Advantages Over Traditional Banks

Relay’s accounts come with several notable features that give it an advantage over traditional banks. It does not charge any checking account, overdraft, ATM, or minimum balance fees, nor does it require a minimum deposit to get started. Additionally, with access to up to 20 checking accounts and 50 physical or virtual debit Mastercards per account, Relay makes it easy for small businesses to share access and transfer funds.

Cutting-Edge Banking Services

Relay’s flexible access levels enable you to set up different logins for each user on your account and restrict their permission levels from read-only to full cash management. You can automate spending limits for team members and establish direct bank feeds to QuickBooks or Xero.

Relay Pro members gain access to upgrades including automatic import and one-click reconciliation of bills in QuickBooks and Xero. Additionally, Relay Pro lets you schedule multi-step rules for bill payments and send international and domestic wires for free. These advanced features position Relay among the best online banking options for businesses.

Within its app, Relay makes it easy to send or receive payments via check, ACH, or wire. Its added security lets you freeze card transactions with the click of a button and review your transaction history quickly and easily.

Traditional Banking Services

Like most banks, Relay makes it easy for you to deposit, transfer, and manage your money. It offers mobile check deposits, ACH, and wire transfers through its app and provides free ATM withdrawals from 30,000 Allpoint ATMs nationwide. Deposits received via ACH or check are available within 1-2 days for Relay Standard users and same day for Relay Pro users.

That said, Relay does not currently provide alternative banking services such as retirement accounts, mortgages, or loans.

Interest Rates and Fees

You can sign up for a free Relay Starter account or pay a monthly fee of $30 for a Relay Grow account. Accountants and bookkeepers can receive a discount of up to 27% through its Partner Program, based on the number of clients they have signed up with Relay. No matter what plan you choose, Relay does not charge any checking account, ATM, minimum balance, overdraft, or bounced check fees.

Rhys delivered the kind of service that…
Rhys delivered the kind of service that defines true partnership. She approached my account issue with clarity, calm, and a level of ownership that’s increasingly rare in financial services. From the outset, she explained exactly what needed to happen and kept me informed at every step, eliminating uncertainty and restoring confidence. What stood out most was her follow‑through — including a personal call after hours to confirm the issue was fully resolved and that I was satisfied. This is the standard every client hopes for: proactive communication, disciplined execution, and genuine care for the outcome. Relay Financial is fortunate to have Rhys representing their brand.

Exceptional Customer Service That Earned My Trust
I had an issue during my LLC bank account application related to the naming on my application, and I was honestly expecting it to be a frustrating experience. Instead, Annie completely changed my perspective on online banking. From the moment she greeted me, Annie brought an incredible level of professionalism, positivity, and genuine care. One of the biggest concerns people have with financial technology and online banks is whether they'll be able to reach someone who can actually help when something goes wrong. Annie made the entire process smoother and easier than many experiences I've had at traditional banks in person. She took the time to understand the root cause of my issue, performed her own troubleshooting instead of rushing me through scripted responses, kept me informed every step of the way, and clearly explained what she was doing and why. Most importantly, she found a meaningful solution that resolved my problem and gave me complete confidence in moving forward with Relay. This experience gave me tremendous trust in Relay as a financial institution. If this is the caliber of people Relay hires, I feel completely comfortable trusting them with my business banking needs. After this interaction, I honestly can't think of another banking institution I'd rather use for my LLC. Thank you, Annie, for your outstanding customer service, quick thinking, and commitment to finding real solutions. You represent the company exceptionally well and are the kind of person who builds long-term customer trust and loyalty through professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skills. You turned what could have been a stressful situation into an experience that made me confident I chose the right bank.
