The Application Process

You can apply for a Discover card online or over the phone if you meet the following requirements:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Have a US address
  • Have a Social Security number
  • Can show proof of college enrollment (if applying for a student card)

Before you apply, you can check whether you would be pre-approved by entering details such as your name, address, total gross annual income, and Social Security number into the lender’s online tool. You’ll then see the APR and offers you could potentially qualify for.

If you’re applying for the Secured Card, you’ll need to provide a refundable security deposit when you apply. The amount of this deposit will become your credit limit.

Discover doesn’t have a minimum score requirement as it will review your credit score as part of your overall financial situation. However, you’re likely to need a good or excellent score if you’re applying for a high-paying rewards card.

In most cases, you’ll receive an instant decision on your application, although this could take longer if the lender needs to verify any of the information in your application.

Once your card has arrived, you can activate it online or by contacting Discover’s customer services.

    Pleasantly surprised.

Sold my car quickly and for a great price. Came and picked up my car the next day. Quick and hassle free. I had no idea they would just buy my car w/o me buying a car from them.

Don’t trust them, they lie so much about everything

Horrible! I will NEVER do business with Carvana again! My car was delivered as promised, but once I started inspecting the car I noticed it has more damage then it was listed on the actual site and description of the car. The delivery person said to take pictures and send it to him and he would take those and send them into Carvana/silver rock. Fast forward to a few weeks later, I took my car to the body shop to get fixed since it was approved for it. The body shop then tells me that silver rock and Carvana only approved one scratch! 1! Out of 13 pictures and damages they only approved one scratch. When I called Carvana to find out what had happened the agent told me that Carvana and silver rock determined that the damage they will cover was only 1 scratch and the rest “meets their standard” for a used car. I told the woman that it’s not fair to deliver a car that you didn’t disclose the damages of. I asked her if she knew that Carvana didn’t disclose the damages, she said yes that is correct but that Carvana would still not honor their promise to fix it. I asked their legal team information and she gave me that, a few hours later she called back and profusely apologized and swore up and down that she would get it taken care of herself, apologized in the way I was treated and that she understands how frustrating it must be. She really played her part in that one, it’s been a week. I haven’t heard anything from silver rock or Carvana so I decided to check in and to my surprise the woman that was “helping” me is no longer available to help and the person who I was on the phone with all of a sudden turned into “management team” and said sorry but we aren’t going to approve that because of standards. This company is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. They do not care about customers at all.

Carvana "we will drive you crazy"

Tried purchasing a car from Carvana few weeks ago, but I couldn't get the company to drop off a running car for $16k. The first car they dropped off was a 2013 Toyota Yaris with 70k miles on it that they wanted $15k for. Car delivery went ok and the representatives were really friendly. Immediately I noticed the car was rough idling, acting like it was going to stall, and having severe transmission issues. I told the rep dropping the car off that I wasn't interested in the car and that he should take it back. He told me that he didn't have time to take it back but it wasn't an issue and I should arrange a pickup. Arranged a swap for a 2013 Toyota Corolla that was delayed. A Carvana advocate notified me that I should not drive the Yaris in the meantime and that I should take an Uber the rest of the week and they would cover the bill. The Corolla arrived a week later and seemed to be in OK condition at first but because of my previous experience I wanted to take it in to have it looked at by a mechanic. Carvana tried to get me to go to their mechanics which don't seem like they know what they are doing since they let a car that was practically breaking down be sold off their lot. The mechanic looked at the vehicle and noticed the engine had oil leaking out of two separate locations. I canceled the sale and sent all my receipts to the company for reimbursement. When I followed up they told me that they would need to send the reimbursement through an approval process that could take almost 3 months and that I probably wouldn't get any money back because I didn't actually purchase from them. Now here I am prepping to take this shady company to small claims. AVOID CARVANA.

8k below kbb? Hard pass. Dealership inbound

I was offered 7k less than dealerships and 8k below kbb. It’s hard to do business when you get lowballed. Maybe that’s why I’ve read mostly negative comments and reviews and it seems the business model isn’t long term. Guess I’ll just head to a dealership so I’m not getting completely taken advantage of only mostly

Carvana and SilverRock are a horrible combination

The carvana process (still unfolding) was truly painful. From the app not supporting the upload of the required documents, the mandate browser usage to a damaged vehicle delivery. The damage (scrapes) have been the most painful as they don't have a shop, in their network, near me and I have been forced to find my own and navigate their approvals. Literally to fix the relatively minor damage the truck showed up with, I am shuttling between auto body shops, negotiating waiving the deductible for damage I did not cause and making sure each of the shops' competing quotes are managed appropriately.

    Carvana

Carvana. I guess they have never dealt with someone who receives a 1099. All week verifying income. Three way call to the bank. Verifying checks. Never was good enough. Sent 1099 for all income. This was very stressful. Talked with several agents over the phone but.. was told something different every time. The last person we talked to last night at 8:50 PM was not a very pleasant person she seem like she was trying so hard for us not to get this vehicle . We wanted a smooth transition without going to the dealership but… guess we will be going to the dealership and giving them $30,000.

