Advantages Over Traditional Banks

Brex is not a traditional bank but instead an LLC that partners with FDIC-insured banks to store your uninvested cash deposits. Brex's business account is called Brex Cash. It's a cash management account that works much like a business bank account for secure deposits, payments, tracking, and built-in expense management to understand your spending. It also comes with a credit card that's automatically paid daily, like a debit card, except that it builds your business credit and gives you reward points on every purchase. The Brex Cash account and card are for all business types.

Here are some of the advantages Brex offers over a regular bank:

  • Get every employee a separate credit card that you can monitor and control.
  • Track and organize receipts with the Brex mobile app or via SMS or email.
  • Earn up to 8X rewards on ridesharing, 5X on Brex Travel, 4x on restaurants/food delivery, 3x on Apple products, 3x on recurring software, and 1x on everything else

Cutting-Edge Banking Services

Brex wants to save companies time by changing the way startups and small businesses bank. Brex believes customers should be able to sign up for a credit card and business cash account in the same amount of time it takes to sign up for a new email address.

Here are some of the highlights of Brex accounts:

  • Brex Cash and cards pair instantly.
  • Instant receipt management through the mobile app, SMS or email.
  • Reduced monthly reconciliation time by up to 50% with quick integrations with Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Concur, and Expensify.
  • Virtual cards for specific expenses to prevent unexpected employee charges.
  • More points on daily card payments.
  • Discounts valued at $150,000 that can be redeemed at any time.
  • The ability to instantly approve or deny expenses via email.
  • Beta features such as bill pay, money-saving reports, and more.

Traditional Banking Services

Since Brex is not a traditional bank, the services offered will vary from the average business bank account. However, Brex does offer several traditional services, including the following:

  • Reward corporate credit cards
  • Fraud protection
  • Free ACH and wire payments - even internationally

Unlike traditional banks, Brex can offer corporate cards with a limit 10- 20 times greater than its competitors with no personal guarantee or collateral deposit.

Interest Rates and Fees

Because Brex works like a financial management platform and not a traditional bank, it doesn’t have overdraft fees or monthly account fees. Likewise, cash you keep in your Brex account will not acquire interest over time.

Customer Service

The Brex team offers live support during business hours. Contacting the Brex Help Center takes less than 2 minutes and can be done by phone, chat, or email at any time.

Brex’s business hours are:

5:00 AM-12:00 AM  PT weekdays and holidays, 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM PT on weekends.

Phone: (833) 228-2044

Email: support@brex.com

Mobile Apps

For a streamlined experience, use Brex’s app. Since Brex is a tech-forward company, the mobile app is meant to save customers and their team time with easy-to-use features.

Brex’s app allows you to:

  • Upload your receipt and memos on the go. Brex will organize them for you.
  • Check your spending easily.
  • Access your Brex card without bringing your wallet.
  • Lock or unlock any of your cards.
  • Get push notifications to stay on top of employee spending.
  • Deposit checks.

Security

Even though Brex is not a bank, customers can still expect a high level of security and account protection. Brex works with PCI DSS-certified partners to safeguard your payment information. The company also never sells customer information or data and only shares limited information for business purposes.

Brex also offers quick fraud and theft protection. Customers immediately get their money back for any compromised transactions or chargebacks. Furthermore, all accounts are secured with enhanced 2FA.

Brex Brex Visit Brex

Summary

Brex is a must-have for startups that don’t want to be bogged down by traditional business credit limits or companies that don’t have their business credit established yet. The tech features Brex offers can help small businesses stay on top of expenses and budgeting without the need for extra time or manpower.

