Don’t go for insurance with this American company took out insurance so happens was decorating and tv had got broken phones to make a claim asked for proof of it working from dates I took out insurance and had only a picture of it a month old and wouldn’t Accept and didn’t pay out they also have hidden that you can’t claim until after 30 days of policy has been took out which I didn’t know and there is no contact number to phone them to discuss anything and I am now unsure that anything else is to happen with anything else that’s insured if they will ask for proof of it working on the day of the claim you make for anything that is broken not recommended at all very disappointing as now I have no way of fixing my tv and have reported the company as fraud as I was aware of as soon as you take out the claim your fully covered from date of payment and when you start the policy but clearly you aren’t was made out to be lying about the incident and that I should have read the terms on page 15 if I had been lying about it I would have waited for the 30days of after taking out policy and then made claim

Don't do it, they make it impossible to cancel your policy before renewal
They don't care if you are an unhappy customer, they just want their money. Buyer beware, not worth the hassle if you aren't going to stay with them for life because they will hunt down your credit card and charge you year after year, even after you respond to their renewal emails that you want to cancel. Apparently, in their fine print of terms and conditions it gives them the right to hunt down another credit card to charge. When I called to cancel they said sure, but we have to charge for 2 months prior, stating it's prorated and apparently they covered me (without my approval of course). So, after they ignored my request to cancel my renewal they said "sure, we can cancel it but we can't tell you how much we would refund you." I did the math, and they would charge me 1/4 of the amount of the total policy amount. IT'S A TRAP! Last note -- there is NO OPTION on the mobile app or website to cancel the policy. You literally have to try to talk to someone. They've hidden all the zillions of negative reviews from the internet in 2022. YOU CONSTANTLY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED WITH THIS COMPANY!

Lack integrity as a company. Go elsewhere
I’ve used this company for 3 years now. However, every time I try to add a rider for valuables, they say I am not able to because of ‘events in my area’. Trust me, there are NO events in my area. I haven’t had an issue until now, but that’s because I’ve never had a claim or a question. Now that I want something done, they are getting squirreley. My recommendation is to be very wary of this company and find another. Insurance companies are pretty scammy already, but find someone else. Not sure this company would actually cover any claims. Lacks integrity and there are a lot of bad reviews. Go elsewhere.

Easy claim process
I had to take my dog to the vet for what turned out to be gastroenteritis. She just had a consult and was prescribed medication. I submitted my claim on line same day. I didn’t haven’t a detailed report from the vet but my claim processor contacted the vet for the additional information needed. I was reimbursed per my policy coverage within 3-4 days. The process was easy and quick. It’s only my first claim but I was very happy with how everything was handled.

Traditional Insurance Companies Still Win. Sadly
Lemonade is convenient, but the service aspects have felt disappointing. We enjoy the app interface for getting things done like a new policy, but do not enjoy surprises of actually engaging with their services when needed. For example, prior to a recent claim, we were deciding on options for increasing our coverage. I made some changes to the policy and saved it to see what the price differences would be; later we removed the changes we did not want (car rental coverage), but left other changes (decreased deductible amount). Only to realize Lemonade had increased our premium because we experimented with policy changes. INSANE! the app allows you to "play" so to speak with these changes. There were no warnings about how this might affect my premium and now it is higher simply because I was exploring different coverage options after realizing we needed more coverage. We have enjoyed lemonade for the ease of use ... until we had to use it beyond the app. The process of submitting a claim start to finish, was easy and then became awful in terms of clarity, communication, and professionalism. It's been very disappointing and we are currently planning to end our coverage in the coming months! Separately - the app has pretty regular issues with the gps/location and we often got emails saying our car insurance policy would be terminated if we did not turn our gps/location back on so the app could track our driving. We always had it on. We always had to email them and ask for support on this. We never learned why it kept happening and just had to deal with the nuisance.

The only reason I am not giving a 5…
The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is because immediately following reimbursement of a claim for my dog, they bumped up my monthly rate. Which is kind of irritating. Considering I've had Lemonade for over a year now and never had a reimbursement. Just seems too convenient. Other than that, it's easy to use and the turnaround time was quick.

Lemonade has a very convenient app and fast process of enroll and claim. Staff is super nice and friendly. When my cellar was robbed, Lemonade approved my claim very quickly, even though I didn't have any official documents proving my purchase of what was stolen. I had only photos of me using it.

A breath of fresh air
I appreciate several facts about Lemonade. Integrity, follow up, responsive and respectful. All my claims and questions have been handled well, and updates provided. If there is an issue, I am emailed and told clearly what the issue is, and what I need to do or what they need to do. All changes to policies are clearly stated, and there's no hidden agenda. What a breath of fresh air!