    Fraud and Negligence

I purchased a car from Carvana May 2021 in Oklahoma. They did not provide the registration or tags with 30 days as legally required and it resulted in the car being repossessed. Their staff assured me through the end of May that nothing was needed from me. I was told to disregard mailings and take no action. Towards the beginning of June, I was told that they needed to resubmit our transaction in their system to ensure the car could be registered. I had a temporary plate at the time. I was not told that they would retry my credit. And with this action, their financing partner (Bridgecrest) was unable to recognize me as a customer. I was unable to pay my loan. It was not disclosed until October 2021 that I would need to pay this once the purchase was resubmitted. In August, I advised the company that I would be relocating over 1,000 miles. Despite being 3 months in (with an advised 90-day turnaround), the company was unable to complete the registration before my move. They refused to provide coverage for the week-long journey back to the state of purchase (required for state process). A temporary plate was provided, and the company offered to move the purchase to Florida. They did not advise of potential price adjustments or impact to the contract. In December, I reached out for a new temporary plate. The request was denied. They submitted the purchase incorrectly to Oklahoma between November and February. I was not notified of the registration in Oklahoma until after the car was impounded for abandonment (due to no tags or registration) in early April. With the final Florida contract, the monthly price of the vehicle increased. No notification was provided that the loan would immediately be in default because it applied to the back-balance. The contract was falsified back to May 2021 and does not reflect the 3/17 signing.

I wanted this to work, I really did.

I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Carvana and gave up after two attempts. The first vehicle had been in some sort of accident. The lower body had been repainted and front bumper improperly re-attached. You could only see this if it was on a lift. Repairs like this if done at owner cost (as opposed to insurance) would not show up on Carfax. The second vehicle, they called from the emissions site saying the moonroof wouldn't close, so I told them to not even bother delivering it and take it back. Did not want it. So either they are not properly, fully inspecting vehicles or they are not disclosing known issues. Neither is good. I will also say their finance rates are not terribly good. If you have decent credit, you can probably be assured a better rate from a number of places. Having said that, the actual people I worked with were professional and pleasant. Their shopping system and online contract handling is terrific. But none of that really matters if they aren't vetting the vehicles properly.

Owned by a family of felons

Absolutely awful experience. Company is founded and owned by a conflicted felon and his loan shark dad. (Stock is tanking and proven to be a Ponzi scheme). They’re actually a loan company (not a car company) and their model is to feed heavily off those with bad credit via sub-prime financing (think 2008). Should have expected the incompetent service (8 different reps telling me 7 different things), shady practices (changing contracts without consent), and forceful tactics (don’t get their bogus warranties) to get more and more money out of you (even after the 4th “No”). Once it got down to the paperwork, and reading the fine print, I walked out. I suggest not wasting the same time I did.

    Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I’ve been waiting 5 months for my vehicle registration and they still have not been able to figure it out. Also, I tried to buy a second car from them and the process is nothing but slow and after they already approved me and told me that I don't have to put a down payment, 5 days later into the process they told me that they want a 2k+ downpayment so they gave me a misleading down and monthly payment. This guys instead of “driving you happy”, they will “drive you crazy”. Avoid doing business with them if you can

Not as hassle-free as it would seem...

I purchased from Carvana not because I wanted to avoid a car dealer, etc., but because they had the vehicle I wanted. Specifically, I wanted a truck with hard-to-find options. Pressing the button to buy after finding the vehicle was easy. Next I was asked for details on how I would pay for the vehicle, anti-theft info (drivers license, etc). All of this was pretty standard. A date was set for delivery. But next, Carvana wanted my finance information. Their rates (something around 6%) were significantly worse than then 2.2% I received from my credit union. So I opted to finance the vehicle myself. But there was no convenient way to get both the lender connected to Carvana and vice-versa. Eventually, by writing notes and talking on the phone I was able to accomplish this. Next Carvana kept asking for the same information multiple times, requests for e-sign documents, etc. At one point, they asked for information one morning while I was at work and all the information was at my house. They gave me a deadline of noon that day (!?!) I didn't get information in the system until the evening and this pushed out my delivery by a week or so. That seemed totally unnecessary. I was scheduled for a Friday morning, 9AM delivery. At about 30-till-nine, I get a call the the vehicle won't fit on the truck and would it be OK if they drove the truck to me and then Uber'ed back to HQ. I opted to drive to the truck myself to avoid a mishap late in the game. This also was unexpected. Fortunately, I had taken the day off anticipating some kind of problem. I signed all the paperwork and took the truck home. Next I received a call that some signatures were missed, got a FedEx and had to sign additional docs. No sweat, but I have to find a FedEx drop-off now to send these back. Then I get a text saying "Hi Stephen, this is Carvana checking in. We hope you are well. Due to the impact of COVID-19, there may be some delays in registering your new Ram 3500 Mega Cab. Rest assured, we will continue to update you as things develop, and you can respond to this message with questions." Well, that doesn't sound good. Are they sitting on the tax money I paid and not forwarding it or are they apologizing for the tax office's potentially slow response? I asked about this and got "We get started right after the 7 Day Money Back Guarantee and do our very best to finish before your temporary plate expires. You can find more information on your registration status here: ****" The link didn't work. My temporary tag expires six weeks after purchase. It sounds like they may not forward the tax money for six weeks. If so, this is a real problem...

Caveat Emptor When It's this Sight Unseen

First let me say over the two weeks it took to buy the car, the dozen or so associates my wife and I dealt with were unfailingly polite and patient. Part of the breakdown in the process was our lack of technology and expertise in that area. But there was a lot wrong with the process. The car was listed as AWD, but after going through hours of phone calls - them helping us, I noticed Carfax says it's FWD. Oops their bad. That's about what the perky sales associate said. She did however stay on the line and find me another car. However, I explained it's a big deal to be off on a detail that big. She apologized. To compensate us for the loss of time, it was hours, we are getting a 50.00 check in 4- 8 weeks. Carvana's big claim is to deliver it right to your door. Two hours before delivery, we get a call. Sorry can't make it you can we meet at 3rd party site. Don't worry if you can't make this. You can always reschedule. They had us over a barrel so we caved and drove to them. There was no owner's manual like the promised. The delivery driver said hail had chipped the windshield but he had an appointment scheduled. Safelight did come to our house, but we had to be here - again a change in plans. The tech arrived. That was an old chip already repaired. So sorry, Carvana incompetence strikes again, but they are the most polite, cheerful incompetents that I ever met. When I test drove it, the right front wheel at speed bounced like a pogo stick. There much hyped 150 point inspection is you. They couldn't have checked this car out at all. But to their credit, they paid for a rebalancing and alignment. What is the best about Carvana is they could care less if you buy from them or not. That's also what is worse. They have no skin in the game. I will never buy a car from Carvana again. They have managed to do what I didn't think possible. Put more of the effort, responsibility, and 'selling' on you than even Car Max does.

