Once your claim is submitted, you’ll be notified immediately if it’s approved.     I’ve been with Lemonade insurance for…

    I’ve been with Lemonade insurance for about 6-8 months, paying a monthly fee for my pet to have insurance! At first I loved it because it was easy, nothing overly complicated and to the point. I signed up up quickly, signed the docs and sent my payment all in a manner of minutes and I had pet insurance! It was great in the beginning I’d send in my claim for my dogs vaccinations or medications, whatever and they’d send me a payment directly to my bank for 80% of the bill! But fast forward after COVID and something crazy took place! All of a sudden I sent in my bill and I’m talking days and weeks to pay the claim, and so much none sense of what I no longer am eligible or my dog is no longer eligible I mean! All of a sudden I’m getting $25 off a $189 bill that’s less than I pay this dumbass company a month for their membership fee! Im so done and they’ve changed all their policies and now apparently there’s this crazy 80% co insurance so basically nothing is really covered and you’re stuck not only with your bill but their monthly payment! Crazy ridiculous! I canceled asap! Scammers all day!

    If I could leave a review with zero…

    If I could leave a review with zero stars, I would. I had high hopes for this company. However, with the only claim I have had to file in the year I have had this insurance for my pet has been awful. I called prior to taking my pet to the vet. The customer service rep was polite, however, left out key details that were later used to deny the claim. The first claim rep was very polite, however, took over two months to get back to me and denied the claim. I had try to call multiple times to get her on the phone. I added information that wasn't in the original claim, which was not passed on when the claim was then further reviewed. The claim was submitted for review which took 3 more months with ZERO communication. I reached out over 5 times to get someone to answer me. When the claim was again denied the claim rep refused to pass me onto her supervisor. However, I was told multiple times that when claims are denied it is not done as a way to for them to make money. They donate the extra funds. All in all, my pet would have been better off if I had saved my money to put towards her care since no at Lemonade seems to be interested in actually taking care of the pets they insure.

    In the middle of a pandemic

    In the middle of a pandemic, I receive an email stating they're dropping my renters policy because of "uneven payment history." There were times I paid late but I always paid within the grace period. This company lacks in social graces and is pathetic. I've never had such a disappointing experience with a company and I'll be writing many reviews to let others know of their terrible service. I now have Geico and not only was it cheaper; but you can have a conversation with a real person capable of empathy.

    They Are Tricky and Unempathetic, AVOID! Not worth the low cost.

    When trying to file a claim for stolen items, they claimed it did not meet my deductible and would not help me further despite the additional information and police report I tried to provide. They refused to help me and were extremely sarcastic, which was extremely disheartening after having financial information and expensive items stolen. You can give them hundreds to thousands of dollars over time but will not help you when it comes time to make a claim. Beware!!!

    Excellent service, highly recommended! Approval took less than 10 minutes for a $900K policy (I am in good health with limited medical history). The real story here was how quickly they turned around a collateral assignment (needed to provide for my lender). They did this same day - huge kudos to the service team. Use this company for life insurance.

    Great if you enjoy interacting with bots

    Luckily, I've not yet had to file a claim with Lemonade. From what others say, their claims performance is really bad, so I'm not looking forward to that. What annoys me the most about Lemonade is that it seems like there are no actual human beings running the company. I got a renter's policy with them because it was quick and easy, but there is no way to contact anyone at the company with questions. For the life of me I can't figure out when my next payment is. It's an annual policy, so yes, I'd assume my next payment would be 365 days after my first one. But is it really? Because there's no way to check. It's not stated in my billing information, and there is no "Contact Us" link anywhere. Their idiotic autobot chat "Maya" makes me want to punch something; it hasn't once properly answered a question. (The trend in autobot customer assistance is rampant and makes me not want to buy anything, anywhere, ever again.) On my list of life improvements for 2022: Find a better insurance company.

    So I thought I would try this as I am currently with Allstate. So I wanted to compare. It was very easy however, I live in a Gulf Coast, Galveston County. Nowhere in your terms of service did it say you do not cover coastal areas. It did recommend to use Allstate for another quote haha that's why I was trying to get a rate from you for! Wth and Smh!

    Lemonade is incredible. I had a horrible fire in my condo complex, and lost everything. I was so stressed thinking about what I would need to provide to insurance, but Lemonade made it so easy.     Not responsive or timely with claims

    I had high hopes for lemonade given how easy the process was to sign up for it. However, once something happens where you need to file a claim, it all goes downhill. I opened a claim for a leak through my 2nd floor bathroom to my kitchen on October 8th. On October 11th, I sent the plumbing invoice. That day, I was told my claims manager was out of office and he'd get back to me as soon as he was back. October 19th, 8 days later, I followed up, no response. On October 22nd I called (probably the 3rd or 4th time I did) and finally got a hold of someone. I sent over the estimate and was told I'd hear back by Monday. It's Tuesday and no response - and also no way to get a hold of my claims manager or backup as they never return my calls/voicemails or emails. I have a $2500 deductible and the total cost is only $5K so it's not like they're covering a huge amount for me. I am seriously considering going with another insurance provider after this mess.

