Really bad credit card company
Really bad credit card company. If there’s any issues like with a charge you want to dispute they do not follow federal consumer laws and protect you like literally every other financial institution since they’re all under federal regulations. I’m filing a complaint with every government regulation agency possible before I pay off my ccs with them and close my accounts. I have the Wander and their AMEX card. They’re very scammy. After reading all the scathing reviews on here I know that it’s time for a class action lawsuit against Credit One Bank

My credit score actually went up after this card came off my account. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Outrageous interest and fees..

Stay as far away from CreditOne as you can. They say they value their customers, but in reality, they do not. I have waited over 8 months for a new replacement card and I'm still having to wait. Several times I have called and for what ever reason an agent put the wrong address down. I gave a supervisor my overseas address, gave a physical address, 2 weeks ago I gave a p o box and now i'm told they can not send the card to a p o box. This is so stupid.

Absolutely the very worst possible…
Absolutely the very worst possible option for a credit card in existence. Besides what you are reading in the numerous other complaints here (all horrifyingly true btw), you should know that when you make a payment on your card, you will not have access to your funds for cash or purchases for a full week...this is because, according to them, this is the time it takes for their bank to communicate with your bank regarding the payment... UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY AN EXTRA RIDICULOUS FEE!!! AH, THEN YOU CAN HAVE YOUR MONEY RIGHT AWAY!! SO I GUESS YOUR ADDITIONAL MONEY HAS A WAY OF MAGICALLY OPENING THE LINES OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN BANKS!!! DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GETTING THIS CARD!!! RUN FROM THE PRE-APPROVALS!!! TRUST ME, YOU DO NOT WANT A CREDIT ONE CREDIT CARD!!!!!

Accused me of Fraud on my account.
I have been with Capital One for a long time. I noticed that there was a charge on my Quicksilver credit card. I did not make the charge and I reported it as fraud. Two days later I received a letter from Capital One and the letter stated that there was no fraud and they believe that I or another person benefited from the transaction of $58.00. I would never do such a thing. I will never do business with Capital One ever again. Capital One is fraud.

TOTAL SCAM CARD
Scam! I got this credit card to specifically work on my credit rating. Had it for several months and only made one or two small purchases and paid off right away. In August, when I went to pay the bill ($99 grocery purchase), I saw 12 purchases, one right after the other - all to the same vendor which I did not recognize. 9 purchases, each for $19.98, and 3 purchases for $9.98. When I called and put in a claim for fraudulent activity, the response was: we will credit you back for the 3 $9.98 purchases, but not the other 9 that we’re each $19.98. It made absolutely no sense. I called again to complain and kept getting no help on this, they just were very cold and told me I’m responsible to pay for them. Can’t tell you how upsetting this was. I have now paid it all off and closed the account. They tried to coax me into staying with them by offering to increase my credit limit. Why would I open myself up to more fraud?! Red flag #1: why did they not notify me immediately/decline the charges/confirm with me, when someone was making 12 purchases one after another??? Red flag #2: why credit me for the 3 lesser charges and not the others that were more ($179.82 total)??? They were ALL to the same vendor!!! Soooo maddening. Totally scam card. BEWARE!

This "bank" doesn't follow the Visa dispute procedures
This "bank" does not follow the terms of their contract with Visa regarding dispute resolution procedures. They do not fulfill their promises to contact you back. When I first called on August 23, 2023, to dispute a transaction for "significantly not as described" (a reason for Paypal/Venmo disputes), the phone rep told me to expect an email from them. I didn't get an email, so I called about a week later and was told the same thing. I still never received an email, nor any further instructions on where / how to submit documentation. Meanwhile my credit union had mailed me a letter with very specific documentation requests, along with a fax number and a deadline, for my disputes of other transactions with this same merchant. Notably, as of this writing on October 12, 2023, my credit union is still investigating my disputes with them (which were on my Visa debit card). Then I got an email from Credit One on September 25, 2023, saying the dispute was closed because the transaction was authorized. I never disputed that I had authorized the transaction, I disputed that the services provided were Significantly Not As Described. Turns out that is covered under Condition 13.3 of the Visa merchant agreement, "Not as Described or Defective Merchandise / Services" = basically the same thing as Significantly Not As Described. So I called again, that time the phone rep told me to upload my documentation to their website, and guided me to where that should have happened - but the website is broken. I couldn't upload documents on multiple browsers, neither on Windows, Mac, nor Linux - and I'm a software engineer. (As of this writing on October 12, 2023, the website is still broken; whenever you try to upload dispute documents it says "We were unable to process your request. Please try again later.") So the rep had me email my 30 pages of documentation. My Gmail read receipt tracker showed that my email was opened twice. Then, less than 24 hours later, they closed the dispute again, saying the transaction was authorized. They clearly never reviewed my 30 pages of documentation. So I called again on September 27, 2023, and was told that they would review my dispute, and that someone from their corporate office in Las Vegas would be calling me (because their customer services phone reps are overseas, which would be fine if those reps were doing their jobs; they are not). No one from Las Vegas ever called me. Meanwhile now my card is over the limit because they've reversed the provisional credit and never investigated my dispute claims. I imagine they'll be reporting to the credit bureaus that I'm over the limit, even though that is fully their fault. On October 4, 2023, I tweeted at them, and they asked me to direct message them on Twitter, which I did. The person answering the messages on Twitter, claiming their name was Susan, replied with a bunch of rote copy/pasted answers. She promised me that someone would be calling me, "A representative from our Fraud Department will assist you further"; no one ever called me. So I wrote again the folowing day, and the person who is supposedly Susan said "We're working hard to resolve your concerns and will contact you with an update as soon as possible." When I hadn't gotten a response, I messaged again, and supposedly Susan copy/pasted that exact same response. Then on October 10, 2023, I messaged again, and this time it was supposedly Kim, saying "Thank you for reaching out to us. How can we assist you at this time?" Then when I told her to scroll back and read my detailed message about the fact that they're not following the proper dispute process, she copy/pasted instructions for how to file a dispute. So I called today, October 12, 2023, and was given the run-around again. Supposedly someone from Vegas is calling me tomorrow but I'm not hopeful that this "bank" will follow through on its promises, especially given that they don't follow through on the terms of their contract with Visa. Stay far, far away from this excuse for a bank.