    Difficult process

Difficult process. Required more paperwork for financing because I am on disability. Changed my delivery date five times and then sent me a vehicle that they said that they had certified but had not. It came from a dealership and they had never seen the vehicle in person. The front bumper was badly damaged and would have to be replaced. The back bumper had bad scratches on it. There were chips in paint and scratches all over the vehicle. There was a dent in the door. It started leaking oil. I put two quarts of oil in it in three days. In other words, they sent me a lemon, unknowingly, but they should have known. I rejected the vehicle and was sent another vehicle that runs well mechanically, but they misrepresented the exterior issues. I was so impressed because they identify chips and scratches and show pictures. Don't be fooled. One of my "chips" was a chip in the paint where there was a dent. No mention of the dent and you know they saw it. Another deep scratch was not mentioned as well as other imperfections. Obviously, a used car is not going to be perfect, but Carvana should be honest. They give you a video on the inside but it doesn't tell the truth. The storage area in the back of my vehicle is scared very badly on both sides. I don't know how it was possible for the previous owner to even do this much damage. They say you get a seven day trial period. They cut mine off a day early. When I called, they always say they don't know why that happened. That it hasn't happened before. I did get a two day extension, but all decisions will be made by their insurance company. Doesn't matter that I was misled on some things. They are not responsible or accountable. Their financing is not competitive. Look at the details. You get a reasonable payment but it is stretched over 5-6 years and you end up with an upside down loan. This process start from finish took a month out of my life. Dealing with a shady car salesperson at a dealership doesn't look that bad to me anymore. I won't use Carvana in the future.

    Carvana Screws Over Struggling Mother

I paid over $20,000 in full for a car that lasted 2 months because the transmission now needs an immediate $4,000 repair! Our mechanic found motor oil & metal shavings where the transmission fluid is supposed to go which is not a minor issue. I've waited WEEKS for a resolution (still not resolved) & I'm a struggling mom with a 7 month old baby. This is without a doubt the worst company you could ever do car business with & I'm not going to be silent about it.

Worst experience ever. I got jerked around for a week being told they couldn't provide the information to my lienholder that I needed. I was asked for and provided the same information four or five times, only to be told again that they didn't have it. Complete incompetence all around and a blatant disregard for their customers.

Carvana car is filthy, and a health hazard.

First time financing a vehicle. Carvanas website along with the 150 point inspection claim to clean and detail the vehicle. This vehicle came WREAKING of cigarette smoke. There are cigarette ashes PILED on the steering wheel near the dash. The dash had animal hair and dust every where. There are ashes and stains all over. There is gum caked in the back floor. This is a literal health hazard. I love the car, Mitsubishi inspected it and said it was in good shape. Oh it also says it comes with floor covers, the floors are bare. They want to offer 200 bucks to detail, but to detail a crossover this size to the extent that it needs is upwards of 400-600 bucks. When I told them this, they said they can help me look for a cheaper detailer. Why should I pay out of pocket for something that is supposed to be a standard of service on this vehicle!! If I return it, theyll clean it and resell it. I'm infuriated. I want to love carvana and this car so badly, but I'm just so disappointed.

I bought a 2014 bmw 535i and honestly it has been the worst car purchase ever ! This particular model is the one I wanted and I agreed if everything was fixed I would keep the car no problem! Problem after problem. Issues with control arm brushings replacements, brake line replacements, needs shock absorbers, brakes now click and seem to be other issues going on. Now I’m stuck with a high car payment and loads of repairs to do ! Upon that they say that there cars are accident free and they stand on that. That is a complete lie this car has definitely been in a accident even though it is not on the car fax report ! bumper has a crappy paint job with drips meaning bumper was replaced and painted ! which I didn’t notice until months later taking a good look at the car all around. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car from carvana ! Had the car little over 6 months. Can’t drive it in the highway because control arms need to be replaced car shakes really bad. Even though I went bmw delearship which claim they have fixed it. Silver rock will not fix certain things even though there within there guidelines ! Look elsewhere to buy a car please save yourself the headaches. If it was 1 or 2 problems and it was fixed it wouldn’t be so bad but to get a car that’s a lemon out the gate and your now stuck with all the problems and expensive loan is wrong. This car has definitely been in a front end accident and carvana choose to go ahead and sell cars that are messed up! Please do yourself a favor if you choose to buy a car from them get 2-3 mechanics to run through the car with a fine comb !

I attempted to purchase vehicles from CARVANA twice, one on December 2021 and the 2nd one on April 2022 and both experiences were BAD! Go to YouTube and look for the "Carvana Review 2022" video from iManagement Solutions Please be sure to share that video with all of your family and friends.