    I called and notified of failure of hvac system, they told me it was unable to confirm if the policy would cover or not and that I should proceed with repair and file a claim afterwards. I proceed with the repair, filed a claim and they then rejected the claim on the grounds that it was required to have filed pre repair. Dishonest.

Each time I submit a claim to Lemonade, the process has been easy and they have turned around the approval for my claim with reimbursement within the week.     Like the forest witch, they lure you into their domain then capture your identity

    This company is NOT to be trusted. They solicit for all types of coverage, then once you apply and surrender personal information, they 'suddenly' determine that they don't offer that coverage. IE "Rental Property Insurance" only to learn that "We don't underwrite his coverage, but thank you for giving us your personal information so we can sell it on the spam market."     I hope the CTO reads this. Creating an App that is a sales funnel ONLY says it all about your company. The application process was smooth, everything else is a living nightmare. Please start developing an App that actually serves your customers when they need to access their Policy documents or see what their coverage is. Maya or whatever you AI is called, is a 1990's Telco auto phone nightmare. CEO - Fire the CTO and get someone to develop a customer app that cares about the experience of existing customers.

    Have Been Very Happy with my Policy

    I love that you do everything through their app and when you submit a claim you record a video of what occurred in your own words. I was always kept up to date within an email that the claims team was working on my claim it was taking a bit longer than expected due to volume at that time. Refund was transfer right to my bank account within a couple days. I had my pups on a previous insurance but they were awful. I have been very happy with Lemonade!

    Lemonade is dog friendly!

    Our puppy had entropion, which means that her lower eyelids were curling in and touching her eyes, very irritating for her! It required a vet and then a veterinary ophthalmologist to diagnose it and surgery to correct it, basically an eye lift. Lemonade was very responsive and covered the cost per our plan, roughly 2/3 of the entire cost was covered by Lemonade (deductible, office visits and the 20% co-pay were on us). I had a wellness plan with my vet before, but I hadn't understood how insurance covers items that the wellness plan does not, so together most things are covered or greatly reduced. I would definitely sign up for Lemonade again.

    Just filed my first claims

    Just filed my first claims for the annual visits for two of my cats. I found the process pretty easy. The only problem that I had was that I entered my bank account information incorrectly. There’s no option to correct submittal errors so I had to go through Lemonade’s support group to get that changed. Would be nice to see that as an enhancement in the future. Thanks!

    Our pup Tux had a growth on his nose that needed to be removed. We submitted the bills to Lemonade through the app, answered a few questions from the adjuster, and in a matter of days (way less than a week) we heard that the claim was being paid. Easy peasy!

    This is my first time have a dog and I have had a lot to learn. When I searched for an insurance company I talked to a couple and got a bid. When I looked up lemonade I had some questions. I was so surprised at how responsive they were. Not only did I get a great rate but talked to people that really cared and had the patience to answer all my questions. I did my first annual wellness exam and vaccinations. Again they explained to me exactly how to submit for payment. I expected at least a week but in two days it was in my account. I'm so happy I decided on Lemonade!!!!!!

    Really great company but has some issues. I really love Lemonade. Everything they do is on time, easy to use, and perfect. Claims are processed in a great manner and it is very clear what is covered and what isn't. However, what is not clear is that you cannot change your coverage midway through the year even though it is only billed monthly and can be canceled any time. For example I wanted to remove my wellness plan and was told I had to wait 11 months to do so. So I obviously canceled my plan and resubscribed without the wellness plan. This is not good customer service in my opinion and they are banking on the fact that you do not want to restart the waiting periods or get into a bad situation with pre-existing conditions to get more money out of you. Not good!

    We are new to pet insurance

    We are new to pet insurance. This was our first experience with a pet insurance company and I cannot say enough good things about Lemonade! Everything was SUPER EASY, all done online. I submitted my first claim for our new kitten’s well visit and it was approved and paid within 2 *seconds*. It’s well worth the cost. We ended up only spending 20.00 for his exam. I’m thrilled with Lemonade and will use them in the future as long as they keep doing business this way!

    Best Pet Insurance

    I unfortunately had to do a claim because my kitten had to be hospitalized, it did take a bit longer than expected but it is completely understandable. At the end of the day I was reimbursed for what my policy said I’d be reimbursed for. I’m thankful for Nikita for checking in on my kitten. Truly appreciated!

    Fast support, amazing service

    Lemonade has been amazing. I started off three years ago with renters insurance and unfortunately had to file a claim. The process was extremely quick, and the reimbursement was deposited in my account the next day. Since then I've also signed on with their Pet Insurance policy and the coverage is the same as my previous provider and around half the cost.

