It also offers 24/7 customer service. Getting a quote online with AAA takes just a few minutes. All in all, we were impressed with how easy it was to use AAA and by their multiple coverage options.

Suitable For?

If you already use AAA for auto insurance, it makes sense to bundle and save with AAA home insurance. AAA home insurance could also be a smart choice if you’re hoping to manage your policy and claims online, but being tech-savvy isn’t a requirement as AAA also offers phone assistance.

If you recently renovated your home to be more weather resistant, AAA offers discounts that can help you save on home insurance. Because AAA requires membership for coverage, if you choose AAA home insurance that also means you can benefit from a range of travel discounts from hotels, car rental companies and airlines, as well as travel accident insurance.

What Coverage Includes

Coverage through the AAA umbrella is actually provided by a variety of insurers. Likewise, AAA itself is not a single entity, but a federation of motor clubs offering automotive services like insurance and roadside assistance. As a result, coverage varies from county to county and from state to state. In general, however, you can expect to see the following coverage: 

  • Main dwelling: This covers damages to the physical structure of your home from natural causes, like fire or wind, or events caused by people, like theft or vandalism. 
  • Personal property: This includes appliances and furniture — the exact details of what’s covered  and where liability limits lie will depend on your policy.
  • Other structures: These include other permanently installed, detached structures on your property, like a separate garage, shed, or gazebo. Your policy may also cover, for example, fences or docks. 
  • Living expenses: Also called temporary housing protection. If, because of an event covered in your policy, you are no longer able to inhabit your home, you may be reimbursed for temporary housing and storage. 

Additional Coverage

Depending on your region and policy, you may also be eligible for an array of additional coverage options. While the above coverage is typically included in all policies, those listed below may or may not be offered, and if they are, they are usually optional. 

  • Jewelry and valuables: These can vary widely between regions, but your coverage may include small items of value, like jewelry and watches.
  • Personal liability: Personal liability protection comes into play when you’re found responsible for damages or losses to another person’s body or property. 
  • Medical payments for others: If your policy includes this clause, you can be reimbursed for medical expenses and payments if somebody gets injured on your property.

Application Process

There are three ways to apply for AAA insurance: online, by telephone, and in-person. The quickest and simplest method for most people will be applying online. You’ll need to visit your region’s AAA site (they vary by state) and fill out an online form. Some regions may not be eligible for an online quote, but this is rare. 

To expedite the quote process, AAA may collect information from third party providers, like consumer reporting agencies, driving records, claims and credit history. The online questionnaire is quick and straightforward, and only took us a few minutes to get through. We got our quote directly online , without having to have an additional email or phone call with an insurance agent. 

Discounts

One advantage to signing up with AAA Home Insurance is that there are discounts available. First, you can save over 20% on your home insurance by combining additional insurance policies, like auto insurance. There’s also discounts for policyholders who have been with the AAA (or an affiliate) for longer than one year, and for persons aged 55 or older and who are retired. 

Based on the state of your home, you may be eligible for a numbers of discounts: if you haven’t filed any claims in the past three years, if your home is outfitted with a protective device (e.g., fire or burglar alarm), if your home was built recently, if your roof is resistant to hail, or if it’s been recently renovated. 

How Safe is it?

AAA is a large, well-known, national brand, founded more than 115 years ago. It has more than 60 million members in the USA and Canada, and is well known for its road-side assistance, auto insurance, and AAA travel ratings.  The Home Insurance branch of AAA has an A+ rating from AM Best.

Claims & Customer Support

Customer service is available 24/7; you can use the same AAA hotline for your club area as you would for assistance. You can use customer service to file a claim, or simply log onto your account on your state’s AAA website and file your claim online. Make sure you hold onto the claim tracking number, so you can check its status and easily communicate with customer service as you move forward. 

Summary

AAA is an obvious choice for members of the auto club, but if you’re not a AAA member, that shouldn’t necessarily stop you either. There are plenty of discounts here, according to your home and personal situation. AAA is well-known and has a high AM Best rating. The application process is straightforward, and you can manage your policy entirely online if you so desire.

    A great company NO MORE

    Used to be a great company. NO MORE! Wait for hours for a tow is what happens now. In the mean time, while waiting, I got I'm sorry and they'll be there in 30 minutes, 90 minutes two and a half hours and after 5 hours someone shows up. I was a customer for over 20 years but no more. If I was paid minimum wage it still would have been cheaper for me to call a local tow. The management should be fired

    A nightmare. What happened to Triple A?

    Well, the roadside assistance was a nightmare. It is July 6, I called at just before noon. I ended up after three and a half hours calling Geico, which arrived in another 45 minutes. In the time that was promised the man never showed up. It was supposed to be 1:30 and that was after calling AAA at noon. I kept looking at that tracking map and the icon never moved. It just said dispatched, but never moved. I kept calling the Triple A people who contact the roadside help, spoke to three and then finally after they said they were getting another roadside company, the nasty guy with "Pete's Mobile" the original company shows up -- with an attitude. He was rude, arrogant and didn't want to try to put air in my tire. He said he had other customers and left. I think it is a matter of these people want the calls that pay more, such as towing a car. I was on the phone for another hour and the people I spoke to said, "oh we are waiting and trying to find another company we'll call and will let you know." I waited another 30 minutes then called Geico. Geico's roadside came in 45 minutes, and the tire repair took 5. I think my comment about writing the CEO prompted the triple A people to call another company, but it was too late. I needed to get to the tire shop before they closed. What a nightmare. I remember when Triple A roadside assistance people were so courteous and helpful. Gone are those days. I better not have this call count on my list. Bad enough that company didn't have a working phone or competent help but to be so rude.

