Bank of America offers a robust selection of versatile general-spending credit cards, great for any consumer who doesn’t want to tie up their rewards with a single vendor or airline. The cards’ flexible rewards system allows cardholders to redeem and apply their travel rewards or cash back however they wish, whether as a statement credit against a future billing cycle or as cash directly deposited into a checking account.

The company’s credit cards are also well reviewed. Each of the five cards boasts at least a 4.3-star rating, while the bank itself holds the #1 rating in J.D. Power’s customer satisfaction surveys for both the banking advice and online and mobile app categories.

Customers who qualify for the company’s Preferred Rewards program can get a 25%-75% rewards bonus on certain cards, depending on their rewards tier.

For example, customers not enrolled in the Preferred Rewards program would earn unlimited 1.5% back on all purchases with the Bank of America Unlimited Rewards® card. Meanwhile, Gold-tier members (who receive a 25% reward bonus) would earn unlimited 1.875% back, while Platinum-tier members (50% reward bonus) could earn unlimited 2.25% back. Platinum Honors members (75% reward bonus), those with more than $100,000 with the bank, can earn unlimited 2.625% back—making the Bank of America Unlimited Rewards® (and the Premium Rewards®) cards the highest-earning unlimited flat-rate cash back credit cards on the market today.

Additionally, those who hold checking or savings accounts with the bank can link their credit card accounts to take advantage of advanced AutoPay features, eliminating the risk of late or missed payments. However, customers must manually pay their credit card balance for at least two months before they are eligible to enroll in AutoPay.

Interest Rates and Fees

Nearly all Bank of America cards have interest rates in the mid-teens to the low twenties, and most cards, other than the bank’s travel-oriented cards, charge foreign transaction fees. However, none of Bank of America’s cards carry an annual fee other than the Premium Rewards® card, which comes at a $95 yearly cost.

Rewards & Cash Back

Every Bank of America card offers a welcome bonus, and each except for the BankAmericard® offers rewards, either in the form of points or cashback.

The Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards™ and Unlimited Rewards® cards each offer a $200 cash bonus if cardholders spent at least $1,000 in the first 90 days, while the Bank of America Travel Rewards® card offers 25,000 points on $1,000 spent within the first 90 days.     I wonder how many people live in Anderson sc and always try to use the ATM on hwy 29 since 2018 that ATM is always got a problem of being out of order every other week and you have to drive 15 to 30 minutes for another bank of America ATM because if you use a different ATM you pay their fees and then the bank of America charges another $2.50 to $3 charge maybe a class action lawsuit might get it resolved!!

    Customer service, good checks not being cleared

    Their customer service wait time as automated system is a horrible experience. I have had several problems with BOA not accepting funds from an outside checking account then needing to have the checks resubmitted which made my account overdrawn. I am actually so fed up I'm closing my account with them.

    This review is NOT for BOA but for the wonderful lady at customer service. I am from Sweden and have been trying to get in touch with BOA for some weeks now. They have a stupid computer that you need to talk to who dont understand anything. If BOA think this is a good idea they are wrong, because if I call I need help and you get just pissed trying to talk to a machine! Anyway, After cheating the machine I finaly got to talk to a lovely lady Jordan at customer service, she helped me to solve all my questions and problems.     On 8/25/22