Don't get this card
Don't get this card. Their customer service is over seas and they don't even know how to help. They just keep transfering you. I paid bill last month, they put a hold on my card. I found out cause I went to pay today and was told they need my bank statement. Why would you need that, it's none of your business. I've used account before. You took the money out but, now you want me to show you I paid it.

Trying to eliminate it from my wallet
I wish i would’ve never entered into business with this company, you know some of the smaller tier companies aren’t flaky & predatory like your business. I called to adjust a rate & maybe seek a credit limit for being a valued customer BIG MISTAKE! Csr reps will drive you to drink so everybody be prepared when calling or just wait to it’s an emergency to call, it’s definitely not a North American call center so they definitely don’t care about your problems. if you seeking this card out for bad credit or building such accts RUN! It’s more less bogus cards out there than these credit predators, continue your search.

FALSE ADVERTISING ‼️
FALSE ADVERTISING ‼️ They will APPROVE you! Tell you they’re going to send your card! Then you dial in for a status update, & they tell you they need MORE DOCUMENTS! Additional documents uploaded, and your card is still on HOLD! They then advise your address on id doesn’t match your CURRENT ADDRESS! Which by the way is the SAME address they mailed card! Escalating doesn’t work ‼️ CAPITAL ONE WOULD NEVER 👎

You Can't Leave this bank
On August 30, 2023, I engaged in a conversation with one of your call center employees that regrettably extended for a considerable duration, eventually leading me to believe that I was disconnected due to your call center's closing hours. This conversation emerged from my relentless efforts to address a seemingly straightforward matter thathas inexplicably evolved into an ongoing predicament. The primary source of my distressis the persistently low balance (no more than $75 at any time) on my account, which has compelled me to expend an excessive amount of time and energy ensuring that my credit remains unaffected by these unresolved discrepancies. For the purpose of clarity, I would like to outline the timeline of events that have transpired since May 2023: In May 2023, I discovered that the auto payment feature for my account had been inexplicably removed, prompting a notification from your bank. Although my account carries a meager monthly charge of approximately fifteen dollars from a credit reporting agency, I was compelled to address this issue promptly by reaching out to your customer service. In June 2023, despite having canceled my subscription to Experian's Credit Reporting Service, I continued to receive bills from them. Recognizing this as a fraudulent charge, I immediately reported the incident. Following this episode, I have encountered no additional charges on my Credit One Bank account. On July 19, 2023, I received yet another alarming email regarding a past due amount, despite my unwavering efforts to address fraudulent activity. I promptly contacted your account management team to explain the situation and express my deep frustration. Unfortunately, my attempt to resolve the matter was met with an unexpected redirection to your account recovery department, where I was urged to retain my account by agreeing to a six-month moratorium while paying the remaining balance of $45 to keep the account active. To my dismay, in August 2023, I received a letter indicating that I now owe $77. I am utterly perplexed by this development, as I had previously been assured of a zero balance.Given my diligent efforts to manage and rectify these discrepancies, this sudden appearance of a balance is both bewildering and disheartening. It is vital to emphasize that my credit score currently stands above 700, and my credit limits across all other accounts far exceed the limitations of this particular account. I am gravely concerned that the unresolved issues with my Credit One Bank account could inadvertently impact my credit standing, which I have worked diligently to maintain. September 18, 2023, saying that # 23071900189C the charges disputed were fraudulent and was ruled in my favor $15.90. September 21, 2023, I paid $24.63 which was supposedly the balance left on my account. September 22, 2023, I received a new credit card offer from Credit One Bank imploring me to open up a new account. September 29, 2023, I received a demand of payment for $31.68. What is going on? Nothing new is being billed to this closed account. You also found in favor and reversed the fraudulent charges back to my account. Credit One is calling up to 8 times a day. They for some reason need to chase me around for charges that are not warranted. These are shoddy and illegal practices.

