Great service, highly recommend
Great service, I walked in and was served immediately. They were very thorough (which is good) and I had a new business account set up in 30 minutes, approved for business within 24 hours. You guys are PROS thank you. I look forward to a very long healthy relationship with your bank

Chase bank is holding my dead brother’s…
Chase bank is holding my dead brother’s last Social Security check hostage! After getting documents showing my rights to his account , Chase won’t release all of the money. I was told they need to wait for it to be reclaimed by Social Security. In contacting Social Security, they tell me they won’t reclaim, because it’s his. Back to bank, they say I need to supply Social Security form 5284. I actually go to a SS office to get form. There I experienced a serious frisk of my body before entry to find out they don’t give out that form. Chase has no right to hold on to that money, and the branch manager has very little experience in communicating why they are.

Legal thieves
I can't understand why anyone would give these thieves more than 1star. I just paid my credit card off for over 5000.00 dollars and now they want me to pay the interest because it was the middle of the statement period are you serious, how much interest do you make anyway thieves. They need to be outlawed, legal theft and no one cares, I'm changing banks immediately, if your crazy enough to stay with these thieves good luck.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I had my identity stolen and tried to dispute it through claims and not only have they sent me through multiple agents I’ve been given multiple answer, nothing had been done to resolve it and they depleted my savings account in the process to make up for the fraudulent transactions. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR MONEY. They left me completely broke and in debt and did nothing to help

I've never dealt with a worse bank
I've never dealt with a worse bank! Every time you call, a different response is given. They tried to keep the money when I reported suspected fraud on my account, and they closed it. Leave this horrible firm now! The best money-making company I have ever used is F🅾️r~tuneGr🅾️up; they are quite skilled, and the reward is very substantial.

Worst bank I’ve ever dealt with! You get a different answer every time you call them. Plus, they send you email advising you to check your “notices” online, but when you go there, it says there are no notices. When I reported suspected fraud on my account, they closed my account and trying to keep the money. Run from this awful business!

Called and sent secure messages 8 times or more to correct phone number access in to my account online. Each time was told it would be corrected. Has not yet. If I could give it a 0 I would
If I could give it a 0 I would. I called about a fraudulent charge as my pre teen sibling had used my card and personal information to make a purchase. I was VERY transparent about the situation and did everything I could (contacted the merchant and Chase ASAP) only to waste a month waiting for an update and be treated like a criminal. Despite having specified my email address and personal information had been used they still circled back and insinuated I made the purchase and encouraged me to file a police report as “evidence” instead. Whereas my friend whose pre teen son did a similar stunt, her bank reimbursed the charge without any issues. It’s infuriating wasting so much time and energy doing everything you can only for chase to not give you the slightest care or support I needed.

I had a very Disappointing Lack of Transparency: My Experience with Chase
I had a very disappointing experience with the Chase Freedom Card when I applied for their credit card and later found out that there was a foreign transaction fee that had not been properly disclosed. This resulted in an unexpected charge that ultimately cost me a credit card inquiry when I had to cancel the card. I was very frustrated with the lack of transparency and felt that the credit card issuer had not lived up to their responsibility to properly disclose all important fees and terms upfront. I reached out to their customer service representative to express my concerns, but unfortunately they were not aware of the issue. This lack of knowledge further added to my disappointment. Overall, I had a negative experience with this credit card issuer and would caution others to be aware of potential hidden fees and to do their due diligence before applying for any credit card.

Not safe for purchases
Zero stars. Will not defend you against fraudulent charges. I filed a dispute for a fraudulent charge with Chase. They denied it. I filed the same dispute with the merchant, and they gave me a refund. I wrote Chase to inform them of this (not asking for a refund since I already got it). They sent a letter back telling me that they were right and I was wrong.

I am so sorry I ever got involved with this bank. They have inferior platforms for all their banking services.their fees are extremely high. I switched from B OF A. and regret it. I had to open a 15000. Cd to get free checking. Now with rates going up I wanted to close, they will take 200 $ for the early withdrawal.

Failed to Notify Me of a Fraudulent Transaction
Time to change banks. Chase let a fraudulent charge go through without alerting me. I caught it in spam. Bank said I should sign up for purchase and charge alerts then report anything suspicious. However they simultaneously said that fraud is suspected when shipping address is different than the cardholder or account holder address (as is the case here). Cardholder was not alerted. Also no AMOUNT of dollars for a transaction would trigger a fraud alert to the customer, according to Chase.

They will cheat you out of offers, I had to manually get opt in for an offer (which is dumb it's not automatic). Then I get no applied offer to my balance and then they tell me I never did! I swore I checked the offer and they say otherwise. They must uncheck stuff for you to screw you out of deals.