    I have been a AAA member off and on for over 30 years. I love the benefits they offer. It has only been the last three months that my trust in AAA has decreased tremendously. Today I called for roadside service just to be told my membership had expired in May. I just recently received a letter in the mail reminding me to renew. I also recently used AAA in June of this year without any problems! I paid $5.00 for the automatic renewal. I have my husband and 7 Children on my membership, have referred many family members and friends who are still members today. So today, in order to get my car towed, I have to pay the renewal fee (which is fine) but also a tow fee of $65.00! Where is the loyalty and customer satisfaction here? When I brought this up to the representative over the phone today, she didn't acknowledge any of it. Just wow. Not good customer service at all AAA! 😕

    If only I could rate 0

    If only I could rate 0. I placed a service call to have my car towed yesterday 7/5 around 12. I was told they would be there by 4:17pm for the window. It wasn’t until 24 hours later when I called them for like the 8th time that someone told me why it was taking so long. They were supposed to update me and I am still waiting on that tow truck. Mind you, triple A is unaware that my car could be towed off the lot it is on and sent to impound. They are also unaware that I am unable to pay out of pocket for anything else at the moment. They shouldn’t have to be aware of something like that to do their job in a timely fashion or COMMUNICATE so I can find some alternatives about what to do! This isn’t the first time either hence the energy to write this long ass review. In June I made another tow request at about 11pm. I was stuck on the highway with an overheating car. I was told 1:23 am ish for a tow truck. Ok I get it’s after hours. But I didn’t receive any updates until 3:38am. The tow truck didn’t show until 9am and I was lucky enough to have a few Officers help me home but service like that is unacceptable. I called 3 separate times today 7/6: one representative hung up on me, one didn’t follow through on communication as specified, and another transferred me without finding the information he stated he would. Another side note is I do not disrespect or yell at these people. I know it isn’t their fault. So all of this back and forth is absolute nonsense.

    Very Disappointed with AAA

    I've just had an AWFUL experience with AAA roadside services,I've been waiting almost 24hrs for assistance in picking up my car and I just keep getting the runaround from representive to representive and no service yet I've been a loyal and paying customer for almost 20yrs and when I finally needed the service AAA couldn't provide it to me at my time of need I thought they were a better company than what they have shown me, waiting over 18hrs with no assistance and nothing but excuses is ridiculous to me not good business it's like I'm throwing my hard earned money away if no service is provided, I finally had to do alot of calling around myself to find someone to help me get my car off the side of the interstate, which I shouldn't have had to do and more money out of my pocket hard as times are now, I will not be renewing with AAA when my contract expires I've been given them my money for nothing I see now as long as you're giving companies your money they are fine but when you need their services they don't come through for you like they suppose to, do your research 1st I thought I had, VERY DISAPPOINTED

    What am I paying for if I receive horrible service and absolutely no help when I call?

    After my AAA driver called me and argued with me about my location before he even left his garage he called me annoyed that he was in the wrong place, twice, off campus, even though I told him my address that’s on campus multiple times and after he repeated it back to me said “that could take me anywhere on campus”. He then proceeded to be rude the entire encounter and somehow I had a special cover over the lug nut on my tire I needed taken off. I told him to break it off to get the lug nut off because I didn’t know how it got on there in the first place, especially when that was the only tire that had it. All I needed was the tire take off so I could go get a new one put on the rim, who would want to steal a blown out tire? He refused and he picked up his things and left. He didn’t say a word. It’s not the fact that he says he couldn’t take the tire off that upset me. If he would’ve explained that it’s in the policy or something not to break anything I would’ve understood, but he said nothing. What is shocking to me is the fact that I was begging him to just break the cap off to get to the lug nut because if he didn’t I didn’t have any other options and I was stuck. He didn’t offer to tow me to a nearby shop that could help me. He picked up his tools without saying a word, got in his truck, drove away and left me in the same exact position I called them in. I have proof in my car that my car is on the AAA plan. So what am I even paying for if this is the service I get?

    11 plus after after and I'm still stranded "we don't have anyone available"

    We have AAAplus vall made at 3pm for a tow its now 12:27am. They are still telling me they can't find someone to tow my car to my home and that I'm welcome to find my own tow. I've had them for 14 years and I will do whatever it takes to spread the word. SEVERAL ppl have came forward with the same experience just this year...2-3hr max I understand as everyone is shorthanded but this is ridiculous...     AAA IM SURPRISED THEY DONT HAVE A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. My father has been with AAA for yearssss, he canceled his policy and they called bugging him to get it back so he does. After today he regretted it. My father traveling from SC to GA gets to Savannah GA at 11:00am. His tired goes out and he calls who he felt or thought was a reliable company AAA. When the service tech arrives he tells my dad that he’s parked in an unsafe place and have my father move his car with a flat tire that was off of the rim. Then the guy tells him after seeing the tires that because he has 20inch again 20inch rims that he couldn’t do it because my dads policy doesn’t allow for them to change tires with rims. Ok, they knew he had rims why have him get the policy they doesn’t cover tire changes with rims. So the guy told them he needed a tow to a tire shop. Well hours later after my dad had been waiting now 4pm. That an ETA had been put in and they were still waiting. At this point my dad could have called a tow to make it to a tire shop in time. They gave us the run around after calling so many times. Spoke with rude and some polite reps. Even a sup who didn’t even know their policy didn’t include changing tires with rims. Came back to the call saying she learned something new and that she was told yes, that was in the policy but they will send someone to now tow him back to SC. Policy says his tow covers 100 miles to tow. Well that’s a lie my dad since 11am now waits in the hot car. No food, thank God he has drinks/water. Is still stranded at 2:35 am. Called them back a lady told us. Ma’am no one is coming his service ticket was canceled twice and that it’s the 4th weekend holiday. Their busy and no wants to drive with someone in the car for hours due to Covid. So now he waits. Terrible world wide company you would expect better service.