Customer Service is horrible!
I had their version of the American Express card this past year with only a $700 credit limit and a $39 annual fee to boot! I paid the account off a week ago and called today to cancel it. The phone connection between North Carolina and India was horrible, constantly breaking up. When I asked to close the account, they transferred me to a credit counselor! Why! That took 10 minutes for someone to pick up and try and offer me a credit line increase to $900, but the annual fee would still apply. After 10 minutes of begging to close the account, they finally stated it was closed. The only positive thing is I never missed a payment and paid the balance in full each month. One can only do a little with $700! Avoid these people even if you're starting or trying to reestablish your credit. There are plenty of other options, and do not trust Credit Karma or Credit Sesame; they get kickbacks from the banks for sending them customers.

One of the worst credit card companies
One of the worst credit card companies! Stay away from them. They will issue a card, and you will never receive it, but here is the kicker! There will be fraudulent charges made to the account, they will send you a text alerting you of the suspicious activity, and you will do the right thing and notify them in minutes that you never received the card or made these fraudulent charges. They will issue a new card and then TRANSFER ALL THE FRAUDULENT CHARGES ON THE NEW CARD and when you try to dispute them, they will say you made those charges because we mailed you the bill statement. You will go in circles trying to resolve this, and good luck communicating with unqualified customer representatives who are like bots reading from a teleprompter. You will probably not even understand 80% of what they are saying, it's all in Jembrish's language.. The absolutely worst company I have dealt with in my entire life!

RUN!!!!!! Don’t consider this company
RUN!!!!!!! This company handles business VERY shady. I attempted to set up a payment method after receiving my card. I decided to do that because I knew there’s no way in hell I was going to pay a Rep $4.95 for taking my payment over the phone. I finally used the card after about six weeks. I wanted to make the payment and since I thought I had set up the payment method, I paid. I didn’t not realize that the attempt failed. I tried again and it failed again. I tried a third time and yes, it failed. I realized that it was the payment method, made the correction, and FINALLY made the payment. I have made payments every other week since then. That didn’t matter because Credit One closed the card because I had three return payments. I was return payments.

Cards never delivered...just awful service
The first card was never delivered. I called, my card was canceled and a second one was "delivered." When I did not receive that one, I called yet again and again was told a new one would be sent. I am now on my third card. The rep who helped me with the third card said it would be "expedited." I received an email saying the card was shipped on Saturday, September 16 with an estimated delivery of today, Sept. 21. In the interim, I got another email saying I owe the $30 fee, which is ridiculous because why should I pay for something I never got? I called and the rep told me that the third card was not even expedited. This is the last straw. Lying to your customers should never be the standard for any business trying to make a profit. Do not bother with Credit One.

After being a customer for years and having 3 different accounts. They shut of my card because a $78 payment was usual. No text or call just shut it off ,until they get a verification from my bank that it was me who made the payment. W T F really. I have been paying from the same account for years and and confirmation #s. Why now and and why a letter confirming the account and my information? Anyway, they lost a customer that had been with them for years. Just when banks need money they are pushing people away. Avoid and business will credit one bank if you can.

Applied for the credit card and…
Applied for the credit card and received it in the mail. Typical credit card instructions, call the number on the card to activate it. So I activated the card on their site. Once on their site it shows that I have a $500 line of credit with a $125 cash advance. While on the site I opted to set up a PIN number. This is where it says the card is blocked? It gives a few reasons why which non pertain to me as I haven’t even used the card yet. So I call the number to find out why there is a hold on a card I haven’t even used yet? She told me they need to verify my drivers license and a utility bill in my name. Using their site I uploaded this to them. I called them to let them know this was completed and asked how long this will take? The woman who spoke broken English and I could hardly understand told me 7-10 days. I told her that this makes no sense. They approved me, sent me the card, I set up my account on their website which tells me I have a credit line, but I can’t use the card for another 7-10 pending verification of who I am? I called them back again on Monday morning to see if I could talk to someone in a department that handles verifications. She told me they don’t have a department like that. So I asked her again, how long will this take? I expressed my frustration and told her the only reason why I applied for this card is because I was going to use it because I am in a situation right now and it would have helped me out. She expressed her concern and told me she would expedite the information needing to be verified. She said this would take between 3-5 days but she could not promise me that it will be this fast. Well I’m not holding my breath after reading that this has happened to many people already. The exact same thing. A card was sent to them with a line of credit that they can’t use pending verification of who they are. These people are presenting themselves as a credit card company but behaving like a payday loan company with the huge difference of charging fee after fee like a credit card company does. I fear now I have made a mistake and will now be charged the annual fee of a card that I can’t even use. Seems like there are plenty of unhappy people here that have had the same issue as I have and worse. This is a good time to open up a class action lawsuit against this credit card company. This seems like a huge scam to me.

I am approved through Credit Karma. The card came and when I went to activate it..... There was a hold???? The woman on the other end of the call stated that I need to send in documents. The items they ask for can be used to create another YOU somewhere else in the world. No!! Hell NO!!! So now I took a hit on them running my credit 💣!!! And now that I won't comply.... I'll take a bigger hit when the close it 💣💣!!! What a way to screw the consumer who's trying to build their credit.

