    The Best Bank Around

I have been banking with this bank for around 30 years. They have the best customer service. I would never bank elsewhere. They call me by name and treat me as if I was family. I have never had that kind o of service anywhere.

Chase has left a senior Homeless after 15 yrs!!!

Apparently no one at Chase, particularly the CEO Jamie Dimon reads this reviews or cares about them. I'm a senior who was evacuated from my condo in 2019 and here we are in almost 2023 and still no occupancy. But Chase expects me to pay mortgage, HOA fees, yet never provided me homeowners insurance as promised at closing...so I'm out of a home, my 26k down payment, my belongings and they are foreclosing on a senior, even though this senior asked for assistance, fees to be waived, etc....I'm homeless. Thank you Chase....

    Stop hiring Indians

literally the worst customer service. you're stuck with talking to people from India who do not like americans. I know that sounds crazy but I was left on hold with an indian rep who put my husband and I on hold over and over and over again for a 90 minute conversation where all we wanted to do was adjust our flight reservation. we ended yo hanging up after she left us on hold with zero checking in for 15 minutes.

    Horrible Customer Service

I am writing this review on behalf of my Mom Shirley Gross. She went to Chase Bank on 11/18/2022 at 1200 N. Clybourn to apply for a credit card. She spoke with Christopher Bielat, he said he has a customer coming in at 10am. It was already 10:10 and the customer Christopher was waiting for hadn’t arrived. After waiting for 30 minutes, he decided to assist my mom. The problem is, his appointment was late. He could’ve taken care of her at the time, but he didn’t. He told her to go to the bank on Clark Street. He made her wait as if her time wasn’t valuable. While Christopher was assisting her, he made racist comments about a previous customer. He stated a lady he had in his office can’t read or write and she didn’t know how to write her name. She had to trace over her I.D to write her name. People like Christopher Bielat has no place for working in a public place. My Mom was there for an hour and the customer who he had an appointment with didn’t show up. He’s racist, lazy, and unprofessional.

    Fraudulent

After depositing a certified check, my money has now been on hold for three days since they last promised me gold would be removed. We assure you the holds and loss prevention holds have been removed and will post tonight at 8. The funds will all be available at 8pm. Just. Another lie.

    Appalling

Appalling I made a previous complaint about Chase on Trustpilot and Chase said to ring them on a different number to look to resolving issue. I have been on the phone for almost 45 minutes.. same incompetent customer services. Might as well talk to the wall. I wouldn't trust this company with my money.

Rating is really 0 Stars because they are basically crooks. Chase has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and Management. Its truly shocking what happened. Our account was locked in overdrawn after they flagged a legitimate business check from my wife’s company as a fraudulent check. The amount of hardship and emotional strain and damage from this experience we will never forget. They show ZERO EMPATHY, ZERO COMPASSION, ZERO COMMON FREAKING SENSE, ZERO LOGIC. Its impressive how bad an experience this was. We will be taking our $$ elsewhere.

DEAD MAN WALKING Chase bank put 2 holds on my checking…

Chase bank put 2 holds on my checking acct. of many years october 26 when i discovered while attempting to transfer funds to another external acct that they had me as "deceased" and had voided my card linked to my acct. and upon calling them they acknowledged error on their part and they lifted hold 7 days later on my direct deposit from soc. sec. retirement benefits and received new card and pin # nov. 14 which meant no access to atm or purchases for food,gas,etc... for 19 days. I then filed a formal complaint with executive dept. within chase bank org. asking for facts in the negligence with their holds on my funds without a death certificate, hold order from soc. sec. or court order to withhold retirement benefits issued be a court of law. That complaint was filed on oct. 31 and still awaiting results of their internal investigation as of nov.22 on facts in this matter. After due consideration on this failure to follow rules and policies on withholding of funds by chase i am in the process of closing my acct. with them and warn folks that if they receive benefits with a direct deposit with chase to heed caution in doing so. If it can happen to me it can happen to you. Retired senior veteran from oregon still alive and kickin.

    Absolutely terrible service.

Absolutely terrible service.. they always block my card when I try to use my own debit card online. The only reason I don't close my account is cuz it would look bad on my credit report. If you're looking to open a new account I would definitely not choose Chase.. there's hundreds of other banks that are way better than them I would even pay another bank a monthly service fee over a free account at Chase!

DO NOT PUT YOUR SAVINGS IN THIS…

DO NOT PUT YOUR SAVINGS IN THIS BANK!!!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TRYING TO GET THEM OUT!!! I sold my house and put all of the proceeds into a Chase savings account with instant access to make some interest while I looked for a new property to purchase. I have found a house to buy and tried to transfer my savings into my high street current account so I could then send it to my solicitor to complete the purchase only to be told that despite there being no limit on my debit card I can only transfer £50k per day. I contacted Chase firstly on the chat to increase my limit but it was hopeless. I then called. That started on Wednesday. It is now Friday morning and I need my savings by 12pm today. I have spent over 4 hours in total on the phone with numerous people and they simply can’t give me a straight answer to when my funds will be released or if they will. I have been asked to prove I’m buying a house even though the money is to be transferred back into my RBS account that it was paid into Chase from. I was assured on Thursday it would be transferred by 11.30am that day. Nothing is happening and I am unable to speak to anyone who can help. It looks like the purchase is going to fail because I can’t access my own money. The worst experience I have ever had with a bank. Avoid like the Plague!!!!

