Overview

Ranked #37 on the Fortune 500, Wells Fargo is a staple among American banks. It stands out for its 24/7 customer support, wide ATM coverage, and ever-expanding line of credit cards. The financial giant launched two new cards, the Active Cash and Reflect cards, in July and October of 2021, respectively. Each card offers a long, 21-month 0% intro APR period, while the Active Cash also comes with an unlimited 2% cashback reward rate.

Suitable for?

The Active Cash card is suitable for anyone who wants a simple rewards structure. It has no annual fee and unlimited 2% cashback on all purchases, making it one of the highest-earning flat-rate cashback cards on the market.

The Reflect card is great for those who want to take advantage of its unusually long 0% introductory APR period (21 months versus the more usual 12-18), either by making large purchases or initiating balance transfers. However, to enjoy the full 21 months, cardholders must make on-time minimum payments every month.

Additionally, both cards can be managed, locked, unlocked, and reported as lost or stolen via the bank’s handy mobile app (available for iOS and Android). Existing Wells Fargo account holders can link their credit card with their checking or savings accounts, unlocking access to convenient features like autopay and payment reminders.

Interest Rates and Fees

Wells Fargo’s Active Cash Card comes with a 15-month 0% intro APR period, after which cardholders are charged a regular rate of 14.99%, 19.99%, or 24.99% variable APR.

Meanwhile, the bank’s Reflect Card offers 0% intro APR for up to 21 months, including for balance transfers from another credit card. The Reflect’s regular rate is set between 12.99% to 24.99% variable APR, depending on an applicant’s creditworthiness.

Rewards & Cashback

In addition to the 0% introductory APR period and unlimited 2% flat rate cashback on all spending, the Active Cash card comes with a one-time $200 cash bonus for cardholders who spend at least $1,000 within the first 3 months.

The Reflect card’s welcome offer does not contain a cash bonus, but it offers the same long 0% intro APR period for purchases and balance transfers made within the first 120 days. This can be useful for those looking to consolidate and pay off their credit card debt as quickly as possible. Beyond that, however, the Reflect card carries no other rewards or perks.

The Application Process

Applying for a Wells Fargo credit card is straightforward and can be done online. If you’re an existing Wells Fargo customer, you can log into your account to autofill most required information. New customers will need to provide their legal name, Social Security number, date of birth, and country of citizenship. For security purposes, applicants must also include their mother’s maiden name.

Next, clients must enter their address, email address, and phone number. You’ll also need to provide financial information such as your current housing situation, monthly mortgage amount, and employment status. Afterward, you’ll be asked if you need to add authorized users. If so, you’re prompted to enter the necessary information. Finally, you’ll be directed to read and accept a series of disclosures.

While most approval and denial decisions can be made within minutes, applications selected for manual review may take 7-10 business days to process.

    Good Job Jasmine

At first, my call did not go well. I gave all my information, and then was transferred to another employee. to which, I had to give my information again. This employee's name is Jasmine. She's in the Philippines, but her English is top-notch. Her questions were concise and to the point. This woman would be an asset to any company. As you can see this is more of a review on the customer representative that helped me. Well done Jasmine.

    Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, can't get a straight answer even from the bank manager. Deposited some money on 09/22/2022 and it has yet to actually be processed and all they can say is the banks are having a hard time transferring the funds. The 1800 number on the back is of no help and from them I was told the money would be available 10/05/2022 because they put an extended hold on the money. 9 business days or 13 days for a deposit to actually be processed is absolutely ridiculous once these funds come in I will be closing my account there is no point doing business with this bank.

    EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have never been a fan of Wells Fargo ever since I had an account years ago and they called and did a "bait and switch" telling me my account was in trouble which was a TOTAL LIE. I was referred to them today by my bank in order to exchange some pounds. I walked in and spoke to a gentleman who then looked over at his colleague. He asked her if they processed any transactions from people that did not have an account. She rudely stated no. He stated that 1st Bank referred me and Wells Fargo defines how they process these transactions. She "snickered" and stated, "we really don't care. I looked at her and stated that was a rude, extremely poor customer service response. She kept looking down and said she was sorry. I said excuse me, and she finally looked up and I said, " no you aren't, and you are extremely rude." Her boss who was very kind walked out of her office and asked if she could help me. I said, "well I guess not because a bank you do business with and define processes referred me, but you can't help me. She said again with her head down "I am sorry". I said no you aren't and if you worked for me, you would be done working with customers. I walked out and called her boss and spoke to her one on one stating I ran IT Production Service around the world, and she should be heavily reprimanded. The manager was very kind and answered my questions. This bank is horrible!

    Absolutely awful customer service

Absolutely awful customer service. Told I could move an account on-line, for a deceased father's son. Did everything online. Then told "call in 2 days." Called and on hold 35 minutes. Asked multitude of questions, then told, "have him come in, expect same 30-60 min. wait time." I would go elsewhere.