    I have just waited 3 hours on the side…

    I have just waited 3 hours on the side of interstate for a tow truck driver. I have a child in the vehicle. I have payed for the highest membership for years. After giving my vehicle information and waiting for 3 hours the driver finally arrived and notified me they don't have the proper truck to tow me. So I'm stranded on the side of interstate. I called the customer service number back and the lady told me to wait until business hours and they may be able to find me a tow truck. It is currently midnight on Friday and Monday is a holiday. So I'm strained with a child on side of interstate for 3 days minimum and they may be able to find me a tow that I pay for.

    AAA IS A SCAM. AFTER 27 YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP I’M OUT

    Where can I start!!! My car stalled in the middle of the road. Called AAA at 9:45 pm. They said that their provider would call us with an ETA. He never called. I called multiple times requesting ETA. They keep giving me in 45 minutes will be there, and 30 minutes will be there. But no one showed up. It was 1:30 in the morning of the next day and I finally called it quits. My wife and I pushed the car into a parking space and left it there overnight. Next day after work I go back there and call AAA again. It was 3 in the afternoon. They gave me an ETA of 45 minutes. An hour passed but no one came. I called AAA again and they said that someone should be there within the hour. I called a third time and they said The provider will be there in 45 minutes. An hour passed And no one showed up. I called AAA and told him to cancel the service. After three hours of waiting. I called my mechanic friend who came right over and fixed the problem. My mechanic friend said AAA is not what it used to be. It’s junk, I would not pay for that service at all. I called customer service to complain about this failure of service. I asked to speak with a manager. Waited 20 minutes no manager. I think I’m going to get my money back from AAA. These providers are scammers. Tow truck drivers that pick and choose who they want to help. And they have no accountability. AAA do not penalize them for their failures. They did not provide any services to me. It’s the only time that I’ve called them in three years and this is how they pay a faithful customer. I want my money back. I think I will go to Good Samaritan roadside services. 😡😡😡😡😡

    Horrible member serrvice

    We have been AAA members for 25 years. The experience we've had over the past two days with trying to get a simple tow for our son who is stranded in Culver City has been nothing short of horrific. He waited 4 hours for a tow last night that never came. He has been trying repeatedly again today to get a truck to tow him. He's given a service window, leaves work to meet the truck but it never shows. A new service window is given, he leaves work again but now there is no truck available. Why the bother giving him an ETA when there is no truck coming? I have never experienced such a completely inept level of service and disregard for customer service. A long-time membership doesn't mean anything to this company. We will be cancelling our membership and doing everything in our power to convince all of our friends and family that have a AAA membership to do the same. Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating allowed.

Long delay answering calls, providers who pick up their job orders decline them (huge problem now that AAA relies on other companies to do their work) And they try to sell you other services they provide?     AAA should've stayed with roadside assistance alone, awesome roadside service, horrid insurance company that doesn't know the difference between their pocket and a hole on the ground. I'd say run from their insurance. Nothing but stress, calls and people that don't what they're talking about and are unable to manage their money or bills. Just got an add on my account in July of 2022, for a "supposed" missed payment last November of 2021. I was not aware that a payment hadn't gone through, no one has informed me of any of this the last 8 or 9 calls since my policy started. And yes, you will probably be calling just as much as I have or more. It's like they miss their customers or must be lonely, so their bills are their toxic way of accessing you.

    AAA gets a FFF! They kept me waiting for six hours for a tow. And when I called customer service I was told there was still no eta for the arrival of the driver. This company needs to close its doors. I predict massive membership cancellations on the horizon!

    If I could give a negative number

    If I could give a negative number, it would be -100. I bought this for my granddaughter who went off to college and wanted her to be taken care of away from home. The ONE time she called broke down she called gave her info. Nobody came. Returned call and learned the towtruck was on its way to Houston and could not come. Customer service NEVER called another company to help. She was finally helped by her Roadside Assistance provided by Geico. Cancelling this trash service!

    The tow reimbursement process is a hassle!

    I was having problems with my car last autumn. It was driveable but I didn't feel comfortable risking it, so I got a tow from the shop where I was to have ot fixed. Well, they didn't really fix it but I still had to pay $400+ but anyway, my issue with AAA is the ridiculously complicated BS they make you go through to get reinbursed for a tow! They needed all this additional info that the invoice the tow truck driver filled out. I had to fill a PDF form out on my phone (not easy but I managed) and send it to them with a copy of the receipt attached. After a while I get an email back telling me they needed more info and what said info was. I tried to remedy the situation by writing said details and circling those present on the invoice which were itemized. Still not good enough, not that I was ever written back; I had to call and ask about it, which I did, last week. And now I may be screwed since that was so long ago and the rep on the phone told me I had to request a more detailed invoice from the auto shop, go to the AAA website and find the form to fill out for tow reimbursement, where there apparently exists an option to attach the file. This is A LOT MORE WORK than anticipated, or I would've just driven the damn thing myself. My auto insurance has an option to include basic roadside assistance for a little more $ and I'm paying $55 a year for something I barely need...and when I DO need it, it's not there for me. Thanks for being so helpful, AAA. I wish I'd seen how many 1 star reviews they have before signing up a few years back.