The lies they will took you!
When I opened my account with Chase I was told that if I put a check in my account that was drawn off of the same bank that it would be available immediately no matter what day it was. I have also had checks held for 21 days. For a small business owner it is extremely difficult to function with a financial institute like this. They have told me lies from the time I started my account all the way until today when they will not make my funds available like they said.

Beware. Chase May remove your External ccount
First I decided to modify this review as it was too long winded and wanted to offer better advice As to my situation, Normally I would give Chase at least four stars as I have been with them for 7 years and I'm in an existing Private client account holder and they have been pretty good in most cases. But today they wasted about 5 hours of my time because noone knew what was going on. Today Chase showed me how the Big banks are so big that they don't communicate with their own departments. Hence, this is 2 star review In short, all my cashflow happens on Chase. So I often go on to chase and transfer funds out to another bank or I bring funds into CHASE (AKA ACH Debit) from another bank. So from the CHASE Website, I tried bringing funds into my CHASE account from another bank. It was a large transfer which I have done before with this external bank (AXOS). But Chase Rejected the transfer. I called CHASE and spoke with the EFT/ACH department and in short, they told me CHASE is no longer offering External Account Debits Needless to say, Chase Customer service and branches are unaware of it as I went down to the branch and we called customer service to confirm the policy change. Chase also began to provide different reaso for the rejection! Somewhat going to a different M.D. and getting a differnet diagnosis. reason. The big issue after CHASE rejected the ACH Debit, was Chase remove my External Account! So now I cant even transfer funds out of CHASE into that account! The removal of the account, along with CHASE not communicating with their departments, has led to filing 2 compalints with governing bodies. The CFPB and the OCC. CHASE is accountable and must be accurate to governing agencies, especially the OCC, so there shouldnt be any wrong answer or shenanigans So if you are having an issue with any bank, contact both of these institutions. The CFPB will get an answer for you within 15 days. OCC will take much longer

Cannot deposit cash
I banked with Chase for over ten years. I left when I found out Chase helps with travel expenses of female employees who must travel in order to kill their unborn children. When I started looking into other banks I realized how horrible the rates are that Chase pays out (if any). Today I went to Chase to deposit cash into my wife's account, and despite that she provided me with her account number I was told I was unable to deposit cash into her account. Other banks allow this, so I don't understand this strange prohibition. The only reason I gave this bank two stars is that they never wrongly assessed fees to my account.

Trust all the reviews
Trust all the reviews. Do not open any kind of account with them. The mortgage lending practices are racist and scandalous. They are not equal opportunity lender. I won’t go into details here - but had first hand experience recently. Their checking and savings are littered with unnecessary holds and check points - I get declined everywhere for random reasons, yet for large sum of spending they seem ok with it. There’s no pattern to how or when or where they’ll decline a transaction REGARDLESS of how much money you have. One day I get declined at Whole Foods, another I won’t. One day I’ll they all accept me paying a bill, same bill a month later will get declined. No reason. No communication. I think they forgot that it’s MY money. The customer service is possibly the worst I’ve ever worked with. They drag things on. Provide templated responses. No customer care at all. Just a headache of back and forth, or they’ll just ignore you. Seriously save yourself the headache and just avoid Chase. All the reviews are correct. It’s one giant scam of an operation.

Deceptive Credit Card Practices
Chase Sapphire Credit Card allowed a transaction to occur while my card was locked. I have photo proof. They acknowledge that my credit card was indeed locked. Now they are telling me a locked card doesn't prevent a charge from going through- so why deceive the customer and show it as locked? Obviously they lied to me that my account was locked. They refuse to reverse the charge. Beware of purposely deceptive practices with Chase. They used to be a very good bank.

GOT SCAMMED £4000
DO NOT USE CHASE! I got scammed for £4000 a week ago, the scammer pretends to be CHASE's fraud team, he could accurately say my full name and my account is being misused in another city. He told me that he could help me upgrade the security and open a new account. I could transfer the money to a 'new' account and it is UNDER MY NAME. CHASE has no security or notification popping out warning me the account number and payee details were different. How can Chase systems went through the payment? All the other banks will have a notification before the transaction. Chase could never give me a response even I asked the customer service everyday for updates. Don't fall for their 1% cash-back and 3% interest rate savings. Their security could cost way more than these benefits.

I’ve been with Chase since 2019
I’ve been with Chase since 2019, a good customer with two bank accounts . Unfortunately I am a victim of a gift card scam January 2023, my main account was hacked by the scammer and I was threatened to return money with gift cards after this scammer somehow put a lot of money into my bank acct. I’ve filed several claims with the claim departments because the scam put my account over $1100 in the negative . The claim department won’t and can’t fix this because the form of the scam! Because I was tricked into getting gift cards to return the so-called federal funds to the scammer , they won’t help me ! I’m beyond upset when they call me today to discuss the negative balance (which hasn’t been touched since the scam) because I’m not paying it , it’s not me who did this ! They don’t protect us from scams !