Chase bank fraud department did very wrong

I have been banking with Chase for almost 20 years. I have a very bad experience with Chase bank today. Chase restricted my account and steal my money unreasonable. I have to spend a day to prove the check I deposited into my Chase account was not fraudulent check. The check was a PNC bank check and has been paid by PNC bank! Chase has no reason to suspect the check is fraudulent! The check was already cashed and honored by PNC 10 days ago. I have to take the business owner to Chase bank to prove the check is not fraudulent!!! Chase bank abuse their power to their own customers, they have no right to do this to their loyal customers! This is very bad! This may involve some sort of discrimination to certain group of people. I need report and investigate this matter.

    WIRE FRAUD

THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO RATE NEGATIVE STARS!!! ( WIRE FRAUD ) I PRODUCED A POLICE REPORT AND AN FBI INTERNET FRAUD CRIME REPORT WHICH CHASE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED. ONLY TO FIND OUT LATER THEY NEVER NEEDED IT. A DAY I HAD TO TAKE OFF WORK TO TAKE CARE OF. CHASE HAD TO INVESTIGATE TO DETERMINE THAT I DIDN'T TAKE MY OWN MONEY! ONCE THEY DETERMINE THAT I DIDN'T THEN I HAVE TO WAIT 45 DAYS FOR A RETURN OF MY OWN MONEY. ONLY AT THE LOCAL BRANCH COULD I SPEAK TO SOMEONE THAT SPOKE CLEAR AND DECIFIVE ENGLISH. THEY OUTSOURCE ALLL OF THEIR PHONE REPRESENTIVES. THEY READ OFF OF A SCRIPT THAT JUST GOES IN CIRCLES LIKE A PROGRAMMED ROBOT. A SCRIPT THAT IS, (1.) I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR EXPERIENCE, (2) OH I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL. NO YOU DON'T!!! NOW....WHO IS THE CROOK HERE. WIRE FRAUD FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY OR CHASE BANK??? I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS INSTITUTION. Horrible customer service, incompetent representatives AND supervisors that DO NOT CARE

I booked a hotel through the travel rewards and when I arrived my reservation was not found at the hotel EVEN THOUGH I received a confirmation email of my booking from Chase. Once I spoke to someone at Chase it was found out that their vendor booked my reservation somewhere else! Instead of being helpful the agent did nothing and after an hour on the phone with him I had to pay out of pocket for my hotel room. After my trip I have been on the phone for 12+ hours with Chase travel rewards “supervisors” to refund my points for a service they did not provide and am still nowhere! I recommended cashing out your rewards and closing this card asap unless you want to risk reserving something that may or may not exist despite receiving a confirmation. All Chase does is blame their vendors instead of making it right.

JP Morgan Chase looking to screw you too

JP Morgan Chase had a lease agreement with a vehicle for 36 months. After 36 months I had it extended another 6, and a COVID-19 policy allowed Chase to let users submit payments online in a delayed manner. Chase did not properly notify me of any account issues, and when I called Chase I was advised I can continue to make payments online. After several months when I was going to turn the car back in I received a repossession letter. I successfully turned in the car and leased a new model. My credit score went from 816 to 573. Does that sound right for having a perfect credit report? Disputing this seems to have only made my score even lower. This makes no sense, 1 star issued due to discarding me as a customer and not even allowing my account to submit anything. Rot.

I have a check from a trust fund every month. I went to Chase Bank to cash and pay my overdraft I had at Chase. Every month they caused me delays getting my money. Sometimes accused me of doubling my check and saying I tried to fraud the check. Made copies of the check to make double money. I've done the Best on my side to understand. Unfortunately it's happened every month. This Bank needs a do over in their future. I'm still a customer because of their customer service only. Thank you!

    Enables theft over customers

Terrible service. It took me 3 hours of being on the phone with them to try and resolve fraudulent charges and it still isn't fixed. I jave never regretted being a customer of a bank more. After I reported first claims and requested a new card, the fraud charges continued on the new card before I even received the card (with Chase it takes 7-10 days, as opposed to overnight from American Express). I asked why the company making fraudulent charges were allowed to keep charging, and they turned it around and blamed me for the charges saying because I trusted them with digital wallet, they don't consider the fraud charges I reported fraud. When I tried to resolve the charges with the vendor company, they asked for the card number it was charged on and Chase refused to tell me my card number that they were taking their sweet time to send, but any company who wanted to charge fraudulent charges on the other hand, had free access. BEWARE CHASE CREDIT CARDS, THEY JUST ENABLE ID THEFT AND DO NOT SERVE THEIR CUSTOMERS.

The absolute worst service Chase provides. Their foreign call center agents claim to be "travel advisors" however they lack basic knowledge of how to book/change an airline ticket. If you can book online using points and do not need any customer service then you will be okay. But if you need service, you will encounter long wait times and horrible customer service.

