Awesome US Bank Employee Faye Tan
Sometimes someone does something exceptional that changes your life. An employee at a U.S. Bank branch did for me. Faye Tan, at the Montecito branch in Las Vegas, Nevada made a difference in my life one day last month. She helped me with a huge problem. Recently opened up a US bank account…
Recently opened up a US bank account and they put a hold on my account without my knowledge tried going into the branch calling the bank and emailing multiple times it’s been 3 weeks of non stop calling all for an address verification even though they needed a voters card but it’s not dated so they didn’t take it. Personally me I’m unemployed at the moment I don’t earn pay stubs and my current address isn’t on my ID/ DL honestly moving soon again and I’m waiting for a permanent resident to change address on my card. It’s been an absolute nightmare trying to get back my money they said they’ll close my account in 30 days then have to wait idk how long for a check in the mail for my money or have to go to the branch and they have to call and wait the same amount I have. If it was gonna be this much of a hassle I don’t know why the lady that helped didn’t tell me. I’m 6 months pregnant and having to fight with people on how to get my money/ to get my account verified. If you don’t have any proof of address I recommend you don’t bank with US bank. Not to mention they take so long to even respond to an email.

US Bank will not transfer my money and is holding on to it.
I transferred my wife and my CD's to State Farm Bank. Someone got the idea to transfer them to US Bank without my permission. Now our CD"s are maturing we are TRYING to get them transferred back to Discover Bank. These are Traditional and Roth CD"s and are time sensitive. It has been since July 17 and we still dont have our money transferred. I call up and get lip service from someone who is not in the CD department but puts me on hold while they talk to them. I have turned them into 3 govenment agencies. When I talk to them, they say all paperwork is fine, but then they dont transfer the money.

US Bank handles the Unemployment Debit…
US Bank handles the Unemployment Debit Cards for the State of Texas. Imagine, being unemployed and having this band of dipshits tell you that it will take 5 business days to change an address and 7-10 business days to mail a debit card. I could pick up a murder charge, see a judge, post bail, get welfare and foodstamps while robbing a liquor store before these yambags ever got mailed anything out.

Below expectations
Below expectations. The worst bank I have ever experienced. They took my money to saving account, confirmed everything is good but then put account on hold asking the same documents I provided before for the second, then third time. 3 weeks passed and the account is still on hold. It looks like fraud when the bank use your money but doesn't give you anything back....Very unfair. I can advise everybody-avoid this bank and you will save your time and nervous system.

OMGD customer support is hell! Was just on the phone for a good hour listening to "your call being transferred to available representative" an hour or so later no one came on, then they wanted me to start it all over again! I am assuming they dont do any bank business after hours?

Words cannot describe......
I got a text saying someone had opened an account using my number. It said if this is an error call this number. I called the number. The first person I got in touch with after like 15 mins hung up on me for no reason. I called back. Everybody else just kept transferring me other people. I got transferred, no exaggeration 7 times and was on the phone for an hour and a half listening to their absolutely horrendous hold music, which I recognized from the last time I had this exact same problem a year or two prior. I think I genuinely got brain damage from it. I finally got on the line with the one person at the entire company who actually knows anything and she said they would report it as fraud or something. She should just report this entire bank as fraud. I'm not even a customer and after this experience I would never consider it and I'll tell everybody what a terrible company this is. They just flat out don't care. I would award them negative stars if I could and may God have mercy on there miserable souls.....

Just deposited 510$ and when I get home I look at the receipt it says 490$. I call and of course you can’t call this bank. Go online, unless your problem fit the pre set narrative you are SOL. Union bank was so much better and you’d never have to wait like you do at this joke of a bank.