    On 8/25/22, My wife went to the 2905 Stevens Creek Branch to wire transfer $15K to Fidelity tile company by an appointment. After she checked in with the front desk at 9:30am and waited almost half an hour. Finally Eric Barragan came to help me with the wire transfer. She gave him the Tile company’s wire instruction. He worked on his computer, printed out the paper work and asked her to sign. She reviewed the information on the form, and found out he puts the wrong name on Wire to column. He used the reference name instead of Fidelity’s. she asked him to correct the mistake. He didn’t know how to fix it. Then he is on the phone for a while trying to find out how to fix it. From his conversation on the phone, she found out the wire went out without her consent and signature. After he get off the phone, he asked the manager Craig Para for help. Craig said he has no right to cancel the wire, then told me to go home and wait for his call to let me know after he stop the wire. she got emotional since she was there for almost half a day, and didn't know where my money would go. Eric Barragan even told me that is only a mistake, he totally not seeing that mistake is serious; money will go back to my account after a couple days!!! she went home and had lunch, and went back to the branch asked Craig if he was able to stop the wire. He said he was still waiting. she don't know what he is waiting for. Send me home and wait for his call again. I asked him where to make a complaint. He gave me his manager’s name and email, Anna Vega, I received his phone call in late afternoon. He told me the wire transaction has been cancelled, and he is keeping checking if the money goes back to my account. He will call and let me know. Also promised to arrange for me to redo the wire transaction in another branch and transfer out of my safety box to another branch, but I never received his phone call after noticing that the wire transfer had been canceled. Next day, 8/26, I checked my bank account. The money was taken from my account. We sent an email to Anna Vega, but never heard from her. As a manager, Anna Vega is totally fails for her job. Not even reply to my email. She needs to take most of the responsibilities. In the whole transaction. BOA staffs made three huge mistake: 1/ Wire money out form customer account without their consent and signature 2/Wire went through with the wrong account name. 3/ until this point, all boa staffs are helping us are irresponsible and have terrible customer service, On 9/9/22, finally we got a phone call from Debbie and she is requesting us to sign the original transfer paperwork. We still haven't sign.

    16 years WASTED!!

    Been a member for 16 years and this is my last one. I hate them. Poor customer service, not helpful, no good products offered and the list goes on. My latest issue was the last straw. Zelle claims and their process is the absolutely worst!! No ownership, no initiative, pisspoor management and nasty attitudes after tenured customers stay on hold FOR TWO HOURS just to speak someone who barely knows their own name because they definitely couldn’t help me! And tell Yolanda from Texas to shut up and listen to the customer sometimes. No one wants to call and hold on for hours only to hear her useless monotone nothingness! Speaking over me and not addressing my issue! Zelle claim denied the first time because they had no backup after the “wonderful” BOA rep told me they would reach out to me for details. 2nd agent restarted the claim for reconsideration and directed me on what and how I need to submit backup. Call to check to make sure my back up was received and Yolanda who doesn’t listened must’ve just been born to ruin my day because she couldn’t just confirm my back up was received, no. She had to share useless chit that was never a question and as I’m getting annoyed she tells me I have to speak with an entirely different department and hold on for another hour because she doesn’t believe my reconsideration was processed. Took 70% of my funds out of this bank a month ago and headed to get the rest.

    I've been a BofA customer for about 21…

    I've been a BofA customer for about 21 years. In late June 2022, I chose to close my checking and savings accounts due to poor customer service received at a Seattle, Washington area branch--a matter never addressed or corrected. At that point, I had substantial funds in my account. In fact, I remain a preferred rewards Platinum Honors member for whatever that is worth. I did not close my credit cards with them (having 4 of them then) as I did not want to negatively impact my credit rating. I still continued using one card. Recently, a mistake was made on my credit report, which I corrected straightaway, regarding a missed payment with a Kohl's CapitalOne card. Despite the correction immediately being made (and my credit rising to its previous 820+ status), BofA closed my credit card. The card never had a single late payment. The same month I paid over $7,500 toward its balance. What I think occurred is that the bank no longer had my substantial funds in my account (again, as I closed the checking and savings accounts). But as I continued to use the credit card that gave me increased awards (based on my premier status that remained), the bank was no longer making money off me (for all I know even losing money). So, they closed my perfect, twenty-one year history credit card account. In their explanation, they even cited the bank's "relationship" to me as one reason. I really questioned having closed my checking and savings accounts as I had such a long history with the bank, even though the branch in the Seattle area treated me terribly. But now I am so glad to be separated from the bank. I highly question the professionalism of the bank, a bank that had once drew my respect and recommendation now regrettably uses the mean-spirited ruthlessness of much lesser competitors. I do not have a recommendation of alternatives, but certainly BofA, maybe thinking itself too big to fail, forgets important lessons: first, no bank or business is really too big to fail (remembering Kmart's giant status succumbing to competitors) ; second, its relationships with customers is what develops and maintains its status; third, implied in the second point is the lack of lasting relationships can hasten the bank's downfall. I understand that BofA executives very ignorantly purchased the now bankrupt Countrywide business, representing maybe the most costly business folly in banking history. I also see that investing giant Warren Buffett apparently somehow has confidence in the bank; despite my admiration for Buffett, perhaps if he knew how BofA treats its customers, he would have a different perspective on the bank's staying power as America's bank. I for one have major reservations.