OK one bank customer service
Credit one bank has the more horrible customer service, do you ask one question in then put you for two minutes on hold do you have another question and they put you again for another two minutes on hold they can not understand when you speak Spanish, it’s very frustrating when you have to call customer service. For this reason I’m not using my card too much. I asked the guy if I can talk with that technician and he asked me if you can help me out with something else. That is so stupid. It’s not the first time it’s every time when I had to call credit one bank..

DO NOT RECOMMEND
I would not recommend this card as a credit starter, I would rather recommend a credit union to start I started that way and paid 200 to get started etc. My credit score is high, but we figured we would try to get my husbands up as well, with all the weird charges on this card and an annual fee we will pass, it seems difficult to close the account but once we figure it out, its out the door never again!! we have a Walmart charge that we did not purchase or approve. just seems impossible to have it disputed the app is a joke.

Credit One has put me in a financial…
Credit One has put me in a financial crisis. It started on 8/25/23. I went to pick my truck up at a shop where they had put a new motor in my truck. I was excited and had worked everything out to where I was going to put approx 1700 on my card. When we ran the card it declined. I received a text to confirm I was trying to use it for that amount and I replied Yes. Credit one then told me to reattempt. This went on 3 different times each time getting declined and the text back and forth telling me to reattempt. I finally called, I was told he fixed the problem and to wait 30 min and it would work. NOPE! So I called again. This time I am told I have attempted to many times and I will not be able to use the card there for 7 to 10 days. I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone telling them, they were the ones telling me to "reattempt reattempt reattempt" and now I can't use it there because it was too many attempts! So I'm told that the card will still work at other merchants just not this location. So the only way to get my truck back was to drain my bank account. It gets even better! This is the week I make my mortgage payment in which I cannot make now! On top of that, the card is still not working! I'm being told it is a fraud protection that is on the card. As of today still no help and I'm supposed to receive a call from Corporate in 24 to 48 hours. I cannot wait to speak with someone from corporate and have them listen to all of my recorded phone calls and hopefully I can send them screen shots of all the text I have from Credit one telling me to reattempt. I get paid bi weekly and I can't even use the card for gas or groceries. I talked to 4 different "managers" during my phone call and they were not in the states, they all sounded like the same person using a different name and kept using the word "unfortunately ". At one point I told them to stop using the *damn word because this is far from unfortunate! People you really need to stay away from this company!! Thanks Credit One from putting me in a financial situation that is not going to be easy to figure out and and the whole reason for a credit card is to have that peace of mind!!

STOP LIMITING HOW MANY PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE
At first i was happy to have this card but as time has went on it has become a pain in the A$$, you shouldn't be limited to how often you can PAY THEM, 1 payment every 24 hrs is f-ing crazy but then that I'm not sure what kind of clock they use but its more like 3 - 5 days. I use this card to buy crypto and when I need to get money on the card there is always some type of hold up because of their stupid rules.

this is a strange one and two fold.
this is a strange one and two fold. 1. I opened a credit card account with Credit One back in February 2021. Unfortunately, I misplaced the card before I even used it. I had so much trouble communicating to CreditOne I decided to just close the account as I could not find the card anywhere. They told me it was close, and admittedly when I checked my credit report I saw it was closed. 2. Fast forward to 2022 when they offered me an American Express card, I applied and was approved. Made a few purchases, had two late payments, and I had to "step up my game", so I started paying online or by phone as opposed to mail. CreditONE has an excellent automation, and process payments pretty quickly. Here's the trouble. I put this card under Paypal. No issue. I like to go through them cause they were pretty reliable and I don't have to keep giving my card information. As soon as 48 hours after a Paypal purchase, I phone in the payment so that my credit balance can stay low and accurate.Last Saturday I tried to pay for an item after using Paypal. Went to call it in and each time I got a live person that wanted $4.00 for the service! But they usually had standard payment as well. I tried no less than 6 times to get standard payment option. Finally decided to pay one line. I go to make the option of standard payment, and the option is "grayed out" ( meaning I can't click on that option only the express option! I cal Customer Service again and rep stated he would take my payment free of charge. Normally I would trust that, but because 1) there are still showing an open account that I closed in 2021 (2) last time I trusted customer service of another company - the payment did not get recorded for several days( But peculiar[with this incidence] is the fact my PC would not let me pay online, although it took an "autopay" but not optional of how much. I want to hear from CreditOne.I enjoyed reliable pay services by phone automation and requesting copies of bills and balances I would like to retain this account so I'm surprised at the two issues. Need to resolve.