An online wire transfer. A nightmare

I did a wire transfer online via the WF app. During the process I have been given codes to verify my ID. At the end I got a text confirming the wire and an email saying it was initiated. That at 12.04 pm well before the 2pm deadline. Later I checked online my account and noticed that the wire was not listed. I call 3 times the Customer Service and I was transferred to the Fraud Department which told me my ID had to be verified again...by phone in the next two business days. Pathetic... But they said I could go to a local branch and get my ID verified. I did that and a baker called in front of my to confirm my ID. I was listening and I was told that the wire was OK. At 9 pm I got another email saying it was delayed. So I called again and was told it will be done Monday. I think WF should review the way it dealswith the Customer. Clearly their online system is not working and the Customer Service is only a joke. I have been client since 2014. Time to move to another bank. G Cadringher

    Worst credit card ever

Worst credit card ever! Can only redeem rewards in increments of 25! Husband used in emergency for a 7.96 charge and tried to pay with my 11$ rewards balance. Customer agent was nasty and acted like he hated his job and I had to call to pay. Won't use their app online because they want you to enter too much personal info including full ss number. Total bull!

I have banked with them for a very long time. My credit is ok..all bill paid on time. Its not stellar but adequate. I applied for a simple 3000 loan and was turned down. Listen after 20 years of using them regardless off reasoning I've determined there is zero purpose to know this bank anymore. Its just bad strategy at this point. I will be changing.

    TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Long recording and very difficult/confusing options - almost impossible to get a live person. Placed on hold for long periods of time. After all that, many difficult to understand and are not able to help or give direction to get help. The worst credit card customer service anywhere. Discover is much better and so is Chase.

    Horrible bank employees

Horrible bank employees. I mad a large deposit from another bank by check. I asked the teller if there would be a hold it and they stated no, it would just post to my account overnight. The receipt actually stated that as well. A few hours after I made the deposit I got a notification that had placed a 7 business hold on that deposit. They lied to my face and then refused to correct their mistake.

Hemarohoid of the Banking Industry! Yee Haw!

They've appear to have lost 5K that I transferred from Chase. I live in Georgia and they printed my checks with Wells Fargo Bank, NA TEXAS and they will not refund the $18.00 for check printing or reprint them. Online banking is very bad. You can either opt for paperless statements or get them in the mail but if you get them in the mail you cannot see them online. Strange corporate culture. Branches are "Stores" and CS Reps are "Bankers" but they have no authority. Banker first told me she had no record of my checking account being linked with my former account at Chase. Then she said the transfer was not complete, may take five days, and would not tell me if there would be a hold on the funds. Do not bank here. Chase is far better for technology and service. Wells Fargo is very covered wagon, stuffy, behind the times and as well they have been accused of FRAUD, bad mortgages and predatory lending. They are closing branches right and left. Run, do not walk, to another bank! Stagecoach indeed. They are starving the horses and they are not moving! Long hold times when you call in and verification of your account is in the stone age. Chase does it by voice recognition. The horses don't recognize voices.

Opened a brand new checking account at Wells Fargo on Monday and deposited $500 from an external bank account. As of Friday that is 4 business days later the account shows $0 balance but $500 was taken out of the external bank account. The customer service is really lacking it would appear the bank employees really don't care about depositors and the needs of those depositors. Calling customer service the person said I must enter a branch to update my phone # with an ID but the in bank employee says I need to call customer service to verify and update my phone #.

Been with Wells Fargo for 20+ yea

Been with Wells Fargo for 20+ years. Move on people! They lie, tell you not to worry and that you will get your money back when scammed. Filed a complaint because after I called immediately after I thought something wasn’t right, 2 weeks later- no complaint was filed!?!? I had a claim number but they couldn’t find it! I had to file another complaint. End story- DENIED! I’m out $400.00 and there is nothing they can do about it because it was already processed. Well, if the lady I called at Wells Fargo would have known what she was doing, my scam claim would have been processed IMMEDIATELY. Not their problem now though; mine! What kind of scam/fraud department is that? I elevated my denial and that was again denied. Nothing I can do I guess. I asked for a copy of the investigation materials they used and that was 2 weeks ago. I still don’t have them the proof and no one ever contacted me about the entire Facebook Messenger log that I archived of happened. They will blame Zelle, but they are the ones who are promoted Zelle and when you get scammed/screwed, they wash their hands of you! #Wellsfargosucks