    Best towing experience I have ever experienced! Faheem Akhtar from AK Towing assisted me when I got into an accident 4 hours away from home. He arrived very fast to the site to get the car and myself to my destination which was close to 200 miles. I rode with him for close to 4 hours and had a pleasant conversation. He was very respectful and kind. He made me feel at ease with the situation which was much appreciated. Thank you for such reliability and great customer service!

    I love paying for a product and being told me doesn't exist by under informed employees.

    I have had it wilmth aaa. I have been waiting fir a jumostart since 2pm and now its 1am. I have called in six times every time I'm promised a vehicle and they never show up. The last three times I have called back to back after waiting over 20 minutes on hold they hang up on me. Be called prior to that though I was told they do not jump motorcycles. This is false your website States that you jumped motorcycles I have the top level membership along with the top-level motorcycle membership and have been a member for many many years. I'm being told no you must have it towed. I am half a mile away from my house I saved those toes for when I have a major emergency. The problem seems to be systemic. The employee I dealt with looked up motorcycle membership benefits did not see jumps and refused. Problem with that is she missed the portion that says along with all regular benefits when one types and regular benefits jumps her portion of this and the website clearly states motorcycles are allowed anyway. This comes down to training and etiquette. It's always embarrassing when you fight for a fact that is incorrect. There's no argument it's in writing. Cell looks like I'm going to have to push this dead motorcycle at 1 a.m. for a mile or so down streets with no lights. Thank you Triple A

    Terrible Service

    Switched to AAA Insurance because of excellent rates. About two weeks after changing I received a cancel notice because the said I did not say my daughter lived with me. My daughter has not lived with me for over ten years but was on my auto club membership. I contacted by agent Chris who stated if I bought a membership for her everything would be fine. About three days later I received a refund check from AAA for cancelling my policy. Again I contacted my agent and he said the paperwork just got crossed up and my policy was still good. About three weeks before my policy expired I contacted them and asked why I had not received a renewal notice. I was told that my policy had been cancelled four months ago. No one from AAA ever contacted me and I had been driving without insurance. I got a new policy from my old company but had to pay a higher rate because I had a lapse in insurance, Thanks AAA

    Wait 16 hours for a tow

    My car cut off on the freeway, I was almost off the exit. I called at 3:34 pm and was told it was going to take up until 5 o clock to get a tow. I waited there in my car as cars were flying by, and I started to have anxiety. I called again to see if someone was coming, was on hold for 36 minutes, which was weird because my approximate wait time was said to be 15. I called someone to come get me off of the freeway, wasting their my money again to give them gas money because of how high the gas prices are. I waited until 8 to call again. Could not get through. My mother works there during the day so I called to see a better way to get through but she said that many people had been calling in saying the same thing when she was at work that the hold times were longer and the calls weren’t going through and that it was nothing they could do as of rn. I said okay, and waited until 11 to call. Im so glad someone came to get me because I would’ve been in that car on the freeway for about 8 hours. I called again, waited 15, someone answered and said please hold then hung up. So now, I’m pissed off, needed to be to work at 7 so I asked the same person to come and get me to take me to the car, giving them more gas money. I used their car to dangerously flip it around on the freeway to jump my car because now i’m desperate. After 30 minutes of trying, I said forget it and went home again, and it was around 12:48 am. I called in again, and someone told me that I can either wait, or request another tow from another company and submit the bill in to possible get reimbursed. What do I have triple A for to go with another company? Why the hell would I do that at 1 in the morning when I placed a service call at 3 in the evening before? I went to bed stressed because the inflation of this damn nation, rent was just paid, gas is high as hell and I had to fill someone’s tank twice because of it. She also told me to leave the key in the car, I told her I have no way of getting back to the car and It’s 1 am! She said is the car unlocked, I said the passenger door she said that’s fine as long as they can access it. I woke at 6 am to 4 missed calls saying that my car is ready to be towed. Got a called from the “tow guy” who said they were 5 minutes from the car and it’s no way they can tow without a key. Jumped up called an uber to go drop the key off, got a text from “696 and gratiot” at 6:37 saying they arrived. got a call at 6:38! saying that they left because he was waiting 5 minutes. I just got off the phone from the guy saying i’m only 3 minutes from the freeway and you said you were 5 minutes away. My uber got there quick, I was already on my way when they said the “tow guy” left. I explained to her he was not there for 5 minutes he literally just called and told me he was 5 minutes away. We were to arrive at the car the same time so how could he leave that quick. She told me “Well there’s nothing I could, I’ll have to call him” I had to wait for her to call me back to tell me “yeah he’s already on another call, you’re going to have to place another request and he’ll come back” I called him 4 times before she even called back and he didn’t answer the first time and sent it to voicemail the other three. I was livid at the point because my car has been sitting there for 15 hours, I keep coming out of money and you just gonna up in leave because you so called waited “5 minutes”. So I had to call in to place ANOTHER service call, and was told I had to wait another hour. Had to be to work at 7, it’s 7:10. I already have to uber to work after I just called an uber to the damn car to leave the key there. Im On my way back home in the uber just to receive ANOTHER call saying they’ll be there in 10 minutes. I said WOW. The key there and I no longer care anymore, Im getting ready for work. I expressed my concern, told the lady all that happened, and I believe I only get 4 service calls a year and two were used in a day? Lol y’all are funny. Not funny “aha” but funny “weird”. Same “tow guy” called asking where does he need to put the to car? Like what? Where does the address say sir ? I said just put in in the complex and in the parking lot in front of the door of the address I gave. I tried being respectful and patient and kind in the beginning but that was just some bs. Then the tow company “696 and gratiot” called apologizing, after they were sounding completely insincere the whole damn time. I know everyone has their job to do, but I’ve been in customer service since I was 15. Im 22. There’s NO WAY y’all could be that damn careless and nonchalant to the point you can’t even ACT like you’re sympathetic. I called an uber to work and still couldn’t work because I was late and the job I do, they are strict. Called another uber home, mad the whole damn day. and still gotta come out of pocket for a freaking battery. Y’all really struck a nerve. I was pissed and so was my damn pockets. Made me wanna cancel the whole membership. Just ridiculous.