    Chase is the worst

If you are considering opening a chase account. I would say don’t do it!! I was a completely happy chase customer for 6 years now. Absolutely no problem before. App is simple to use and never had to contact them. Until a problem erupted. I disputed a online order of a dress I ordered but received wrong dress. I contacted them to dispute it and get a refund because seller wasn’t helping me get my refund. Chase didn’t even want any proof or anything. The seller didn’t offer any resolution and chase kept pushing for me to ask for a credit and didn’t want to refund me when it was sellers fault. NEVER AGAIN 👎 I HATE CHASE BANK

    Anti-Fraud Checks

I understand and support the need for anti-fraud checks when transferring money between Banks but today’s Chase experience was something my wife would not wish to repeat. The CS staff member was almost impossible to understand on the phone. Instructions to do this and that on a small iPhone SE might be easily understood by a teenager but not by a 75 year old! Why don’t banks adopt a simple pre-notification bank transfer alert system through the App? FWiW, the verification process is seriously flawed. Asking someone to press a notification in the App to confirm one’s identity is one thing, but all the questions asked could easily be checked by any third-party who had coerced the account holder into signing it to the App. Security is only as strong as its weakest link.

Worst customer service. I had two make a appt to open a acct and that took two weeks. Then had to wait a week for any type of atm card. Now they placed my company check on hold for 12 days when I was told they would release at 11 pm that same day. Now I don’t have any money and they are closed for Veterans Day. I had to cancel my trip to see my kids and grandkids. It’s hard to travel with less that $50.00 on a road trip 250 miles each way. And if I want see a anyone I have to make a appt and that is over a week away. What happened to customer service? Do not bank here!!!!

    WORST customer service ever…

WORST customer service I have ever experienced. You have to fill out the forms and send the attachments multiple times to get anything done (because, I don't know, they lose important documents like copies of your driver's license and social security card?), and as a result, it takes about 10 times longer to get anything done (if it ever gets done at all?) than in any other bank. They have actually forced me to seriously think about leaving the incorrect name on my credit card, because it's been 2 months since I asked them to fix it and they still haven't done a thing. They seem to prefer me going around paying for stuff with an illegal identity...?

    Don't bank with Chase

Been a chase customer for a few years now and didn't really have any issues. Recently had a falling out with someone and naturally wanted to stop paying their bills for them. I told them in advance and asked them to change the Auto pay to their card. They didn't so I contacted the services support and they told me there was nothing they could do and to call my bank. I call chase tell them everything, and they tell me to call the other service's Customer support, which I told them I did, and they basically said try harder. Like is it not chases job to handle this themselves when I dispute an unwanted charge. It's not like I opened the other service's account with my card in the first place, it was already established long before I started paying it. It's not my account I don't want to pay it, I don't think that's unreasonable. Anyway so after this back and forth they finally do their own job, I get my money back and they tell me that I won't be charged again. Great! "Not to bad, why the 1 star?" Well that was a month ago... Fast forward to this month. Same charge shows up but this time it's $20 more. I check my account and contact support of the service and this charge doesn't appear on my account. So naturally I contact chase to dispute the charge (the one I was told I would never be charged again). And what do you know, the first thing they tell me to do is to contact the services support and check again!? I do and come back, mind you every time time I call chase and the other service it is at least a half hour wait for each. Now there are f-ing movie ads instead of elevator music!? So they transfer me to a "specialist"(call center probably in Indiana). She was great though, didn't try to make me do her job for her and got my issues resolved... Or so I thought. She told me I needed to replace my card so we went through with that and she added a credit to my account to cover the charge. She told me that in the meantime I could use this new card in the chase digital wallet (in 24 hours) while I waited for the physical card to arrive in 10 business days. That was 2 days ago. Card didn't show up in my digital wallet after over 24hours so I contacted support yesterday. They told me I had to wait 24 hours after the claim was made, I made the claim the day before so.... But the said the claim wasn't filed until the morning after I originally called. Okay... Present day: still no card in digital wallet, the credit is gone, and the charge is back... To early to call support but when I do I'm gonna close my account and find a new bank. Don't bank with Chase they are quick to take your money but when you ask them to do their job, they don't. Update, made me run more circles. Card is finally in my digital wallet, was told it would work "instantly", but I can't use it. Got declined I called and let them know it was not working. New guy (because it's always someone different) tells me oh it will actually take a few hours to process. It's been more than a few hours, still not working. I call again, lady asks if I have received any notifications from chase. I haven't. No text, no email, no call ,no noti in the app, nothing. Then get this, the reason it was declined was because the charge was detected as fraud. Some one is lying or they are all just making stuff up and hoping I won't call back when I can't access my own money. anyway the fraud department is closed so now I have to wait at least another day before I can use my own fing money. I have bills to pay!

They are holding my money hostage

They are holding my money hostage. My fiance was awarded a large injury settlement. The defendants in the case paid the funds beginning of August to the Bonds department. Who then used the money to open an interest yielding account without my fiances consent all the while refusing to turn the proceeds over despite court orders. Now since the money has been located and those govt officials are facing charges the problem is that the bank continually lies on a daily basis that they have transferred his money into his acct, but each day they have not. So each day this very patient Supreme Court issues additional orders. This bank is determined to keep control of his money. My next option is to call the news outlets and find one interested in this story. If this review is not posted I will put it on every social media platform. We are done being nice and patient while my fiance struggles to have his needs met

Don't trust Chase with your business' money!