Applying for a Brex account is a scam/waste of time
My business earns over 5 million annually ...provided my personal info because they asked for it..My personal credit is over 800 and their wasnt a reason for my denial...After they took all of my personal info and business info they denied me because it says I dont fit their criteria and didnt pass their background check which is total bs because everything about me and my business are sqeaky clean...they dont have a valid reason other than they didnt like who was attached to the license verification...this company is a total scam.....watch yourself if your applying....side note....I dont get denied for anything because Im responsible and have a proven track record without their approval...clearly this is a bias company that only approves people that " fit their criteria" we all know what that means....smh

+81 3-4510-7811 Mr Azam Autofy Japan agent
Good day !I hope you're fine. Here, Mr Kambale Nzanzu Ozel , manager of Grazia automobile, from DRC. I am writing because the same company is using Brex account information to get further payment so I don't know where complain else where as their website and account are seized It was November 23, 2022, the date I sent Autofy Japan to its USA account $6400 for the purchase of the coaster bus, Mr Azam the one who guided me to make the transfer. But until now March 06, 2023, the vehicle has never been shipped, Mr Azam told me the vehicle will be at the port of Dar es Salaam in 25 days, today, it's been almost 4 months the vehicle has not was never sent. With that, my client decided the following: Reimburse his money. Here is the information of the bank to which I sent the money:BENEFICIARY NAME Brex Treasury LLC BENEFICIARY ADDRESS 405 Howard St. Floor 2, San Francisco, CA 94105 ACCOUNT NUMBER 670912226 BANK NAME JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A BRANCH ADDRESS 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Account suspended and no access to our funds
After successfully starting a business and depositing millions into the account over the past 2 years, Brex decided to shut down our account without any notice and ability to access our funds. To this day, our funds are still unaccessible and we can not move them to our other account. If you're a Brex customer and have a high balance on it, I'd strongly advise you to move it out because they can suspend your account without prior notice and not let you access your hard earned money. This is unacceptable No customer service and after seeing all the reviews in here, I'm not surprised at all. I'm pretty sure they'll come back saying that every voice needs to be heard and that they need additional info to release our funds. This is wrong in so many ways and can jeopardise a business you've worked so hard on.

These people are crooks
These people are crooks, liars and thieves. DO NOT WORK WITH BREX!!! They say they won't charge money to keep the account open and then suddenly start charging money to keep the account open when you're not looking. They force your account closure with no explanation and make you jump through hoops to get the remaining funds back.

A bit obtuse
A bit obtuse - we meet multiple criteria on their new customer list but were rejected during the application state with no explanation. More forthcoming requirements would be helpful as we would not have wasted time applying if we did not believe we met all requirements.

Best way to destroy your business reputation is use Brex and have payments froze because less than 25k in account
Brex does not track where transactions come from. If there is fraud on your account you are basically guilty until proven innocent. They will not do an competant investigation and dedect fraud charges from your bank account. Company is run by 20 year olds that love the word TEAM and reliquish all responsibility for thinkin to "their team will look into this." As an actual business, the incompitence is mind blowing, but they are all really nice.:) Second. Brex will shut off your funds with no warning if your Bank account you link to them drops below 25k. Thats right . The linked account must always be above 25k plus monthly charges or they stop payments and shut off card

If you're thinking about keep on going with Brex I would recommend getting out. - well Brex, we have $40m company and we are going to get another $90m and you certainly won't hear about us anymore. 12 billion company and then these reviews....to which mine gets added because they only accept Microsoft and Amazon as customers.

Smoke and mirrors - Counting the days before this implodes or gets in major problems
All is good with Brex until something is not good. We have several accounts with them. Some with millions going through and others for expenses with less amounts of money. Their support is none to non existent. They are arrogant, condescending, and will make a ton of excuses when things do not work. Essentially, this is just a children's run company that was able to capture us entrepreneurs with tons of marketing. I am sure you are noticing how upset we are with them, becasue IT JUST DOESNT WORK, their online system is full of bugs, numbers may or may not match.. etc.. I chatted with them a few times, and is like pulling teeth. They just don't care at all and they do not even have any nice words when their system is not working. Employees need to be paid in time, we rely on wire transfers, direct deposits, etc. They may disconnect the chat and say something like we will follow up in a few days by email... so now what.. I tell my employees that we are waiting for an email from Brex... I don't think so. We keep other bank accounts just because of how unreliable Brex is, and if you look at the FTC, or any other regulartory agency.. I am not the only one complaining. I wonder how long it is going to take for this to implode.

Brex is a breath of fresh air
We're a 60 person company that switched to Brex for our company cards back in June 2022, moving from a legacy credit card provider that had frozen all our cards, based on just one suspicious transaction (we're a travel company, charges can come from a LOT of countries) too many times already. The difference is night and day. Virtual cards/vendor cards, international delivery of physical cards, total visibility of transactions, and a sweet rewards system. We're yet to try out the bank transfer payments facility (doesn't support payments directly in foreign currency just yet) but we will as soon as we can.