PLEASE DONT BANK WITH ThIS BANK..
PLEASE DONT BANK WITH ThIS BANK.. A security check has been carried out due to a sum of money landing in my account , I fully understand this and total agree check should be carried out to protect both the account holder - the payee and also the bank. The sum was for just over £9000 which is not an insignificant amount but also not life changing, it came from a person who has not deposited into this account before so checks were made and welcome. The amount was for an item purchased and both the purchaser and myself were happy with the outcome, the bank on the other hand were not happy with the transaction and asked for extra info , which I was happy to supply, that should have Been the end of the matter as the purchaser also informed there bank they were happy with the transaction. We’re are now into day 5 and my account is frozen with no proper communication and just the same text saying it’s under review , I have now money with no access to it my account and no urgency to solve the problem caused entirely but them! Please bank elsewhere do not trust them , I have no access to this money and no details when I can access it…….

Don't trust Chase
I run my creditcards for my business at chase bank . They charge 3.5% to process my creditcards to get same day deposits . Otherwise they charge 2.5% and you wait 3 days to get the money . On 2/17/23 I ran my business creditcards throught quick accept @ 12:30 pm paid 3.5% to get it the same day . Chase still has not released the funds into my account today is 2/23/23 . After hours of phone calls and 3 trips into the branch . I was just notifed they closed my creditcard account in an email no explaination just say's its closed Reason says none ? They are holding on to my $5,645.61 for 120 days just in case there is a charge back? Chase quick pay wrote a response to my email asking when they will deposit the funds Their reply was we decided to close your account good luck with a new merchant for creditcard processing . The worst customer service !

Chase will not protect you from online scams
I was the victim of an online scam. I called Chase customer service immediately and told them to stop the payment. They let the payment go through. When I filed a dispute, they sided with the crooks even though I documented the phone records with them. Since they aren’t willing or able to protect their clients from online scams, there is no reason to do business with them. I cancelled my credit card with them even though I had been a client of theirs for 15 years. Can’t trust them to do their job because they don’t. Buyer beware.

They Steal and don't protect your $
My experience with this Bank was I was always getting overdrafted wasn't understanding why the reason why I was getting over drafted almost every month I would have to pay the bank almost 2 to $300 in overdraft fees and couldn't figure out why I was being over drafted this went on for almost a year and I finally looked at my bank statement or went to the bank I had the lady look at my statement and we figured out that there was a company that was taking money out of my account every month that was sending my account into overdrawn status we called the company the lady at Chase help me and we figured out that they were taking money out of my account and did not have permission to now that company refunded me all my money that they had taken out for the last year and a half Chase Bank would only give me back 3 months worth of my overdraft fees after this had been going on a year now this is supposed to be my bank protecting me and my money so anyway after I argued with Chase that they should be returning all my overdraft fees which were more than $2,000 worth they told me they were only going to give me 3 months worth of my overdraft fees now if that isn't a bunch of thieves.. this is supposed to be a bank protecting my money and all they're doing is stealing my money then these mfs had the nerve to sue me for $1,200 for overdraft fees...CHASE BANK STEALS FROM BLACK PEOPLE ONLY OUT FOR THEMSELVES....

If I could give negative stars to Chase I would!
If I could give negative stars to JP Morgan/Chase, I would! Take your money out of this institution as quickly as you can! My father passed away in March of 2021 and I am STILL trying to roll money out of his IRA into a beneficiary IRA. From day one and one many different levels, I have found Chase's people to be inadequately trained. I have lost more hours of my life on the phone on the phone with this bank than you can imagine. One day I will be told what to do by one person, only to be told by the next that it was wrong. Rolling IRA's over from TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab couldn't have been easier and faster! I have had problems with his safety deposit box, with sending wires, with being locked out of the account, with paperwork getting misplaced, with never being informed that there was an error on the paperwork (such as a Financial Advisor incorrectly filling out paperwork), to the wrong type of account being opened. If you insist on sticking with Chase, my best advice is to call them to follow up on everything you do with them. If something is wrong, you will never know and ages will pass unless you call to check on things. Just don't use this company for any level of financial service...EVER!

My mom lost $20,000 through a wire…
My mom lost $20,000 through a wire fraud transfer that was allowed by this bank. Someone went into her account and wired $20,000 to a Wells Fargo account. We tried to work with this bank to give her money back and they did nothing. They do not protect their clients money but rather just allow crazy amounts of withdrawals to leave your account without the proper verifications and then Tell you that there is nothing they can do about it. Now my mom has to go and hire a lawyer to possibly sue this bank so she can try to get her money back… literally her whole entire savings gone because chase didn’t do their due diligence to protect her money. We will be closing all of our accounts including our business account because we simply do not trust this bank to protect our money that we work so hard for.