My last experience with Wells Fargo

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo since they were Wachovia. This month they closed my account because someone had Zelled me some money and then called their bank and said it was fraudulent. Now for them to get my Zelle information they have to go through another person and tell them how much they need to send. I make sure the money is in my account and then cash app it to my sister who buys bit coins. Now before I did the first one I checked to make sure it was legal and it was. Now they had already restricted my account and when I would call about it, explain that and get the restrictions removed. They would tell me about the Zelle frauds going on and they just didn't want that to be happening. The second time they restricted it I had to go through all the stuff I went to the first time plus go to a branch and show a picture ID. Well the day I went no banker was there because she had had an accident on the way to work. There was a lady in an office and asked if she could help me. I told her that I came to show my license and why. She called the fraud department and I don't know if they didn't believe her or what, but then they asked to speak to me and said they would reinstate my online access. Well they didn't and then told me it was going to be 10 days before I could use it. Well during those supposedly 10 days they closed both my checking accounts. This was on the 8/15 and they sent me an email telling me it was going to be closed on 8/30 but Nothing could come in and nothing could go out. I said well that sounds like it was already closed. All my bills were automatically paid out of that account so I had to hurry and change all them to my Credit Union. Well a couple payments came in but were returned. They didn't tell me but the companies that they were auto paying sent me an email about it. Now this person put in a fraud charge on me and they just gave her her $70 back and emailed me to adjust my records. Now I would think that they would get my side of the transaction but that's all I have heard from them. I gave feedback on their website and got a letter in the mail thanking me for my feedback and someone would check it out. What I wonder is what did they do to check it to start with. If they could keep me from accessing my account over the phone the other times they restricted it. No call, no email, no snail mail or anything. They just sent her money back. If they had checked with me they would know that the steps she had to go through to send it to me, she would have sent it to me. I have the Zelle receipt where Wells Fargo sends to let me know someone Zelled me some money and that I cash apped it to my sister. I guess they don't want the customer's side. They just take somebody else word for it. Anyway they told me when I called about them closing my account and what was I supposed to do about my bills. They said get the money from some other source because when it was officially closed, they would send me a cashier check and I would receive it within 7 to 10 days. Well I guess the countdown starts today and I will never ever refer anybody to Wells Fargo again. And I have referred several people because I thought it was the best bank around. Not anymore. Plus just about every time I called the representative was rude and it was like they were supposed to be rude. OK that's my opinion and anywhere I can write a review I will. This is my 4th one.

Ridiculous Customer Service. I've been with Wells Fargo for over 20 years. Recently there was fraudulent activity on my Rewards Card, so WFB issues a new card, which I activated 11 days ago. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. As a first time homebuyer, I received a pre-approval from WF and was under contract for a new home. The loan officer (A.) proceeded to push my application forward into the next stage without explaining or listening to my situation so that by the time it got to underwriting, they were unwilling to work with me despite locking in a lower interest rate than was on the pre-approval letter! Home purchase price was known throughout the entire process. A. then pushed an appraisal fee on me stating it is refundable until the appraisal is done. I started receiving notices from a third party saying they are trying to complete an appraisal but could not get in contact with me. When I did not give permission for the appraisal as it was still 90 days out from closing, I received a back-dated appraisal receipt and still no news of my conditional approval. When I called to discuss variables underwriting was questioning, I was dismissed and the loan officers stated they would 'confirm details with underwriting'. Additionally, the loan officers were very condescending over my credit profile (I have a credit score > 750 and am college educated with a doctorate degree, so I know what is on my credit report). Over 1 month later, A. called to say they are denying me, so now I am left with $500+ stolen from Wells Fargo. UNETHICAL business practices and UNEMPATHETIC, robotic loan officers that are clearly just trying to meet their monthly quotas. I will be cutting ties with Wells Fargo permanently and strongly discouraging friends & colleagues from using their services.

    ZERO STARS

ZERO STARS. Wells fargo protects only wells fargo. Dreadful customer service My Father had account with this bank for years. Upon his death the executor of his will needed a notary. Executor lives 300 miles away. He phoned and made an appointment to have car title notarized for sale. Representative aware of request/ needs. After a day of travel he was told if he didn't have an account at this branch they could not service his request. Made him wait an hour and half while they called who knows who. When my Dad was to ill to leave home I tried to DEPOSIT cash to his account and was denied stating he had to physically be present. At a branch that serves mostly senior citizens you would think they would have provisions that actually service patrons. STAY FAR AWAY from this institution.

WF customer since they were Wachovia

I have been a WF customer since 2008 and a Wachovia customer before they changed. This past 2 weeks I have had nothing but trouble about some authorized Zellle transactions. I had to call the Fraud department several times and by checking account was restricted. The first time was for 5 days until I could go to a branch and show picture ID. That was done. Was told online access available. For the next three transactions I had to call for online access athen on the 15th they closed my checking and savings accounts and sent me an email on the 16th that they had closed them. I do all my banking online with auto pay but was told NOTHING IN AND NOTHING OUT. Can't get my money from my accounts until they technically close them on the 30th and then the balances will be sent by certified 7 to 10 days so my money is sitting in WF and I had to take my quick cash (loan) at my Credit Union and transfer it to my checking account there. It took me 3 days to get all that taken care and absolutely no help from WF to see what had gone through. I had to get that info from the automated machine. I always thought that WF was the best bank in the world, even when they were caught making fake accounts with peoples information. Now I feel like everybody I know that says WF is a 💩y bank. UPDATE-9/7-2022 Well they sent me my savings account check today. They also sent me a letter saying they need more time to check my checking account that they thought would be done by 9/1/2022. And they sent me a letter saying that they closed my WF Fast Cash Visa and any rewards I had would be forfeited and that was over $100. I guess they will think of something else to do to me tomorrow. I responded to a tweet from from a woman that was talking about them closing all her accounts. It was actually a video and she had the exact same letter that I got and she called the bank and the representative she talked to sounded just like the one I talked. She was told that some other department randomly checks accounts and tells them to close them and they have to do it. She asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that the supervisor would tell her the same thing that she had told her. Then the video ended. I tweeted my experience with WF and immediately got an email from WF to send them my information and they would check into it and a little later I got another one from another rep to send my name and telephone number so they could call me. I did and haven't gotten a call yet. Maybe because I told them that if they were going to tell me the same thing I had been told before, they didn't need to bother. I did ask what is the process they use to determine that someone sending me a Zelle transaction would be a Fraud on my side and deducting the money out of my account. Plus it was after they had told me "NOTHING IN & NOTHING OUT! So this is the end of my story of my 💩💩💩y WF story.