After following the Brex requirements…
After following the Brex requirements to be part of their program we decided to apply. However, we find that after submitting all Business & personal info our application was denied for not having their industry. They work with E-commerce and we are. conclusion: we determine that having all the requirements, they sometimes collected the business, personal, and bank integration leads. Inconsistent decisions about denial. They should receive a small application to determine who or not qualify before collecting compromised data.

Very unprofessional banking system for…
Very unprofessional banking system for startups! Deal with a traditional bank where they care. I opened an account with Bree and as soon as I began collecting funds in the account I got a notice of account closure due to practices not backed by Brex. Whatever that means! They refused to elaborate what it meant but just kept saying they sent out an email explaining. Meanwhile the email just states the account will close due to practices not backed by the company. Fine just transfer my money over to me and I’ll destroy the cards. To this day my money still has not been returned. I just chalked it up as the cost of dealing with an internet bank. NEVER AGAIN! And im sure to tell ALL of my students to stay away from this company when opening a business account

Brex saves us so much time on our bookkeeping. You would think that you don't need a bank to simplify your bills/payments/credit card transactions, but the truth of the matter is that no other company is making these processes as easy as Brex makes them. We use the Brex integration into Quickbooks online. I can literally just confirm every bill/payment in Quickbooks because they all transact out of Brex and are directly imported into Quickbooks. This means that I never create a single transaction in Quickbooks. It also means that I can reconcile my bank account without any adjustments, ie it takes seconds to reconcile. Amazing product!

Account Closed Middle of Business Year
I would've given Brex 4 or even 5 stars, unfortunately they arbitrarily decided close my account after over a year of being their customer. What sucks is they are doing it in the middle of a tax year. I had integrations for payroll, cards for direct reports and auto-pay for several vendors. The least they could've done is close at end of financial year, to help make it easy to file taxes and calculate expenses. Is Brex reliable? No. Should any growing business trust them? No. They may change their criteria again for 50+ employees, $1mn+ in funding. From being a champion who recommended Brex, I am now left bitter, with a ton of reconciliation for taxes, and forced to migrate to Blue Vine. Beware of trusting startups that change the rules of the game to suit their needs. A terrible practice if you want to incite brand loyalty. Brex, this was a bad breakup!

Unprofessional and disloyal. Beware
I run an Amazon store and retail business and have used Brex for nearly 2 years. Their instant revenue service for Amazon sellers was pretty much unmatched by any competitors. Decent rewards but dodgy customer support although I can't say I ever had many reasons to have to contact them. The reason I have to rate 1 star is their unethical decision to drop "small businesses" and focus on startups and scaled companies. My yearly revenue is 250k+ and I have been a long time customer of theirs but apparently this is not enough to save me from the rug pull they have subjected the majority of their customer base to. The lack of loyalty and utter disregard for the businesses they are affecting with no warning aside from a half hearted email they mass mailed to people speaks volumes about this company, and even if I met their ridiculous criteria I would be thinking very hard about continuing to do any business with a company that cares so little about me.

They were okay - just clearly going under
They were okay. Now they're awful. Things are NOT looking good at brex, in light of recent industry cuts I can imagine the small business culling is due to their lack of funds. If you're managing a large company with Brex I would recommend getting out. We were told to leave the platform as well because we are not a * professionally funded * - well Brex, we have $12m of funding and our sister company has $80m (both use brex) and we certainly will not be putting any of it near brex anymore.

