So many options!
I have a 10+ year relationship with my insurance agent so reached out to him when my teenager became licensed recently and the best he could find was adding him to my policy for an extra $400 a month. I decided it couldn't hurt to call in to The Zebra and am I glad that I did! Making the assumption that every agent can find the same deals is a wrong move. The Zebra has relationships with SO many carriers that the agent who helped me, Dustin, was able to find a much cheaper policy for him. Dustin was knowledgeable and thought of things that I hadn't so by the time we were done I was confident I found the best policy. Thank you Dustin and The Zebra!

Horrible and waste of time
Horrible and waste of time ! After you put all the specific data in that they request they send you to the actual insurance sites and you have to re-enter all the information you just put in from them as not everything transfers apparently. Why collect our personal data if we just have to renter it ? My guess is they are selling our data… I would not use or recommend this “company”

Don’t bother with this site here is why
Warning, you are about to be informed but bored! As a FORMER insurance agent many moons ago, I have not had to shop for insurance for quite awhile. I said what the heck my curiosity was peaked, it’s a Saturday night, let me give this a look see. As per a number of other reviews, I answered all the questions ( not as many as I needed to ask as an agent ). Hit the button to see MY QUOTES. One company was willing to provide a quote, or so I thought, I hit the quote button, it brings me to that specific insurance carrier page, NO QUOTE anywhere in sight. Only another ENTER YOUR ZIP CODE. That is where I bailed and I’ll detail why; What I expected to see was a few actual quotes with at least ESTIMATED numbers. No extra steps. Give me some numbers and let me choose from there. Why estimated? Because they cannot possibly give you an exact quote because they do not ask all the variables specific to your situation. Which I hate to break it to you, is their hook to get you to fill out these questionnaires. EASY and QUICK, does that sound familiar and why you ended up here? So what I expected was a list with actual dollar numbers and a big disclaimer: “THESE are estimated numbers please review this quote with your XXXX insurance agent at etc. etc.” I could have lived with that. I am going to speculate why I only received one quote and it was from a well established company (no not going to mention any company names, what was back in the day and may not be true today). However that one company is the one we would happened to have referred them to for customers who did not meet stricter guidelines required for any of our other carriers. Again not a problem, we all have SPECIFIC things in our driving and life history that could have us down that path at some point. But that is the point. This site is probably best for those who just want someone else to narrow down who you should call based upon the basic questions they asked you (obviously). HOWEVER You will still end up at the same point I was but maybe you will have 2 or 5 to call. Again you will still need to do the work, to speak with each individual carrier they recommend (answer more questions) to get a ACTUAL quote SPECIFIC to your situation. I would assume the more carrier “QUOTES” you receive then probably, those basic questions fit within the “appetite” for ( read as a better risk ) for what that carrier is willing to quote on. By the way it is not as cut and dry as you think. My answers you would think would have garnered a few quote options. High credit score, no accidents, tickets, etc, driving many years, pleasure use, ….. all positive factors for most carriers would fight for ( read as LOWER RISK). (by the way different states either allow or not some questions to be allowed or not in order to rate you. You can find that info on the web). So bottom line there was something SPECIFIC to my answers that sent a red flag. I think I know which it was, and why only one carrier would quote. I know there are many more than one carrier that will write my business so if you get one quote I would urge you to looking and keep reading below. You can call any insurance company directly but yes that is the reason so many of these types of sites have popped up. OR, INSTEAD work through a local BROKER that handles multiple insurance carriers ( ask them) and will know based upon a more detailed questionnaire which carriers they represent are willing to write YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION!). In other words you will probably save time because they will ask you all the specific questions and decide from a number of carriers they represent which top two or three will work with your SPECIFIC situation. You will get an exact quote Most brokers have a number of options to work with to handle multiple situations example: high asset value customers, to situations that are high risk and everything in between. By the way many of the positive reviews I read were about how happy they were with the customer service. I can’t say for sure but unless ZEBRA is also a broker for these companies they send to you as well, then more than likely you are either speaking with the carrier direct or a broker. Which means there are good service folks in multiple locations and you are NOT, speaking with Zebra folks. But I will let them clarify that if they decide to send me a happy reply. So let me summarize with this, no it is not fun or easy to shop for insurance. It is necessary however and the reason I gave these guys a two star review first because they obviously fill a niche, who doesn’t want fast/easy. NOT complete/specific, but yes fast/easy Also as I mentioned before I wasted my time because I saw no actual numbers, they said I would receive a quote, not an introduction into the ballroom for a dance. For which I should have probably given them a one star for having to write this really long review killing more time!