    BOA lack of Customer Service and PROCESSES

    I am very dissatisfied with BOA not only because of their minimal customer service but also because of the in-bank rude experience when the Manager calls their customer a liar!!! I deposited a check drawn on another BOA account on the app and they are holding my own money for 24hours???? Now mind you I have only been with them for two months but why?? Why cant they release at least half of the check to where we can access it??? How are we supposed to live on NOTHING for one day??? The Manager goes in and REFUSES to try and post the check.... I mean MY GOD it was drawn on another BOA account in Michigan... REALLY?? Thanks for the "AWESOME customer service Manager of Palmetto FLORIDA..... NOT!!!     Phone service experience

    I have been with Bank of America for 6 years y wife is been with for over 10 years, we both will leave. The waiting on phone calls is ridiculous, I have a frozen account because fraud and you guys make everything more and more difficult. I don’t recommend Bank of America. Today I spend more than 2 hours on my phone to make only on simple transfer and they say I should call back on Monday. Bank of America really needs to change their phone service y the worst.     Virginia and Karina are incredible. Virginia is a manager and she was very respectful, patient and professional. I’m a foreigner and my speaking skills are limited, and Virginia clearly explained me what happened with my transaction, AND! she found a MISTAKE other bank did ( they forgot to fill out account number), so I was able to request cancellation of old transaction and to initiate a new transaction as soon as possible. Karina helped me to find a new transaction and she called me in an hour to let me know that money is shown in my account. Karina was very kind, helpful and professional too. I’m very satisfied with the their service. Thank you, ladies, you helped me a lot and you are the best.

    A relative from Dominican Republic came with a check issued by local Banco Popular and drawn on Bank of America. He tried to cash it at the 7024 W Palmetto Park Rd. Boca Raton FL branch, the amount being $9,500. Bank of America refused, and basically showed him the door. I used to be their customer. Glad I moved!

    Today’s experience with Bank of America. Let’s say I have $1,000 in my checking account. I deposit a check for $100. I don’t expect to have access to the additional $100 right away. I understand that it will take a day or two for the check to clear. I do expect that in a day or two I will have $1,100 in my checking account. That is not how it works at Bank of America. I deposited a $100 check and Bank of America DEDUCTED $100 from my account. I discussed the issue with their online chat person. It took a half hour for Sabrina to understand that $1,000 + 100 does not equal $900. But she said that there was nothing she could do. Sh&%*t happens. I called their customer service number. Again, it took a half hour for Ruth to understand how deposits work. (They ADD money to your account.) Again, sadly, she said that there was nothing she could do. Sh&%*t happens. Ruth was very eager for me to complete a customer satisfaction survey. She seemed confused when I said that I couldn’t give a positive review because, well, she hadn’t actually resolved the issue. I don’t suppose that Sabrina and Ruth would like me posting this, but, you know, s&%*t happens.

    I am not a customer of Bank of America. I went to the Ridley Park, PA branch for help and answers, waste of time. I have my social security number frozen but they are allowing someone to open accounts in my name with a FROZEN social security number and then act as if it is no issue. Can't talk with anyone who has any knowledge, have reported them to the BBB but I think if enough customers (I am not one and this is a great reason why I should never become one) leave, maybe that will invoke the bank to do better.