This is the most difficult business credit card account. I have ever had, I've updated my account phone number several times. Just to still be locked out of my account. They lock my card countless of times. Then give me the run around to unlock it. They don't allow me to take cash advances. This has been the worst decision to make regarding my business funds. My payroll is late to my employees every week because of them! Brex hold my wire transfer for 4 months, with out any reason!
Hello, I wired $48,000 on April 05, 2022, to my client . after one week my client told me he still didn’t have the fund, so he called and when to the bank to talk to Brex about the wire, Brex told him they are reviewing the wire -have to wait. We waited for another week, still no fund. Finally my client asked me to recall the wire. My bank Chase sent over many recall request, but no response from Brex. In the end my client when to talk to Brex again, he been told they will refund the sender of $48,000 ASAP. I have waiting for 4 months, still no refund. In the meantime, my client been calling and calling Brex, got the same answer- we will refund the $48,000 ASAP. This is highway robbery, I am so frustrated, are you guys able to help? Thanks

Brex suspended my account due to a low number of transactions. I didn't use this Bank a lot for my business due my suspicion about their activities and lack of customer service/ support and transparency. i wanted to make sure the new bank is operating properly before transferring all business accounting here. I had 100K Reward Points on the account which Brex didn't give me a chance to transfer out. They just suspended my account. I never had any suspicious or fraudulent activity, but low volume of transactions. I understand they may have choose to close account, but removing my right to transfer out points is obviously wrong on their part. I tried to contact them numerous times via chat with zero results, reply to the emails bounced back. This is unheard of and very suspicious that company has only 1 phone number available and you cant reach live representative. The replies on the chat are just cut and paste probably by bot, similar to replies to BBB complaints. Im asking Brex to give me opportunity to transfer out and use my points and remaining cash balance. Im complaining to the Security and Exchange Commission as well. When I reached out, Brex rep said the time to withdraw points has passed, which is a lie. The truth is that they disabled my access to points dashboard without warning.

Great Until They Abruptly Closed My Account...
I am writing a review for the same reason as many others recently - I am a small business (250k revenue per year) that abruptly got a notification of my account being closed. Personally, I think this was a terrible move in terms of ethics and professionalism. PROS For the 1.5 years I banked with Brex, I really didn't experience much disruption or hiccups, thankfully, that's why I'm giving them 3 stars. The integrations worked well and the app was user friendly. I almost never had to contact support. I do want to give them credit for this. CONS They are shutting my account down abruptly...like many others have said, it was a mass, generally worded email and the disruption this causes to a business, especially when done not out of choice, is INSANE! I have over 100 places I need to change my payment info and integrations. It also hinders my ability to get a bank statement loan for a home. The group who made this decision should read the book "Leaders Eat Last" by Simon Sinek and get a lesson on ethical business. Everything I do in MY business comes down to relationships, and Brex severed many, rightfully earning all these negative reviews. If the leadership group who made this decision ever were small business owners, they would understand.

Worst business card out there. Stay away.
I have multiple businesses and used many different business cards so I have some previous experience. I have had the Brex card for three years and we are currently moving over to another card. Pro's - Decent rewards. Con's - Customer Support is chat-based and slow. If you have a problem expect to figure it out yourself. This is no Amex and there is nothing prestigious about this card. - One month we had large marketing spend and we were almost at our limit so I paid our balance early on a weekday because I had AWS charges coming up etc. It took over 3 days for the money to clear although it only took a couple of hours for them to take it out of our account. In the meantime, they declined a bunch of purchases. I reached out to CS and they said they would seek to get this fixed. They did nothing, not even a follow-up. - Their customer-facing dashboard is terrible. For a unicorn their technology is embarrassing. Their app is just as bad. Everything looks like an afterthought. - They also sent some weird emails to all of their customers thanking them but saying they are kicking a lot of people off their platform. I wasn't one of them but I feel bad for businesses that have to move everything to another card. Simply put this card is not loyal to its customers. The most important thing with a business corporate card is service and Brex doesn't care. They are the Wish for credit cards. We switched to AMEX Platinum and never looked back. Excellent support, great perks & no trouble. I never place reviews but founders stay away. This company is a bubble.

They say they’re a bank for startups but definitely not the case. Right in the middle of fundraising we get an email our account is being closed due to not having $1m deposited or revenue and we have a month to find a new one. Then they must have seen how many people got pissed because the ceo then sends a cover my ass email trying to explain it more. Such bs. Last thing founders need is some pompous company saying they’re “focused on founders” only to get kicked to curb because we’re not at their standards.