Absolute worst experience ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I were trying to wire money from our eTrade account over to our Chase Bank Account to complete a real estate transaction - hundreds or thousands of dollars. eTrade completed their end of the wire without a problem. Our Chase business accounts rep doesn't see the money on their end though. They keep transferring us to their Electronic Money Movement department and every single person we have talked to in that department doesn't even know what a Federal Reference Number is (let alone know how to look it up and pull our money into our account). I am on my 4th phone call of the day to them right now and I have literally been on hold for 1 hour, 42 minutes, and 11 seconds. We are a small business and can't afford to have a bank just "lose" our money for days on end. So I advise anyone reading this - do NOT trust your money to Chase bank. They don't train their staff well enough to appropriately support business clients.

I’ve been with chase for over 18 years

I’ve been with chase for over 18 years. I disputed SEVERAL transactions from a merchant that I had proof that I didn’t do. They (Chase) declined my claim and said I did the transactions. I also shared that I did ATTEMPT to do 2 transactions with the merchant and was told my card got declined. They took the merchandise from me. The next day I find out my transactions that were ATTEMPTED were debited from my account. I told the store and they said there was nothing they can do. So I called chase. I got a temporary credit and then was told NO I completed those transactions. Yeah I attempted two transactions but the girl at the store said it was declined and took my merchandise. My kids were there and SAW it all. So now I have paid $1000+ dollars for transactions I didn’t do and for transactions I did try to do but the merchandise was taken from STORE EMPLOYEE and said my card was declined (which it wasn’t) I’m now charged for too. I would not recommend this company AND I will be taking them to court.

There isn't much point in having a checking account with JP Morgan Chase Bank when their ATM has been out of service for over three weeks!!!! Option 1 is to purchase an item to get a small amount of cash back or Option 2, use another financial institution's ATM and get hit with fees from that bank's ATM and Chase!!!

    Most worthless banking institution

You know Chase has been so difficult to deal with trying to get my Mom's account and finances in order while she is handicapped and on hospice and about to pass away any day now. I have lost track of the number of times I have dragged her down to their office in a wheel chair and oxygen and drugged on morphine to try and get things squared away. We explained the situation to them and set the accounts up like they recommended and still cant do a thing with the accounts. This is the most worthless banking institution on the face of the earth.

The most hated company in the world, period!

If I had to write a PhD thesis, it would take me less time to describe the full spectrum of the lying, outrageous behavior this company exhibited. Have a look at their moronic CEO Jamie and it would explain 99% of what its values are and confirm that their goal number one is to exploit and screw up customers at any cost and for their own benefit. I've been a customer of theirs for 17 years. Yet, every time they did something, I told myself: "Well, maybe it just happens, let me give them the benefit of the doubt". I was wrong. It's a systematic behavior of abuse of customers at all levels! Sorry to say that, but the way of how white plantation owners treated black people in the past is roughly how Chase plays with its customer base (and I'm white!). Let me be clear: there is NO two-way communication with Chase. There is one-way, dictatorship, order-like communication that happens AFTER the fact. Now, you wonder - why is he writing this, can't he be specific? I can but as I said, it would take me a loooooooong time to cover everything. So here it is in a nutshell: I encountered costs of 1.4 million dollars because of Chase. Yes, you read it right! And yes, I do have a whole evidential trail to prove it. Hence, after the posting of this review, I'll be following up with legal actions against Chase. The time has come. 17 years was enough! Please don't make the mistake I did - run away from Chase and NEVER give them any of your business. Sooner or later, you will regret it!

    Worst Bank on the Planet

Worst Bank on the Planet, but too big to fail. I wish it would! They give banking a bad name. I cannot fully express how difficult it is to do anything. You cannot reach anyone on the phone, they won't pick up. I called the 800 number and had them try to reach any of 4 branches near me, none of the branches would pick up the internal Chase line that they are supposed to answer for other Chase employees. Getting a CD took 5 visits, they made us wait 2 hrs on one appointment, they missed another appt from being sick and didn't let us know or call after to reschedule. Their website interface doesn't work properly for account payment status and many other broken areas, and has been this way more than a decade despite numerous complaints, and the notification area that is supposed to be for emergency alerts, red flags and issues has been taken over and abused by marketing to push 4-5 messages a day that stick and don't go away unless you open and delete them. Their interest rates are consistently the lowest and the customer service is the worst of any company I've ever dealt with, by a far margin! It's just pathetic in every way and they don't care, and it shows in everything they do.

Chase does not understand of abide by the direct debit guarantee

I contacted Chase by the chat 'service' wanting two direct debits reversing as they were taken in error by a company I deal with. After going through several agents, and explaining the direct debit guarantee of an immediate refund from the bank (in such cases) - this was refused several times, and I was told a 'case' would be opened and I would be contacted. I explained that this is not acceptable. I screenshot the direct debit guarantee from the FSA, the agents still would not refund me. I went through on the phone, asked explicitly if the agent understood the guarantee, they confirmed yes, but again refused, stating a 'case' was ongoing. I was advised this case would take three working days. There is nothing to investigate! I explained that I would stay on the phone all afternoon if needs be until refunded and then report Chase to the FSA as they are not following the rules. About 20 minutes later, I was refunded into my account. The moral of the story is don't be fobbed off! This is the first time that I have had bad service from Chase, but will consider changing banks if there is a serious problem like this again.

    A senior working toward retirement!