Zero customer service
I have 3 business accounts, 3 credit cards, and 7 personal bank accounts with Chase for over 20 years. It feels like I spend more time chasing down someone within Chase to help me solve problems their system has created than I am actually working on moving my life/business forward. I have had 2 personal bankers in the last 6 months the first one just stopped answering me, I later found out she had moved to a different location and now the second one has stopped responding and my emails say his address is no longer valid. They constantly reject payments to vendors I make and deposits I make. They send a notification email with no ID on which account it is. I have 25 deposits from my business renters that Chase has rejected and now I have to take time to go back to my renters and prove to them and request another check to replace it all the while they reject more deposits. This is only the tip of the iceberg of my complaints. I am looking for a different bank that can actually help their customers instead of creating more work for me.

MONEY HOLD - Poor Business Practices & Unprofessional Customer Service
If I could give a minus star rating I would. Very unprofessional, hold monies for no just cause causing your account to go into overdraft, charging ridiculous fees....I am very disappointed and downright pissed at Chase Bank. I deposited a $4k check via teller into my account. This check was from home insurance company for property damage I sustained 2 months ago to my home. The teller did not tell me that they would hold the check. I call today and the check is being held until 02/23 which is one week away which is going to mess up my direct deposit from employer because my employment check will go to what is overdrawn in my account and I will have no money for over a week, not for gas or food or any essentials because of them holding a business check, not a personal check. I have contractors repairing and depositing checks immediately this week and my account shows now a negative balance of over $1k. If I would of known I would of deposited this check into my credit union account and they don't hold checks from businesses, especially insurance checks, and credit unions are usually more secure and stringent than banks. Chase has no right to hold this type of check. They have literal control over my finances for the next week and will not release the funds any sooner. I even spoke to a supervisor and he said he can't do anything about the hold...BS....he is a supervisor. All I got was I get it...No You Don't get it...it is not your money and home that was damaged and currently in process of repair with flooding....VERY POOR PRACTICES CHASE BANK!!! I tried uploading a photo of the stub which clearly inidcates it is a insurance payment check but it won't accept my file. ALSO.....educate your tellers to inform your customers that the check will be held for one week or so, so they can go elsewhere to get their money in a timely manner!!

THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW:
THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW: I called up Chase Bank to file a partial claim on an amount of money that I'd paid for merchandise. I spoke to a lady called Daydree Ann (sp) at the chase dispute phone number on Monday Tuesday 2-6-2023. I quite clearly stated that PayPal had told me to call my banking institution and I quite clearly stated that this was a 'partial amount' of the amount of money that I had paid in full. The above mentioned representative said she'd file a claim for me. I also offered photographs of the damaged goods and she didn't want that. Three days later I called the same phone number and get Nove (sp) on the phone. According to her a claim was put in for the full amount of money which I DIDN'T ask for, she also said that Daydree Ann told me to go back to PayPal which she did not tell me to do as I told her I'd already spoken to PayPal on that first phone call. Nove asked me for a claim number to which I said I was never given one. I wasted three days of my life only to be told a bunch of lies about what I'd said and that there was nothing they could do. I mentioned to her that they wiretapped their phone calls so why didn't they go back and listen to that exact conversation and listen to what I HAD said compared to what this representative had supposedly typed out for a claim for me. I told her within a week I'll be closing my account. Absolute complete and utter incompetence.

Beware before you accept a Chase card…
Beware before you accept a Chase card holders with existing accounts balance transfer promotions. This is what I found out the hard way is if you accept their balance transfer your account terms of 30 day waiver is removed meaning you are charged interest is charged daily on every transaction. The only way to stop interest is to pay the entire balance as suggested by CS, which is what I did, Chase will get their interest one way or other. On another note if there is a charge dispute they will not have your back. These is not a worry free bank, Citibank has been fantastic when come both of these matters.

Did a wire transfer from one bank to Chase bank in the same county. They completely screwed it up and stated they don't do wire transfers which is clearly on their website. Said there were sending money back but have not seen it yet. Would never bank with Chase this has to be the most dysfunction bank I have ever dealt with.

Chase Bank
Chase Bank, Glendora, Ca. issued 4 cashier's checks in my name, each being $1,000.00 Chase Bank, has printed on the face of each check, 'valid for 7 years from date of issue.' Chase Bank would not cash checks after 6 years, printing on the check, 'stale dated.' Chase Bank has sent this customer on an endless cycle of chasing my own tail when it's their problem. Chase Bank has now been reported to the Atty. General, a number of internet agencies to post a complaint for all to see and be warned about as well as .. Chase Bank is .. by the advice of an attorney group in my area.. 'take them to small claims court' and you'll get your money back.. and make it for the full amount allowed in the court .. $25, 000. . plus court costs and fees. Chase Bank is one to stay away from and avoid at all costs as their smiles at the door do not translate well with their keeping MY money for no realistic reason other than down right FRAUD !