    Check Holds and Bad Customer Service

    We have our personal and our buisness accounts at Bank of America. Every time we deposit a check, of any amount, they put a hold on them. We made a deposit on September 1st and they said they are going to hold it until the 13th of the month. They did not disclose this when we were depositing the check. They would not even call to verify funds at the other bank. The fees are ridiculous and you can never get an actual person on the phone. Do not bank here!

    I have had 3 accounts with bankofamerica since 2001. If it was not such a hassle to change banks, I would have left years ago. The fees are insane just to have an account. To me the thing I hate the very most is the lack of search features for transactions. It makes it difficult to get taxes ready because you cannot group transactions.

    This is the worst bank in the USA for business checking. Every time I try to use my debit card, they flag it as fraud and lock my account. Then they tell me to call their customer service. When I call their customer service, there is nobody to talk to. I have to wait on hold for an hour. Then when a dumb representative finally picks up, they tell me they don't know how to help and that I have to go into a branch the following Monday. I hate this bank with a passion.

    Extremely poor service.

    Went in the BoA office at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville N.C. Was told it would be a few minutes before we would be helped. Twice a bank employee came by saying it would be just a few minutes. After waiting 45 minutes I asked how much longer and was told it would be 1 to 2 hours. This type of service not to mention the lies are totally unacceptable. As soon as the legal matters are complete I will be pulling every penny I have in BoA out.

I’ve been trying to call them one time and they transferred me back to the start menu! I keep trying my local Bank of America and they won’t even answer the phone! The recording refers me to the website! After over 15 years of being a great customer, I am fed up! What a pain to change banks, but what choice is there? I need to use my money. It’s not theirs!

    We have had 2 business accounts with milllions of dollars ran through them in sales. We applied for 1 business card a very long time ago and they gave me a personal credit card. They put a hard inquiry even through they claimed it to one be soft Since then I Have recieved 4 hard inquires where they have no merrit or cant show me any documentation that its legit. Most other companies will remove it immediatly and call the financial credit agencies and talk to them directly so it can be immediatly removed. Not for them... If you even get a letter from them, dont look it... Just burn it and throw it away or it may end up hurting you and your family.

    I was with this bank for nearly 50 years until Feb 2022 when I went to credit union - better interest and better service. BofA has only a handful of banks open since COVID. They hold my HELOC and when I tried to renegotiate interest, they gave me runaround and double talk. They are greedy and will not budge. I am heading to my credit union to apply for same type of loan, will pay off BofA and work with my new bank. I despise BofA and their business practices.

    Awful and terrible policies.

    Not only did my account of 12 years got broken into but they there Credit Card policies are awful. Spoke to a Supervisor about reopening my Card after closing in good standing- due to COVID and I simply was told NO!! Nothing could be done re-instate my original credit card because once you close that account it is a permanent closed. And it does not matter that you have been a loyal customer for many years. Finally, 09/24, closed all my accounts with them and never want to deal with them again. No direct deposit - no other checking account available for the average working American that doesn't work for Corporate. Not willing to help re-establish my credit card account after 5 long years. So disappointed.

    I have banked with them for 16 years. They have gradually reduced the staffing in each branch and now you have to have appointments for almost anything you would do in a branch. Whenever you call the main customer service number you'll spend 10 to 15 minutes talking through a call prompt and then another indefinite amount of time waiting for someone to actually talk to you on the phone. They rarely resolved the issues that you need them to.

Then, I pressed the option again to speak with a bank rep and again providing my credentials again. This process took me at least an hour of my time just to to get a simple question... Long process for nothing! Time waisted!

    already bad before the start of this relationship

    I couldn't activate the approved credit card despite I was sure I got the right information after the card arrival. I called them several times and waited for 20 minutes to connect to someone, who verified me via text then I got transferred to a fraud department. I was asked why I got transferred there and again another text verification. I was sure I passed both but I was told the card couldn't be activated and I had to go to a branch with TWO id documents, which was ridiculous. Meanwhile, I applied for both credit and debit cards via other banks and all got approved. I already feel they are incompetent, disorganized and unfriendly.