Someone stole a check I had mailed to a charity for $10 and made it out for $900.00 . They took it to their banks ATM and cashed it. The bank B ofA sent it to Chase and they gave $900 of my hard earned dollars up just like that. The check was so badly altered you'd have to be stupid not to notice it's been altered. This was in June, it's now October and they have not replaced my money yet. I've been banking with Chase for the past 7 years and yet I'm being treated like this is my fault. They're rude, and totally unsympathetic to the situation they've cause . Chase is not the bank it use to be. I guess they've gotten to Big to respect the small bank accounts. I've filed a police report and I want justice and my $900 back.

I just recently opened an online account with chase bank. In the past 3 years I have had to stay in hotels since the pandemic started. I've been living in and off at the same hotel in those years and have never had trouble paying with my debit card. When I switched to chase bank last month my first time paying at the hotel was a nightmare. First my card comes back declined. It was early morning so I couldn't called the bank but I noticed on my app that I was missing money already so I let the hotel know I would have to come back during my lunch to pay. When I called Chase to see why I was declined they said the hotel made a suspicious charge and that's why I was declined. For my protection. I asked why I was missing a small amount of money and they said that's what was suspicious. When I inquired as to why it was declined but I was missing money I didn't get a clear be answer. Because the hotel received a declined card notice they are no in longer accept my card. Only cash. Chase doesn't have a branch here so I have to pay atm fees everytime which total bear $10 everytime. The problem is this...the hotel NEVER made a suspicious amount charge!! My sister was working the front desk at the time and I watched her type in the amount! They didn't make the amount chase claims! I've never had that ridiculous amount charged in the past til I switched to chase. Now it costs me more to pay the hotel because of atm fees. Thanks Chase bank! If you notice the review page on here it says that chase has never seen the reviews! That's how much they don't care about their customers!!

    Chase Bank's Subpar Customer Service

I have been with Chase Bank since 2011(11 years). I filed a claim with Chase Bank about a month ago. The transaction was for $31.97. I disputed the charge as the provider delivered a substandard product, with much less value than was promised. Chase called me on three (3) different occasions to assess my claim. In the end, Chase surmised that I was the one at fault, and charged me for the substandard and flawed items. Chase's customer service reps did not attempt to try and understand the nature of the product, nor did they seem to care that I was unsatisfied. Furthermore, by allowing the said company (RAPIDVIEWS) to receive payment, Chase Bank provides an avenue for fraud on a massive amount, when this is multiplied by the number of others who have been scammed and/or cheated. Chase Bank gets a 5-thumbs down rating 👎👎👎👎👎! I was not listened to, I was not heard. nor was I satisfied with how Chase Bank handled the situation. In the very near future, I will be moving from Chase. I'd avoid Chase Bank and their substandard, even subpar customer service.

    Chase ignoring probate court order

Our checking and savings accounts are with Chase and they have been managed well. However, our cousin who passed away also banked with Chase and we are listed as survivors and are to inherit some of his estate. Chase has refused to release the funds even when given a COURT ORDER from Probate. The attorney for our cousin's account and the probate lawyers are asking Chase's legal department to tell them what the reason for the holdup is, but Chase wants to hold on to the money and REFUSES to tell them anything. The legal department refuses to speak to them. This behavior is unconscionable - and Chase prolongs the grieving and difficulties of the remaining family with this obstinate, uncooperative behavior. It is a very small estate, yet Chase will not work with the attorneys who are in the process of pursing a contempt of court judgment against Chase.

    Raise your savings interest rate!

I have used Chase for many years and am generally satisfied with their services. The one thing that irks me though is their pitiful excuse for a savings APR! While other banks are starting to raise their APR due to the fed raising interest rates, Chase APR still remains at .01%! One lousy penny for every $1,000. I'm seriously considering closing my accounts and moving them elsewhere. They are many institutions out there that have better interest rates for savings.

Zero would be a deserved star for…

Zero would be a deserved star for Chase. As one customer/reviewer put: Legal Thief. That's a truthful description. Customer of Chase bank for over 25 years. Retired, moving overseas and put a request for a cash withdrawal. First at my local branch, was ignored with no call back and had to drive there twice in 10 days. All they did at the end: gave me a phone# of Santa Cruz branch - this # is unreachable. Drove there, talked to the manager and didn't hear back for another week. Drove there again and had to ask for an Executive office #. Got a case number, was calling a person handling my case for 10 days, she never called me with any info. Escalated the case and finally, after dealing with Chase for 2.5 months, was told that I can pick up my cash in 3 visits. They gave me days and time when I should come to SC branch to collect. At the day the first withdrawal should be, this person from Executive office called me 3 hours prior to my visit to Chase and stated coldly: We are closing your account and you can come prior to Monday for a cashier check from them. In all this time I went through a total humiliation of begging to Please, let me to withdraw my money. Nervous break downs, had days when I felt I'm nearing a heart attack. An Elderly Abuse and humiliation - that's the only how I can describe how Chase treats the customer with the highest credit score, diligent, truthful, with the large amount in the Chase account. Every day of those 2.5 months I had to answer over and over why I need a cash withdrawal. And the day before they scheduled for me to come in and take a first set of cash, they called and interrogated with so many questions. Made me feel like a criminal. On top of everything else they put me through and didn't release a penny to me from my own money. Chase just decided to close my account instead..after telling me that I can collect my money in 3 visits to the bank. After so many years of deposing into Chase, if I knew how it will end to withdraw my money - NEVER would have opened an account. Chase takes your money, but won't give it back to you.

