I can get less expensive insurance in N.M. 2. In the 8 days since the quote I received 3 emails in 25 minutes after the quote, 7 calls (none of which I answered) and a letter. I consider any company that contacts me more than 3 times about a quote to be Overbearing and of Poor Judgement !!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I insured my phone with Allstate. I have to admit, when I first heard it was Allstate, I was relieved. "This is a high end insurance company," I thought. "They will make the process less painful." My phone broke over two weeks ago and I filed a claim. 1st they sent me to a residence, where the owner had no idea what I was talking about. Then I took it into a shop. They couldn't repair it. Six phone calls and four emails later and...crickets. The fifth time I called, she told me that for the past 3 phone calls, the customer service rep did NOTHING but try to get me off the phone. They were supposed to email and snail mail me an address label to return my old phone. The call center is in India so there is something lost in translation but it sounded like they were doing something. Call #7, I was cut off half way through giving my claim #. Now the cheapie TracFone I've bought blocked the number because there is a record of fraud from that number. Do I really want to give them my credit card info? All but one email has gone unanswered. I'm desperate. I'm a working mom with three kids and no way to reach them or do my job. I seriously don't know where to turn. If anyone has any helpful suggestions, I'd love to hear.

My daughter was hit by a driver who had Allstate as the insurer. They have been the most dificult company I have ever dealt with. My daughters car was ultimately totaled and the company that Allstate uses to evaluate the value of my car has been sued multiple times because of the unethical practices they use to evaluate total loses. Allstate is not offering what I would need to pay for my car in todays numbers and now are threatening to decrease the amount to offset storage fees. They also took posession of my vehicle without my authorization. Allstate sucks. I can assure you I will never use theses guys for any issurance needs. I hope you dont either.

UPDATE -No one can answer simple questions…
I just wasted almost 4 hours of my life trying to sign up for car and rental insurance, 2 calls and 2 chats later NO ONE would answer a simple yes or no question about their payment system. They charge you extra to use a credit card but then you go to the "pay today" section and it will ONLY let you use a credit or debit card. So I was asking if it would cost more to pay with the credit card like it stated above and NO ONE WOULD ANSWER. They all talked around it and would not say if it would cost more or not. THEN even though I was already at the payment screen, the next person I spoke to on the phone gave me a HIGHER rate and then said something about it was because of running my VIN through some system, but I had entered EVERYTHING online and was at the payment portion/screen, so wth? FYI the first agent that I spoke to said there are more options for coverage online than through them (what kind of s&*t is that?) and she didn't even know the difference in two of the policy options! About "Regular" vs "Plus" on Uninsured Motorist. Maybe it was all a sign I should not use Allstate! (As well as the plethora of horrible reviews here already!) UPDATE: While I was writing the above, the last phone agent I spoke to called me back repeatedly from a personal number, I screened the calls (with google call screener) so after not being able to reach me he actually texted, "F*@k u bi*ch" (spelled out) - no joke and I have the pictures to prove it. Complaint has just been filed with the BBB.

One of the worst companies in southwest Florida. I’ve had auto insurance for 55 years and have never dealt with such a crooked company. Recently divorced and my X Completely removed his vehicle and name from the policy. I was the policy Sole owner with only one vehicle registered to my Florida home. Since I drive very few miles, I found a better quote from another company and decided to cancel the Allstate policy. Instead of sending the refund to the address on file and the owner of the vehicle insured, they issued a check to my Xhusband who no longer had anything to do with the policy. If you forfeit your policy, and remove your vehicle from this policy, you have no right to a refund. I am currently filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as this practice should be illegal. I do not recommend this company at all. Beware! ***. Not even accredited with the BBB.

Waste of money
I had Allstate house insurance for 7 years and I was paying $155 a month and had my house covered for everything. My roof started leaking from a wind and rain storm and they wouldn’t help us at all pay for a new roof! And I had my kids living in the house. My husband and I were so mad! And there excuse was that the roof was installed incorrectly. Really? Then why did you approve me for the insurance?? What a waste of money!

She has refused to call in a reservation for my car rental and still refuses to do so. Accident happened on 22nd of december and adjuster has still not been sent out after many calls to her. It is the responsibility of allstate to call in a rental reservation when their insured is at fault . I was forced to pay a 20% fee because of the reservatio0n not being called in by Allstate. I am tired attempting to call this in and will now file a complaint with the Insurance Commisioner and will now hire attorney to handle this . Absolutlye the worst Insurance Co to deal with..

I requested an insurance quote from Allstate. I was quoted a rate of $697 for 6 months for insurance coverage for 1 vehicle. The quote was high but I agreed and allowed Allstate to cover my vehicle. That day I paid an initial fee of $188, and was told I would pay $149 for the next 5 months. The newly insured vehicle stayed parked for the entire month because I was out of town for work. I received a call from Allstate 3 weeks after starting insurance coverage. The rep told me I owed an additional $210. This was on top of the $188 I had already paid. I followed up with Allstate a few days later to understand why I was being charged extremely more than I was quoted, and had agreed to pay, for a vehicle that I had not even driven. The rep told me she would send the issue to the right department, and it would be resolved. The issue was never resolved. I called Allstate again to make sure the issue was resolved. I spoke to 3 reps, and 1 of the reps yelled at me, and was extremely rude to me. Do not trust Allstate with your insurance coverage. They were very unethical, and had no integrity in their business, as they provided me a quoted rate, and tried to charge me way more than quoted. They provided horrible customer service.

Called 8332509900 Spoke to a david at 10:51AM PST on 12/29/2021 transferred to the Personal Lines Department for assistance with a Mutual Client the Client was on the line confirmed his identity and granted permission to assist on Insured behalf. David your allstate agent was VERY rude and disconnected our call because we were providing policy number instead of Insured. Agent proceeded to say sir I need your policy number insured stated that we can provide the policy number and agent didn't want to assist and hung up on us without any sort of help or explanation just said he was going to hang up. All-State cancelled our auto policy…
All-State cancelled our auto policy without our knowledge. They added over $700 to our policy without telling us. They didn't advise us that our proof of prior insurance was unacceptable. Very sneaky and dishonest!