RUN, RUN, RUN from this bank!!!!
If I could leave zero stars, I would. This bank is horrific. I just opened a business account on August 30, 2023. I had a bonus offer of $750 for adding $15,000 in 30 days. At the time of the account opening, they do not provide you an account number, or anything to identify the account with, so you have to wait until they mail you the information, which is over 10 days. This bank has to fund your first deposit, then you’re on your own. They limit the amount of daily and weekly deposit amounts, assuring that you will not reach the $15,000 within 30 days. I was able to link an external account, but the moment I tried a funds transfer, my online access was locked for 48 hours for review. I immediately called customer service and was told my account was under review for 48 hours. Needless to say, no bonus amount of money in the world is worth dealing with the stress that this bank causes. In my opinion, the Federal department overseeing banks should close this bank down due to incompetency, bad faith business practices, frauds, scams, and more. Every single review about this bank is horrible! Run, Run, Run from this deceptive bank!!

Portland, OR branch on 42nd and Alberta: Thank heaven for Carol Torres. She is the only reason that branch even functions. The manager is useless as far as customer service goes. They let Tom go who also was customer oriented. When there are eight people in line and a car in drive thru and the manager is on her computer and leaving the line of customers up to only one teller; something isn't working right. Carol doesn't get upset, she just looks up and says "I will be with you in a few minutes". The manager is MIA.

I wish there is a zero star so I will give it to them. Worst customer service ever they don’t back up their customers when there’s a fraud on your credit card. I had some issue with one of the company without mentioning them yet because the dispute still going on I was hoping US bank, back me up with the facts document which I provided to them. no help at all. I’ve been loyal to this company for a long time, I had to contact the visa, company they were very helpful, I thought I was in good hands with US bank but they have proved otherwise. At least show some courtesy and kindness.

Us bank is the absolute worst financial institution ever. I was a loyal customer of 15 plus years. Us bank sneaks fees closes customers accounts without the customers consent. Supposedly when you open an account you are required to memorize every bit of that paper work. I will be sure to tell everyone I know and complete strangers how atrocious and appalling I find us banks business practices and customer service.

How much do you love being lied to???
I was told by Katie at the 29 Palms Branch that if I opened an account with US Bank and set up direct deposit I would be paid $200. I just called US Bank and was told my account did not meet something or other by a certain time. If true, this just was not explained to me. I have 2 accounts now with US Bank, one direct deposit going into one, which will be closed and reopened at some other bank where I guess I will ask more questions and read the "fine print" to make sure everything is kosher. Thanks Katie in 29 Palms, who was also promoted.

How to obtain an IRA CD - not
It's been at least 3 weeks if not more trying to obtain 200k in CD's. The pasadena US bank branch manager was at least on track to assist in the road blocks. I then went to the PS downtown branch to do the paper work - got that done and they submitted. Got a call back from Daniel at the branch stated the CD couldn't be purchased without specific details. I called the custodian - and they stated they needed a specific document. I called PS branch s/w Daniel and he wasn't aware. Today Friday just before 5pm the branch wasn't taking phone calls and the auto system hangs up on you. Call the toll free number and on interminable hold, then spoke with an agent only to be put back in line to get another rep. Leadership at US Bank learn what the agents do when they can't answer a client question. Absolute not a good experience. And in the mean time I am wasting my time. Leadership should be penalized for not educating their Union Bank workers, and understand that they had a responsibility not the client. You waste my time and then state your data to sway your success. Hell you could have better success if you did your job!

I have had no trouble with the recent transfer of my accounts from Union Bank to US Bank it went smoothly and flawlessly. However, they could make one small improvement with their online bill pay system. With all the other banks I’ve been with, the Bill Pay on their website allowed me to assign which bank account was set to pay a particular bill each time I went to pay it so I didn’t have to check it or change it each time I paid that bill. With US Bank, however, it defaults to all bills paid out of one choice. If I choose my personal checking, then all my bills, including my business bills, get paid from that account UNLESS I manually change it for that bill, EACH time I pay it. As a result of this, since I’m a new member with US Bank, I didn’t think about it as I was paying my office rent, and it got paid under my personal checking account instead of my business account. Shortly thereafter, I became overdrawn on my personal account, as I had not accounted for the additional $1000 to come out of it. To US Bank’s credit, because I caught it the same day, they did reverse the fee charges after I transferred money into my personal checking account. However, this issue, I assume, will also affect my autopay of any particular bill… It seems that this would be a very simple tech fix that US bank could and should do, in order to align with the standard of other banks. It is not easy to get into the habit of checking it and changing it each time I pay bills, and I should not have to. US Bank, please invest in this simple change and reduce not only my, but your time, effort and money