Illegal and should be a crime!
I got a notification earlier this year that I was 'Pre-Approved' for a $2000 credit card from Credit One Bank, and accepted it, thinking this would be helpful. While I did not thoroughly read their 8 pages of MICROSCOPIC FINE PRINT 'User Agreement', I quickly became aware that this card was a criminal scam. First off, the interest rate on the card is almost illegal, or at least should be. Secondly, they charge you 'Interest Payments' every month that you have the card, which are added to your Balance. Third, the minimum monthly payment is severe and increases nearly every month. Finally, they seemingly purposely make themselves next to impossible to contact for assistance or support of any kind. Their website is a pile of garbage obviously coded by the lowest bidder and is constantly down / unreachable. Their so-called 'Customer Service number' is a Pre-Recorded robot that can help you with nothing, nor is able to connect you to a live agent ever. Apparently. the ONLY way to contact this criminal organization is to send them a letter by Postal Mail to their office in Las Vegas, and then hope someone responds. Anyway. on to my situation. After receiving my new Visa card, I started using it for groceries, utility bills, and even a few cash advances. This was a mistake because that put me on their 'VICTIM LIST', which is near impossible to get off of. I had a rather large Balance on the card before realizing that it was a scam. I decided finally to pay off the entire Balance in full, which I did, and this left me with a Balance of $0.00, at which point I threw the card into my glove box to forget about it. I had a zero Balance last night, then today, I woke up and checked the account site, which shockingly let me log in, to find that I have a Balance now of $87.11, with no explanation of the new charge. On top of this, they also are demanding a $30 'Minimum Monthly Payment' for this new fraudulent charge. I would have liked to contact them for some answers, but like any foreign company that has set itself up in America, the only person you can talk to is a robot, which is useless. I just paid these slimebags $2400, I am NOT giving them another $130, just because the card exists, and I either want these charges removed from the card, or I want the card canceled completely!

If I can give ZERO I would
If I can give ZERO I would. These people should not be in business it’s almost scary being the fact they have “users” personal information! I literally backed out after 3rd day receiving when I realized an annual fee charge of $40 for the year.. scam much because you’re not with them for an entire year to even begin with… after closing, a REP said he would close and waive ALL fees & now beginning of aug. late payment is on my credit report of $100. SCAM! I didn’t have the card for a full week and still nothing in mail since MAY stating of payments needed to be received after closing which is normal in life. Beware to those who have good credit and ends up leaving them, they’re 9/10 out to try & damage your credit/name since their AWFUL credit card isn’t needed (this is for BEGINNERS) I’m in the process of DISPUTE I NEVER miss a payment. last REP I spoke to went silent on the phone because they don’t have answers for their lies. One day this company will be SUED.

If I could give these guys -5 stars I would. Granted, at first I was thrilled to even be approved because my score is bad but they sent me a card that I couldn't even activate and put a hold on my account. But they never told me. Their reason is they mailed it out. I had to upload more documents but the upload process only allows for 2mb and even my DL was more than that. So, I figured that issue out, uploaded more documents and waited 7-10 days, and called to see if the hold was lifted. NOPE! I had to upload more stuff because I moved and my addresses don't match. I can appreciate the thoroughness but honestly, again, how do you upload anything when the system only allows 2 MB?? So, I trimmed the docs to get it done, waited 7 days, and just called back. Guess what?? The docs are still not good enough, THe customer service person told me to use a 3rd party app to reduce the docs and when I asked her what app she suggested, she told me she didn't know but to find one. I finally told her to close the account. I haven't even used or activated the card and they are already asking for a payment for the processing fee and yearly fee. DO NOT GET THIS CARD. Not to mention- all of the reps are in the Philippines which makes it really hard.

I had automated payments set up
I had automated payments set up. Without warning they removed it. I have plenty of money in checking to cover the minimum $8, which is also my total balance. Its actually their monthly fee. They removed the automated payment, charged me $20 and dinged my credit. Buy-bye! I cancelled the card and I am letting everyone know they are a rip off. If you call them to explain they you get someone who doesn't speak very good English and they do absolutely nothing!

I had applied for a recived a credit…
I had applied for a recived a credit card from credit one bank early in the beginning of 2022. I Paid at least the minimum amount due on time every month i believe i started having problems with the app and the web site about a month after joining they never was able to fix either problem for me so that i wouldn't have to call my payment in every month November of 2022 i ended up losing my cardio desided to save myself the hassle of another card but iN December i made my payment again and was going to continue to do so, at the time i was moving back and fourth between states, so i had noticed on a bill from them that i went over my credit limit by close to 100.00 and that was even after i made my payment in December.. So i stopped paying them and asked them to please explain how me not have the card in December much less using it how i went 100.00 over my limit. Everyone that i talked to about could not say how i did but i was fair and specifically ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and once i was able to i would ask for a new card and continue to make the payments i even said i would cover the interest charges i did stop making the payment so yes i did feel i owed that, i ask them to stop calling until they could put me in contact with there supervisor to this day i still haven't heard from the manager or supervisor from there.. So because they don't want to explain how and why that mistake happened they sent the late payment notices the my credit score i just didnt want to be ripped off and just wanted a explanation that i never got and now they are strong arming me to make payments or runin my credit score even worse.. That's not right or fair..