    Horrible Carvana Experience

Recently purchased a vehicle from Carvana. All the documents for the purchase were completed (including the loan). I even received email and voicemail confirmation from Carvana that the purchase was done and I owned a car. Several days later, I received email from Carvana that the car had previously been purchased and I did not own it after all, due to an error on their website. They wanted me to purchase a similar vehicle, for an additional $2,000 out of my pocket. This may be breach of contract and bait-and-switch. Stay as far away from Carvana as possible!

Carvana agreed to cover damages to my vehicle they had failed to initially report, then continued to shift reasons to not cover them. Carvana has been dishonest and deceptive.

This has been a complete nightmare. Carvana has lied to me and walked away from repairing defects on my vehicle they repeatedly stated they would honor. I purchased my vehicle, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, from Carvana in March 2021. Carvana states they do a 150 Pt inspection on the vehicle. On the day the purchase was delivered I took the vehicle to Five Star Hyundai, and paid for my own inspection. The dealership's service department discovered lights did not work, the air filter was so filthy it was black, and the serpentine belt needed to be replaced. After an uncomfortable back and forth with Silver Rock these defects were covered. I also discovered additional dents, dings and scratches on the vehicle that were not pointed out by Carvana on their website. Carvana agreed to cover these. In addition to the cosmetic defects, the front bumper on the vehicle had a huge gap in it where it was suppose to be connected to the car. Carvana's manager said that it 'probably needed to be pinned' and that they would cover this damage. Well, I took the car to Maaco body shop to get the estimate. Maaco discovered that the bumper on the car was not the correct bumper for the car and that the vehicle had suffered front end damage and an after market bumper had been placed on the car. Per the bodyshop, due to the bumper being a bumper other than the original manufacturer's part, it would not fit correctly and it could not just be pinned as Carvana's manager asserted. Per Maaco, I would need an entirely new bumper. I was also informed by Maaco that because of the type of paint job on the car their paint job would not last as long as the dealership and they may not be able to fully replicate the paint job. The Maaco Supervisor told me this. She suggested I take the car to a dealership body shop. Through all of this I kept Carvana informed and they were sent the estimate. However, I informed Carvana of what Maaco stated about the paint job and said I wanted to get my car done at a dealership. Unfortunately at this time, I was not around any dealerships with body shops and all the dealerships I called, even those located in other cities were booked up for weeks. I wanted to make sure I sent my estimate on time as Carvana had a deadline. However, Carvana's agents repeatedly told me there was no specific timeframe to have the work covered and it would be covered as long as I had my estimate in on time. When I went to get the car fixed Carvana rejected the repairs. They rejected ALL OF THEM. They said I did not get the repairs done in a reasonable amount of time. I had repeatedly asked them on multiple calls what the timeframe was and their agents stated to me there was no specific timeframe and that they would honor the damages as long as the estimate was in on time. The body shops and car repair shops were all booked up for several weeks. Also, I was not physically located around a dealership at that time. Carvana was given ample and repeat opportunity to specify a specific timeframe for getting the actual repairs done with me. Each time their agents said as 'as long as the estimate was in on time' they would honor the damages. I reached out to Carvana repeatedly to cover my repairs. Repairs they stated they would cover. Finally I reached Nicole King in Escalations. She was very helpful and courteous but the answer from Carvana changed AGAIN. Now Carvana wanted ME to cover the close to $3,200 in damages out of pocket, in the middle of a pandemic, and stated they would 'REIMBURSE ME'. There answers have continued to change. Carvana has acted very deceptive and very dishonest with me. This is wrong. I demand that my damages be covered, including the bumper that needs to be replaced (Carvana never informed me about front end damage either) and that Carvana also respond to this complaint with the name and address of their registered agent for Georgia. MY RESPONSE TO CARVANA'S CANNED RESPONSE. - No. I will not contact your customer service number. Throughout the months I have placed multiple calls to your customer service department. I have spoken with managers, supervisors, and even escalation agent Nicole King. The answers from these individuals have always been either a flat out refusal to cover the damages you contractually agreed to cover, or constant shifting on how the damages would be covered. I will not put myself through that type of mental anguish again. If Carvana was serious about assisting me, they would not leave a canned response asking me to contact customer care when I have done that repeatedly. They would simply ask me to provide my contact information to them through this forum which I would have done. Carvana is unethical, dishonest, and they are Frauds for having bailed on a contractual agreement to cover damages they failed to tell me about.

    Do NOT recommend

First, our delivery got pushed back by a week. Typically this wouldn't be a big issue...except we were moving 3,000 miles away the day after the car was set to be delivered. This meant we had 1 day to test drive the car before we had to decide to keep it, as opposed to the 7 day return (because of mileage and we were going to be on the road for 6+ days). Carvana called us immediately after I got the notification that delivery was delayed and said that to make up for the trouble they would be mailing us a check for $250. That would have softened the blow a bit had they not been lying. It has now been over a month and a half and still no check. I called carvana and they said the $250 is not guaranteed but has to be approved. That is not how it was proposed to us on the phone mind you. Also, our $250 "proposal" was categorized incorrectly originally so it was denied and now has to be resubmitted. I was told this process can take 45-60 BUSINESS days and again there is no guarantee. Next, our brake lights went on within 12 hours of having the car. There was MANY, MANY phone calls back and forth on various days with Carvana (and Silver Lake), documentation through the portal etc. within the 7 day trial period. It turned out it was a faulty brake sensor and would cost about $175 to replace. Carvana actually called us and said they would cover the costs. Although, when I submitted out claim for reimbursement with Silver Rock they denied the claim and said Carvana had no documentation that this was an issue within the first 7 days. My mind is blown because I was on the phone with Carvana regarding this issue almost every single day I was driving across the country. Not to mention I submitted photos of the dashboard on day 5 through a portal I was texted. I called Carvana to ask them to send all this documentation to Silver Lake....and they really claimed there was no documentation...not even of them ever speaking with me! Moving on, after my partner and I looked at the paperwork we received with the car and we saw that it was actually overdue for an oil change. Seeing as we were about to drive 3k miles we immediately made an appt in the nearest state that was en route. The least carvana can do is sell us a car that that does not need an oil change immediately. ($125 cost) HERE is the real kicker. Day of delivery we anxiously wait for the driver, who kept good communication about when he was arriving. The driver arrives...WITH THE WRONG CAR. 5 hours later we receive the correct car (only making me 45 minutes late to a FUNERAL). Also our car was supposed to be delivered with 2 keys. We received 1. Carvana said they would send us the other key in the mail. Now 1-1/2 months later when I call to check in they say that they can not send us the key. We have to make an appointment with a dealership. We will see if they actually cover the cost like they said they would. Regardless this is just more of my personal time on my day off that I am spending to correct Carvana's mistakes. The only reason I am not giving one star is because my partner and I paid for the car to get a full service check and it seems other than some faulty sensors that the car is in good shape. Carvana seems too good to be true because it is. Their customer service tells you exactly what you want to hear without any intention of following through. I do NOT recommend.