    Theft By Deception: in AAA advertising they don’t say, we”ll try, possibly later, maybe or if we find a driver. But that’s their lip service when your stuck, in trouble stranded out on the road when you call them for help. They have call centers full of people to chase you for membership renewal and take your money, ask them to deliver what they advertise and your out of luck and on your own. Last year they left me stranded on the highway over night. Yesterday I called them five time and each time “we’ll have someone there in an hour and a half”. No one ever called or showed up. Today I called twice - same crap. I’m suing them soon. Last years tow charge I paid out of pocket, this years tow charge I just paid today, two years of membership, plus attorneys fees with interest. I’m going to post my experiences everywhere I can on line. “DONT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY WITH AAA”. That’s my battle cry!

    Stranded by a flat tire on an interstate. Very dangerous situation. Unbelievably horrible AAA communication system via iphone. No one to talk to, just endless iphone crap and texts. Really bad...their owners obviously have never used their "services" or this nonsense would end. Their recommended tire store help was 45 miles away. Called 911 and state police lined up a local shop 5 miles away. Awesome police service and tire store response. Back on the road in 1 1/2 hours, absolutely no thanks to AAA. Will cancel at earliest opportunity.

He couldn't do anything to help then they tried charging $90.00 for that service .Well and did not pay for hem for some sorry service another lady got kicked off triple a cause triple a said she call them way to much .     The worst service We ever had. Called 12:15pm and they put it as priority and then they said should be 30 minutes to 1 hour. Been waiting and no one showing up and received message saying he’s there but no one came. Called back after 2 and half hours they said we have to put a new request and should be there in 15 or 20 minutes and no one shows up till 4:30 am called again keep saying 15 to 20 minutes the driver should be there and when we ask if this how they handle their cases they said the company works for them didn’t tell them anything. This’s actually ridiculous and you guys should closed it and I’ll report all of you and complain about it. I was talking with the supervisor and telling her if this safety for my daughter to sit in the street for over 5 hours she said I don’t know what to tell you and me either don’t know what to tell you about this ridiculous service and will report all of you everywhere.

    The worst.I’m outraged

    The worst.. called for a tow at 8:30 was given a window of 2 hours after 2 1/2 hrs called to follow up and was put on hold for 40 minutes.!!. Finally was told the eta for tow truck was 10 minutes. Problem is , it was already after midnight. We were on the way to drop off 3 kids 11, 8 and 2 and go celebrate anniversary. 🖤😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬 going to look for another service

    Total lack of response by AAA in 105 degree heat

    Drove to the Farmer's market in Immokalee Florida , over 120 miles from my house, ...it was 104 degrees and my battery died,, called AAA at 1PM .. at 2, someone called and told me the work order was recieved .. car in the sun with doors open. .. at 4pm .a wonderful man jumped the car and would not take a tip for his kind gesture . *** Immokalle is about 20 minutes from Fort Meyers, yet they could not find anyone. left there , drove to the first town and purchased a new battery/ THE NEXT day at 10 am , I get a call at home asking if still need road side assistence ,, I requested to file a compliant and they gave me a # ,,, It is now Friday, five days later , nothing from them just got off the phone with a representative he explained that they got thte compaint but they don't do anything !! I persisted and they gave me next year for free.. told me he as going to send it in writing to me. i shall follow it up to make certain

    I have the AAA Premier plan with 200…

    I have the AAA Premier plan with 200 miles of towing. Vehicle developed a fuel leak so I contacted AAA to be towed to my mechanics shop 75 miles away because my vehicle was under warranty for work done to the motor. Called AAA and got someone not based in U.S. and they said they would contact a provider. After 2 plus hours they contacted me and did not have a provider to tow my vehicle. My vehicle had equipment on it used for work so I had to call a friend to come with his truck and trailer to off load my equipment and drive 2 hours to my house to unload. Night one vehicle sits in shopping center parking lot. The next morning I contact AAA again and this time get a U.S. based representative. AAA confirms a 1 hour window to have my vehicle picked up and towed to my mechanic. I drive 2 hours back to my vehicle to meet the tow truck. 30 minutes after the beginning of the 1 hour window tow truck hasn't arrived so I contacted AAA for the status of the tow truck. So again I am told they did not have a provider to tow my vehicle. I found a towing service that would tow my vehicle so I contacted AAA to authorize the towing service I found to tow my vehicle. AAA would not authorize the towing service I found since the were not a AAA provider. So I paid the towing service to take my vehicle to my mechanic. It has been 4 days and AAA has not bothered to contact me about my vehicle. Bottom line is AAA has lost a long time customer due to their lack of being able to fulfill an obligation I paid extra money for, So my advice is find another provider AAA doesn't honor services they say they provide and have no interest in the safety of their customers.

