Application Process

Assurance is an online-first insurer that leverages technology to match you with a home insurance policy. The company has an in-house AI-powered algorithm that generates quotes based on data. All you have to do is answer a few questions online about your address and credit score, and Assurance will generate a quote from that. If you’re happy with the quote, you can complete the process online - unlike other insurance providers, Assurance doesn’t force you to talk with an insurance agent. 

That said, if you do want help determining what policy you need, Assurance offers it. You can call anytime to request a one-on-one consultation with an insurance agent and get advice about your home insurance quotes. 

Once you’ve submitted the questionnaire, Assurance will display quotes for your policy options instantly. In many states, you can purchase online without having to talk to an agent. You can also call to find out more about your different quote options from an insurance consultant.

One thing to note is that online applications are not yet available in some states. If this is the case in your state, you will have to call an Assurance insurance agent in order to get a quote and purchase home insurance.

Discounts

Assurance offers a discount of up to 20% when you bundle your home insurance policy with an auto insurance policy. The exact discount will vary based on the auto policy you choose.

Horrible Customer service
Horrible Customer service. An totally incompetent agent put me on hold without telling me why and then sent me to the message box of someone(whom I assumed was my claim adjustor). The agent would not identify herself and did not send me the adjustor's name. I had to call back and waisted 20 minutes trying to get a supervisor. Total disaster- can't wait to find out how my claim is adjusted.

This company is awful!!! Me and my husband worked here for almost two years, I quit because of how disorganized, micromanaging and discouraging they had become they are scammers and BULLIES who use scare tactics and unobtainable numbers to keep you on your toes and constantly in fear of being fired. they have hands down been the most awful company I have been with. They changed the way numbers are calculated a few months ago and my husband (who had a 38-46% transfer rate the ENTIRE time he has worked there, and won numerous transfer and policy competitions because of how good his numbers used to be before they changed everything. All of us were constantly scared for our jobs after the change (when I left 80% of my team members had lower numbers then required after I asked around HOW is that an “obtainable” number when most of your team are not meeting the new KPI?).. he caught them miscalculating his numbers several times to the point where it was a whole few % off and he would get in trouble constantly for his numbers even though they failed to calculate it correctly. They fired him today for numbers a week after Christmas AFTER he just won another contest for having the MOST transfers in a day and got a 200$ bonus, guess they won’t have to pay that out now.. very convenient. And NO it was not the “outside contract” that made this job awful it was ASSURANCE! I worked for this company for almost two years and they could never take accountability for anything even when y’all fired people because YOUR system would mess up. Even now your not even taking accountability, figures.

AVOID Assurance. It's a scam
So this company apparently gets at least half of their leads from things like ads for entries (where you have to complete a quote to get the entries) because I vaguely remember going halfway through one before I realized it was bogus. This was MONTHS ago. I just got a call from a woman named Erika, who I've already spoken to, and rejected TWICE in the past 2 weeks, and I was TRYING to explain I have a combo home and auto through a different carrier already and was only paying $60/month with them. Before I could even FINISH she hung up on me. Again. Don't even try with these people. They're marked as spam anyways.

This company is so desperate that they are harvesting names and addresses from state vehicle registration records. Today, they sent junk mail to my home, and I have filed a complaint against them. I consider this method of obtaining people's names and addresses and this sort of contact to be beneath contempt. I do not recommend any company that operates in this manner. This constitutes both an invasion of my privacy; harassment; and, making me vulnerable to identity theft should the junk mail with my correct spelt name fall into the hands of criminals. This is not only an outdated method of marketing, it is also dangerous.