We have been trying to get Steven Simpson from Chase mortgage to contact us about a refinance on our home. Every time we call we get his answering machine. Day he will call back the same day, not so. We leave one number and he tries to call on cell, not good service with Verizon out here. This has been going on for a month now. If this is how Chase Bank treats a customer that has banked with them for almost 10 years. We might take our accounts and business elsewhere.

0 star for Chase
If I had the chance to give them 0 star, after several years being a loyal Chase customer, for the very first time I feel very insecure and horrible customer support, so my family and my sister's family booked a vacation to Cancun, we leave in US my family leaves in Germany, so I paid for fly tickets from Germany for 4 people I paid 4500$ and my sister and her family where been refused to board, yes this is the first time happened to us, no explanation , no reason just the Airlines manager told them you are not going to fly today but we are returning your money, I bought another fly tickets with other airline company I spent more money but finally we had an amazing vacation with a lot of stress in the beginning but was over, so I requested my money back from airline company and they where not responding so I decided to claim with Chase, I got my money and after 6 weeks Chase reverse the money, they said that Condor Airline provided a letter where clear was saying that they have the full rights to deny boarding any passenger and my sisters family did not provide documents they asked, of course my sister provided everything such as return ticket, hotel, activities , just to mention for them is not required visa to enter in Mexico, so Chase does nothing to protect their customers, their investigation is only in their favour and, I don't recommend anymore Chase Bank to anyone. I will do everything what will take to return my money, I will hire a lawyer and we will go by LAW!

Bad bank.
This is an experience from 2022. They have been on a downward spiral - they closed my bank accounts without warning with 75k + in balances and "mailed me a check" Why? - System did it. One day after I closed my credit card with them. Coincidence? Sad stuff. I got the check 1 month later. The stress I felt. I would call every day. Idk what else to do but warn others off.

More better banks out their. As you can see the whole bank review is on 1 Star ⭐️

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE
I gave it 1 star b/c I had to .....in my opinion the customer service and functioning of this bank deserve a ZERO. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE....my bad experiences with them at glance are: continued theft, not restoring Apple Pay, spending countless hours on the phone to get issues resolved that THEY created....you speak to many different agents, all tell you something different and keep transferring you, but your problem does not get solved. You go in person to a branch and if you don't have an appt. they don't care what the severity of your issue is, they won't help you. IT'S A DISGRACE.....I still have 2 main issues not solved after 10 days at it, cannot count the hours I've spent on the phone over the last few days and 2 visits to a branch. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I will be closing all of my accounts with them.

Financial loss - due to poor customer service
The customer service provided the wrong details for me to receive a wire transfer - twice!!!!!! This bank is unreliable! The customer service reps prank-transfer you to wrong departments. When you express that concern to the next department you were transferred to they answer if “you could see the person smile”… Chase - we pay extra for a high level bank. Customer service is discount

SAD when chase bank wont honor their own cashier check …
I made the mistake of letting someone buy a vehicle from me with a chase cashier check for 17,000 dollars. My bank wanted to put a 5 day hold on it even though the 2 banks are less than 10 miles apart. I took the cashier check to the chase bank that wrote it. They refused to cash their own check. I asked for a 14,200 dollar cashier check to pay off a loan on the vehicle and get the rest cash. Chase bank refused that idea because I'm not a customer of them. Now I have to wait 5 days for my bank to release enough money to pay off the loan. Next time I sell something I'll only except cash

Chase Bank doesn't have your back.
After several years with Chase Bank I'm going to close out my account and go to a different bank because Chase Bank screwed me over and let a company screw me over as well. I disputed the amount of $1400 because Bullseye Plumbing was trying to rip me off, but Chase kept disputing only half of the $1400 and every time the case would get reopened it would keep getting denied. I contacted the Corporate Office and they wouldn't do anything about it either. I was a left a voice message by Chase Bank Corporate Office on 1/30/23 stating that they were not going to help me recover my money. Wow! Great Customer Service! Customers do not put your money in Chase Bank because they do not and will not have your back and they truly don't value their customers at all. Do yourselves a favor and find a different bank and don't go to Chase Bank. You'll only have a lot of problems like I did. The customer service is disgusting to say the least. Kerry Boyer

I set up a business credit card account…
I set up a business credit card account with chase bank years ago. I was using their cards to pay numerous membership costs that re-occured monthly for years. Chase bank stopped by payments and declined all of them suddenly for a "low credit issue"(admittedly my mistake, didn't realize their card minimums are so low). But my issue is that chase shares absolutely no text message, no email, nothing when they start declining all automated transacrion. Just started declining all my payments while I was working out of town. When I called they said they corrected the issue, but very disappointing that they would not communicate, call or let you know. This could really screw people over, especially travelling. Why not give your long time customers the benefit of the doubt and give them a heads up before declining numerous transactions secretly without any heads up (for almost a week until I noticed).