Great claims experience after my dog got bit by a snake. She is fine now but had to stay overnight at the emergency vet hospital to receive antivenin… which cost a hefty $2900. I sent in the claim through the super easy chat based process in their app and reimbursement was direct deposited to my bank 48 hours later. Amazing

They ignore you and don't reply back
I have some issues with a claim and customer service doesn't even have the decency to respond to my questions. I have written - I think maybe 10 emails - to them now without getting as much as an answer back. I have tried calling them but keep getting in endless loops with people who cannot help me. They promised to follow up on my case but nothing happened. The only thing they have communicated to me is a price increase in my insurance policy. It has been 3-4 months like this now and I have never experienced this bad customer service before. Just ignoring me - what is seriously up with that?!

Great and efficient service when you need it the most
When my new iphone got stolen just two months after purchasing it, I was devastated - as a professional and working mom, my life relies heavily on it, and I couldn't possibly spend this much money again. Thank goodness Lemonade made is so easy to file a claim online - it took me 15 minutes. The follow up questions were sensible and precise and I was able to communicate very fluidly with my contact Wandhana. In less than a week, my claim was approved and the money is on its way to my bank account so I can replace my phone. Of course you wish never to need your insurance, but when you do, Lemonade delivers a stellar experience!

Any excuse not to cover you
Expect to pay a competitive price for insurance but to receive no real coverage. They will find any way to get out of paying for an insurance claim. I was paying for accidental glass breakage as a supplementary fee and when a window in my home broke their excuse was "it needs to be shattered". So its a great to just have insurance to show for legal purposes but dont expect any actual insurance to come out of this.

Okay rates, terrible, creepy and invasive customer service
Okay rates, terrible customer service. First time I was contacted by this company they demanded to know why I had both an apartment and home insurance with them, and my use for both. In the same email, they threatened to cancel my home insurance if I didn't send them numerous pictures of my home, not just the outside but inside, and multiple angles of my roof. Lucky I have a drone, so was able to get pictures of the roof, but this company is a joke. They claim to be 'AI powered' then you get an email from a nameless 'Michael' who threatens to not renew your home insurance unless you provide an explanation of why you would ever have an apartment and house, then the creep wants numerous pictures inside the house. I will not be renewing with this company and urge anyone that needs them beyond renters insurance to stay away. They have no customer service, no method to call, and after using them 4+ years, you will get an email threatening to not renew your house insurance unless you send pictures of numerous parts of your house, invoices weren't enough. Shame on this company, and shame on the creep 'Michael' who's opening email to me as a 4+ year customer was a list of pictures he wanted around my house, and what I used my apartment and house for. This company is a joke, and their AI claims are non-existent. Finally, the email said this was for information they never asked for when I got the policy. Just another crappy insurance company looking for a reason to cancel customers. Funny thing is they're in CA, likely why they're almost broke. I'm in NJ, the one paying their bills and claims to California.

I called lemonade to ask a question about insurance policy coverage. the claim specialist told me to submit a claim to find out the answer to my question. I did and that tainted my insurance history: none of the other insurance providers are willing to provide me a quote because I have claim history and I'm stuck with Lemonade after just asking 1 question for a few years. In an incredibly stressful situation with my dog needing emergency surgery I was able to decide to move forward without too much stress knowing that I had Pet Insurance with Lemonade - after the surgery and while he was recovering I filed the claim with Lemonade and they processed it quickly and I was always able to see at what point they were in the claim review process. Sinistre déclaré pour un bris de glace (vitre cassée) il y a 15 jours. Déclaration de sinistre prise en compte aussitôt. En plus de ça contact très patient car il fallait un devis mais tous les vitriers étaient en vacances. Du coup j’ai eu le devis jeudi 31août, et remboursement effectué le lundi 3 août. Was uns überzeugt hat war dass man den Vertrag monatlich kündigen kann, es eine App ist, transparent und die Beiträge zu einem gewissen Teil gespendet werden an eine Organisation, die man selbst auswählen kann. Wir waren natürlich etwas gespannt wie dann mal eine echte Schadensmeldung abläuft (per App). Aber nachdem uns jetzt leider durch den Hagelsturm unser Hausrat stark beschädigt wurde, konnten wir das gleich testen. Und was soll ich sagen: es war top! My cat was vomitting for several days so I took her to the ER. Apparently, since she has vomited before in her life, another time when she was sick, about a year ago, this is considered pre-existing. So basically, if your pet was ever ill in the past, it is now considered pre-existing for them to get ill again. What is the point of insurance if it actually doesn't cover illness.

My dog had a foxtail in her paw. It had been there for a while probably. I took her to urgent care. After all said and done it was a whopping bill. I paid it. I’d forgotten I had insurance and had no idea how to submit a claim. Figured out it was thru their app. Talk about easy. I had a deductible to meet so they took off for that but paid the balance by wire transfer into my checking account a few days later. Easy. No hassle.

The claims handler Jeremy really displayed compassion, care, respect, courtesy and professional processing of our claim during a very difficult ordeal. I love that I never have to think of Lemonade. That's really it. It's a very competitive cost for the insurance I get through them, I can access it super easy getting into the app, and making changes doesn't require sitting on hold for 20-30 minutes. Nope, just log into the app, tell it you're moving or you need to cancel/edit a policy or add a new one and you're done in 5-minutes.