    Awful customer service

    Awful customer service! Drove all the way to a bank for them to put me on the same telephone line as regular customer service. Utterly useless! I’ve called the credit card number FIVE times and my issue was not resolved. I had an over 2 hour wait each time. 2 of those times, the line accidentally was hung up. A manager told me I wouldn’t be hung up upon transfer. Lo and behold- hung up! It’s been 4 business days and I have no credit card number, despite being approved. Each representative gave me different information. I’m now at an in-person branch, waited 20 minutes, and they informed me I’d have to go through the same process on the phone. What is the point of driving to the bank if the associates cannot help me? They have to go through the same channel telephone. So frustrating!!! ABSOLUTELY ridiculous.

    Worst experience ever! I have 20+ credits cards, 800+ score, never been late, have paid off all outstanding balances and decided to utilize available credit for renovations to new home. I guess they did a soft pull and closed both of my cards immediately as they seen my credit utilization increase. Since then, I've paid off half of the 100K, never been late and several cards even provided limit increases.. Worst bank ever! Closed bank account and they cancelled my auto draft payments to cards so I could incur charges and dings on credit. Thank God I caught it before it was reported and cleared. I'll never do business with them again! Stay away! Horrible customer experience and service is terrible! They closed my cards because I used credit?! How does that make any sense!? Lol... STAY AWAY! And this is from someone who prides himself on incredible credit!

    MISLEADING EMAILS REGARDING CC PAYMENT

    Every month a "High importance" email from BofA indicating that "you have an unpaid bill due" and "we noticed you haven't made the payment yet". In all cases, the FULL balance had been paid and the check CASHED BY BofA at least 1 week prior to the email (and 2 weeks prior to the due date). When I called CS, they said "emails are automatically generated". REALLY?? So you send out emails with incorrect, misleading information??? I will be contacting our State Attorney General office to file a complaint as this is misleading, harassment and to many older clients could cause an upset with them thinking that their payments had not been received, etc. At worst, it is preying upon people. Especially in today's economy. I have closed my CC account. Don't need the waste of time and aggravation.

    BOA canceled our account based on an internal banking error that had nothing to do with us. Amusingly enough, the Risk Department agreed with us but couldn't do anything because they have no ability to override their own computers. We've opened with a new bank and transfered our business and personal accounts. We've learned our lesson: don't work with banks that are run by algorithms and not humans.

Even during the war you can contact a customer representative via iMessage/Facebook Messenger on a Sunday at 11 pm and at the most random hours you can imagine - issues are solved swiftly and without having to wait on hold for 2 centuries. Today I had to call BoA yet again to ask why my 19$ Burrito purchase got declined. Having spent 11 minutes on hold, your customer service rep had to transfer me to a fraud department. How is that business model of yours sustainable at all? It’s just a burrito.

    Found out my BoA account was…

    Found out my BoA account was permanently closed without notice because they accused me of attempting to deposit a counterfeit check ~$65k. That check was part of a life insurance reimbursement from one of the largest insurance companies in the nation!! How is this even possible!!! No one even cared to help me out or look into it!! I called the insurance company to see what happened and they told me that it’s common practice for banks to call for validation of the check and they note it in the claim each time. They have no record of BoA calling to validate the check. In fact, the $65k was debited from the insurance companies account the day after I cashed it!!! Not only was appropriate help not offered, especially after such a traumatic situation of the sudden passing of my father, but to find out that BoA did not do their due diligence to validate the check and that I’m indefinitely barred from banking at BoA was horrifying. I had another check as part of the payout of the same insurance company for $35k that I deposited at Chase Bank without any problems. To top it off, instead of calling me back with a resolution, they require me to call them to check the status in 3-5 business days!!! How absurd!!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BANK OF AMERICA!!!! ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