When we got our confirmation they gave us the wrong seats (back row of the plane no windows) and when we spoke with then they explained that there was nothing they could do the flight was booked up. We will be canceling the credit card.

A Waste of Our Valuable Time. Ignorant, Uncaring Associates…
The associates do not know what they're doing. The associates are not coordinated. We have wasted a huge amount of time trying to transfer an account that is legally my daughter's. The first associate told us we needed specific forms. We checked to make sure someone would be there that could help us accomplish our transaction, that it could be done there st the Tarpon Springs, FL branch, that we had all forms needed. We returned weeks later with the forms. We made an appointment and asked specifically to make sure we had all forms needed. The associate we had today didn't call us into her pod even though she was closest to the door and we were obviously waiting. She kept answering her phone. She doubles as the receptionist. Our conversation kept being interrupted by outside calls. After we explained again what we needed, she said the only person who could transfer the account was on vacation. Then she said we couldn't use their bank. I'm a member but my daughter only has a credit card through Chase. She refused our service! We were misled, misinformed and extremely invalidated. What a waste of our valuable time! We couldn't check the facts or complain to the bank manager because he or she needed an appointment, we couldn't talk to her or him, I tried calling and couldn't even leave a message! The recording said all the associates were busy and then hung up. Not even a businesslike "We are sorry for your inconvenience. " I'm sorry to even consider Chase. The employees are ruining this bank!

Chase branch Ellisville MO
Potential customers should be aware of this bait and switch bank. My wife opened a new account with this corrupt bank during one of their promotional periods which would pay $300 for a new account after making a direct deposit. She was supposed to receive $300 within 14 business days of the first direct deposit. She did not receive the $300 in her account, so after more than a month she called Chase's customer service line. They were no help and directed her to a branch to get help there. We went to the Ellisville MO branch and explained the situation, new account, direct deposit, supposed to receive $300. The manager of this branch resorted at one point to simply repeating herself about some coupon my wife should've received. There was no coupon or coupon code, but that's all she could focus on. We informed her that my wife was directed to a branch to resolve the problem, but the manager dismissed that saying the customer service representatives, "always tell people to go to a branch."The branch manager was absolutely useless, demonstrated a lack of understanding related to clear, coherent communication and complaint resolution, and a shocking lack of leadership after my wife voiced her legitimate concerns. The manager got flustered and walked away, retreating to her office to let a subordinate employee deal with my wife as she closed her account. The tactics of this bank and its branch manager in Ellisville are unethical, unprofessional, and disgraceful. FIND ANOTHER BANK!

FRAUD DEPARTMENT - OUTSOURCED OVERSEAS
The Chase Fraud Department (CFD), particularly the overseas contractor, is the focus of this review. In my experience, Chase is the best of the large national banks. Generally, I recommend Chase. My experience with the CFD-Overseas was unusually bad and not characteristic of the quality that Chase provides in the U.S. Chase can and should address the issue. The fraud algorithm tagged a check deposited to a Chase checking account from a Chase checking account as potentially fraudulent. STRIKE ONE: The CFD texted the maker of the check to confirm its legitimacy. As instructed, the maker of the check texted back and confirmed the check was issued and funds should be released. Despite the express approval of the check issuer, the CFD-Overseas refused to release the funds. STRIKE 2: A branch manager contacted the CFD-Overseas and explained that no facts supported the suspicion of fraud, but the CFD-Overseas insisted that it must get further confirmation of the check's legitimacy. The CFD-Overseas telephoned the check issuer at the phone number on record and confirmed that the check was legitimate. The CFD-Overseas told the check depositor that the funds would be released in 45 minutes. Despite the CFD-Overseas representation, the funds were not released. STRIKE 3: The next day, the check depositor called the CFD-Overseas and explained the situation. CFD-Overseas stated that, upon further review, it made the decision NOT TO RELEASE the funds despite (a) its representations to the contrary and (b) confirmation of the check's legitimacy. In addition to not following its own policies and clearly making misrepresentations, it is important to note a few things about CFD-Overseas. First, the check depositor was on hold with CFD-Overseas for well over 30 minutes on several of the calls. Second, CFD-Overseas refused to transfer the call to the U.S. supervisor. Twice, the CFD-Overseas representative hung-up on the check depositor. Once, the CFD-Overseas representative said the call forwarding did not work and suggested calling back (after being on hold for over half an hour). Third, the CFD-Overseas representatives were generally very rude and clearly tasked with being as obstructionist and difficult as possible. THE CFD-DOMESTIC SAVES THE DAY. After much effort, the check depositor was able to connect with the CFD in the United States. Within two minutes of the explanation as to what happened, the funds were released. THANK YOU Lani (Loni?) and Ian. TAKEAWAYS FOR CHASE. First, get rid of the overseas subs, especially those handling fraud claims. The money you save on low-salary overseas workers far outweighs the risk of losing loyal domestic customer. Second, make sure there is a way to elevate these issues quickly from the overseas subs EVEN IF they don't want to let it happen. Third, adjust your fraud algorithm. It clearly tagged a transaction that wasn't even close to an issue. Fourth, make sure there is a way to identify an individual customer service representative either with a personal ID number OR a record of the call with an identifiable number. Fifth, MOST IMPORTANT, make sure all sections are fully aware of bank policies. Retrain those individuals who deviate from the same, and terminate those who break the rules repeatedly.