    Avoid Wells Fargo

I tried to secure a Well Fargo mortgage loan. It was one of the worst experiences, I have encountered. I have secured home loans previously several times without issues from other companies. Wells Fargo gives you the run around by asking for the same information over and over. I believe they use this tactic to delay the loan process. Their employees are non-responsive and unreliable. I paid approximately $2500 to lock in a loan rate but left Wells Fargo to work with a more reliable and responsive company which approved my home loan in short order. I was unable to to get any of my money refunded to me from Wells Fargo. Buyer beware, avoid them at all costs.

Making an appointment to go to the bank is ridiculous. We were having an emergency and needed a deceased person on an account removed. Worst online experience ever

Worst online experience ever. My questions were not answered and I was hung up on two times. After asking a simple question regarding an online issue in opening an account online (did it online since the staff at the local branch would not help and required an appointment 2 weeks out), the call center staff could not answer and were not willing to work to get me to the correct person to assist. After several attempts in asking the same thing in different ways, they hung up on me two times. I respectfully told them of my frustration with Wells Fargo and not them yet they must have a policy to hang up if they cannot solve a problem. Wells Fargo used to be a good, albeit not great, bank to work. Go local if you can.

    never make an online appointment

never make an online appointment for the same day because apparently they only look at their appointment schedule at 9am and never afterwards so if you make a same day appointment at 9:45 like I did for an afternoon slot then you won't be called in. Went in, waited for ten mins for someone to call me for my 2pm appointment and then got told that since they only check what appointments they have at 9am I was not put on the schedule. I shocked me because how are you going to tell me that you don't check for new appointments every hour as your website appointment slots are live and then tell me there's no bankers available for another hour. And mind you when I originally walked in I only saw one banker and seven bankers desk empty (WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE BANKERS) until this rude lady came and told me about the 9am thing. I'm so frustrated and shocked. Literally unbelievable

Bad customer service and discrimination at Cypress location

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo now for more than 10 years. The location here in Cypress are racist. 3 times I have come here while trying to see a banker and they over looked me while they attended to other customers that came after me. On each occasion, I let the person know I was there first but she always gave me one excuse or another. Today when I told this person I will call and complain, she told me she was the branch manager, basically letting me know my complain will not go anywhere. Not to even mention the fact that I have to go to another company for personal loans or even my house mortgage when I am banking with them. This location in Cypress is really terrible and I hope the staff bankers can be changed.

Wells Fargo Gets Worse and Worse

I had to make an appointment a week in advance to open an additional corporate account and to get a deposit only ATM card. I arrived to find out the bank wanted additional corporate documents which they would not accept same day. The person I had the appointment with told me it was her first day back after a 30-day vacation so she could not have let me know about the issue previously and I would need to make another appointment. We have a 35 year relationship with Wells Fargo with multiple personal and corporate accounts. This is not the first time they could not locate the corporate documents which we have provided at least 3 times previously. When you need to do anything other than deposit or withdraw money they are incompetent. We fortunately have, and we advise YOU to ALWAYS maintain more than one banking relationship so you need not put up indefinitely with stupidity. And of course we can't recommend Wells as one of those banks.

Can't even verify Gmail accounts for biz accounts, stay away

Horrible application process just to open a business checking account with these pieces of garbage. It's bad enough that you have to fill out several PDFs to submit back to their horribly antiquated system. Then they come up with all kinds of excuses not to approve you for their crappy business checking accounts, from "failing" verification to emails you give them not "eligible" to receive texts. And the customer service reps always sound like deer in headlights and could care less about the customer. Avoid at all costs. Maybe applying at a branch would be a better experience, but this has been my second time trying to get a business checking account with Wells Fargo. Bank of America and Truist had WAY easier online application processes and never gave me this much of a hassle just to apply.

BEWARE Stay away from Wells Fargo home…

BEWARE Stay away from Wells Fargo home mortgage. Everyone knows that there’s no guarantees when it comes to getting a mortgage. They were uncontrollable’s in the process. What is controllable is communication. Wells Fargo home mortgage is the worst. Perhaps they over work their employees. Maybe they just don’t care. In any case I had a high-level supervisor admit that because of miscommunication from her team I was directly impacted and there was no excuse. My advice to anybody that cares is choose another lender. For the past few years Wells Fargo has had a terrible reputation when it comes to Customer Service. There’s reasons why. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Follow your instincts and make a wise choice because a great deal is riding on choosing the correct mortgage lender. Good luck.

I was Wells Fargo customer for 19 years. I had 2 mortgages through this bank. While going through divorce I wanted to remove my husband from the account since I was the primary on it. They said I couldn't until he came in and agreed to be removed. They also couldn't fix my status to make any changes as in their system I was still alien not a citizen. Funny that they didn't update that status when I took $600,000 mortgage but needed that to make simple changes so my husband couldn't run up debt during the divorce. I was forced to close my longest account and loose credit history because Wells Fargo couldn't get their things together. This is the worst bank with the worst customer service!!!