    I never use auto payment because companies have a tendency to abuse the privilege. I always mail my check to AAA for renewal. Well someone at AAA checked the auto renewal box on my year ago payment thinking I wouldn't notice. (Probably company policy) Then AAA deducts the amount directly from my bank account over one month prior to the renewal. I immediately requested a refund and got a confirmation #. 6 days later still no refund. I call and find out they make you wait 10 days to refund the money they steal from your bank account instantaneously. I don't know how many customers they do this to but by deducting dues over a month prior to the due date AAA gets the unwarranted use of your money for over a month which amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars they can use to increase their profits at your expense. This is a disgusting and greedy policy for a company that can't even get a tow truck to you in a reasonable amount of time anymore.

    I'd rate zero stars if I could. We called AAA on 6/21/22 at 4:15 pm after breaking down in Tarpon Springs, FL. After waiting 2 hours no one came or called. I called back and the AAA representative told me that we may have a little longer to wait as they tried to get someone to come. We waited another 1 1/2 hours and when no one called or came again, we called a tow truck. It cost $185 for a 12 mile tow ($120+ $5 per/mile). Terrible, but that's not the end. My phone rang at 6:15am this morning (6/22/2022) more than 14 hours after my original call, it was a AAA representative. The person wanted to know " Are you safe? Do you still need roadside assistance? " Are you F'ing kidding me? 14 hours later? I've been a Gold Card member since the 1980's....Horrible service!

    Very unhappy with Triple AAA

    My aunt has AAA and my son set for 21/2 hrs waiting then my vehicle broke down on way to visit a friend me ,my aunt ,and grandson stuck on side of road for 3 hrs unacceptable called at 6:30 and now it is 9:06 still nothing we called a tow truck there on there way sending bill to triple AAA I will never buy triple AAA and bad customer service even digested we call our self which we ended up doing but if we had the money we wouldn’t have triple AAA so all in all never will I have triple AAA ever way pay for a service they can’t provide…..

    Why do they advertise as a custom travel agency?

    Since AAA advertises as a custom travel agency, with bonafide agents, I thought I'd speak to an agent about travel planning to Italy. I spent 2 hours in their office this morning going over travel requests to Italy. 6 hours later I get an email from the agent to my husband for Ireland, and asking us for information that I had written down for her just several hours prior. This is more than disorganization on the agent's part. She didn't honor our request to put everything in my name - not my husband's. She seemed angry that we were asking for help booking hotels and car rentals. She knew less about international travel than I did!!

    On June 6th

    On June 6th, I parked my car at work and locked my keys in my car. Thomas from Hooked up towing and recovery came within 15 mins and I had my keys out of my car. I was thinking about canceling my subscription with triple A but now I will never. I am so thankful I had help when I needed it and so quickly. I was able to get back to work! Thank you Thomas!

    tow for vehicle with DMV trip permit was refused

    Requested tow for my vehicle which has trip permit from DMV, to take it to shop to fix radiator. I was informed by AAA that they wont tow unless i have valid tags. i can't get tags until vehicle passes DEQ, can't drive until radiator fixed.l So they will tow when i don't need tow. They will only accept trip permit from dealership but not from DMV. Can somebody help me find the logic in this? Very very disappointed in lack of service and misleading advertising

    Not happy with AAA at all. My car wouldn’t star and I have a warranty on my car Thru Hyundai. I waited 15 hours for tow truck to pick up my car 6pm to 9:20am. I’m sorry that is really poor customer services. What would have you done if I wasn’t at my house??? You would of let a woman be left at her car by herself while it was getting dark out and let her sleep in her car waiting for a tow truck. I even kept calling and getting the excuse “we are still trying to find a driver to pick up your car.” The same excuse for almost 15 hours. When I was told it would be 58 minute to an hour half for a tow truck. I’m really not happy with you service.

    What is wrong with your drivers? Its NOT OK for them to drive across your yard because they can't navigate a turn during a tow. Now I have a damaged lawn and tire marks through my grass and sidewalk. It is unexcuseable. I caught him in the act and all he did was mouth "I'm sorry" and kept driving. What a LOSER!

    The tow truck dispatched 6/18/22

    The tow truck dispatched came in 20 minutes. I thought it was the transmission but he rightly guess a cable which had disconnected. He attached it, towed the car, offered a pen and envelope to leave my key in the drop box and gave me a lift a few blocks so I had less far to walk. Great service!!! He made a miserable situation a pleasant experience.

    First Class Customer Service from AAA

    I was handling a battery warranty issue this morning for a friend. I was expecting that it would get complicated, because I was not the owner of the car with the bad battery. However, the technician who showed up proved that I was wrong. His name was Darreon, and he made the whole experience very easy. Darreon was on time, very professional, and very skilled. He tested the battery and confirmed my suspicions that it was bad. He replaced the battery free of charge under the terms of the AAA warranty without any hassle. Darreon also discovered that the alternator was weak and needed to be replaced. I took care of that this afternoon. He also provided some fresh gas, because the fuel in the tank was getting low. I was very impressed with this young man and with the services he provided. If I ever need AAA again, I hope they will send Darreon.

    AAA Roadside Assistance The Worst

    If you are paying yearly for AAA Roadside Assistance, cancel it now. This is worst service I’ve ever had. Never again. They are supposed to be 24 hr service. We called at 5:30 am and we’re told battery assistance doesn’t start until 7 am! Really?? Made repeated phone calls no one called or showed up and after the last call 1.5 hours later, a tow service called us, telling us this isn’t his area.

    My son and husband have been on the phone with AAA for awhile. He has called them countless times to see how long before someone shows up to let him in his car and they won't call him back. Finally the last person he talked to said there was no one to help him; we would have to find someone and they would reinburse us. They let us call 4 times before they would tell us that. They were NEVER going to call us back! TERRIBLE service! Find a better alternative to AAA.