Useless and duplicative
I wanted to compare auto insurance policies. I went through the whole process online--including what coverages I have, etc.-- and it spit out four "quotes," none of which actually had a dollar amount, just a "one more click" button. I had to click into each quote and redo the entire process on the individual insurer's website. Only two of the four "quotes" were recognizable brands. Zebra was a waste of time, unfortunately.

Why waste the time if you have to redo when you get to the agent
I spent an awful lot of time entering my information including information that can easily be mis used. I got a quote that I thought would be interesting through Progressive and asked to complete it. I was then asked to call Zebra...after about 3 hours of waiting I got an agent that wanted to go through all the information once again and ask me the same questions I had already answered. My impression is that I wasted my time and my information (telephone number) were simple forwarded to X agent and the upsell process began in earnest.

Not that great anymore
Not that great. They used to show you a guesstimate of what kind of quote you could expect. You save time by just doing the footwork yourself. Nowdays, Zebra just farms you out to insurance company websites where you end up filling in what you already did and then some. This is so they can harvest your data so the companies who probably pay them can harass you with phone calls and flood your email.

Great experience with the "zoo" (lol). I went on Zebra to figure out the best insurance deal. I'm just wondering if there is also a Giraffe? We don't need complicated contracts. Just the basic car stuff. Then it came up with an Elephant insurance, but no Giraffe. I had an insurance agent before and he was great for some years and offered me good options. But he missed to offer me a reasonable insurance contract this year. Maybe he's establishment now. Way too expensive! Agent Amber at Zebra was knowledgeable and helped in a very professional way. Glad I found you! I can only recommend it!

Alot of data entry to still not have insurance.
First the quick quote they give you is always low, in the end after you type in all your numbers the rate will go up and they don't clearly explain why. But ok I accepted the increased price and went to pay and in the end it was like "oops there's an error on our end" and then they give you a number to call. So tomorrow I'm going to just call my local progressive agent and do it the normal way. So the zebra got my bank card info and my address and phone number off of me but I don't have insurance.

Exceptionally long whole time not always connect to right person
I spent 25 minutes On hold switch between 4 people and then was hung up on had to call back sit through being on hold again till I finally got a person that was one day then the person I was dealing with went on vacation so I had to switch and get a different agent and then that agent didn't notify the new insurance company of my previous insurance so I had to call again to straighten that out when the new insurance told me they hadn't received it

ESURANCE INSURANCE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS My car was involved in an accident on…
My car was involved in an accident on January 27th 2022. I had covid at the time and asked my son to pick up my daughter. As he was on his way he was hit by another car from the rear and totaled my car. I contacted Esurance to start the claim process. Never heard from anyone so I figured they were working on what it was going to take to fix the car. I had access to that information on the Esurance claims section on their website. About 4 months later and 12 calls I finally heard from someone who said the car was going to be totaled. Two months later it still hadn't been taken care of so I called again and could not find the adjuster or the adjusters supervisor. I was finally paid for the car but not the deductible being that the highway patrol said it was the other driver's fault. About 3 months after that I contacted them to find out when they were going to reimburse the deductible. About 2 weeks after the one year anniversary I was asked to submit the final highway patrol report on the accident. I had submitted it from the beginning but it was a preliminary report so they weren't going to use that so I got the final one as requested. Here I am 16 months later and it still has not been paid. I am in the process of working with one of the news channels so they can investigate why it would take longer than 16 months to process a claim. DO NOT INSURE YOUR CAR WITH ESURANCE!!!! GO TO ANYONE ELSE!!!! IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN FINALIZED AND I AM STILL NOT GETTING RETURN CALLS.