I’d give them 0 if possible. We were Union Bank customers personally and with our business for 30 years. Since they were acquired it has been an absolute disaster. I can’t get a straight answer from anyone. I have lost the ability to do basic business functions. The last straw was yesterday when I was told now our Canadian customers checks would take 6 weeks to process!!! That’s absolutely ridiculous. Their only solution is have them wire. I also discovered our personal banker left to Comerica with his entire team of 10+ people. When I called his branch the bank manager was retiring and the new manager starts tomorrow. Clearly they have a problem.

The banking branch staff our super friendly and so is the toll free customer service! So luckily I have not experienced any bad issues at all!

Terrible Support and Security setup
Unlucky that USBank took over Union Bank which I've been a customer of for 3 decades with 4 accounts. After the migration over Memorial Day I kept getting 48hr account freezes without notice or reason every couple of days. Their customer service didn't know why and they aren't allowed to talk to their security dept (only via emails). When I was able to talk to someone in security they didn't know why either! Purposely by design each side isn't allowed to know what the other is doing. That makes for a HORRIBLE time consuming customer experience. Also Support reps don't know much cause I kept getting misinformation. When I was finally able to speak to ttl 3 people in Security 1, a woman, actually hung up on me angry that I didn't have authorization which I had cause the customer service transferred me lol. Circus! The suits running this bank obviously don't care about the customer only about making $ and surviving. I will slowly be moving my accounts. Bank here at your own risk.

Wish I could leave zero stars. When setting up an account they say you can use the online banking and virtual card right away until your packet comes in the mail. The don't mention you can't use online banking until you receive your account number that is in the packet. I have to wait 10 days to receive my packet to start using my business account. Who can wait 10 days to bank for a business? When you call they're very unhelpful, a bunch of "sorry" and "we're aware of the issue" but no help. Not a good start, going to close the account and go with Bank of America.

I opened an account with US Bank
I opened an account with US Bank, Clark Ave branch in May 2023. And left in July. I was totally dissatisfied!! I received a state check every month, same day, unless it's a sat or holiday. SSA n treasury dept set it up before due date. If for some reason, as in my case, account was to be closed, the check would always be sent back to where the check came from, including the treasury dept. And be notified as such. Unfortunately, that's not what happened. In fact, I still don't know why the account was closed, then again who cares, I'm out of there! They told me SSA didn't direct deposit my check on the 3rd, or even on the 1st or 2nd month, which usually happens when the due date was originally on a Sat. They also said they were going to close my account, for what reason they didn't know. So I to reminded them about the check. Their response? "What check!?" I went in on the check to get my funds, they said SSA didn't send my check. I spoke to SSA 2x during July, the last time 18th and they said the treasury dept never got the check back. So due to this, not knowing where the check is, they couldn't send me another check. So I called us bank customer service and they told me "SSA didn't send my check until the 5th of July, that's why they didn't deposit it. A load bull!! Anyone who gets a direct deposit check, knows better!! So, what us bank told me about the check, nobody notified me about this..... They left the account open, check was deposited, the small negative balance was erased, balance was positive. They took the rest balance, put it in a check and sent it to me. I got the check of the balance in the mail and sent to me. I asked customer service group why no body bothered to notify me? They said, " lack of communication I guess ". That's a business and you tell a customer, " Lack of communication!? Dumb response!! Same kind of response from branch manager!! Thanks to US Bank, I didn't get my rent paid, medication refills, etc. I don't know how this bank stays in business!! I'll never offer this bank to anyone!!!!! July 3rd was on a 3rd

Inefficiency across the board at US Bank
If I could give US bank “zero” stars, I would. Inefficiency across the board. My experience has been horrible thus far. Presented to a branch of US bank for a scheduled appointment and was asked to reschedule because they were short staffed. Then wasted 63 minutes on the phone talking to 5 different customer service by being transferred 4 times and was recommended 3 different things. All of this was in regards to possibility of increase in credit line. It has been nothing but waste of time. Going to close our accounts and taking our business elsewhere. US bank- what a joke!