Chase Auto Loan Extortion
Chase Auto Loan is most appalling service I have ever seen. Zero customer out reach in the case of an ongoing and agreed insurance claim. They unilaterally, with zero communication reposed car and towed to auction site, despite loan payments always fully on time and active agree insurance coverage process in place. First communication was that in 5 business days time car would be auctioned unless extortionate Chase imposed fees were paid immediately. Zero consideration of Chase customer . Zero communication with Chase customer . Customer Service completely dire and has zero interest in helping Chase client

This is the second time
This is the second time. in around 7 years that I received a 1099r indicating that my entire retirement account would be charged as if I withdrew the entire amount and spent it. I was put into a retirement account and had to pay taxes, as if I cashed it out. over 40,000. this time I talked to a banker who assured me that I could transfer the retirement account to another retirement account with better interest. I asked "will I again be paying taxes on my entire amount". NOOO he said. Well today I received a 1099 for the entire amount. I called the bank and the person at the other end told me to call the IRS or my financial banker. They could do nothing. I informed this was a chase Bank Problem so again I will paying taxes for money that is sitting in a retirement account. Some private client. UPDATE. I figured out how to fix it on my turbo tax return.

Declining customer service.
Used to like having the sapphire reserve card, but I'm thinking about dropping it now. Chase resolved a dispute against a merchant in my favor; the merchant re-billed me for the same transaction, I disputed it again, and they found in favor of the merchant. Now I'm stuck with the charge. They've been unable to provide me any reason for their change of heart or why the merchant got a second chance. For what I'm paying in annual fees, this is outrageous.

If I could give them zero stars I would
If I could give them zero stars, I would. Chase treated me poorly and as a previous account holder, I was told on the phone that they had decided to part ways with me as a customer, and they would not allow me to use Chase anymore just because I hadn’t been in my account for the last couple years. I was calling so that I could get my account number so that I could actually log into my Chase account. It’s absolutely ridiculous reasoning for why they won’t let me open an account with them anymore. Chase has always been a bad experience for me. That’s why I switched banks and have never gone back. I finally was convinced by my fiancé to try Chase again and this was the result. Where I was told that I would not be able to open an account and that they will never let me open an account again. It’s quite unfair and it’s a really rude way to handle Customer Service. They are not interested in their consumers and don’t wish to help them in anyway clearly because I reached out trying log into my account with them and I was told that it would not be possible because Chase has deemed that I am not worthy of being an account holder with them so they closed my account with no notice whatsoever! Absolutely astonishing how terrible they treat their customers.

Horrible bank. stay away they don't honor the fruad protection services that the talk aboutI was recent victim of fraud and my…
I was recent victim of fraud and my bank insured me that I was protected. On January 3rd, 2023, I was victim of fraud. I received a call from chase asking me did I authorize a transaction on my account, and I said no to the automated system. I then received an email that my debit card had been added to a Samsung digital wallet at 3:36pm. I don't own a Samsung phone, so I got in my car and drove to the nearest chase bank, and I got there at 4pm. Once inside the bank the chase employee that I was speaking to about the suspicious activity told me to open my chase app on my phone and he noticed that transactions were happening minutes before and while I was in the bank and they had taken $11,800 dollars from my checking account, so he helped me shut my account down and change all my accounting information. He called fraud services in front of me and explained to them what was happening and that the person that got a hold of my debit information had a Samsung phone and he informed them that I didn't have a Samsung phone, that I had an iPhone. The fraud person asked me if I had let anyone use my debit card and I stated no. He told me that I was insured and not to worry and that I had fraud protection, and the money would be returned in 10 business days. I waited 3 days, and I called chase fraud services just to see if they found out anything, they told me not to worry and I would receive the credit for the money. I waited for 10 days, and I called fraud services Jan18th at 10am and they told me that my claim was denied because my information hadn't changed, like email, address or phone number and they can't prove that it wasn't me. I called the bank that I went to on the 3rd of January and the relationship banker called the fraud team and explained to them that the transactions had been overseas transactions because there were foreign exchange rates on my account from the same name that posted the January 4th which clearly wasn't me. The transactions were happening and posting after i received my new banking information. The banking officer told me that this was very strange, and she was asking the fraud team to issue me a credit because she could see that it wasn't me and I was standing in the bank as this was happening to my account. The fraud team told me that the case was closed and that it's not able to reopen. I reported the suspicious activity and was told that I was insured then told that they wouldn't honor their motto of the protection services. stay away from chase

