Advantages Over Regular Banks

You can save time and money by banking wherever you are. You can make deposits, pay bills, and monitor your account more closely, without ever driving to a branch office or standing in line. These conveniences make CIT Bank one of the best online banking companies for those who prefer to manage their finances digitally.

The bank saves money, too, by not maintaining brick-and-mortar branch offices. It can pass savings on to you in the form of fewer fees and higher interest on your savings.

If you still need to get cash from an ATM, don’t worry. When you use an ATM from another bank, the fees are deducted from your account. However, at the end of every statement period, CIT Bank reimburses your account for up to $30 for ATM fees.

Cutting-Edge Banking Services

CIT Bank offers the latest online and mobile banking services, including:

  • 24-hour access to your account for better financial control
  • Easy money transfers between accounts
  • Online bill pay
  • Customer support by email, chat, or telephone
  • Integration with Apple Pay® or Samsung Pay™ using your eChecking debit card
  • Debit card controls, including the ability to turn your card off and on, establish limits, and set alerts
  • Text banking for checking your account balances and transaction history
  • Online calculators to help you manage your money, such as the Savings Calculator
  • Sending and receiving money from trusted friends and family with Zelle®

Traditional Banking Services

In addition to offering mobile and online banking, CIT Bank provides traditional banking services, including:

  • Mortgage loans
  • Wire transfers
  • Retirement accounts, including Roth and Traditional IRAs and Coverdell Education IRAs

Highest savings rate.
I don't know why this bank has such a low rating on here. I've been banking with them (just an online savings account) for over 4 years and have had no issues. Their savings rate is among the highest in the nation and there's no holding period either. I haven't had a requirement to contact customer service so I wouldn't know from that experience like many other reviewers. But from my experience with banking with them, it's 5/5 for the highest savings rate.

Perfect HYSA experience
These reviews are baffling to me. CIT has been the best HYSA experience I've had to date with my albeit limited experience. There have rarely been any issues, and in the rare cases that something goes wrong, their native english speaking staff resolve it immediately. Never had any real issue whatsoever in 5 years

Excellent customer service
At first it seemed like it was going to be very difficult to work with CIT after my father’s death. It took longer and more information to verify my identity than with other banks. BUT I may have just been being impatient. Once I was assigned an estate coordinator all my questions were answered and everything began moving quickly and thoughtfully. I received a check from them before all the other banks that my father had funds in that were quicker to verify my identity. I have to give a very special thanks to Johanna Campos and Isabel Alba. They have been really patient with me and have taken their time to step me through the process and explain everything. I am grateful for their time and expertise.