I have had it with US Bank
I have had it with US Bank. I had closed a savings account that paid me zero interest and opened a new savings account that pays me interest. For weeks US Bank sent me notices to add money to the new account, long after I had already done so. A lot of times the website messes up and I can't do things. You can only transfer a small amount of money out of savings account, compared to other banks that work much more efficiently, transfer large amounts of money and do so much faster. Now, I ordered checks from US Bank. They use Deluxe checks. Deluxe took six weeks to ship the checks, the delivery date has passed days ago. I had to call the bank, was put on hold 3 times, was on the phone for about 20 minutes and told it was my fault it is taking so long to get the checks because I ordered the checks from the US Bank website. My fault. Deluxe finally shipped the checks but did not give me a tracking number. So I have checks out there, days past the delivery date with no way to track them. All the bank did is tell me to wait until Monday, which is a week past the Deluxe delivery date and if I don't get them by then, call the bank back, explain all of this all over again and have the check order cancelled. No one needs any of this. I could have ordered checks myself from other companies and had them delivered within 3 weeks, not had to call the bank at all. It is NOT my fault. I am sick of USBank making mistakes. I had a teller at the bank telling me to set up a second CD when I told her the FDIC only insures accounts for so much, and she encouraged me to set up a second CD anyway, which is kind of illegal, considering it would not be covered by the FDIC. I am over this bank.

I've decided to close both my savings…
I've decided to close both my savings and checking accounts with US Bank due to the frustrating inability to complete a basic online external transfer. Wasting over 40 minutes on the phone being shuffled between unhelpful agents and encountering a very rude manager named Nathan, is disappointing. Being denied access to my own funds for no reason, even within the bank's inconveniently low daily limits, is simply unacceptable.

I needed to make a $160 money transfer from the US to a provider in Delhi (excellent service from Delhi). The US Bank representative went out of his way to make the process difficult, then impossible. He demanded exhaustive descriptions of the service (book cover designs), claimed the bank was protecting from fraud (none evident), would not accept the provider's US bank address as an address (showed him the entire email string, with the provider's New York and Delhi addresses). The US Bank phone follow-up, after my one-star report to them, was excellent and professional. But as for the branch, it was below terrible.

Ending a 20yr+ relationship
I’ve been banking with US Bank for over 20 years but in the past few years their online banking site has gotten progressively worse. Unable to make transfers and the site being down for maintenance during peak daytime hours (should be done late night). I’m at the point now where it is so frustrating that I finally decided to end this relationship and move to a new bank.

Froze my on line access
Froze my on line access. Called and they informed me that the account is under review but they don't know why and refused to allow me to discuss it with the office who handles reviews. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I waited 40 min with the associate saying thier busy and we will schdule a call back, we all know how call backs are handled. If on line access isn't restored within a few hours I will start closing accounts.

There is a reason US bank is being downgraded
After 3 years of banking they sent me a letter saying that they will close my account, no reason given except 'because they can'. This is not the first arrogant gesture. Once they sent me a letter giving me 5 days to respond or they would freeze my account. Again no reason given. My social security check is direct deposit and 10 days won't help. SS wants 2 months buffer to change.

Horrible scam of a company...
Horrible company that I regret ever opening acct with. I used the balance transfer and setup autopay but they messed up my acct to withdraw from after hours fixing the issue finnaly get it fixed only a few months later to get a call from their collections that they didn't get payment at which they then removed the zero interest benefit such a scam! That purposely does this so they can charge interest and add on fees when there is no issue. Furthermore I share my anger with the lady on the situation and she hangs up on me so very poor customer service horrible software and a scam of a company will not be using them ever again. Already closed my acct others beware! You'll waste more time with these guys than whatever benefit you think they provide.

Fraudulent Charges on my account for 3yrs unnoticed.
I opened an account with US bank for almost 3years to save my extra funds and I wasn’t aware that this criminally minded bank was charging me maintenance fee of $24.95 every single month. It’s usually debited quietly without an alert. I ended up closing my account today. They have ripped me of about $750 in about 3years. Don’t go near this scammers…….