    BOA holds large checks much longer than necessary

    Well, today was it for me and BOA. Our whole family have various accounts with them including car loans and HELOC accounts. I took $40K out of a 401K account with T. Rowe Price to use for remodeling. The check was sent to my home and deposited on a Sunday night. The bank held the entire amount. All of it. Not even $5K was deposited. This is a REPUTABLE RETIREMENT ACCOUNT! Although I have chatted online, and called AND gone in person to my neighborhood bank, they STILL won't release the funds under tomorrow which will be SEVEN full days and in their minds is necessary. Why??? We have been customers for over 45 years with them. We have financed cars, homes, have credit cards with them.....Chase only holds checks for 5 days and releases up to $5K immediately. I'm disgusted with this bank. The manager actually tried to "explain" to me how holding a check is necessary as if I were a child. Done. I will pay off my car loan and my HELOC by opening an account with Chase.

    I've been a BofA customer for close to 25 years, including multiple personal and business accounts, credit cards, loans... As another reviewer said, they don't care and don't need your business. They will trick you into fees and tell you it's your fault for not understanding their fine print. I'm sure other banks are just as bad but, out of principle, I'll be banking elsewhere.

    BOA is OK with it's platform harming others.

    Bank of America lets anyone fill out a credit application and run a hard credit check against your credit without properly verifying the identity of the applicant. I have been told that they do their best to make it not happen. However, they don't provide data or stories to support that statement. I am told that they take the matter very seriously and prosecute those that do wrong with their platform. However, they don't have any stories or data to support that statement. Lip service isn't enough! Bank of America needs to do something effective to prevent its platform from malicious use that harms innocent citizens. Full stop.

    I will never do business with boa in my life. Here’s why. I have an auto loan for pat few years. Never missed a payment. I am self employed. Got injured. Continued to make payments for 3 months. Called and asked for deferred payment. They said call back on this date. I did. They said you need to make another payment and call back. I did. 3rd time they said I do not qualify since I don’t have income. I’m self implored short of a tax return how will you know if I do or not? I haven’t for 3 months and still made payment. So I’m the end they just don’t want you to defer payments. I wasn’t looking for anything free. I will close out my credit card with them that has a zero balance and will roll auto loan into home equity loan. Then I will never do business or say anything nice about boa. I hope this helps.

    Protected me and got great service.

    Figured I would go to the lowest rated place to leave a review. Had big time fraud charges over 7k over seas and the alert came through and I contacted them and everything except a foreign transaction fee that I am sure will fall off got wiped out. Waited about 5 minutes for customer service and she was great. They protected me and that is what I care about. Plus the person I talked to was here in the US and to me that made huge a difference.

    Signed up for Zelle via the Bank of America App and received text messages that people sent me money the money but the money never actually ended up in my bank account. Now Bank of America sends me in circles telling me that 'this is impossible' but are unwillig/unable to offer any help. Lost hundreds of dollars that they won't help me to get back. Very poor customer service from branch to phone. In addition BoA has a terrible app, doesn't allow you to auto-pay your credit card and generally feels like banking in the 1800s. Go to a different bank.

    Consumer Fraud Protection

    In March of 22 we received notice that our Business Debit card was being utilized at a retail location. We had to respond if we recognize the charges as we had the actual card and where home as the charges where taking place. not only did we respond but also followed up with a phone call alerting the fraud dept of what was happening. At this point they cancelled our card and issued a replacement and we went ahead and changed all of our login info to our account etc. We where issued a credit for all the charges which where for the amount of over $2,000 of which our card was charged 38 times the amount of $55.00 huge red flag. After two months we thought this nightmare was behind us then the Letter came from BOA letting us know that they had declined the dispute. At this point we went to the bank in person to speak regarding this issue and while there we spoke with Representative of BOA along with a speaker from the fraud dept. We answered all the questions and where told the case would be reopened. Here it is mid July and no resolution to this matter and we the consumer are being penalized as our funds are on hold until they finish this investigation. Terrible Business Practice and Consumer protection.