I heard The Zebra from its commercials, and I knew that I needed to switch insurance companies once I received my latest policy from my current insurer. At first, I thought they couldn't find a quote lower than my existing policy, but it turned out that they did. Disappointed that initial quotes ended up being considerably higher
I was really quite disappointed in my experience. I ended up spending about 2 hours with Customer Rep Blake and was exhausted by the time I agreed to accept the amounts for Home and Auto ins policies. BOTH totals were higher than what was given as an estimate. In fact, the Homeowners insurance was MUCH higher than the original estimate. This is not a good way to operate and the explanations given for the increased amounts were not reassuring. I suspect almost everyone that goes through the initial process and receives quotes, then finds out that the actual premiums are higher than the generated initial quotes. It honestly felt on the order of a 'bait and switch' tactic. While I'm sure this will be refuted, it certainly had that feel. After the dreadfully long period of time it took with Blake to get the finalized premium amounts, I was then told I had to talk to another person. They explained that I had to do the final stages online as I talked to her on the phone. It had to be done a certain way and done on the spot. Not only was this very clumsy, but it was also very stressful. I was intent on finalizing some new policies after my previous insurer kept jacking up the rates. I will say, however, that I will be on the alert for better rates if anything happens and they keep raising the rates. I would have been very happy if the initial quotes given had been the final rates. THEY WERE NOT of course. I should add that I will not accept this review being rejected on some so-called violation. I've given my honest opinion of my experience using non objectionable language and not not given any false information.

Saved money quickly
My auto policy renewed in a fews days. So I gave the zebra a shot to compare multiple quotes quickly for my home and auto. The Zebra got me with Nationwide with an annual auto insurance savings of $752. My monthly payment went down by $70. I’ll recommend them to everyone! Give The Zebra a shot.

Bait N Switch company
As soon as you give your info your phone starts ringing off the hook and the spam email's start...... Just wanted to see some quotes online and now getting slammed with phone calls. I'm in sales and have to answer every call since I deal with clients all over the country, now have to deal with annoying calls while working with clients over the phone. Horrible!!!
So my auto insurance has been canceled since July 16th without my knowledge because they failed to push the auto payment form through, so they never took my payment 😡😡😤 and they never told me!!!! Since then I have driven from Tampa, Fl to Boston, Massachusetts to Chicago, IL, all while not even having insurance!!! They didn’t even communicate with me that the payment was missed!!! zebra.com is a joke

I moved to another state …
I moved to another state and it required my bbn old policy to be canceled and a new policy in my new state. Was on the phone for over an hour just to switch policy. Every thing was the same. Just to long to get something simple done.

Every time I get back onto this site and request a quote it comes back either higher or lower for the same quote! If I had gone with the original quote it would have been higher that the second WITH the same company! I would think that Zebra would or could offer more than 2 companies to choose from. I'm disappointed at this point.

You could be waiting a bit before talking to a representative. However once connected, the people at Zebra are very knowledgeable, and also very helpful. I was a little bit leary about using an internet service for an insurance inquiry, but it was a very positive experience.

Website is pretty much useless. Doesn’t give side by side quotes as stated. All it gives is about 2-3 companies for you to visit/call for a price. So what’s the point in that. I can just call each insurance company for a quote.

Nice website but no quotes given
The website was friendly to use and simple to input all of the information they required. After finally getting all of that in I was presented with 4 options for insurance. I thought there should have been more having a credit score near 800 and no tickets or accidents in over a decade but I figured I'd continue and see what was offered. Progressive was at the top of the list so I clicked on them and a new link opened to their site. In their site I was directed to fill out all of the exact same information that I had already filled out on the Zebra site. In the end, I never got a quote at all from Zebra and ended up going with an entirely different insurance company altogether. Thanks for nothing Zebra! Nice website though and that's why I gave you 2 stars.

Zebra is where it’s at!!!!!
I had a really good experience. The agent I had was amazing. He asked a lot of questions to make sure I got the best coverage for the least amount of damage to my wallet. I’ve never write a review for insurance but I had such a good experience that I just had to leave a review. I was on the phone for about an hour but my agent was very thorough so it was worth the extra time on the phone. Thank you all very much and I will def be referring my family and friends. Zebra is where it’s at!!!!!

Got the best service. They asked questions to make sure I got the best coverage and great price. Very patient and friendly. Not only did I get great car insurance but talked with another agent and got a whole life insurance policy with the best price I have found. It was a good day!.

Unfortunately, I gave my email address to them then mysteriously received unsolicited car insurance spam emails from other companies within 2 hours. Quotes looked reasonable though, I suggest using fake email address until you are sure.

Dreadful Experience
This site purports to provide you with quotes for insurance. I filled out all requisite information and received no quote. It told me I needed to call to speak with a representative. Upon calling Zebra’s automated system sent me to some company whose name was never clearly annunciated by any of the three employees I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. They proceeded to tell me they know nothing about the Zebra website and they have zero information to access the alleged quotes that I can’t see. So I filled out all the information only to have to repeat it again to a so-called agent of a totally different company. I would have never given them any of my private information if I had known I would be shuffled off to only the gods know where. Horrible experience all around.