Predatory lendors who have terrible polices and customer serivce
I do not write reviews of this nature unless justified, so here it is. I have three accounts with this financial institution and have to state several negative things as I get back onto the path of getting all of my creditors paid off as quickly as possible. CreditOne is not only involved in predatory lending but its policies and customer service are horrible. I will be contacting the appropriate federal agencies and U.S. senators with my concerns. The interest rate on most of their cards (at least for me) is nearly 30% which should not even be legal. I knew that getting into bed with them, but I was desperate with financial issues and thought this was a way out. I should have listened to financial guru Suze Orman saying to me (in my head): "Don't do this." CreditOne did enter into a debt management agreement (DMP) with a non-profit consumer credit agency, so I give them a little bit of credit for doing that; however, they cannot even do that right! This week I spent 5 hours with CreditOne and my consumer credit counselor because 1) CreditOne refused to change the due date on my accounts so that the payments sent to them by the DMP would get credited timely, something all of my other creditors have agreed to do. Since they refuse to be paid by the DMP electronically, it takes a long time for the checks to get there and get posted by them. This was after even waiting to speak with a supervisor. 2) So even though I have made a good-faith effort to pay all my debts while struggling financially, this company doesn't want to budge. They told me they could ONLY change the due date if my accounts were current for two billing cycles, but they cannot be current in this situation. It is a Catch-22! 3) My consumer credit counselor spent 2.5 hours on the phone with me today, a majority of that involving my counselor talking with CreditOne about all the issues, which included me being reported to a national credit bureau for being over the limit AND for being delinquent. Credit One lied to me the other day by stating, emphatically, "Nothing to worry about, we aren't reporting anything negative to a credit bureau" and then to the consumer counselor today, "We have not reported anything negative to a credit bureau," yet I keep getting emails from Experian stating the exact opposite. To their credit, Credit One also admitted to the consumer credit counselor that they made other errors on my accounts that negatively impacted me and that they allegedly would fix those right away. They made no such offer to me when I called them. My options are to simply blow off this credit card company and end up with a really bad credit report OR try to pay what I call "ransom payments" directly to them (in addition to what my DMP is paying) to avoid being "delinquent" or "over the limit" on both accounts in the future, all of which was no fault of my own. CreditOne's overall policies and procedures are anti-consumer, unfair, and possibly illegal. I hope to have a positive change in my finances in a few months, at which time I will pay these people off in full and cancel all business with them. I might even consider contacting class action attorneys to fight them in court on behalf of those similarly situated. I won't even waste time disputing my credit report with them because it is more stress than I can handle. Stay clear from CreditOne so that you do not become yet another victim of these predatory lenders!

Strongly discourage any interaction…
Strongly discourage any interaction with this company. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. I applied for a credit card on June 15th, and since then, it has been nothing but a series of broken promises and incompetence. Despite calling them every week in July, their customer service was appalling. Each time, I was fed with empty excuses like the card being expedited or rush delivery, but the reality was far from it. On July 5th, I reported that I never received the card, and they assured me a new one would be sent out. However, that only led to more frustration when I called them again on July 12th and found out the card still hadn't been dispatched. The operator claimed there was an issue and that they would rush deliver it, but even then, the card failed to show up within the promised time frame. On July 20th, after yet another call, they informed me of an "error with shipping" and assured me that the card was finally on its way, expected to arrive in 3-5 days. By now, it was evident that they had no clue about handling their own operations, and their constant lies and delays were simply unacceptable. Feeling rightfully upset, I reached out to them on July 26th, only to be greeted with more errors and excuses. The level of incompetence displayed by this company is staggering. I asked for some form of compensation, such as a credit limit increase or fee removal, given the tremendous inconvenience caused by their incompetence, but they callously denied my request without even a second thought. It is clear that this company has no regard for its customers' satisfaction or well-being. The way they treat their clients is nothing short of disrespectful and neglectful. For a company that boasts such poor customer service and fails to fulfill its commitments, it's no surprise that they have lost my trust entirely. I have had enough of their unprofessional behavior and will be canceling my card without hesitation. I will never engage in business with this deceitful and unreliable company ever again. They have shown themselves to be nothing more than a bunch of scammers, and I urge everyone to stay far away from them.

Highly Unprofessional
Highly Unprofessional! Got approved for a Credit Card and it was shipped out July 11th. 7-10 business days till delivery. I received an email that my “… card has arrived” Checked my mail, nothing. I called and was told to wait 3 more days. Waited a bit over 3 days, nothing. I called again. I was told it was the 9th business day and my card should be delivered tomorrow on the 10th business day. Checked my mail on the 10th business day, I received a statement balance, no card (the balance for my yearly fee) which they already charged before I received a card. I called again, they cancelled the card and now sent out another card which I was told to wait another 7-10 business days.

Credit One Bank is AWFUL!
On June 19, 2023, at 2:46 PM CST I was at my work located in Richardson, Texas when I received two text messages from Credit One Bank alerting me to two purchases in two separate locations, Clique in Queens, NY and Foot Locker in Elmhurst, NY, that were declined because the card was over its limit. I logged into my Credit One account ending in 6124 and discovered there were two unauthorized purchases on my account. These purchases were for $119.76 at Champs Elmhurst, NY and $141.54 Asphalt Store in Elmhurst, both on June 19, 2023. I immediately contacted Credit One Bank to report the unauthorized purchases and I was transferred to the fraud department (outsourced to a call center in Pakistan) where I was asked several questions about the purchases. I answered them as follows: 1. I did not authorize anyone to make purchases with my credit card. 2. I did and still do have possession of the card ending in **24 and there are not authorized users on the account. 3. I was physically in Richardson, TX while the purchases were made in Queens and Elmhurst, NY. The card was cancelled, and a new card was issued. On June 20, 2023, Credit One Bank notified the three credit bureaus that my card ending in **24 was over the limit, and my Credit Score was injured by 47 points negative. One June 26, 2023, I received an email saying the charges were authorized because a chip card was used and I was charged for the purchases. I have submitted complaints to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency who handles these banks. My great credit has been injured and my next step is to hire an attorney. This issue has not been resolved as of July 25, 2023.