I deposited a check via mobile deposit 2 weeks ago 9/24/2022 to be exact and they tell me funds should be available in a business day cool I wait. Tuesday 9/27 comes around and they put it on hold to verify funds but will be released 9/28. Cool I can wait another day. I log into my bank and see the check has been cleared. Try to zelle some money doesn’t allow me. I go get lunch and try to use my card and its declined. Call the bank, they need to verify funds. Every day since 9/28 ive called chase loss prevention dept and every rep i spoken to has told me something different and cannot resolve my issue. Finally, at least I thought, 10/2 they submit my account to reopen should take 1 business day. Ok cool finally someone resolved my issue right? Nope, tuesday 10/4 my account has not been reopened!!!! I called 3 times a day since then and every time I speak to someone they tell me in a business day. Finally today 10/6 I speak to someone who tells me they have to re submit request because it was never submitted properly!!! Chase has been holding my wire for 6 days!

I wish I didn't have to give them a star at all! Chase BANK HAS BEEN HOLDING SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS OF MINE (wire transfer) FOR SIX DAYS!!! Funds from a closing were wired to one of my Chase accounts last Friday. When I inquired, Chase Customer Service told me this account can't receive wire transfers. WHAT?? Who's ever heard of such a thing? The source bank immediately recalled the wire on Friday afternoon. I asked Chase to send the money back to the source bank and was told they never received it. It was rejected. "We can't return money we never received." is the story I was told time and time again. I asked Chase for a tracking/ reference number of some sort and was told the transaction never happened so there is no number attached to it. Several people told me this same story Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon, business day 3, I went to a branch and reached a Banker who empathized with me, spoke with the title company and asked his Supervisor, but could not help me. He told me, "It's like sending mail to an address that doesn't exist. It takes a few days to get the mail sent back. You know how when you make a purchase and your account is immediately debited, then you return that item and it takes 3-5 business days to return the funds to your account? That's basically where we are right now. We just have to wait. We don't have your funds and the other bank doesn't have your funds. It's just held up in the system." Yesterday, business day 4, the source bank sent another recall because Chase never responded to the first recall. This is the message that was received: Free Format Text: 2ND REQST NO REPLY TO OUR MESSAGES DD 220930 ATTN INVRE YR FED MSG DD 09/30/2022 REQ RTN OF IMAD 0930MMQF MPAN000307 DD 09/30/2022 FOR $$$. 00/USD.WE'RE CONTACTING CREDIT PART Y FOR DBT AUTHORIZATION. WILL ADV U PON ...(1/2) OF MSG. TO BE CONTD. R EGARDS, JPMORGAN OUR REF JPM220930- 012857 GLBL SOL CNTR (866) 223-0359 *** Do you see the part where they say they're contacting the credit party for debit authorization??? So they DO have my money and it's in an account. JUST NOT MINE!!! This morning, business day 5, I called the number they sent for their Global Solutions Center and was rerouted, because it's a personal account, back to the Customer Service line where I have talked to no less than 10 people already. I spoke with Carlo, the Supervisor (who has no Supervisor. He is the "highest degree of escalation"), who checked on the wire and said they do, in fact, have my money and it's in process of being transferred back to the source bank. It will take 1-2 business days. AND NOW THERE IS A CASE NUMBER!!! RECAP: For 5 days Chase said they didn't have the money and now they're saying that you do have it but I can't have it for another 1-2 business days. Keep in mind, I have another Chase account the funds could be put into but they refuse to do that. Tomorrow is Friday and Monday is a Federal holiday! Here I am, just a Mom/ Wife/ Real Estate Agent from Fort Worth, Texas and this huge corporation has held my paycheck which should have immediately been available 6 days ago, on the last day of the month. I am at the end of my rope! I have bills to pay! My family is suffering in the worst way because of this and there is not one thing I can do to fight this enormous company that is holding my money and doesn't care one thing about their customers! #chasebank #JPMorganChase

She had been slated to start a position at Chase this Monday but tried to get them to delay it as she would be in New York for the funeral. Chase Bank's financial advisors will help you LOSE money.

Chase Bank's financial advisors will invariably give you bad financial advice. Early in 2022, when I wanted to pull my money out of the markets and put it into CD's, my advisor talked me out of it. Since then, I have lost tens of thousands of dollars of my money. Chase financial advisors should listen instead of telling you what to do. It seems to me I have lost control of my money. My "financial advisor" now controls my money, telling me what to do with it and when. I think the best course of action going forward is to just cut my losses and end my relationship with Chase. I'm sorry I ever set foot in one of their banks.

IF YOU DEPOSIT A CHECK THEY WILL HOLD ONTO YOUR MONEY FOR TEN DAYS ALTHOUGH THE CHECK HAS BEEN CLEARED AND PROCESSED AND THE FUNDS HAVE BEEN SENT. I RATHER BANK WITH ANY OTHER BANK BESIDES CHASE. WHY HAVE A CUSTOEMER DEPOSIT A CHECK THAN MAKE THEM WAIT FOR THEIR FUNDS. OBVIOUSLY THEY NEED THE FUNDS RIGHT AWAY AND SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT TEN DAYS FOR IT.

