Application Process

Assurance is an online-first insurer that leverages technology to match you with a home insurance policy. The company has an in-house AI-powered algorithm that generates quotes based on data. The platform uses basic information about you, such as your age and credit score, as well as publicly available information about your home in order to offer policy options.

All you have to do is answer a few questions online about your address and credit score, and Assurance will generate a quote from that. If you’re happy with the quote, you can complete the process online - unlike other insurance providers, Assurance doesn’t force you to talk with an insurance agent. 

That said, if you do want help determining what policy you need, Assurance offers it. You can call anytime to request a one-on-one consultation with an insurance agent and get advice about your home insurance quotes. 

Once you’ve submitted the questionnaire, Assurance will display quotes for your policy options instantly. In many states, you can purchase online without having to talk to an agent. You can also call to find out more about your different quote options from an insurance consultant.

One thing to note is that online applications are not yet available in some states. If this is the case in your state, you will have to call an Assurance insurance agent in order to get a quote and purchase home insurance.

Discounts

Assurance offers a discount of up to 20% when you bundle your home insurance policy with an auto insurance policy. The exact discount will vary based on the auto policy you choose.

She was able to collect some info, do a vast search for me & get me an approval on a solid policy w/ Prudential.     AVOID Assurance. It's a scam

    So this company apparently gets at least half of their leads from things like ads for entries (where you have to complete a quote to get the entries) because I vaguely remember going halfway through one before I realized it was bogus. This was MONTHS ago. I just got a call from a woman named Erika, who I've already spoken to, and rejected TWICE in the past 2 weeks, and I was TRYING to explain I have a combo home and auto through a different carrier already and was only paying $60/month with them. Before I could even FINISH she hung up on me. Again. Don't even try with these people. They're marked as spam anyways.

Today, they sent junk mail to my home, and I have filed a complaint against them. I consider this method of obtaining people's names and addresses and this sort of contact to be beneath contempt.     We received a cold call from a representative to purchase insurance for our washing machine. To ensure this was not a scam, we requested an email from the Company before making payment. After receiving the email the Rep contacted us, and when we advised him we currently had a policy lasting until December 2024 he became verbally aggressive, complaining he was getting paid by the hour. I have been called from this company to the point of harassment. I was yelled at by a man named Jeremy who claimed to be the supervisor. I have blocked numbers and they call from a new number.     Gay Glenn is my superhero. The world of life insurance can be daunting & overwhelming. Gay took the time to explain the ife insurance policy to me, giving me detailed information throughout. She frequently checked to make sure that I understood and to ask if I had questions. I live on a fixed income and am not able to afford hundreds of thousands of insurance. Some insurance agents lose interest with the smaller policies. Gay did not. She is not an "agent." She was the partner I needed to ensure my needs were taken care of. Thank you so much Gay. All requests are subject to company guidelines and restrictions. Your email has been received and it will be reviewed within 5 to 7 business days. If your email is in reference to changes to your policy, an amended declarations page will follow by mail or email to the address(es) on file.     Jeremy unprofessionally compromised customer's private information

    I received multiple calls intended for a certain customer (whom I've never heard of). I explained to the first three agents that they had the wrong number. They apologized and courteously hung up. Then Jeremy called and didn't even verify whether I was the customer or not, and hastily began to share the customer's personal information. I tried to tell him he had the wrong number, but he grew angry and demanded to know whether I lived in such and such place and whether the customer still lived there. I said, Sir, you have the wrong number. I don't know this person, I've never heard of this person. Before I could say all that, he hung up. No apology, no "have a nice day". Jeremy was extremely rude and unprofessional. My main concern, however, is that he compromised the privacy and security of one of his customers. I hope the matter is handled speedily for the sake of those who depend on Assurance to help take care of them and their families.

    Wont pay for water damage unless you know the exact date that the leek started, not when noticed. If you have to make a claim for water damage tell them it happened 2 days before you file or they will screw you!!

    Assurance keeps calling me over and over and may have sold my information.

    Assurance Insurance has called me over a hundred times in the last month from different numbers each time--I have asked repeatedly for their robot "Alex" to quit calling me, but it keeps on calling sometimes 10 times a day. I feel that they may have sold my name and number to other scammers. I have talked to about 15 agents from Mutual of Omaha and Select Quote who are referred by the robot, and they are nice and have tried to get my name off the calling list. I work nights and haven't had much sleep in a month because they call so much. Please do not use Assurance because they are abusive and will call over and over and over even though you have asked them to stop multiple times. I would never ever use Mutual of Omaha or Select Quote because they use the Assurance robot. Please beware of giving Assurance your name and number.