Paid off loans early (1.4 million was total amount) and even paid a prepayment penalty. One of the reasons was just so I did not have to deal with WF anymore (too many outpoints to even get into in this review). 4 months later they still had not released the lien on 2 of the loans. Countless phone calls, waiting on hold, told it would be handled and they finally released one lien. Called back 3 weeks later because they still held one lien. I was transferred to 3 different people because "we don't handle that." One of the numbers they gave me was to a sex line which I feel was done on purpose because I had lost my cool at that point. Most incompetent group of "that is not my job" people I have ever dealt with. No concept of customer service. Time to find a new bank!

I used to absolutely love banking with Wells Fargo. Not anymore. Why does my debit transactions take so long to "complete". I shouldn't have pending transactions, and for CASH DEPOSITS especially. But WF is quick to hold on to these transactions and then I have overdraft charges because a debit will clear before the deposit made on the same day or even the day before. I will be looking for another bank in the very near future unfortunately.

7 years ago I opened a secured card account with Wells Fargo in order to improve my credit. This was the first place I looked to and now it has done nothing except negatively impact my credit. 7 years later. I got the secured card with $300 and 5 years later after maintaining excellent on time payments and kept my balance at or below 30% of my available $300 credit, I was approved for one of their credit cards. I maintained my excellent on time payments. My credit score had improved dramatically as I was working on it in various ways. I have been extremely conscious of all of my credit-making decisions because ultimately my credit score improving was my goal. I just received a letter that said Well Fargo closed my credit card account and could not reveal all of the decisions in the process. Some of the things that they put were low payments to balance, not true. I have a zero balance and have always made my payments on or before the due date. Higher limit than available again, Not true. I am at zero balance and have never exceeded my limit. Too many open credit accounts again, Not true and low credit score. Not true. My credit has dramatically improved. However, with Wells Fargo's decision to drop a great customer, they have in turn negatively impacted my credit, which is counterproductive for the entire reason I got involved with this company. I have a lot of feelings about this because for 7 years I have worked on my credit and maintained a positive side of all of my accounts. Now for absolutely no reason they are deciding to be the only negative impact I have on my credit report when they are the ones that I initially trusted to start my credit repair process. Do not trust them.

I got an auto loan with Wells Fargo

I got an auto loan with Wells Fargo on Easley SC. For a 2018 Nissan Rogue. I purchased the car last January 2021. My cousin cosigned for me. She passed away in March 2022. I sent a cashier check for the full payoff. Then suddenly come may after my cousin had passed away. They started sending out past due letters to her address and calling me 5 times a day trying to say I was behind on payments. Even though my bank statement showed they got the money. I got the paperwork in saying paid in full. her name removed from the loan.. They started saying they never received the money. Even though I faxed them proof. Then night before last they had their recovery company sneak out and steal my car in the middle of the night. I have being on phone with them numerous departments trying to locate it do at least I can get my personal stuff and the car and I have being given the run around and told to call back. Desired outcome: Car back plus a full refund Update by Christine ky Jul 01, 2022 7:30 pm EDT Well here I go again. Wells Fargo an employee name Corina, sweet girl was trying to work with me to get my car back. I told her my attorney and I would agree to try to stop payment on that cashiers check and sent out another one if my car was returned today or by Tuesday. She tried to help me do that but the redemption dept said no! They want more money now. I called them and the girl was so rude kept telling me she wanted over 18000 now before they would give back the car because they didn't receive the money and I go my bank statement shows you did. She felt out refused to work with me to give back my car even though I had proof it was paid off and everything. So now they are going to be taking my car to the auction to auction it off for whatever they can get out of it. I told her she would be hearing from my attorney for a major lawsuit. They don't care, they have being caught setting up false bank account to steal peoples money plus numerous other law suits against them. Its all over the internet on how many times they are being sued and here comes them another one.

    Branch customer service.

I have called my branch 2 times and left a voice message to set up an appt to discuss questions about my credit card accts and safe deposit box acct. Never received a return call? I called a third time and left a message, because no one ever answers the phone, that I would be stopping by around a 1 hour window to discuss my accts. I get to the bank and told them everything I have done. They told me the branch manager you called is on the vacation and that no one else could help me because they are busy. There were no customers in the bank for the entire 25 minutes I was there. Why does the branch manager not have her calls transferred to a different number when she is gone a week? I have had checking acct issues and credit card issues over the last 2-3 years and finally closed those accounts due to unresolved issues. Wells Fargo has conducted fraudulent business practices over the last several years when they opened up accounts in customer's names without their knowledge, they have had mortgage issues that have cost people their homes, and millions in fines from the banking regulatory systems. Enough is enough, no trust in Wells Fargo, and my next appt, if I can an get one, will be to close all my remaining accts with them. I got the sense the employees I talked to today didn't even care and it seems they expect customers to see them at a time they demand!