    Customer service is awful

Customer service is awful! I have been a customer of Chase for years. I liked Chase's customer service and etc. But now! OMG! Chase has unprofessional and uncaring customer service that includes dispute and fraud departments. Simply: chase reps do not care about their customers. What happened to Chase?

I’d rather keep my money in a dresser drawer than bank with Chase.

This is the absolute worst bank that I have ever been to add. Customer service is horrible. I’ve worked at banks before and I know that they do not require their employees to follow actual legal rules enough to where they actually do it because I have had way too many issues that wouldn’t happen with a bank that followed federal guidelines. When I was trying to close my accounts One was left open on purpose for a final direct deposit to go into and then I was going to close it but instead apparently Chase didn’t understand that and just on their own decided that they were going to close the account then I said I wanted left open so that it got stuck in a closed pending status for over two weeks and every time I would call and ask about why it was still in a close pending state instead of just closing since they screwed it up so that I could get the funds I was told that two days later it would be closed fully and I get the funds and then another time two days later and I will get the funds. I was told the two days later story five different times before they actually finally just closed the account. It’s almost as if they were mad that I closed my accounts with them so they screwed around and refused to give me my funds. Their mobile app is horrible it does not update properly with it what is actually going on in accounts. I will never have anything to do with Chase ever again. I went to STCU and they were more than happy to help with all of my accounts and actually worked hard to do what is best for customers.

Chase Bank has the worst customer…

Chase Bank has the worst customer service and creates so many problems for it's customers getting online access and paper statements. They constantly try to make you change your passwords and then call them to help you get back in because you can't get in anymore. I would never bank there ever myself, it's my Mom that is having so many troubles with this "Bank". They should just close down, they are not there to help their customers at all, but to just cause them troubles!!!

    This bank is sickening!!

This bank is sickening!!! They allowed someone to steal $20,000 out of my moms account through wire fraud without even verifying that it was her….. when we called to get the money back they said that there is nothing they can do…. So now this is costing my mom so much stress because attorneys have to be involved! The customer service is horrible! They will transfer you coldly, hang up on you and take you back to the main menu repeatedly when they don’t have answers! Stay away from this bank!!! I

    Chase banking and fraud

I have had a chase banking account for almost 5 years I loved it and the accessibility and 24 hour ATM options but if you care about you're personal security please don't bank with chase I had a secure bank account that they allowed over the weekend a man to make voice authorizations pretending to be me and reversed all my transactions and filed false claims made threats to me where I had to file a police report the fraud department of chase denied My claims twice because they said I used my debit card to give them the Money but they scammed and threatened me I cried with my 11 month old on the phone begging and asking how this happened what kind of secure bank account is this or the point of a fraud department and all they could do is tell me they can't help me repeated themselves told me to deal with it with the police I'm now negative two thousand in my account Cannot close it because of this luckily I was still able to get a new bank my whole life and identity was stolen and chase did not care there branch manager here in reno nv even told me to leave chase if it was him admitting that what they allowed and did to me was wrong I submitted this to the bbb and filing as many bad reviews and Complaints as I can so no one ever has to go through what I am I learned my lesson but my trust is gone with everything and I live in daily fear and stress thanks to chase they lost a loyal customer

Chase is the most bank in America

Chase is the most bank in America. When a spouse is deceased they won’t let the living spouse deposit a check in the joint account of the couple. My mom and I went to chase to deposit a check that was in my mom and dad’s name. The customer service rep refused to let us deposit the check even with a death certificate. They also don’t hardly have anyone working there to answer questions.

    Chase’s Days are numbered. Avoid.

They are trying to depend on ai and automation, which is causing pain to customers. “We think you might have your identity stolen” “We’re closing all your accounts and holding your funds forever without so much as a call or intimation by letter. Good luck!” Don’t use this bank. Its days are numbered.

250,000 reward points taken away by Chase

My sapphire credit card has been closed by Chase without notification, and all of my reward points (around 215,000 points) are gone because I haven't noticed this within 30 days. My sapphire credit card hasn't been used for 1+ year since the Pandemic, but before 2020, this card was a Sapphire Reserve and was used frequently during my every single trip. During the Pandemic, I transferred all my points to Sapphire Preferred to save annual fees from Reserve because we do not have any travel needs during the Pandemic. Now it is the end of the Pandemic, and I was thinking of converting Prefered back to Reserve, unfortunately, I found my Saphire Prefered credit card account was automatically closed, and all of my points are taken away. Clients not using the credit card for a long time doesn't necessarily mean they will never use this credit card again. We especially had such special circumstances during the past two years that prevented us from traveling. If it was not for the Pandemic, I could see myself using Sapphire Reserved a lot as it is such a nice credit card. It is reasonable that Chase closed an account haven't been used for over one year, but it is hard to believe such a huge bank company like Chase would deal with clients by choosing a way to take away their reward points completely without any notification and to burn the bridge. I had never had such a terrible experience with several accounts opened under other bank companies. I had one credit card account closed by Discover for the same reason I am having with Chase now, but Discover cashed my reward points, which is acceptable, so I do not have any complaints about it. AE once not giving me the rewards I was entitled to due to a glitch, but I got my rewards back after one called. BOA and Fidelity are always reliable and resolve my queries and concerns as soon as possible. This is why I decided to put all my checking, saving, and investment accounts in BOA and Fidelity. Unfortunately, it is to see how Chase deals with customers this way. Even if Chase offers a lot of great credit cards, such as Sapphire reserve, this terrible experience will make me think twice about opening any accounts in Chase in the future. I sincerely hope Chase will find a way to better deal with its customers. Otherwise, the only one who will get harmed the most is Chase's business but no others.