    Great AAA service as always!

    I used AAA Lake Oswego, Oregon, after leaving two cars undriven for six months completely killing both batteries. One battery was a AAA battery replaced a year or so ago, the other one the original battery with the car. Replace AAA battery was free and the replacement battery for the other car was reasonably priced I thought at $149 19. The two technicians Trumpass and Tom were very great to work with, conversant, friendly, and thorough. Highly recommend AAA as our experience has been 100% favorable over the years.

    I called for a tow 6/15/22 today and that phone call was made at 8:58 Am and NO ONE SHOWED UP!!! I got a random stranger to help me and AAA said they showed up at 11:19 Am.     Never showed up

    I called AAA to pick up my car at a car repair place. They did not tell.i needed to be there. So rescheduled and drove 13cmiles. Waited 3 hours. It was canceled 2 times. Have to.drive back tomorrow and pray they will actually show up. ( last month they actually showed up,so not sure what happened today. ) Update: I had another appointment for the next day. AAA called and said the tow company called and canceled. She had called 7 others and will continue to do so. She was very friendly. So I called a prayer line and right after she called back and said she had found someone Everything went fine from then on and I was able to go to work in time.that day.

    AAA lacks the customer service

    AAA lacks the customer service, common sense that they were once praised for- do NOT WASTE a dime on this company. They will change the rate that they used to lure you in. Then give you a hard time refunding your money. IF they refund it.

    My truck was trapped between the edge…

    My truck was trapped between the edge of the lake and a tree-spent 15 minutes on phone going through AAA recording of covid 19 education and warniongs before I finally could speak to an agent. Agent said since 30 feet off roadway they would send me to an outside vendor with no AAA coverage, Outside vendor wanted $1000 paid up front before they would send anyone to assess my situation.We have been members 27 years and this is how they TREAT long time customers-terrible organization and we are cutting up our cards and leaving this horrible company that at one time was caring and helpful.

    Leaving a one star review

    Leaving a one star review, because there is no option to leave zero stars. I got a flat tire and called triple A for assistance. They told me help would be there in an hour. Approximately 3 hours later, a man showed up on a motorcycle with no tools. He asked me if I had a jack. I showed him where in my vehicle it was located....he proceeded to tell me that he was unable to remove the jack from my car as no youtube videos he watched gave him the information he needed. He jumped back on his motorcycle and said so sorry I cannot help and drove away. Another three hours after that (I meanwhile called a friend who assisted me with changing the tire), I got a follow up call from triple A telling me they are so sorry that the man they sent was unable to assist and they had nobody with a jack available until the next morning. Absolute waste of money. I will not be renewing my membership.

    Absolutely unacceptable

    Absolutely unacceptable. Their "service" is just a scam. They wanted me to wait 3 hours or more to come just to start up my car with discharged batteries. Solved the problem by myself. It's time to throw away this so called AAA insurance .

    Same as many reviews here. Was left for hours on the side of I-40 with no service, but with operators saying they were trying to find service. Finally smartened up, made my own calls, found someone willing to help right away. Why do I have AAA if I am just going to use Google? AAA called back hours later, said they only called one service which was not available.

    Female driver stranded on the road with…

    Female driver stranded on the road with a flat…We pay for AAA gold RV package, had flat tire along the 99 on the trailer. Called in, after a frustrating experience trying to go through the automated service 20 min later I was able to speak with a live person. Who clearly did not understand her job yet. After 20 more minutes she dispatched the call for service. I had a spare, the trailer in blocks, all I needed was a tow truck driver to work the lug nuts for me. I was quoted 45 min. 6 hours later, many phone calls into AAA (that went unanswered after putting me on hold???) I was told they were not coming. They lied to me and told me the tow truck driver came by and talked to me and that I declined the service. No tow truck driver ever came by, nor spoke to me, nor was I even given the tow company name that it was dispatched to. Why would I decline? I pay for the service, I called for the tow truck… I had a neighbor drive out of town to help me change the tire. 8 Full hours later a manager from AAA called to see if I still needed road side assistance. Seriously!?!?? After filing a formal complaint and being told I would receive a phone call in approximately one week, telling me about their investigation and a resolution, no call. 4 wks later I got a generic letter of apology that my experience wasn’t acceptable. AAA is NOT the company it used to once be. Horrible customer service.

    Last night my car died while driving on…

    Last night my car died while driving on I-95 outside of Philadelphia PA. at 830pm. I called AAA and they told me call police to ensure my safety then call them back, which I did. Luckily I had a bag chair in my trunk so I could sit elsewhere than in the area. An hour later, since I had no messages from AAA about follow up and after talking with the state trooper he advised I all another tow service. At 940pm I called Robs Towing. By 1005pm they were there and started the tow. I called AAA and it was at this point they told me the ETA would be 2:15am! Five and a half hours! Additionally the original lady I had talked with wanted me to go home and leave the vehicle with the keys in it. The state police said leaving the vehicle unattended makes it a target for theft! Especially because now they have the keys. It coat me $150 to have my car towed to the dealer. I cannot believe the terrible service AAA offers.