Brex was awful before they closed my SB account
I have had to fight and fight with this bank even to just get money in. My business got a huge account for us and I needed my deposit ability to go up to 33k. It took me weeks to accomplish this with Brex. They said I needed to use my debit card more to have the ability to have that much of a deposit. But I countered " How can I use it more if you won't allow the deposit??" After 4 weeks they finally allowed the deposit. Now they are closing all Small Busjness accounts and it begs me to wonder if they even know what small business is! Anyone making under 500k a year cannot get an account. Or if you are a tech start up. I train Service Dogs and that isn't good enough for them. I am annoyed to the max because they said we have till August to close the account but I can't deposit my checks now at all and we are 2 months away from the deadline to get the account closed. Not only are the pulling the rug out from under all these businesses but they are taking away services before the deadline and crippling payroll for everyone. Don't do it, they have terrible communication and are doing shady business by dropping services before the deadline.

Not Reliable/Kicked Customers
I have used Brex for over a year now for my business and have very little in terms of banking needs. As a small business owner, having an easily accessible banking account and virtual debit cards provisioned when I needed them was fantastic. Brex abruptly announced they are no longer supporting small businesses and are automatically closing all accounts by early August unless they meet the following criteria: - Received an equity investment of any amount (accelerator, angel, VC, or web3 token); - More than $1 million a year in revenue; - More than 50 employees; - More than $500k in cash; - Tech startups who are on a path to meeting the criteria above are referred by an existing customer or partner. I am currently in the middle of relocating my business and having the rug pulled from under me while in the middle of this process has left a bad impression. This short-term decision made by Brex has significantly affected my business's infrastructure and made it much more difficult to handle an already involved process. If you are a large tech company or VC-funded, maybe Brex will work for you; then again, there are probably better banking options for businesses that have reached that scale. In short, I'm disappointed with how Brex has handled this considering how it was originally sold as a great option for small businesses.

WARNING! Not for startups or a small business.
Opened a Brex account, provided all legal information, funded my account and started to do business. I use Stripe as my merchant. At first things seemed great, then 2 months in, I received an email that my account will be closed, because the company strategy has changed. They gave me 2 months and suggested BlueVine. No explanation. It took several emails to learn that they are targeting bigger revenue, and not small startups or small business owners. The horror happened when I tried to move my funds. Suddenly I had to verify my identify. I was on the phone with a BlueVine agent linked into a call with Brex. For more than 1 hour the Brex agent was unable to verify my account identify. He would ask for my name, and then it cannot be found. For my business name and then it cannot be found. Then for my phone number, and it cannot be found. Then he asked me for the last transaction, and I gave that, only to learn that he changed his mind and will send me a text verification which I never got. It ended in a yelling match and was a horrible experience. Only when I uploaded a photo of my drivers license back and forth (through a link they send using my webcam) and they took a 3D face map through my webcam, was my account approved so I could pull my own funds. To the horror of the BlueVine agent and myself, we found another way to transfer my funds. Brex seemed like the cool kid on the block, only to learn that they are indeed another power-hungry-entity with outsourced support that has no clue what they are doing. DO NOT GO WITH BREX! If you are a small business owner go with BlueVine or bank locally. Getting funds in, was no problem. Getting your funds out, is a nightmare!

DO NOT bank with Brex
DO NOT bank with Brex, ever! Run! They have decided to close accounts on thousands of people with very little notice. I banked with them for almost two years and had the rug pulled out from under my business. At first I thought the snarky email was spam because it was so unbelievable, but it is all true.. Here are some alternatives I found to be pretty good: Mercury, BlueVine, Relay, Novo.

They literally kicked me out. A simple email saying you got until August 15 to withdraw your funds. Really??? That's your solution for micro business. Useless. Not recommended at all. Stay away they can update their terms and condition and ruin your business.

Questionable security practices
I wasn't going to write this but it appears this company is trouble based on recent reviews so thought I'd share our experience. It's a bit different. We were a customer for over a year. We chose to leave because we found, on multiple occasions, support did not follow their own security protocols. Several of our staff members contacted support for help via email. Support asked for security verification info. In 3 separate cases our staff was not able to provide that due to access but support provided that staff member the information they requested anyway. I heard about this by chance from those staff members a few months later in a company-wide phishing/virus/security training. We were already on the fence trusting large amounts of cash to an unregulated entity like this. Once I learned about the security issues it was an easy decision and concluded it wasn't worth the risk. I wasn't initially going to share this but I've now heard from several people I trust about other issues with this company, and after searching for reviews on them I realized I should share my experience.