If I could give CREDIT ONE BANK a ZERO-star review I would. I have had a dispute since March it's now July. I spoke to several supervisors they said I would receive my credit in 5-7 business days. This bank deserves ZERO stars...07
Wish I could give this company ZERO stars because that's what they deserve. I told them a year ago, if they were going to charge me an annual fee, I didn't want their credit card. So they didn't charge me one at that time. They waited a year and then tried to charge me a $39 annual fee for the upcoming year. I called them to cancel the account because of the annual fee. The woman I spoke with had a thick accent, and I had trouble understanding her, but at one point, in the middle of what she was saying I heard, "forty percent discount." I stopped her and asked if she had mentioned a 40% discount and she told me that she was going to give me that discount on my annual fee. I told her several times that I didn't want the card if I had to pay an annual fee. After repeating that multiple times, she finally said she'd close the account. I took the current balance at that time, deducted the $39 fee, and also $.42 in cash back rewards that had not been credited to me and paid the balance that remained after those deductions. Today I found that my closed account had a $40 balance on it. It was for the annual fee that I hadn't paid. I told the customer service rep that the fee was for the period 7/2023 thru 6/2024, and I closed the account off on June 6th. She tried to tell me I had to pay the fee because it had already been added to my balance before I closed the account. She tried to insist I had to pay it. I told her I was not paying an annual fee for a year in which I would no longer have the card. We went around and around about it, and I finally asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor I spoke with told me the balance amount would be credited back to the closed account, and to give it 48 hours to take effect. This is the third time I've had issues with this bank about credit cards and annual fees. They all seem to have English as a second language and think if they speak fast enough you won't actually "catch" what they're telling you. Beware of doing business with this bank.

Never, ever give your card information to these people over the phone. I had one of them charge my debit card to pay someone else's credit card bill, and they told me there was nothing they could do because they couldn't see the charge applied on their end. I reported them for fraud and changed my debit card.

If I could give this bank a zero I…
If I could give this bank a zero I would. They keep returning my payments for no reason. I have more than enough to pay for the credit card balance. They have now decided to close my account due to them returning all of my payments “due to insufficient funds” when there’s plenty of funds in my checking/savings account. I have called them multiple times explaining my situation and they don’t understand what I’m talking about. They keep requesting proof that I had enough funds to pay my credit card. I have emailed their customer care email and they said they won’t get back to me till 10 more days through email!!!!!! One of the worst credit cards ever. High interest rates and High fees. I always pay my card on time and above the minimum amount due.I also don’t see a credit back into my checking account with the amount that was rejected. I am missing about $98.37 worth of returned funds in my checking account. Normally it would get credited back into my account but it’s completely missing and they claim there’s something wrong in my end and there isn’t. I’m super frustrated and I’m not sure what to do.

Only because there is not 0 stars…
Only because there is not 0 stars available. Credit one refuses to credit and apply a $76.55 credit issued by Amazon, to my card, because there are no charges from Amazon for that exact amount. That’s because the charge was for more than one item, and only some of the items were returned, resulting in a credit of $76.55. Credit One reps repeatedly asked what I bought, why did I make a return.. that’s really #1. None of their business and #2. Not relevant. I did give them the information REPEATEDLY, and has STILL RESULTED IN NO CREDIT BEING APPLIED.

They're very egregious and predatory
They're very egregious and predatory, your portal will show a no balance due for the month, but when you click into a specific card, you might be surprised to find that you've actually inadvertently missed a payment and have been charged a late fee. They're very misleading and will harass you non-stop after you've inadvertently missed a payment. Additionally, this incredibly subpar creditor is utilizing interest rates that far surpass maximum state usuries.

Who security do you really care about Credit One
As a customer of Credit One for a number of years, I recently moved and went online (like I did with every other credit card company) and updated my address. Credit One suspended my account and requested that I MAIL them a copy of my drivers license. I requested they reinstate my online access and I would be happy to upload any documentation they required. NOPE only way to send it is to mail it. So I I guess their security is more important than mine. So cancelled my card.