Lemonade offers the best claims experience I have encountered. albeit note it’s 💯 online via the mobile app, it’s easy (assuming you have your vets documentation ready) and claims reimbursement is so prompt. Recommend to all dog owners

Smooth claims process so far
I've never had pet insurance before for previous pets but decided to with our new puppy. I was nervous about submitting a claim since human health insurance is such an s-show, but it was so easy! Even with some details that could be potentially confusing (animal hospital switches companies during day vs nights/weekends so multiple vets and invoices) my claim was approved within just a couple days. I provided lots of details to clear up any confusion so hopefully that helped, but was still impressed with how smooth the process was. Now hopefully my puppy grows out of the "eating everything" stage asap so I don't have to do it again anytime soon lol.

Lemonade reageerde snel op onze claim en kwam snel met een toezegging dat we de schade konden laten repareren bij de fabrikant en gelukkig niet bij een van de herstelbedrijven waar lemonade zaken mee doet. Onze bank had schade opgelopen door een derde partij en was pas een maand oud. Ook gingen ze akkoord met het betalen van de verhuislift voor het ophalen en terugbrengen van onze bank. Wat niet zo lekker liep was de communicatie met de case manager. Behalve dat de stijl van de email mij persoonlijk niet zo aanspreekt (veel emojis en standaard supervriendelijk zinnetjes die niet oprecht overkomen), werden onze vragen maar half beantwoord en moest er vaak een herinnering gestuurd worden voor de andere helft. Hoewel het uiteindelijk allemaal goed kwam, gaf het toch wat onnodige stress. Wat betreft de uitbetaling had die best vlotter gemogen. We moesten een best hoog bedrag voorschieten en pas na reparatie en inleveren van de rekening duurde het nog 4 weken voor het bedrag op de rekening stond.

Renter's Insurance
I took out renters insurance so my very expensive bicycle is covered for replacement. Lemonade says while the review of my bicycle is being completed they insure my bike for 14 days. At 15 days they have not completed the review and have dropped my bike coverage. They say they have no way to extend the coverage until the review is completed. I cancelled my policy and signed on w State Farm for less the half the cost. The company wants to communicate with an ibot or chat. When I do get to talk to a representative they are very polite. I will drop Lemonade in 2 days if they have not reviewed and accepted my bike for replacement.

Very pleased with the process and speed of resolution
I have pet insurance on my dog Howard. He is an English Bulldog puppy and in to everything. He recently ate something poisonous and spent time in urgent care and at his vets. I submitted a very easy claim to Lemonade, and had confirmation of their coverage and planned payment within 24 hours. It was really easy and really quick. Mary handled my claim and was very informative and helpful. I'm more than pleased!

Lemonade has been an absolute godsend
Lemonade has been an absolute godsend. I thought it was a little ridiculous to get pet insurance, but I really didn't want to not take my little kitten into the vet because of money. In the last 8 months, I have taken him in 6 times because of ear infections, and saved literal hundreds of dollars (around 600). He may even need to get surgery, and I couldn't consider it without Lemonade's help. The process of filing a claim could not possibly be any easier. I recommend Lemonade to all of my friends constantly, and now I'm recommending it to you.

Really easy to use and competitive rates. I got a lot of add-ons to my pet insurance. Thankfully so far i have only had to use the preventative care coverage. And I get the whole visit approved and paid back on the app, before I even get home from the vets. Makes life easier and more stress free for me. I recommend it.

Useless, Dystopian, Evil
Just as Lemonade can be balanced with plenty of sugar, ice, and provide a refreshing tangy treat on a hot day… it can also be made too sour. Or you could mess up and add salt instead of sugar. That’s what lemonade insurance served me. A salty sour mess. I opened a protection plan for my room before throwing a party. The policy went active at midnight. The party raged til dawn. In the morning I found an entire shelf of my stuff had fallen and everything on it had been damaged. Opened a report- instantly rejected because I put the date in wrong. Opened another with the correct date - special investigations unit gets involved and the person I spoke to on the phone couldn’t understand dates and times because of the verbiage of “morning” when referring to AM before Dawn. She basically gaslit me for an entire attitude filled awkward phone call and I haven’t heard back since… what am I paying for? Whatever I’m receiving is pure incompetence. As for the app, it’s glitchy, clunky, and doesn’t word things in a clear way during the claim submission process. Also the chat window ai thing that’s supposed to be relatable and hip is just cringe and unhelpful. What a waste of time and money. Now I’m reading that they use AI to racially profile people and determine fraud based on social behaviors… this is psychotic, evil, and as dystopian as it gets. Welcome to 1984.

Ma femme s'est fait volé son vélo attaché avec antivol dans un abris à vélo dans un espace privé en dehors de notre domicile. Ayant souscrit à l'option vol à l'extérieur du domicile, nous avons été couvert et indemnisé très rapidement (en moins de 24h en comptant les délais bancaires). La procédure est simple et rapide, il faut fournir dépôt de plainte et justificatifs via le téléphone. Assurance très efficace.