USBank customer service is horribly incompetent, they make no real effort to assist their customers. They want you to do all the work, I have a disputed charge that I have been trying to resolve for over 4 months. USBank customer service just gives you the run around and no real help, they are so frustrating, the staff seem to really hate working for such a sub standard company.

Was a great bank I trusted until this year as the 4 locations around me all closed with no update. I still get social media ads about how much they are growing and there for you but yet I can visit any location without going over an hour. Even grocery store locations have closed. $20 Missing Deposit 7/31/23. At the Toluca Lake branch in CA, I made a deposit of $20 at 10:50am that did not appear in my account. I got a receipt saying the ATM had a mechanical error. I filled out an ATM dispute but did not receive a refund. I think the bank in this case should offer a refund because of the ATM being broken.

BEWARE OF US BANK WITH YOUR 401K
U.S. Bank is a horrible bank to put your trust in when it comes to your 401K. I have been dealing with them since May about withdrawing my money and it took them 10 WEEKS to let me know it was an issue with my form then it took another 3 weeks for them to send my money out when they said that my funds would be sent out ASAP because they dropped the ball with giving out information. Mind you I had been calling weeks in advance to find out what was going on and no one told me anything. If anyone ever ask me to bank with them when it comes to 401k, that would be a NO!!! Their customer service agents do the bare minimum when it was comes to looking into any issues. Now, I can say there were 2 reps that did help me out and that was the only reason why it got a resolved after 10 weeks of no proper info. US Bank needs to have a 10x better way of communicating with their customers and releasing their funds.

If I could give a negative star I would. First off, I thought taking a picture of my check would be a great idea since I would save me some time going to the bank. Therefore took a photo and it's a success on the front and success on the back. Then I was a little frustrated when at the deposit time it said there was going to be a seven day hold on the check and it processed before I was able to click no that's not acceptable . In any case Later on I received a confirmation email that the check went through ok. So I was willing to wait the 7-Day because it already went through. The next day I received email that my check did not go through and my name did not match what was on the check which is not true it totally matches. This app lied to me😠😡. So twice it said my check went through and it did not now I have to go down in person 30 Mi down 30 miles back from where I live that's an hour round trip to try to do in person what I thought their app that they're so proud of could have done or maybe an alert to somebody to figure out what's the problem since they already told me everything was okay now it's not. I am absolutely disgusted by USBank ALLOWING their branches to refuse to answer the phone. My closest bank is 30 minutes away, and I have to go in personally every month to make a wire transfer overseas. THEY DON’T ANSWER THE PHONE. I can’t count how many times I’ve gone down there during work day hours (MY work day hours) in the middle of the week and either they’re closed hours extra because of snow (But is there a voicemail message telling us? NO. Is there a notification on social media so we know? NO.) but also the teller(s) we need aren’t at work, or are on vacation (their right) or some other needlessly inconvenient thing, so I can’t even do my business. But I am not ALLOWED to know this BEFORE taking off work to drive all the way down there. WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS. WE NEED INFORMATION. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO ANSWER TO QUESTIONS **BEFORE** WE’VE BEEN INCONVENIENCED. Why is this so hard? It’s 2023. There are FOUR BILLION TOO MANY EXTRA BODIES on the planet, since 1973, yet you’re so under-staffed you can’t even answer the phone? What is our money being used for, then? I applied for a checking account with a sign up bonus, on the last day of the promotion, but I was asked to submit an additional documentation. I did it on the same day, and the status of the account was pending. On the next day my account was opened. I called their phone support to verify if I qualify for the bonus, and after few transfers, this was confirmed from a technical support specialist. So I proceeded with the funding of the account, in order to meet the requirements for the bonus. But after they got my money, they started to making up stupid excuses to not pay the bonus. I called support more than 20 times already, and they are lying shamelessly. They are referring to the day account was officially opened, and keep refusing to listen the call with their technical support specialist, no matter that every time I call them, at the beginning of the call it says that it'll be recorded for quality services. This isn't a bank you want to use. This is SCAM. They were very close to go under, and that's why they were offering all those promotions, but now are using every excuse to don't pay the money. Used my money to avoid bankruptcy FOR NOW, and then they scammed me. They intentionally lied on the day the account was opened, so I can start funding it, and when they got my money, they changed their story completely. SCAM. Stay away from this bank.