Cut Off at the Knees
As a business caught in this situation, I will say Brex is not allowing us to "remain active". They shut off the ability to deposit funds into the account before they even notified us of the desire to no longer have our account. We expect many late fees and bounced transactions because we can't find and set up with a new bank and redirect 100+ vendors to a new bank account before funding runs out. This is on top of the fact that Brex has us already scrambling to change our routing and account numbers less than 3 weeks ago, and we just finished our move to Brex in April.

Closed account without notice
Closed account without notice. Unhelpful and rude "customer service" reps. Immediately upon receiving a generic email terminating our relationship, all support features became unresponsive. I maintained a balance, connected my merchant account and payroll, paid fees as requested, and never caused an issue.

This is a truly awful company with poor leadership. They closed our account despite multiple 50K+ direct deposits - we were told our account was too small. Why not tell us what their target demographic was from the beginning? We wouldn't have connected all our direct deposits and debits to this worthless account.

No Accountability - Closed Account Without Notice
Closed my business account for zero reason despite having consistent funds and zero previous issues. I was given no notice, other than through an email. My husband has a separate business account and is experiencing the same issue. They also won't let us withdraw our funds for 3 business days. When we called to find out more info, the representative was rude and unhelpful. He kept going in circles about how there was nothing he can do and refused to let us talk to a supervisor etc. Meanwhile, I have received 4 other emails from "Pry" who is now affiliated with Brex, asking me to get in touch to utilize their services. Based on this and everyone else's experiences on here recently, things do not add up. I do not recommend.

Closed account with no warning - not financially sound?
Closed our active business account without warning. We've been in business 15 years, we employee 30+ people, we have never had a negative payment, we always have cash in our account, we use it almost daily. No explanation just 'withdraw your funds and leave' We do website development for huge companies and have no strange activity that would contribute to this, and the decision is final. We have a few months to uproot everything and switch to a new account, update all our ACH info etc, connected accounts, etc.

Brex closed our account because we aren't big enough
We've been using Brex for about a year now and went with them because they advertised being a bank for small business startups. A couple weeks ago they sent us a notification that we need to change routing numbers. So we had to coordinate with our payroll, Expensify, Quickbooks, and numerous customers that pay us via ACH. After doing all that, today they sent us an email that they are closing our account on Aug 15 because we aren't a big enough account for them. We deposit 30-40k every month so even though we're a small business it's not like we are inactive nor have we ever had any overdrafts. So now we are going to have to redo all of that with a new bank. So just know that if you decide to bank with them you should expect at any time they will close your account even if you're in good standing.

Brex says "screw you" to small business owners.
Out of the blue, we get a message saying, "Brex is constantly evolving our business, and after changes to our strategy, we are less suited to meet the needs of smaller customers." So too bad, my account is closing August 15th whether I like it or not. "This decision cannot be either changed or delayed. Your account will be closed by August 15." Maybe Brex doesn't realize that small businesses become big business, and we're going to be sure to BOYCOTT any big business that uses Brex or ANY bank associated with Brex for the pain and needless aggravation this bank has put us through.

Without reason given, account closures.
Received a notice that Brex would be closing my account in one month, without explanation. Considering I have a legitimate business that is active and operating, all I can assume is that they're scrubbing me for not moving enough money through the account. Whatever their decision process is, Brex's refusal to be transparent is a terrible way to run a company that partners with others in the business world. If you want a steady business checking account, you're better off elsewhere than at the whims of a customer service platform that resembles a brick wall.

Not a Single Care for Long Term Customers
So I have had a Brex account for over a year and i was informed about a week and a half ago that ACH and Mobile Deposit functions on the account were disabled, no explanation, just boom gone, I reached out to their online support and they refused to give me an explanation, just a "I am sorry for the inconvenience", later with a different agent they said they will not reinstate the Mobile Deposit or ACH function moving forward, and they have no information if its even ever possible, to say i was blind sided is an understatement, this is my main business account and I feel helpless. Oh and by the way, Mobile Deposit is the only way to deposit a paper check into the account. Update, Brex has reached out and asked for more information which I have given, I still have not received a single email regarding my account. It honestly blows my mind that a company would treat their single biggest resource and asset like this, very, very poor management and people that call the shots over at Brex.