Now We found out he was never added as a signer and the former director not removed from account as an executive. Now The lead banker stated we never went to get him ( new Director) added. We said, no that’s why we went to see her was to get both items done. She called and said the confusion was ours and not hers and I said , fine we are just going to start over from here and she said fine just know it is our error and not hers in a rude tone. I was trying to move on from the issue but to her the Customer is always wrong.!!!!! Sadly these type of problems have gone on for years. I am leaving for Ireland tomorrow and set an appointment at the Wells Fargo in Suwanee to exchange foreign currency. I have attempted since Tuesday to reach someone at that branch to confirm that an appointment was necessary but made one anyway just in case for 930 a m. Upon arriving I was greeted and informed they needed 2 day lead time to get the currency which is now not an option with my trip in less than 24 hrs. I looked on line this is a bank that should have. I was on hold for almost 2 hrs yesterday trying to confirm and make sure I had correct info. I have had accounts with this location for over 25 years since I moved to Suwanee. This was a waste I am still packing for my trip and a huge inconvenience. Oh and btw I was told by the banker that they were just 2 busy yesterday after the holiday to ans phone. Same result at the 800 customer service #. With gas prices out of sight I need to chase around for decent service. But think it’s time to look at other banks. Scammy bank that is hard to contact for support.

On multiple occassions Wells Fargo has practically given me incorrect information in an attempt to overdraft me. The first time it happened years ago, i ended up losing $140. While they did refund me, they converted my savings to checking without permission, so I no longer have overdraft protection. There are very few ways to contact for help. Weirdly the customer support page just takes you to and FAQ instead. You can ONLY contact via phone, and whether you even get someone in a decent time is very unlikely. Recently had to deal with them telling me a transaction was already paid for, and discovering it WASN'T and found an attempted charge for it this morning, along with an overdraft fee because they gave me faulty info. This will lead to another overdraft fee a few days down the line because suddenly the money I had set aside for a pay-in-four is now GONE. I'm already struggling with money due to family emergencies and sick days and I don't need this on TOP of it.

Wells Fargo customer service is… TERRIBLE

Wells Fargo customer service is TERRIBLE. They talk to you however they want to. The do not try to problem solve & will not go to any extended length to try and help you. My daughter was having surgery and I needed my check released to pay for the surgery. It was suppose to have been released once it posted but it wasn’t. I was told 4 different reasons why it was on hold, and then after having to call 5 times because the customer service reps were just rude and ridiculous, I finally got a rep that states I had to call a whole different department. He stated he would transfer me, but I was never transferred. I was left on mute for 30 mins until I finally disconnected the call. Thank god I got the number of the department I was instructed to call before the rep “transferred” me. I ended up having to hang up and call the other dept. myself and am still on hold currently. I’ve been trying to resolve this issue for almost 3 hours now. I am closing my account and will NEVER bank with Wells Fargo again. This bank is horrible. Everything about it is horrible, from opening the account, to adding a child to your account, to depositing a check. Every step of the way is just madness, confusion, rudeness, with no resolution even attempted. If you don’t have millions of dollars, they treat you like you are beneath them.

Wells Fargo 3390 Pilot Knob Rd Eagan…

Wells Fargo 3390 Pilot Knob Rd Eagan Minnesota is horrible. June 22nd went in to get a cash advance for $550 off my Capital One debit card and they tell me the teller made an error. Even though they WF withdrew the funds from my Capital one credit card. They indicated the transaction would be cancelled. It went through on June 3rd after 6 pm on my account and I never received the funds. I waited because the transaction was pending. Capital One indicated for me to go to the branch to get refunded. The branch manager senior acted like the transaction was my fault. Incompetent border line fraud if I was not a minority they would have refunded the transaction they screwed up. Capital One indicated if I file a dispute I have to wait up to 90 days for money I have worked for and earned doesn't make sense. I couldn't get a receipt for the transaction they screwed up. Will be contacting the Attorney General and filing a formal complaint on Monday. STAY AWAY Incompetent Personnel.

Policy changes suck. If im buying a $5 money order I should be able to get it in the drive thru if i choose. They didn't seem to have a problem with it during Covid. Looks like I'll be going to Walmart for the same crappy service and paying much less from now on.

No Email or Chat Support?? in 2022??

Wells Fargo is crazy to make me in 2022 wait on hold for 15-30mins and not offer live chat nor email support. Why can't I just submit a ticket or email and get support easier?? I'm about ready to move all my accounts to another bank. I'm so tired of this. Last thing I need to service fees charged that should not be and then have to call to get them removed.

    Worst customer service EVER….

I have been with Wells Fargo for many years and the customer service is HORRIBLE. I put in several complaints and they all are completely disregarded, they do not really follow up on them and if they do it sounds like an automatic system response. I need to find another bank that actually provides customer care and empathy, not chastise their customers while providing no assistance. Shame on you top executives for not properly training your employees on how to accurately help your customers with kindness and compassion during these times… A lot of them seem tired or angry, they transfer you to any department to avoid assisting you. Shame on you Wells Fargo for treating loyal customers this way. Even the escalation dept has a attitude, just throw the whole bank away.