I give a zero but not allowed. Bad experiences every time
I give a zero but not allowed. I have had the worst experience with chase credit card for a while now but today was just Terrible. The customer service that read off a script is not empathetic towards anyone. I lost my job and tried to see if I could get on a payment plan or any services until I find another job, but was sent to 4-5 different people. having to tell them my name and story each time is embarrassing and just annoying. The worst part is someone added my middle name but my card I use all the time doesn’t have that so they have to send me a new card and I had to talk to the fraud dept because Ann was added without my knowledge so they thought I was not who I said I was? If someone changed it why didn’t I get the new card and have always used this card. I understand double checking but ti make it out like I’m a criminal was terrible. I guess the only help is if you don’t make your monthly payments ??? Moral of my story is I Pay this off and go back to discover or capital one. Discover is so easy to work with and very helpful. They didn’t say over and over “I understand”, when they really don’t

Defenders of Thieves
Incense waterfall by Catchcreatin company charged my chase account $60 on top of the $20 that I originally authorized about ten hours after my purchase. It was unauthorized. I had correspondence with Chase’s customer support for weeks providing screenshots of the transaction and of the webpage and of repetitive descriptions of what happened. One day the case was transferred to another person higher up and he straight up yelled at me saying that the product was delivered and that I received the product and that there was no fraud. The man refused to listen, hung up and closed the case. Of course when they yell at you they don’t ask you to leave a review for their service afterwards and you don’t know who they are. I had money stolen from my account and was fully cooperative with the investigation. Then they have someone casually coming along to yell at me and throw the case into the trash. Some of their people are hired to spit on their clients and defend fraudsters and scammers.

Chase for Business Using Clients Money…
Beware of Chase Business Accounts--they are holding onto checks deposited into Business Checking for which they have withdrawn the money from the check writer's bank while they put your money on a 10 hold to "verify" the check writer. It's a way to use and get interest on how many millions of dollars of business account holder's money for 10 days. The branch manager I spoke to said Chase back office has done this to her other business accounts too. When I pointed out that I thought this was illegal I was told to read the fine print that said the banks could put checks deposited into your account for "10 day verification." Think this is the kind of abuse that bank regulatory authorities should look into.

I was asked to phone them regarding a transaction out of my account. I did and explained it was to another bank but in my name. They then proceeded to ask me about a transaction into my account some weeks previous. I explained this was from another bank but again in my name. They said they would note on my file. The next thing is my account is frozen as they had to look at this transaction in! This was 3 weeks ago and nothing except that my account was under regulatory review and 'the relevant team' will be in contact when completed without any indication of how many weeks/months/years this could be, all from me being asked to call for my safety!!!! The absolute worst bank of all. Their incompetence will destroy your company. As an example, they threw a fraud alert on an entire payroll batch, and then held the funds for 5 days behind the statement that they are "protecting our account." Chase Business Premier and Chase…
Chase Business Premier and Chase Private Client are a joke! The worst customer service reps and they outsource these and the folks they are hire are dumb AF. December 21, 2022 I made a deposit with a check of an amount that I had just made a couple of days ago and they put the amount on hold until December 31, 2022. When I called customer service I asked why it was put on hold and if they could take it off. I was put on hold for 45 minutes and called back. I was told that they couldn't tell why it was being held even though the last two deposits of the same amount weren't held for that many days. This is a CPC account and I have had the worst customer service. More importantly I don't understand why they keep holding some deposits and not others. I'm slowly moving my accounts over from another bank, but obviously, want to make sure all the checks clear on my old account so I didn't put everything over at one time. The Customer Service staff have just been dreadful, but I want an explanation of why my deposits keep being held when the amount of money I have in there is nearly 7x more than what I'm depositing. Chase Business Premier is also a joke and the reps for business or worst than the ones for Chase Private Clients. I"ve been put on hold for 45 minutes, I"ve been hung up on and told that if I don't listen they are going to hang up on me.