Multiple problems with the way U.S. Bank treats customers. The wait times are horrendus when you have a problem. The customer service line will eventually pick up, but the will only tell you to call another number for service. The offer no flexibility, but they will be happy to quote you the policies thta prevent them from helping you.

I have been with US Bank for years and was happy with the service until recently. I had a charge put on my credit card that I didn't authorize and I disputed the charge. It took a few phone calls to get it reverted and then they put the charge back on my card saying I had to contact the merchant to get it removed but there is no contact information for the merchant on the charge and online. I have called US Bank several times and been told someone would call me in 24 to 48 hours still no phone call. I'm in the process of removing my account with US Bank due to their poor customer services.

When you pay your property taxes and homeowners insurance directly; U.S. Bank has no ethical or surety related reason to retain your Escrow funds. You'll never get it. They will dodge, obfuscate, and outright lie to you. Even after paying off my mortgage by electronic funds transfer, months have transpired and I don't have my escrow refund. I would give them no stars if I could. These people froze my accounts because they thought there was fraud on the account, after I explained the situation and told them there was no fraud, they still kept my accounts on hold, couldn’t use MY OWN MONEY and they lost my direct deposit. Every person I talked to seemed like they had no idea what was going on and kept transferring me around, that was enough to close my account the same day. Talking to a U.S Bank rep is like talking to someone with only half a brain, they act like as long as the phone is answered, their job is done. This has to be the worse bank in the west and I will ACTIVELY be encouraging people to stay away!

I have a card with them and whenever I have a question I use their online chat or rarely call. They respond in less than a minute and they are KNOWLEDGEABLE. US Bank is without question the worst bank for customer service. I tried to add another person to our business account and the amount of documentation they required was absurd. Then when we moved to another bank I could not close the account. I dialed the 800 number and the dope on the other end could not " verify " my account even after I gave them account number, my social, etc etc etc. All because i could not remember the exact date we opened the account. I was told I had to go into a branch in person.... Called the branch to make sure I was not wasting my time with the trip and was put on hold for about 30 seconds then got the recording no one could answer. click. no option for a call back... just click. do business with us bank as a last resort.

Ok this was only with the customer service rep named Ivan. He was the only one out of multiple people who took the time to help me today. I have been waiting since last Thursday to get my account of hold. I took in documents on Monday to my branch and nothing. They did nothing just sent them through a computer. No last name or reference number because he is only James in customer service…(SURE) I was told by three separate employees that I would get my card today. I have been waiting a month and this is a replacement card, would be arriving today then when I got James(no last name) the customer service manager I was told it hasn’t shipped he has no idea if it has shipped or even when it is shipping and doesn’t know when I would be receiving it. This is worst banking experience I have ever had and I had horrible experiences with BoA and Wells Fargo but this is absolute dead worst experience EVER.

Make sure you always drop off your deposit, because if it's a large amount and you have a spouse or your child drop it off for you they won't deposit it. RIDICULOUS. I couldn't make it to the bank so I had my child do it, they told him no, that I needed to come and present ID. It's a deposit. (checks were in my name.) And then they try to tell me it's a government thing when I know it's a bank thing. I can see trying to take out money but it's a deposit. This is beyond frustrating.