    No bathroom for clients

I went to the brunch #0004782 12 in Castle Rock, CO Today 05/31/22 I could use the drive thru to get what I needed, but I was in need to use the bathroom and the two women there said they don’t have a bathroom when I asked for it. I thought it was weird. How come? I question and they said it was not available to public. So first they lied! I said that I’m a client. Still not available. The woman that said she was the manager insisted not in letting me use the bathroom. On top of the situation there was not understanding or kindness and even apologies for the situation. That made me very unhappy and I’m still so upset! They told me to go to some place close the bank to use the bathroom on a rainy day. Can you imagine me holding it, running to the car to drive across the street to use a restaurant’s bathroom? Does that make sense? Does that seams normal to you? I still can’t believe this absurd! This is a total disrespect against a client and a human rights! Don’t You need to provide a bathroom for your clients if you want to have them using your services? That is the worst brunch in Castle Rock. I always feel uneasy going there. It has a bad vibe. I came back to open an account with Wells Fargo Bank a few years ago and that was after I closed my account years ago. It was stupid of me! There is no need for such thing! Who needs Wells Fargo Bank when there are other with same or better deals? Definitely I had enough dealing with people in this Bank. I’m looking forward to close my accounts as soon as I’m ready. You probably have enough clients and are probably so sure of it. So who cares if you loose 1 to several clients, right? I would never recommend Wells Fargo to anyone. Nobody deserves such humiliation!

She asked me to make appointment and come back again. I asked to speak the branch manager. I finally were help by the manager. I can not believe that how bade Wells Fargo had become.

    Wells Fargo has no accountability

Wells Fargo has no accountability, even when they mess up and do something illegal they will not rectify. I only had cards with them, but it isn't worth it having to deal with their incompetence. WF pulled my credit after I undoubtedly said to not go forward with the application. They have the recording, I have the recording, of me telling their agent to NOT go forward, yet they still haven't fixed it with the credit bureau. I was in the middle of purchasing a home and their screw up really messed it up and I almost didn't close in time because underwriting said I lied in the application. I was, after much back and forth, able to purchase the home but to this day WF still hasn't resolved the issue and I can't contest it because it isn't an identity theft situation so it has to be handled with the bank rather than the Experian. Just don't use WF, they may have a good card, but other banks have the same and the sign up bonus isn't worth the trouble of having to deal with them.

Went online looking for balance transfer cards- Wells Fargo=MISTAKE

Online looking for a financial institution to use for a balance transfer. My other half spends well whether she has it or not. Don't have available credit? No problem she has me to get it for her. So she was looking for a balance transfer deal to payoff the previous one on which she came up short. Plus needed more credit to make repairs in an overpriced house that should have never been bought. With that being said I find what appears to be a great deal from Wells Fargo(WF). I did business with this "financial dog & pony show" once back in 2004. It was for a bridge loan on a house purchase. Per usual the woman working for WF "lied, lied, & denied." At the end of the day I pulled money out of one of my bank accounts and paid off the bridge loan and the woman went back to being a teller. So I see this offer for 0% interest on upwards of 21 months on a balance transfer. With my 834 FICO score I figured I was a lock for the lowest interest rate post transfer at 12.99%. Filled out application and got immediate approval for $16k or so. Had to wait about 7 business days for payoff of other financer's monies. When we received our cards I see that I am not getting 12.99% but 16.99% interest rate post transfer time. I contact them immediately as I am looking at the paperwork they sent indicating my FICO score was 834 (of 850). I was livid but per usual even when I got further up the corporate finance pole they were not adjusting the interest rate. I should have known better as one thing WF excels at is the old fashioned "bait & switch" moves. My lady will have the cards (I'd just as soon shred my card) as I WILL NEVER do business with Wells Fargo again. As long as she pays on time and more than a minimal amount monthly there shouldn't be any problems. I plan to keep a close eye on things as WF can not be trusted. They are the worst bank/credit union I have EVER done business with as they are less than truthful. Should you contemplate using them for a balance transfer unless your FICO score is 850 of 850 you aren't getting the lowest interest rate. What bothered me even more was the fact that I had a 834 of 850 credit score not only did I NOT GET THEIR LOWEST, ADVERTISED RATE but got one 4% higher!! Do yourself a favor if you see an offer that seems good from Wells Fargo (WF) IGNORE IT!! They will find a way to change "not ONLY the RULES, but the WHOLE GAME!" They are the worst.

    Today

Last month, I was scammed through my social media and reported it back to wells fargo. Because most of my transaction was through zelle in the wells fargo app, i was initially declined to get a refund. I petitioned through cfpb to help me have wells fargo refund my money through ETF Regulation E. Whilst the investigation was going on, I suddenly lost access to my bank and cant log in either through the mobile app or wellsfargo.com so I called their customer service. NICK was his name and he was talking as if he was being chased and I wasnt able to catch up with him. He bluntly just asked me a question that I didnt understand nor have given any background as to why Im being asked. After responding to his hurried questions, he finally told me that someone reported me and that I was doing fraud. I told him my story, the situation that Im in and the undergoing investigation, but he ignored it. He just told me that because I wasnt able to answer his questions, he had to go through my case and do something.. cant quite understand what he was saying because he spoke really fast. After a 3 minute hold, he was like "I enabled your account" and that was very unusual for me because he had a different conclusion earlier about why my account was disabled nor was his tone that aggravated me. Very unprofessional....

Wells Fargo- should be called “We’ll Far Go Helping You” Tagline- You can “Bank” on that!