Purchase went well but after-purchase was bad.

Purchase went well but after-purchase support was awful. It's been 11 months since I bought my car and I still haven't got my registration, title, plates, tags, nothing! They keep coming up with excuses that make no sense. I bought another car locally and got the title and plates within ONE HOUR myself going to the DMV, so why would it take them 11 months to fail at the same task? Now they're telling me I need to get all that stuff and pay for it myself and they claim they will reimburse me, hah, fat chance of that happening. I already paid them for all of that! Overall lame after-purchase experience. Also the car came with the wrong KEY, which they haven't addressed yet. I'm sure my car is probably stolen, which is why they have a class action lawsuit against them right now. (UPDATE: DMV says they sent the title to someone else in another state!)

Yes my car was and is that bad! bad service from Carvana and Silver rock both

Car arrived had flaws and sloppy messy paint and damage repair which wasn't listed, decided to try anyway. hood prop holder missing, washer fluid cap missing but decided to risk it still "it should have went back on the truck and back but I wanted to have faith but that was quickly over with sadly" The day after the ac blew steaming hot air, had to drive 85 miles one way to one of the in network service places or pay a dectuable for a car i just bought "they come with a 100-4,069ish mile basic coverage" you can buy more if you want to pay for it. Ac compressor was shot, silver rock the horrid warranty place did cover it and have it fixed.... Three days later the belt is shredding and the oil change light comes on, given this car has been inspected according to CARVANA and the 150 point inspection "no they didn't because it should have had oil changed, the ac should have been fixed prior the hood prop and the washer fluid cap replaced, They pulled the clear mudguard off the rear driver side door and the glue is still there collecting dirty and dust, the silver spray paint over the polished rims they did is flaking off and they even painted the tail pipe and the rear struts the same off shade as the rear of the car behind the two rear doors and also painted the black bumper trim the same color as the car and never added the pin stripes back so I have 75% stripes, it's a horrid horrid horrid repair job and inspection as they call it" I reached out to silver rock warranty service which is owned by Carvana / Drivetime they are all the same family owned they said nope the belts no covered nor oil that's maintenance.… yes it is but I still today 4/29/2022 have barely broken 4100 miles and they oil life in them is set for 5k..... The whole 150 point service doesn't add up at all when the cars are set from Toyota at 5k services and they showed on the paperwork i have that all the things listed are checked and good or repaired before being sold... My car is a Voodoo Blue Scion xB which is one of the special release series and it stands out like one couldn’t believe with that color and people always ask about it and I tell them the horror story about the whole deal when they ask where it came from. I should have rejected the car but wanted to give them a chance, I wouldn;t ever second think it now sadly being stuck with this horrible two town bad paint and patch job I've ended up with from them :( They buy high to get cars off the market so they can show they are flipping cars and look to be doing better than they are it's a wash and flip at best and couldn’t care to check the cars they sell and put people into, some are likely ok, I would say a 15-85% chance you will get what’s shown and not have some headaches….. I did the trade back on my car before logging back in the offer was almost 12k, when I put where my car was from with the vin boom down to 9k fishy a bit yeah they know the story of that car and how it was doctored up and made to look ok for photos but not in person Shame shame on you Carvana and Silver rock!

Don't back up verbal agreements...can't trust the reps.

Found a vehicle I wished to purchase. The Carvana rep opened my account and assured me she put a 72 hour lock on the car, to allow me time to get financing in place and have my wife look at a similar car locally for approval. When I reached out to Carvana at 58 hours to complete the purchase, they told me the car was under the purchasing process with another buyer within the last hour. They made no effort to correct this blatant breach of a verbal agreement on their part, but simply wanted me to buy a different car from them. FYI, the rep immediately disconnected my call when I disclosed I was on a recorded line, and they don't have customer service email that I can find. IMO, they don't want to have any written or verbal trace of what their reps agree to do. I would stay away based on my experience, which I initially thought would be a good one, but they made into a terrible one of frustration and disappointment. Update. I got a call from a Carvana manager. She listened to their recorded line...yes they do record calls. She apologized for mistakes on their end. I was misinformed by their rep, which she explained needed more training. Based upon her professionalism and willingness to admit mistakes, I would look at doing business with Carvana again for the right buying opportunity if were a substantial savings over local opportunities.