    Two new Boston Terrier puppies insured

    We purchased two new puppies since one of our older two dogs passed away and wanted to try getting insurance for a change to help alleviate surprises. No, in the long term, you probably aren't going to "make money" off of the insurance. It is not designed for that. It is designed to help you safeguard your monthly budget for covering unexpected surprises. Lemonade is one of the cheaper insurance options out there and we opted for several of the add on packages for each dog. We have already used it for wellness visits and vaccines (optional coverage). The claims process is very easy (easier after the first time since it saves your key information like vet and bank account information). It took all of 3 seconds to process two of the claims, and about 5 minutes each for two others we submitted. Nothing has ever been denied.

    Helpful! It's an excellent service if you have a pet. It will save you hundreds or even thousands for the vet cost. The wellness claim process fasts within a day, Illness takes weeks. It's still a great/necessity for anyone who has a pet. I hope the claim process for illness process faster in the future.

    A Fabulous Pet Insurance Company!!!

    This was the very first time I used this company for a pet claim on my Doodle's annual shots. Everyone was just fabulous and helpful.....it only took a couple days to get the money into my checking account! I was just thrilled and can't say enough good things!!     My experience of dealing with Lemonade employees in the handling of a recent claim when our dog was really sick was simply the best interaction I have ever experienced with the insurance industry. Not only did they quickly and clearly act in line with their policy the claims handlers were kind and considerate enough to treat us as human beings. I would recommend them to anyone (as I already have multiple times!)

    Lemonade takes away your worries.

    Wow! Who would've thought it would be so affordable and so easy too! Easy sign up, great response. No hassles. I submitted my invoices at the Vet's office and before I left the lot Lemonade was paying them.. Give this service a try. I'm 68 and on a budget even for my beloved Husky. But this is a plan that really is an investment!

    Their customer service is always stellar. But their pet policies are lacking. They told me they’re working on expanding the coverage for puppies. But as of now; what they cover and what is required to keep your puppies healthy are not on the same page.

    Formerly hesitant, not anymore

    I have now two policies with Lemonade, renters insurance and pet insurance. I was relatively hesitant at first glance because of how cheap the policies were and i wanted nothing but the best coverage for my dog. For the absolute best coverage with the most options and benefits, it was STILL cheaper than our previous insurance policy that was only base accident and illness coverage. That hesitation was short lived and now i recommend it to all of my friends after I took my dog to the vet and everything was covered and I literally received the money i had spent the very same day. Very grateful to have taken the chance with lemonade and if you are even slightly hesitant, please use this review as the confidence boost you will need to sign up. My only complaint is that I'm upset with myself for not committing sooner.

    Acute kidney failure!

    My cat had severe acute kidney failure. Lemonade really came through after our emergency vet, then hospital transfer. My cat didn’t make it but it was nice knowing we didn’t have to make medical decisions based on $$ because Lemonade had our back!

    Katrina handled the claim fairly quickly and fully in our favor. Payment was deposited next day. Very satisfied with the service provided and would definitely recommend Lemonade to all pet owners. I also like the tech-heavy features. At first it may seem annoying to have to record a video describing the incident, but it's clearly helpful for them to process and I was able to show my dog's healing injury.

    My 11 month old puppy was throwing up everything she ate for almost 3 days. Dinner, peanut butter and treats. I took her to the Vet and he wanted to do an UGI, to see if she swallowed something that wouldn’t digest. Since she picks up just about anything and tries to eat it. Or possibly had an obstruction at her pyloric sphincter. I actually didn’t worry too much about the cost. Since I knew I would get reimbursed for some of it. I was able to worry about just her, and not the cost. My reimbursement was in my checking account within a week. It’s easier to pay a little each month, than a lot at one time.

    I was a little nervous about Lemonade…

    I was a little nervous about Lemonade since it is not one of the big names that you usually associate with pet insurance. But someone at the dog park told me about lemonade and when I adopted my six year old golden doodle, I went ahead and got insurance. It was much less than the other name brand pet insurance companies. When my golden doodle then subsequently aspirated within six weeks of me adopting him and came down with aspiration pneumonia, Danielle at lemonade was absolutely amazing. My dog was at the emergency clinic for four nights. Danielle was very empathetic, kept me abreast of the process and ultimately I received all of the expenses reimbursed according to the plan I picked. I couldn’t have been happier with the process. I’ve since recommended Lemonade to several dog owners at the dog park that I frequent. Thanks Lemonade!

    Great for pet insurance

    Lemonade is great, they’re easy to use and fast, efficient and friendly when filing claims. Wouldn’t have asked for a better pet insurance company. I usually get my refund within 1 week but when I had larger amounts it took about 2-3 weeks which isn’t so bad either.