The customer service for this company is ridiculously horrible. It’s quite disappointing to have a prestigious company with history to have such a bad rapport with their customers. And to not really care about the service their employees give. I had a 3rd party credit line and it had 0% interest for a certain amount of time. I wanted to pay it off before the interest accrued. The company I used to refi my home mortgage sent them a check to pay it off. It arrived late by a week. They did not honor it and added up the accrued interest. It was literally over $2k of interest. I had the money to pay the entire balance off minus that accrued interest. I reached out to the customer service department to see if they could waive it. They passed me along from one person to the next. Until I was told someone with higher clearance could get back to me. Received a letter in the mail for thanking me for sharing my concerns with them and that someone would reach out within 10 business days and if I need their help to contact them. Seemed a little redundant to call to have them help me, to only have me receive a letter from them to call them again if I need help. If you like to run on a wheel like a hamster, then, Wells Fargo is for you. Round and around and around. End of story- I am literally stuck paying interest payments for a place I am no longer interested in.

I am a long term customer

I am a long term customer. CANNOT EFFICIENTLY RESOLVE PROBLEMS NOW. LIMITED HOURS FOR TELEPHONE SERVICE AND NO OTHER ACCESS TO ADDRESS BASIC PROBLEMS. 1. WF local branches used to have excellent authority to efficiently resolve all concerns. That saved me time. That service resource has been lost and with it, the value of WF is diminished. 2. WF used to allow email and messaging on its online banking platform. That is also gone, so another tool to access customer service is gone. 3. WF now charges for everything. If someone else does a stop payment, WF will charge you even though its not your fault. If that happens to you, PRESS them. Demand that it be fixed. They will falsely claim a robot will decide whether to give you a full or partial refund. PRESS HARDER. WF makes lots of money collecting interest on our money. Don't let them overcharge you with ridiculous fees. PRESS HARDER. 4. WF no longer allows searchable account history!! So if you have a banking history of 6 years, which would be needed for contract disputes... You can't even see it!!! THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. Data storage is cheap. I am concerned that WF does not have longer histories so people can't see what WF did in the past. Its SKETCHY!! 5. I like Zelle integration with WF. I like Billpay and other electronic banking features.

DISGUSTING HOW WELLS FARGO TREATS U.S VETERANS…

DISGUSTING HOW WELLS FARGO TREATS U.S VETERANS I served honorably in the USAF. I live overseas in the UK. For no reason that was ever given to me I had 60 days to reduce my balance to $0 and close my checking account with Wells Fargo. They said since I couldn’t provide a U.S address then I would have to close the account. This account was to help me receive my social security checks. I asked for an extension to the 60 days since I would be returning later this year to the states, but was denied. Once again, no reason was given. Thank God, for Navy Federal Credit Union who appreciates its Veterans where I was able to get a joint checking account. Wells Fargo will keep open the accounts for active duty U.S military who are overseas and rightfully so. My point is I served honorably, why are there exceptions for active duty, but not us veterans? Furthermore, they can keep accounts open, so why am I and all of us vets being penalized, because we choose to live overseas? Wells Fargo also has the nerve to charge a $10 service fee if you are beneath a certain amount of money in your checking account. I knew of this and that is why I kept my balance well over that threshold. Remember, I had 60 days to get my checking account to $0. Of course, I will be under the threshold, because I’m trying to get it down to $0. I complained and they gave me a credit of $2.50. REALLY? $2.50 is the tip you leave on a $10 meal in a restaurant. It gets better… I added Navy Federal to my Wells Fargo account so I could transfer my balance in my checking account with Wells Fargo to my new checking account with Navy Federal. Wells Fargo’s security can only send a text to a U.S cell/mobile number which I don’t have, since I live in the UK which meant my transfer was not going to take place. Also, if I wanted to change my security with Wells Fargo that it was going to be a $25 charge which should be free as it is with Navy Federal. I asked Wells Fargo to send me a check for the balance, but because I am not stateside that also couldn’t be achieved. Wells Fargo sent me by mail a form on options for closing the checking account. If I filled out the application I would have to get the form notarized by someone in the U.S. Once again, I live in the UK. At this point, I have $16.00 in my account. I called them up and asked what will happen to my checking account since there are so many restrictions? They suggested that I take my form that was given to me and have someone at the U.S Embassy in London notarize it. I said I have $16 in the account! The cost of going up there and then their fees it is absolutely stupid. The customer service agents at Wells Fargo suggested that I just take out the balance in my checking account from an ATM and I would be at $0. I am not stateside. Because when you do that here in the UK there are exchange rate fees. Long story short, I closed the account by writing a check to a stateside charity which got me to $0. How Wells Fargo handled this entire thing is disgusting. I am speaking for all U.S Veterans and anyone else who suddenly had to close their U.S checking accounts, because we live overseas. We served honorably. We deserve to live where we choose. We pay taxes and are not money launderers. Beware of this bank, because they will pull the carpet from underneath you for no reason and their customer service is beyond awful!. The stress I have had trying to find a U.S banking institution has been an absolute nightmare. Two thumbs up for Navy Federal! The State Department Federal Credit Union also should be recognized!