Stay Away! Terrible Experience
If there are any attorneys reading this, please consider contacting the people leaving 1 star reviews to potentially file a class action suit against this company. My experience, like many others have mentioned, has been terrible. I obtained "approval" for a Credit One Visa Platinum through a promotion through Credit Karma (attorneys: please take a look into the financial compensation Credit Karma received from Credit One Bank for this "Get approved for this card or get $50 from Credit Karma" promotion). I received and activated my card via phone. The first time I attempted to use my card it was declined. I contacted customer service who advised me that I needed to provide quite a bit more documentation before my card would be active. I submitted my documentation over 12 days ago and have not yet received any response. I attempted to sign up for an online account. Upon signing up, I received a message that my card is suspended (?!?!) I recently received an email that my account is past due and I owe a $30.00 fee. This is beyond frustrating. At this point, I just want to close out this account and go with a more reputable bank.

Credit Card
Due to circumstances, the credit was not good, so I made a credit card of CreditOne and used it once to build up the credit. However, since the due date is July 2nd, I went to the website to pay first and set up, but it was not set up at all. So I call Customer Care and pay, but even though I said I would definitely pay "Standard Pay", he didn't listen to the customer and applied $4.95 ("Express Payment") on my bank. The payment was not late, I called to pay early and forget it, but I felt that it was a company that mocked customers even though it was a small amount of money. I will never be used this card again. It is a company with no credit.

You DON'T need a credit card from this Bank.....
I was approved for the Credit One VISA 5X rewards card and received the card along with a bill for $95. I called customer service and asked what benefits I get for this $95 annual fee. They listed many "benefits" like zero liability for fraudulent charges, free online account access, help with fixing my credit score and automatic yearly renewal for $95 a year. Good sales pitch but as I explained to them, all the benefits they listed I already get from my AMEX and VISA cards from other banks without any fees. My credit score is 780+ so why do I need their card? Well, they gave me a $50 credit. Great!! I still don't need a credit card for $45 per year. It took me 22 minutes on the phone with 3 different reps to cancel the card. But, they were still going to charge me for the annual fee. Good luck trying to collect a fee for a closed account with ZERO services rendered. This must be a Nigerian bank owned by that Nigerian Military general trying to move gold bullions out of Nigeria for his retirement account. Bad behaviour from a bank confused with Capital One.

I made a double payment with my bank account not the express service days before my due date the funds sat in the account 4 days, the day my payment was due I got alerts saying I have a payment due. I tried calling to speak to someone directly no live assistance the next day I get a returned check email and a late payment charge! Complete bull**** paying this card off and never looking back. Do not waste your time or damage your credit with this company!!

The worse financial institution that I…
The worse financial institution that I had to deal with it. I paid my credit card in full every month and after couple months they started blocking my card for no reason and they keep telling me that they need a bank statement to prove my payment but they took the payment out of my account is just ridiculous.

When I signed up for this card
When I signed up for this card, there was zero annual fee. After I got the app and looked at the card information, there's all of a sudden a $95 annual fee. When I call because the customer service person was telling me that he was going to work with me we got disconnected and then they closed my account f*** this place they are shady. I tried to call back three times and every single time every operator gave me the runaround and lied. They said that they charged me on $95 annual fee to rebuild my credit. I have a great credit score. I don't need to rebuild my credit. They are liars

Complete Scam
I went to pay, which they charge you $5 to do online via a chat agent. The agent they hired is a scammer and said I didn't type YES fast enough, and closed the session in about 3 seconds, so they must get paid per session. And they want our SS number to pay which goes through these scammer chat agents.

Terrible experience with Credit One Bank
Agents simply don't care. Very bad service and the card gets stuck and they are lost. Interest rates are much higher than others. AVOID Credit One Bank.

This is the worst credit card company I’ve ever dealt with. I closed my account for fragment charges yet they continued to charge me fees, interest and late fees. It has taken almost 1 year. Cust service and fraud department are utterly useless. Stay far far away from this company

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK
This is the worst bank ever.. I was using my card fine, before they block it anywhere I tried using it. I called several times and spoke to agents from Philippines and India that never helped.. They hang up on you with no respect.. When a bank detects a suspicious transaction, they contact you either by email or text to verify the declined transaction.. That's not the case with this bank.. I spoke with several agents.. The last supervisor I spoke with told me that there is nothing that they can do about it when their system declines a transaction and when they detect a high risk website.. really?? So PayPal is a high risk website but an unknown website that almost scammed me, is not a high risk and it allowed the transaction??? Not only that, they all asked me to use a different payment method, as if I had other options, and I just had extra free time to call back and forth to use only their card.. This is absolutely non sense.. and the customer service is horrible and give you absolutely 0 help and there is no other way that you can reach out to them besides calling and having to deal with people from outside the US.. I would never recommend them to anyone no matter what the situation is..

DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS…
DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS DECEITFUL COMPANY. They have hidden fees. I applied to open the account. They gave me a $400 credit limit (!). I have another card with a 4K limit. Apparently when you first use the card, they hit you with a $75 yearly fee. Really? The charges were not even visible on my account on their website! I called customer service and questioned it. I understand the man I was speaking was just doing his job. I was insistent that the fee be removed. He kept telling me no, I kept telling him to remove it. He finally offered me a $50 credit which I accepted. I will be paying the account in full and closing the account. It is sickening that they do this to people. Shame on you Credit One. Horrible, horrible people taking advantage of consumers. Yes, I SHOULD have read everything. Lesson learned for me to be more careful in the future and to fully read the paperwork.