    I was a Bank of America customer for 15 years. I was very satisfied and couldn’t understand that some people said Bank of America isn’t a good bank. My opinion changed after a Bank of America spam expert called me and said my account might be closed, because I’d sent too many wires. I had sent many wires, because my fiancé was working offshore as an engineer and couldn’t access his accounts in the U.S. He needed crypto currency and Bank of America couldn’t help me send crypto currency to him. For this reasons I had to send wires to friends, who then sent him crypto currency. Bank of America decided to close my account for this reason. Since I’d had my account for 15 years, almost all of my bills were debited from this account. After opening an account at another bank, I now have to set up all my debits at this new bank. Because of Bank of America’s treatment of an old customer with a good credit score, I wouldn’t recommend that any customer trust Bank of America.

    Worst credit card service! I've had this card for a couple years now, had a balance transfer on it and then basically haven't used it since, just working on paying off the balance. Technically the customer support staff are polite but not at all helpful. I realize that's coming from higher management on what they're allowed to do. The online account portal is not user friendly, poorly designed. The worst feature though is that if you are late on a payment (i thought I had automatic payments set up) they suspend your account and you are completely unable to make a payment online. They tell you that you have to call and make a payment over the phone and then they require to give them your bank routing info over the phone to unsuspend it. I've never had another bank do such a stupid thing. You didn't make a payment so they'll then make it practically impossible to make one. I called and made a payment over the phone and told them I wanted the account unsuspended so I could go online and enter my bank info myself, as I have several accounts and wanted to change that info. They said ok, later went online, still suspended. Called - we need your routing info over the phone first. Even though there is no payment due for another month. I'm now sending payments from the bank instead of allowing BOA to pull payments. I don't trust them with any more of my information or access to any more of my money. As soon as I pay this card off, its getting cancelled.

    Business account VS. "normal/regular" account???

    Now I am quite glad that one lady teller at the BA bank Centreville, VA. asked me if I had a business account. Through a muffed mask I answered her that we were opening one at a Northeastern state-- to which we planned to eventually moved --and particularly when I discovered that a branch of my current bank was located over 15 miles away near Tabor Academy. Up till then I was too preoccupied & thus, unaware of the ongoing two supposedly different queuing lines at the bank! [--This definitely IS something new for the visit to the bank. Hmmm I think, they have to come up with some new arrangement every now and then to JUSTIFY their position and existence. There seemed to always having quite a few staff upfront walking about & "yakking" away among themselves--- and sadly ignoring the overworked*** tellers toward the back. ***One could not help, but noticing that on Friday or Saturday, there appears always to be a long line of customers waiting for services. In all four countries where I have resided, I could guarantee you that American banks were not that civilized, Many decades ago, when I was a student on a scholarship and thus, did not have that much money in any banks then, STILL, one most genteel lady teller at the Cambridge Bank branch at Harvard Square always greeted me with such civility that I still remember her half a century later. She treated every customer with real manner. Back to BA, I then noticed the two lines--one for the so-called "Business" account and the other just "blank", am I to understand that customers to BA bank are NOT the same and/or equal? I came home and began to search all kinds of reviews and discovered that BA reached this status by default from another giant bank that was heavily fined from certain situations. Only then did BA bank move to a better status/ranking. But at the moment, the whole BA appears to have some cash flow issues. Thank you so very much to that lady teller, now we are thinking twice about transferring everything to BA in the Northeast. It could not have come at a better time.

    This bank is TERRIBLE

    Went into the Teterboro branch to withdraw some money. Only one teller handling all customers. The wait shouldn't be that long. Then I call them today to ask about a CC that was shipped to me and I waited on hold for over 30 minutes to speak to someone. Use a different bank if you can. They also have minimal locations to actually walk into.