    Amazing experience from the start

Amazing experience from the start. So easy and convenient. As soon as I chose my car I was given a few financing options. Everything was done on line. I was able to check my rates without affecting my credit score. Finished it all in an hour or so on a Wednesday and I had my car around 4:00 pm on Friday. The driver was so polite and she explained everything. I was driving around in my new convertible 20 minutes later. Carvana allows you to try out the car for a week and if you are not satisfied you can exchange it or return it. You will also receive an email from Silver Rock which is the company that takes care of any repairs cosmetic or mechanic that you might need. Obviously, you have time to have the car completely inspected by your mechanic. I believe you have about 3 months to make the repairs after that initial one-week trial period. I am in love with my car. It is awesome to drive, and it looks great. It's been about 9 months since I bought it. I don't think I will ever again go to a dealership. Carvana is unbelievably great.

Beware of more than the fine print - the unwritten rules.

I am writing this for my son, who would never do something like this. He purchased a car from Carvana, had it delivered. He knew right away he wasn't going to want the car, the pictures and description were not a true picture of the car. He called within in an hour after his purchase and said he wanted to return it. The said they would be out in a few days to pick it up. Nowhere in the contract does it say, or did anyone ever say that my son had to be there for the return. He had it delivered to our house because he was in-between places of employment/living arrangements, moving 1800 miles away. As he was due to start a new job in a few days, my husband gave our son his truck and he left his car with us to handle. When Carvana found out our son was not there, they would not come pick it up, stating it was their policy "that the owner had to be there for the return". Again, this is not written anywhere, nor were we told. They also stated a supervisor would call me back within two days. It has almost been two days. They took my son's money and we are in limbo, right now. To be continued. This is listed under my son Cameron Cohen, area code 715.

    The absolute worst experience ever

The absolute worst experience ever. I purchased a vehicle, completed everything and received confirmation of delivery - Seemed like everything was good, UNTIL I was notified a day before delivery that the car was being “pushed” (Carvana’s term for not delivering on time) in the meantime I had sold my vehicle forcing me to pay for a rental. IT GETS WORSE (much worse). The car delivery was “pushed 2 additional times”. The 3rd time that it was delayed was enough for me…. I tried to call customer service, but the immature children taunt you, and tell you it’s your fault - REALLY….. Pathetic excuse for a business - do a little research - I wish I did (CEO is a convicted felon who spent years in prison) save your time and money

    Beware!!!!

My husband and I purchased an SUV from Carvana back in May 2021 and less than a year later it had started to break down. My husband took it to the shop and was told that he needed a new transaxle and transmission. The total cost on the lower end is $5,600. Make sure you have an extra-long extended warranty on your vehicle if you go through Carvana. My husband called Carvana many times over to see if they could partially pay for the repairs and pretty much was told he was s**t out of luck. Big-time companies really know how to screw ppl over. We’re stuck still paying $440 a month for a $17,00 vehicle we can’t fix because we can’t afford it. Thanks , Carvana for leaving a family of 6, with one vehicle.

    Purchased a truck through Carvana

Purchased a truck through Carvana, also purchased their Silver Rock insurance coverage. The truck turned out to have some damage that Carvana said would be taken car of by Carvana and Silver Rock as part of the purchase agreement. Now, I am having issues with the repairs. I had to rent another truck that is now going on 4 weeks of rental, which I cannot afford and I am being told 95% will have to be paid by me. That was not part of our agreement. I am trying to find a Manager at Carvana to talk to, but all I get are Advocates that have no authority to do anything to assist with the situation. Beware before you by!

Mis-labeled cars, unable to meet deliveries

I first ordered a Mini Cooper for my wife who wanted a manual transmission the second week of April. The car was listed as a manual, even making me confirm that I knew it was not an automatic. Luckily, I noticed before it was shipped that it was labeled incorrectly. I called and cancelled, swapping to a car that was labeled correctly, but this made me lose my delivery spot of Saturday, April 16th. I selected a delivery date of April 23rd, giving Carvana a full 2 weeks to arrange delivery for the day they listed as available. The day before the car arrived, after insurance was purchased and my schedule was rearranged, I received a text that it was delayed. I have no confidence in Carvana. The reps are nice, and that's the only good thing I can say about this company. The process fails and the quality control is non-existant in my experience.

    I would not recommend Carvana

I would not recommend Carvana. I reported problems before my 1 week "trial" was up. Their warranty co. Is Silver Rock. I'll be paying 14 percent interest on a 2010 Camry for almost 7 yrs. I had a garage look over the vehicle before purchasing. Needed approx. $1900 of work. Not a huge deal if they were honest. Not the case. Carvana does NOT stand behind their vehicles, even with their "warranty". My recommendatio is don't use this place. They are being investigated...

Don’t take it from us take it from our customers, OK here’s a reality check carvana sucks ass buying the car was simple yes everything else after that has been absolutely terrible! So here’s my issue they gave me two temp tags, when I still did not receive my registration my tags they said there was nothing they could do! I said I have no updated plates i’m constantly being pulled over anybody in the military knows you have to go through the gate to get on base their response to me Word for Word you’ll have to Uber or Lyft and we can reimburse you and that can take months and I got mad because this is not my dayum fault. On top of that my daughter is eight hours away in Tennessee and I can’t drive to go see my kid every single time I call it’s I need to send them this I need to send them that things I are already signed when I got the car number one number two every time I call it something different they needed address verification I sent it three different times three different documents they said I was good to go I called about two weeks later cause I still haven’t heard anything and she said oh they need to be within 60 days nobody told me that every time I’m on the phone all I get it I’m sorry I understand how frustrating it is no you don’t because you don’t care and every time I call somebody they said I will personally handle your case I’ll call you back when I hear something and they never fn do they just say things to make you think that they care I told him if I don’t get my tags by the end of April I’m suing look it up guys I’m not the first one I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever recommend carvana to anybody worst experience even more so the fact they’re the reason why I can’t go home to see my baby. I would give Carvana no stars