I received an invitation to my business with a special deal to set up a business account. The terms of the deal required me to deposit a minimum sum of money in the account. I set up my account and then things went downhill. - I attempted to connect the US Bank account with a business account from my other bank, but it failed to make the connection. Error with no recourse. - I went to my other bank to set up a transfer and it went through. However, only able to transfer a certain amount per week. OK. - Next week, I go set up another transfer, but my other bank gives me an error, "Account not available." Upon calling my other bank, they inform me that they have been alerted to the fact that US Bank is having technical problems and that's why it won't connect. - I try to transfer the money back to my account from US Bank. But the site is broken. The transfer from account dropdown gives no options. It's empty. - I call US Bank to advise, but am told there is no easy fix for making this work online. - This too much of a hassle, so I use chat with a rep to ask for my original deposit back. I am told they will send me a check. - 3 weeks later, no check. - I go back to see if they fixed the transfer function. The transfer form is still broken. - I call US Bank and am told that they cannot access my account because my date of birth is wrong. Right, how did they do it last time I called in? I will need to go into a local branch to change my date of birth and get my money back. - On top of everything, the CS rep was dismissive and rude. US Bank is technically incompetent. When it comes to your business and your money that is a red flag.

30 years was enough at USBank, Go ELSEWHERE
I have been a USBank customer for over 30 yrs and have been satisfied with their services for the most part until this past month of June. I have custodial oversight on my daughter's checking account which I have used to bail her out on occasion. USBank this past month flipped something in THEIR system so that when I want to make payments, ie mortgage payment, they withdrew funds from my daughters account which put her in an overdrawn situation and I was ultimately delinquent in making my payment. Rather than fixing the problem which they created, I spent HOURS on the phone talking to a minimum of 15 different customer service people switching me to this department from that department without ever fixing the problem. I even had one rep yelling at me that it was my problem to fix. My kids have been overwhelmingly happy with Charles Schwab Bank, so I am happy to report I'm in the process of turning my banking needs over to Schwab after 30 years at USBank. Save yourself any anguish and stay away from USBank.

My bank was purchased by US Bank. I received my new debit card. I called to activate it. I asked the representative to confirm my PIN was the same. She said it was not. I asked if I could provide a new PIN over the phone, she said I could not, she then hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said my PIN was the same for my US Bank debit card. All this took about an hour because I had to wait for over 25 minutes each time I called. My point is I will be switching to Chase Bank. US Bank has TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE or do they hire incompetent people?

I’m a new customer to US Bank since Union Bank was bought out. Since the transfer, I have had nothing but issues. The most recent, is US Bank suspended my debit card. I’ve been calling for days to get my card issue taken care of. I get put on hold for 30 minutes, call again and put on hold for another 39 minutes. I have been calling for days. There was no suspicious activity with my account at all. How can you suspend someone’s debit card and not even address the issue? This is not a good start with this bank.

Very poor service across multiple departments.
1. Mis-transferred 4 times then to a hold time of 20 minutes plus. This despite very explicit carefully, slowly stated requests and mentioning that I had previously been mis-transferred. I think it is discourteous to just transfer in these situations without verifying that the right person was connected-and instead getting placed on hold. Asked twice to be transferred to a manager who may have more information but put back in a wrong queue. Finally reached a live person for them to say this is not our fault and to submit a dispute to the bank-written only and can take another 30 days. 2. Has not updated information they are sending to TransUnion since March according to transUnion even after a dispute on the accuracy of my credit card balances. Big adverse impact on my credit score and had other cards lower the credit limits making the situation worse. 3. Given wrong information about transfer that was made. Tried to correct it on the spot. Told I had to wait but that it was being corrected. Gave all the information to agent that was requested. Now received a request in the mail for the same information. These are just a few recent examples of poor customer service that are time consuming and frustrating. I will be using my wait time to explore other backing alternatives for my credit cards, personal accounts and business accounts, especially if I do not hear back from anyone.

After the merge, they told me 2 checks bounced, I owe them $36, I sent it. Then told me I owe them the amount of the 2 checksl PLUS another $36. I asked how much do I owe to consider my accounts closed since I had a zero balance in all 3 of my UBOC accounts. Many problems after being switch over from Union Bank which I loved for 20 years. Every time I call to get help the customer service person hangs up on me. The only way I can get help with my account is to share my screen. I don't feel like I am dealing with financial professionals at US Bank. My recurring transfers go through sometimes and are rejected other times. I'm not sure why the bank does not notify me when they are being rejected. Customer service told me "You have to enter it again" when it is an automatic transfer which has failed due to "Technical Issue" the last 2 times. It is a big hassle switching banks but they are so horrible I have no choice but to switch.

