Application Process

The application process is simple, smooth and accessible. You can apply online, on a desktop, tablet or mobile device, by filling out a short form and providing some basic information. In order to pre-qualify and see the rates you qualify for, it will not require your social security number, and it will not affect your credit score.

After receiving a response, the information shared is then analyzed and the appropriate lenders for the application are sorted. The representatives at Tresl do the rest of the work of matching, preparing the application and transferring the money between the banks. To make an application the minimum credit score required is 500 and your monthly income should be at least $1,500. An application will only be sent to a lender if a customer pre-qualifies, in which case a credit pull could affect your credit score. 

Loan Types and Terms

Loans are mid-term to long-term, from 36 months to 84 months. However, it is advised not to extend the loan duration for more than 60 months. The requirements and restrictions to get a loan from the lenders associated with Tresl are:

  • A minimum credit score of 500. The interest rates and savings you will be making depend considerably on your credit score.
  • A minimum monthly income of $1,500 or above
  • Vehicle must be less than 10 years old and under 150,000 miles

Repayment Options

There are no benefits and interest rates will not be given in the case of a prepayment. Depending on the individual lender, there may be a late fee applicable for delayed payments.

took over 2 months to send me my title, sent the title work to the wrong address, wouldnt send me more temp plates, completely ignored me until I threatened a lawsuit, made me lose over 200$ in public transportation costs because I couldn't use my car that I bought from them. DO NOT click on Tresl website for car…
DO NOT click on Tresl website for car financing information. They will run a credit report whether you want them to or not. I did not give them permission to run my report and told them during the multiple communication attempts that I was no longer interested. Based upon information I could find (rates, reputation, etc.) I decided it was better to pay cash to refinance instead of using a finance company. I never personally spoke to anyone of their agents, and only completed information on their website. Once that was completed and before I decided not to finance, they ran my credit report without my approval.

Too much internal data needed to make transaction.
The problem was Tresl continue to ask formation that was not needed to buy a vehicle but it was part of their processes. They also took forever to get back to me with the next step in the process of purchasing the truck. I am still not confident they will come back to me asking for more information about something not related to the transaction.

This company is an absolute nightmare. Avoid them at all costs. I bought a car from them over 4 months ago and I am still fighting with them to finalize the transaction. You have to follow up on every single part of the process. The team drags their feet to get anything done. They never answer the phone and they repeatedly lie about calling back. This is probably the worst company I have ever worked with. If you enjoy your sanity, avoid TRESL.

I've been trying to contact them by phone for almost 4 weeks and when I manage to be answered they say they will contact the DMV and get back to me via email or phone but that never happens. When I call again they just ask me to wait because they are still trying to contact me for an upgrade. When I try to open a complaint through internet channels I only get a standard message asking me to get in touch and again I am told to wait, I am not able to drive the car due to lack of documentation and this is absurd

Poor Service no Accountabilitu
I purchase a van from Avis and was charge another $500 for Tresl to process the transfer and registration. After almost tho months they wanted me to go to DMV again to get a VIN verification again which was uploaded to their site. I logged in to their site and sure enough it was there. The next day they sent us all the paperwork with the instruction to register the van ourselves to DMV, no apologies to refunds. Worst service, I have bought more than 10 vehicles from AVIS and have never had this much problem until they start using Tresl.

I bought the car in February and everything went well, but more than two months later I didn't receive the title, nor the new plates, they made me go to the DMV twice but I couldn't solve it because I didn't sent the original documentation. At the DMV I was informed that the original documentation was sent to the wrong location. I've been trying to call every possible contact number for three days every 20 minutes and I've sent dozens of emails without any response. The employee who ordered me to go to the DMV does not answer my emails or answer my calls. an absurd lack of respect.

Poor follow up
I have been waiting since January for my tag. Everything started well with the process. But since the purchase, the process of getting a tag has stalled. No one seems to want to follow up. The comments are for me to call the DMV which is a waste of my day. Tresl should follow through with all aspects of the car purchase.

I refinanced in May 2022 my paperwork…
I refinanced in May 2022 my paperwork was not completed until 7/31/2022. I was told my loan was with Consumers credit union. I wasI paid my registration 10/2022 and found out my title is still in process and I could not receive my tags until it was completed. It is not April of 2023 and I am now being told the title request was never completed my finance company is Tresl however I have been paying the credit union. I can not drive the car because the registration is expired and no one wants to help me. But I am expected to make my payments even though I can't legally drive the car because of the title issue. This has been a horrible experience I am contacting a lawyer.

They charge around $500.00 to process cash payments and takes months to complete the transaction. In the meantime you are without plates and registration. There is also no one accountable to address your grievances. I wish Avis would remove this service provider.

We were approved for a lease buy out. This is the WORST experience, I encourage anyone who is reading this review, do NOT do business with Tresl financing at all. It took over 3 weeks of continous papers to sign, with a promise to have a check to Volvo and they were late and cost us money. After we signed the first set of papers and wired my down payment they never followed up, no returned calls, total MIA. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. you will regret it.

This is a SCAM company
This is a SCAM company. They collect your information and pass to other lenders. They did the HARD CHECK ON MY CREDIT WITHOUT MY CONCENT. When I tried to contact business development representative Nathalie Willmon (who messed up my application in the first place) to correct the mistake she cancelled my application instead. One error after another. After that they do not pick up phones at all. BEWARE. GARBAGE COMPANY THAT WILL MAKE YOU MISERABLE.

So you overcharged me on the Kentucky…
So you overcharged me on the Kentucky state tax which I didn't think I would have to analyze. Your title department people would not answer their phones or reply to voice mails. When you finally figured out my tax refund, instead of sending it FedEx one day service it was picked up on a Thursday and was to be delivered 1st on Sunday, then on Monday, and now on Wednesday. PITIFUL Hope I never have to rely on your company again.

It's been 3 months and still didn't get my title and registration and the worst of it nobody talks to you,I paid cash for the car and they keep lying to me and they won't issue a temporary tag, very disrespectful people more the so called manager "Mike",and the woman at title called "Kizzy"(what a name),bunch of crooks and thieves.