I would give Carvana no stars. I will never purchase and will recommend no one purchases a vehicle from Carvana. Delivery was delayed a week because the driver noticed there was smoke coming the engine. When the vehicle did arrive we noticed the dome didn't work, the roof weather stripping was missing, windshield washer was inop, driver door widow free travels. Worst part I had to pay $150 in deductible fees for these repairs. After talking with Carvana customer service the deductible was reduced from $150 to $50...still disappointed that we had to pay...suggest anyone purchasing a vehicle from Carvana have a mechanic look over the vehicle and not believe Carvana completed a 100 point vehicle inspection before delivering the vehicle

Don’t purchase from Carvana, they support subpar lenders that don’t care about the consumer.

Don’t purchase from Carvana and accept their financing with Bridgecrest. I have filed complaints with State of Ohio Attorney Generals Office, Better Business Bureau, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and are waiting for responses from Bridgecrest. I have called back Kristie B. from compliance like they wanted and left multiple voicemails and still no response from her either. I have paid my car in full and have asked for an adjustment on my credit report due to some issues on their back end including discrepancies. All I've asked is paid in full appear on my credit reports as it should appear and removing some late payments that appear or just remove the account entirely from my credit report if its that hard to make an adjustment. I do not recommend Carvana and Bridgecrest. By the way their title process is a nightmare itself. It seems like it’s going to take two full months just to get my title as well.

Horrible Company! Sorry but they lie to you. They say best buying experience! That's the first lie! I am pulling out of my reserved car. Says free shipping. I have called them the last 4 days and gotten 5 different answers. $500 to ship next day free shipping next day $490 next day same representative told me again it's free then 45 minutes later it $590 to ship. So unprofessional. The car is so over priced comes with one key. It will cost another $300 to buy another key. They are unbelievable when my acct showed for 8 days on preorder free shipping then when it change to purchase status still free shipping. I am done with them!

Huge waste of time, don't buy from Carvana

Choosing the car online was easy but that's the only part that wasn't a huge issue. Delivery was rescheduled/delayed twice so I had to rearrange my schedule and pay for rental cars for almost 3 weeks after I was supposed to have my car. The car arrived in Pennsylvania in the dead of winter with water in the windshield washer fluid tank so of course it immediatly froze. This meant that I had no use of the washer fluid. Lots of wasted time figuring out what was wrong (trip to the store to get fluid just to find out that it was water/frozen, then to the mechanic to have it thawed, the plastic tank checked to make sure it wasn't cracked from freezing and then refilled). After this the paperwork fiascos started. When the car arrived I signed all of the release paperwork and power of attorney paperwork for the registration. Then I was notified that these papers were missing. They sent them to me via fedex, I had to then run around getting them notarized, finding a fedex drop off and returning them. Then they contacted me that more paperwork was missing when I had literally signed and returned every piece of paper in the envelope, the representative was unsure how to fix the problem and it took another week and 3 more phone calls to get someone who could resend the paperwork which required another round of taking off work to get things notarized and to the fedex drop box. Finally almost 90 days after my purchase my registration arrived and they had changed my address on my registration and drivers license to an address that is incorrect. When I called to inform them of this they told me that I would need to take off of work yet again to now go to the DMV to fix their mistake.

Not only that, but delivery dates, and times were promised, causing him to miss work numerous times, due to Carvana’s promises of delivery of the car, that never occurred. Never again. They wasted weeks of my time and I ended up getting 2 different loans and 2 different insurance policies for cars that never Materialized. I blame myself for believing it would be a more convenient and less hassle than a dealership. After multiple delivery delays, mechanical issues, advocates that have zero realistic information they threatened to delay my car again over a $76 discrepancy that they insisted I pay by cashiers check within 30 minutes. Hours later I bought a newer , better model for $3k more and I dont regret a penny of it.

Car purchased and delivered didn’t match features on website

Erroneous paperwork and contracts not once, but twice. They put the car I was in the process of buying back on the market mid-stream and tried to tell me it would cost $100 to purchase the car because it was listed as “pre-order” status. (Even though I had a signed contract to buy that specific car) I finally got them to understand why I would NOT be paying that $100 so they waived it and then put the car back into my account. They told me I had to re-sign the new paperwork. Except now the price was $1500 higher! Turns out they tried to sneak in a Carvana extended warranty that I had declined the first time. So they had to redo the paperwork AGAIN! We finally got that worked out and today was delivery day. VIN# and odometer matched. Color was correct. Except the car was far from what I ordered and paid for. I chose a car based on specific features I wanted including leather seats, sunroof and power lift gate. These were listed on my order as features on the car I was purchasing. The car they delivered, with the matching VIN#, had none of these feature. Cloth seats. No sunroof. No power lift gate. And it wasn’t the trim I ordered. It was a bare bones cruddy base trim model. Carvana is a fraud. They have been a nightmare for 3 weeks. They made me insure this car before purchase so I’ve been paying for insurance on a car that I don’t even own, and quite literally doesn’t even exist. And my car loan had to be canceled and my bank has to now fight to get that money back since they already paid them out. And when I get up the nerve to try to buy a car again I have to apply for a whole new car loan which will be another hard credit pull and drop my stellar credit score even more. Don’t do business with Carvana. Listen to the complaints. Read up on the many lawsuits pending. They are a scam and fraudulent company.