Nevermind you can get good customer service sometimes, depending on the location or the person. And the same bad people are there for years while the good ones leave. Nevermind fees are so high, it's almost impossible to like this bank on that alone. The real problem? My third day, I have tried to wire money, two support techs and no one can say why it won't transfer from my US Bank account to the receiver's US Bank account. Everyone confirmed the address is correct and all data is correct. The receiver's banker told her it's a known issue they won't fix. I have to go in person to a branch and they can apparently do their thing to make the wire go through. Why have online convenience and why charge so much in fees to only refuse to fix problems? You can't tell me you do not make enough money to NOT address your issues. The only time any multi-billion dollar company does anything to fix a problem, is when they start losing customers. I'm changing banks as soon as my house closes. CC will be paid off in one week and never used again. When I open my kids' bank accounts, they will be opened with a credit union like I'm doing in a week.

I called customer support who didn’t apologize & informed me, I would be without my paycheck deposit for up to 10 days. Then they refuse to forgive their multiple overdraft fees from their error! Was forced to become their customer resulting from buyout.....they have no email communication that you can initiate through account login. Their alert system has something to be desired and over worked by the IT team......I can't figure out how to only get TEXT alerts, like I had before, and I want to have it set up (Like I had before) to text me with ANY transaction....it now is breaking down SO much detail....I don't care if the alert was international, I JUST want ALL text alerts.....GEEZ this bank is making me come home and have to put in another few hours of a WORK day because I my account was forced over in a buy out.....I'm seriously going to change BANKS!

Re-ordering checks--a disaster
Re-ordering checks, U.S Bank could not or would not provide order confirmation. Trying to verify the order two weeks later, U.S. Bank said there was no order. Try to call the local branch via the listed phone? A joke. "Technical difficulties" recording. Reach a 'customer-service' agent by phone? A joke. "24-36 minute wait" recording. Visited the branch. Waited 15 minutes for help. Local manager went to his computer and verified my check re-order (the one they wouldn't send, and denied my having placed). Meanwhile, huge TV and radio advertising by U.S. Bank saying how wonderful they are. They're not. They're incompetent, and uncaring. As for the .01% interest they pay on a savings account, try asking for a loan and see what their loan % is. I guess they're going the way of Washington Mutual.

I've been banking at US Bank for 20 years. I recently qualified for a consolidation loan to pay off my store cards. AFTER the papers were signed the banker told me that THE BANK determines the amount each creditor is paid. So they didn't pay much on my store cards (they paid their credit card in full) so now I'm worse off than before because now I owe a huge loan payment AND my store cards. Called this particular banker 4 times with absolutely no response. Very angry!

Worst Bank
pure garbage my account was hacked used across the country no alerts no nothing withdrew all my money out my account and i still had my card in my possession. save the headache and don’t use it. only reason i had it is because of my job, immediately close my account and now everything just goes to my bank of america account. never again. Customer service had to been hired yesterday. no help, unprofessional, can barely understand what they’re saying. I filed for a dispute which thankfully work but then i ask if i can take the rest of my money out the account and there response was i have to wait 10 days to get a new card and call back so they can reactivate then go to a atm and take all the money out like you see how much i gotta do? staying with bank of america, pure hot garbage, frustrated ash.

Union Bank transfer to US Bank not a good experience
Former Union Bank customer who had corporate and personal accounts transferred to US Bank in May. We had some definite hiccups, however, since then US Bank has shown to be very customer-oriented and the wrinkles were worked out to our satisfaction. I am still somewhat surprised that I can access our business accounts with our personal log in, however.

Worst customer support ever!!
Worst customer support ever!! The people who work at the local branch are great. Customer service is VERY bad. When you call..,., 1) Expect VERY long wait times. 25+ minutes. 2) You will be placed on the "hold merry-go-round" being passed from one useless rep to another. 3) When you are able to speak with an agent, they sound like they just finished training last week, and are not helpful/knowledgeable.