Poor Customer Serivice, Inconvenient, Account Always Locked

Chase bank has "Poor" customer service in general. This isn't the only time that it happened. Chase locked my bank account "multiple times" for unknown reasons. They also request inconveniently that you go to your nearest Chase bank to recover your account. Personally as a college student, I would strongly avoid Chase bank as your financial institution. Definitely switching my bank.

So I paid off a credit card $7500 with chase, and was told that it was the full amount including residual interest, a month later I get a bill stating that I still owe money, and I let them know that I had audio of our conversation, still, they said that the chase representative was wrong by giving the full amount and that I still owe, no accountability!!! closing my other business account and encouraging people not to do business with this bank.

Amazon sent my refund to Chase on…

Amazon sent my refund to Chase on September 7th. I don't owe any money to them, they owe me. I called Chase the morning of Sept. 19th to make sure they had my correct personal info. Long time to get things corrected, texting codes etc. Was told they'd send me an email to confirm but really to ask me asking if I preferred direct deposit or a check that can take 7-10 business days...... really? I waited all day, no email and called them again in the afternoon. Was told the email can take 24 to 48 hrs to receive. Does snail email really exist!! I never received an email this week. By chance I find out they send the email to my years old email address, the one I told them was closed. After many phone calls and messages on Facebook, I finally get an email stating they made a mistake, email sent to old email address, but I have 5 days to respond to it, uh responding to a closed account. Went to one of their branch office today, the woman was very kind and also very shocked about "headquarters customer support". Lies lies and more lies. They don't know the meaning of customer support. Mind you I paid for the Amazon item on the 12th of Aug, which I had to return. Amazon refunded my money to Chase on the Sept. 7th. I did not know Chase had it. I paid online with my bank account. Chase claims it can only be refunded after a long insane process. They won't send a check until Monday, because I did not respond.... They also said that can take another 5 weeks. Makes sense doesn't it, everything is computer and phone oriented these days, but prefer to send a check through the mail, so someone else can steal it and cash it. I was told on the 19th an email was sent but also a check! Lie. Customer service no longer exists. I would like to file a class action lawsuit for unnecessary emotional stress and hours of wasted time. Enough already, I won't be bullied by Chase to get my own money back. They are not willing to send my money back.

I deposited a proceeds check and chase is putting a hold on it for no reason since I have verified funds are available. Legal thieves.

I deposited a proceeds check from a sale into my Chase account. Chase put a hold on my check even though I have given them proof that the proceeds that have cleared the bank the check was drawn from. I have given them proof that the check has cleared, chase has verified the checks authenticity yet still a hold. Because of their legal thievery I’ve had to reschedule a closing for a house I needed these proceeds for and has resulted in fines. Chase is just another example of legal thievery. They use your money for investing purposes while your life is put on hold. Once this check clears I’m pulling out all my funds from Chase and closing all my accounts.

    Chase-Visa; Credit Cards From HELL

I have had a Chase/Visa freedom card for about 20 years and recently I applied for a Chase Amazon Reward card to get the five percent cash back offer plus $200 reward for opening the account. I heard nothing after submitting the application on line. Finally did get a call from a "off-shore (Pakistan?)" Chase rep. who I could barely understand. He took some basic info and told me I would be hearing about my new card in a few days. A couple weeks went by and I got a letter from Chase denying my application and saying they suspected someone may be using my info fraudulently. The 6 page letter went on to explain in huge detail what I needed to do to pursue my application and how to fight fraud. Remember, I have an open VISA account with Chase (for the past 20 years) a credit score over 800 and perfect on time payment rate. So, I gave up on trying to get a new card from Chase and opened an Amazon Store Card with Synchrony...also offering 5% cash back. Chase is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with as the only offer telephone customer service and their cut rate contract staff can barely speak English... too frustrating to deal with. Cross Chase off my preferred list of credit card providers.

    Truly awful

Truly awful! Avoid like the plague. They have left a single mother unable to get her money out so I’m unable to do a food shop. Absolutely outrageous is an understatement. Customer service seem to have one answer they copy and send to everyone. Once they’ve got their act together I’ll be getting my money out and closing the account

    They don't even care

I paid off my balance of $5,600 on 9.7.22 as that's the balance that was shown to me on the app. On 9.12.22, Chase added $101.56 interest because my statement closed. I called today, 9.15.22 to dispute the additional interest charges because... you know... I paid off the balance in full. However, they said the charge was valid because of how the there billing cycle works. I asked to speak with a manager to get further clarification, but she couldn't waive it either because her system said it was valid. Some way to treat a loyal customer who has been with Chase for 10+ years.

Worst bank when it comes to clearing…

Worst bank when it comes to clearing deposits in a timely manner. They cash the check from the other bank in one day and then tell their customer to wait 10 days from the deposit date to have the funds available?! Horrible customer service! I had to call their Fraud protection Dept 3 times and spend over 1 1/2 hours with agents who had no clue of what was happening! One of them put me on hold and went away!!