This was a good bank
This was a good bank (although not really a bank). I loved it. Now I cannot deposit checks. I cannot initiate an ACH transfer. I cannot deposit money unless it is an outside wire transfer or outside ACH. My traditional bank charges high fees. It is why I came here. Now I can't deposit money. They don't know why I can't deposit money. There MIGHT be a chance they enable it again in the future but no clue when. What is the point of a bank that you can't deposit money into?

Worst service ever, they closed our company account without a notification and denied to provide the reason for the closure, they hold your funds and never reply about your closed account anymore. I was a happy user until this happened. Stay as far away as you can from this scam! Update: they requested my email associated with my account, just to remain silent, they haven´t contacted me with the reason for closure. Once again, beware of this scam !!!!!

"Rejected" us before we even applied
"Rejected" us before we even applied. Based on five fundamental questions. Our company has been in business since 1988 with a commercial address and is incorporated. Without providing any information other than a name, that we are incorporated, and our address, we were "declined" with no explanation further than we are "not a good fit." It makes us wonder what "fit" are they looking for? We have our suspicions that there is some form of exclusion going on.

I recently lost my wallet in Mexico and went to the Brex app to lock my card until I could either (a) find my wallet, or (b) determine whether it was stolen. Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen and there were 3 large fraudulent charges on my Brex card until it was locked by the company on the 4th charge. In my opinion, the card should have been locked from the app and none of the charges should have been permitted. Otherwise, great app, great company!

Brex is not trustworthy
my account has been close for over 2 months now and I still cannot redraw my balance. Every time I am being told my account is being reviewed. I only have two transaction history on my account. Why does it take Brex months to review an account with only 2 transactions? I have no more money to support my business. Why should it be difficult to get my balance? Please complete my account review so I can redraw my balance.

I opened a Brex cash account in…
I opened a Brex cash account in February 2022. I decided to start using my account in March 2022. I took out a business loan of $35,000 from my cousin which I had her send to my Brex cash account. My account was blocked as soon as the money was credit to my Brex account. It’s been over a month now since my Brex account has been blocked and Brex won’t allow me redraw my money or return it back to my cousin. This company is ruining people lives. Stay away from them by any means. The most annoying is that the Customer service is of no help they only thing the tell me is that my account is under review. How does Brex take months to review a bank account with only a single transaction history ? The only funds I received was the business loan I had my cousin send to my Brex account. Why is Brex still keeping my money? Why is Brex not returning the money back to the sense? This company will ruin your business. Stay away from them

A friend's business is collapsing
A friend's business is collapsing, you locked his account and gave him no updates about what went on. All you could say is his account poses a high risk to Brex. No vital reasons why it got closed. It started on 6th December and you asked him to wait for 120 days. After the days got due which felt on the 6th of April. You didn’t open the portal for him to withdraw his funds. Just look at how PayPal and the rest of the companies work. After due dates they give you options, he asked you and you guys decided that he can’t withdraw. You later sent an email saying that the money is getting returned to the original financial institution. He asked which of the transfer is getting returned and you said he should reach out to the other financial institutions to find out. You have to be able to tell him when the money is being returned. There should be proof of funds being returned so he can also have that down as proof of funds between him and the originator who sent the money. The money is still showing in his account and secondly, I don’t see any indication showing that the money is being Returned. So why all these lies. There should be some Vital reasons. You’re not even giving him any duration about when the other institutions are getting the funds all you can say is he should reach them out which is very bad. As a business bank. Work in a legit way for customers to see the hands work of you guys. Give him the correct reasons. Give him durations and have some proof for him to know that it’s being returned and the other bank should approximately expect it within a period of time.

Brex stepped up and apologized for their error
I had a bad experience with a member of the Brex support team and their error caused me a serious problem. After writing a review here, they reached out and called me and personally apologized plus they offered to "make it right." While I had a bad experience that caused me to distrust Brex, their quick reaction to reviewing what happened and apologizing made a big difference to me. I am giving Brex another chance because other than this one event, I do like their platform.