    I could not be more dissatisfied

    I could not be more dissatisfied. Last night I got a flat at 8:39pm. I tried to call, couldn’t get agent so filed claim online immediately. My child and I waited at the end of a driveway off of a highway. I was told on MORE than 3 occasions, service was on the way last night. My mother called and was told the same. As did my husband and he was told services were coming. Had I continued waiting, myself and my MINOR child would’ve spend 11 hrs in my car. Had my infant been in the car, I cannot imagine relying on AAA, would have ended in anything less than her being hospitalized. My car is just now parked, the less than 2 miles up the road, that I needed to travel to be in a safe and familiar environment after roughly 11 hours. Until speaking with the supervisor last night, NOT ONE AAA employee called to update me or let me know that service was not actually coming. I let my car run for HOURS, praying not to run out of gas or anything to keep my child cool because, “service was on the way”. Original time was 9:23. I sat on hold an hour, at 11:15pm, when service time was 10:05. After my hour long attempt to reach agents, I was told an additional 1.5-2 hrs. Just after 2:20am, I was told 25 minutes until arrival. At nearly 4 am, I was finally told AAA had not even secured a provider. This was via the supervisor. Not a single agent contacted me to let me and my CHILD know, help was not coming. I am absolutely disgusted and will share my experience for other mothers who may waste their money on this company that obviously does not have enough concern to even update their customers when they lie about service times. AAA employees handling this case last night were 100% negligent and could have been responsible for my child and I being harmed waiting for service that was never even coming.

    Useless if you have a flat tire in the city and can't wait 3 hours

    I have been a AAA member for years and pay the $80 to get prime service. I noticed my card had expired, called them to ask for a new card which was up to date. I had a flat tire on my truck, parked at home in a city, called AAA road assistance and after one hour a truck shows up and found they could only fix batteries. The employee checked back with dispatch to find that there would be a two hour wait for a tow truck, all I had was a flat tire. Unless you break down on a highway, AAA is useless. All they do is bombard you with offers of auto or life insurance. They used to be really useful, but they've closed a lot of branches to save money. Guess I will find someone else when my coverage expires.

    My car was stolen out of their parking…

    My car was stolen out of their parking lot in Philadelphia and no one is getting back to me about what they plan to do about it. I have contacted my attorney to assist me in this matter. I tried to give them time to rectify the situation but it’s been a week and nothing. I have been a customer for over 20 years and I keep getting transferred and I’ve talked to over 12 upper management people at the company. How many people do you need to do absolutely nothing? I am beyond frustrated and definitely cancelling my membership after this ordeal is taken care of. Goodbye AAA but please say hello to my attorney

    DO NOT USE

    DO NOT USE. My 76 year old mother called for assistance due to flat tire. 3 hours later she called to see where they were while sitting in the car with Florida heat near 90s. The company that Triple A used stated they were done and not sending anyone out therefore they needed to dispatch another company and she waited over another hour. What’s wrong here. Triple A sends a company to assist a customer but never shows up and Triple A does not keep tract of this to make sure their customers are taken care of!!! This is total bs… I will be calling corporate first of the week.

    24 hours Is Not What They Deliver

    Imagine scheduling service at 4 AM, given a response time of 70 minutes, only to find out that's completely false. Upon calling in advised assistance won't arrive until 9 AM. What a misrepresentation of 24 hours roadside assistance. Totally unacceptable and false advertising.

    Not as reliable as they claim

    We pay for a towing service broke down and requested a tow a 6pm we were told roughly an hour. 1 1/2 goes by now we are told our service was cleared by mistake and because it's Friday night we arent sure when someone would be able to tow our car from out of the street. This is the second time triple aa has let me down. I gave only needed them twice and they have not been any help either time. I'm sorry from my point they are unreliable. Beyond being unreliable they were unwilling to do anything to help us. I will drop this service tonight it isn't worth anything to me

    Sad red eye travel

    I’m a AAA Plus RV member , I used AAA to book a rental car ,was concerned about 12:45am pick up , but was assured no problem! Guess what Hertz was closed cost me $215 additional to book with another at airport for my 2 hour drive. Called AAA and got a very unapologetic agent . Let’s see if I hear from them. I will be asking them for the difference!

    Been waiting for a tow truck since 3pm and it’s past midnight. I have literally been told three times someone was coming. The second call they told me I they didn’t know what to do except cancel it and put another request. So I didn’t and then they say another hour and never show. So now we are just going to have to just lay to have it towed. Only two miles away!

    Control, not needed!

    When calling AAA for a tow, they would not tow my vehicle to a storage or a church, you pay your yearly rate wich we almost never used, and these people are telling us where we can and cannot have our car towed to, and furthermore what is wrong with your vehicle where are you taking your vehicle and why. They get our $$ and yet want to dictate where we should have our vehicle towed to. No bueno...... 😡😡

    Terrible

    Terrible! We were stranded along a major highway for over two hours with two little kids in the car! We called back after waiting several minutes for them to get there, and they had no record of us even calling the first time they said! The second time, it took them an hour and a half to get here! We will not be using them again!

    AAA is awesome!

    I requested AAA roadside service due to car battery not working. The AAA mechanic arrived within 15minutes, assessed the problem and recommended a new battery. The mechanic arranged for AAA fleet to deliver and install the new battery all within 40 minutes. I’m absolutely grateful for the great customer service received from AAA.

    HA! this company is an ABSOLUTE joke. The workers are beyond rude. My car was totaled by someone who uses this company; and it has been the worst experience. My “adjuster” would never answer the phone nor return voicemails; AAA- you need to check your employees because they are nasty/rude people for starters!!!!!!!! I can only hope and pray this company goes under so no one else has to deal with this!!!!!!!!! As a mother I was left with nothing, still waiting on payment money for my car that I keep getting told “ to soon for them” when the accident happened on the 11th of last month!!!!!!!! I will post my review in EVERY site I possibly can, just so everyone can see how twisted and unprofessional this horrible company is !!!!!