    Terrible Experience

There is no value added beyond convenience of having your car dropped off. I have been waiting 5 months for the title to my car. They absolutely suck at registering your car with the State. Will never buy from them again. Reply to Carvana's Reply below: As much as I would love to wait on hold for 30 minutes to speak with someone who has no idea what's going on, I think I will pass.

    Purchased a Honda CR-V on November 8

Purchased a Honda CR-V on November 8, 2021. Paid in full. We decided to hire a lawyer for $500 to send a certified letter because the 4 month temporary plate that was given to us was about to expire and no associate at carvana had any idea when we were going to receive our registration, plates and title in the mail. Spent numerous hours on the phone with them in those months. We were told false information pertaining to shipping tracking numbers for the plates, title and registration. Carvana had the wrong address of us on file. They had the address where we picked up the vehicle, in which was a Walmart parking lot, as our mailing address. We finally did receive the title and registration after over 4 months of numerous calls to them, hours of frustration talking with numerous associates and $500 to hire a lawyer to send a letter. We never did receive the license plates that we paid for. We had to take the registration and title to DMV to get our plates. I do now see online that carvana is being sued by a firm in Pennsylvania for this very thing. Worst business experience ever.

Do not buy a car from Carvana!

*EDITED: Carvana replied below that we are working with Silver Rock to fix the car. What they failed to mention is that after hours on the phone yesterday they are unwilling to help. If their customer service was better MAYBE they could redeem themselves. They refuse to take the car back and refuse to help us pay for accommodations or a rental car after being stranded out of state. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! Do not buy a car from Carvana! I don’t think they inspect their vehicles. We have had issue after issue come up and it’s been in the shop almost the entire month we’ve had it. The purchase online and trade in of our vehicle was super easy. Delivery was on time but they damaged it in transport. We had that repair done. Then a clicking sound started and lights on the dash were coming on and off. We brought it in and the dealership found an issue with an actuator and corroded electrical wiring. While making the repairs they also discovered two additional actuators that need to be repaired. We never would have kept this car had we known the list of issues that would come up. I have no doubt there will be more that come up soon. There is also no flexibility on the warranty and Silver Rock is not willing to work with you at all. Overall, it’s been a nightmare and I would warn everyone to stay away!

Selling a Tesla without a Battery

Not only did your team lie multiple times on a recorded line, you are now trying to sell the car that has no working battery and has been returned multiple times! I canceled my order because the car has no working battery, and they won’t ever give you an update on it being fixed. They just keep pushing the delivery 1 week out indefinitely. And immediately after I canceled my order its back up for sale with a delivery date 1 week away. Imagine selling a car 3 different times saying it passed a 150 point inspection that doesn’t have a working engine (battery/Tesla) Update, they just sold the car again to someone that will never get it. Good luck next buyer 2018 TESLA MODEL 3 PERFORMANCE SEDAN 4D VIN: 5YJ3E1EBXJF072356 STOCK #2001401066 When will the lies and fraud stop?

    Carvana Experience

My daughter's work took her to Salt Lake City in November. I did not want to buy a car in Georgia and drive it to SLC because in Dec/Jan there was a lot of snowy weather. I did some research and felt like Carvana could be a great way to get her a car and have it delivered within a 1/2 hr of where she is. Only issue was that I had to sign for the car so me and my wife flew to SLC on Dec. 20, to sign and pick up car and literally 1.5-2hrs before we were to pick up the car, they text and called & said the car was not there. They said the car missed getting on a truck in Colorado, something they probably knew about well before 2 hrs before pickup. They wanted to reschedule the pickup for DEC.24th, (yes Christmas Eve) or if that date did not work Dec 31st (New Years eve). We finally decided on Jan.3rd which meant we had to fly home and than back. On Jan 3rd again about 2 hrs before pickup, they text and called and said the pickup would need to be rescheduled for another day because of a water leak at the pickup facility, nightmare continues. We finally picked up the car and felt some relief, my daughter loves the car but we are not done yet. When we get closer to the registration, they informed me that the car would need a Georgia emission test for them to register and title the car, I said the car is in SLC and there's no way I can get the emission done. It took about a month to get documentation from Georgia to get an exemption for the emissions and get the car titled. We finally got the license plate a few weeks ago and I can't even express how many hours I spent on the phone with not only Carvana but DMV, Emission, it was exhausting every step of the way. I had an advocate through Carvana that did a great job navigating some of the experience but she could only do so much and Carvana will not let you talk to anyone above an advocate or anyone in registration that would have made the process a little more streamlined and simpler. They do most of there communication through email that is directed just to you, you cannot answer or reply to any email other than from the advocate which got very frustrating. I know people have had a great experience dealing with Carvana but I wanted people to know that not everyone does. I do have to say that Carvana was gracious enough to reimburse my airfare on the 2nd trip to SLC plus a rental car for my daughter but they could not do anything about our first trip since I did not have receipts. I used about 90,000 airline points for flights as well as about 120,000 Marriott points for hotel stays. Anyway, good luck if your going to use Carvana.

    The WORST car sales company

Bought a truck from CARVANA March 2021. Paid it off a month later April 2021. It took 11 months to get the title, March 2022. Before I had finally received the license plates, they issued two different paper tags from two different states. Customer service people were nice, but NEVER followed through on anything. I was told I would receive $100 from Carvana for carpet stains when the truck was delivered. Now a year later, still nothing. I was told I would get another $100 for my trouble, 2 months ago, still nothing. CARVANA is absolutely the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I don’t understand how people can stand to lie to customers day after day just to cover for a company that could care less. The csr,s end up taking heat and looking like bad people. There are plenty of cars for sale out there, don’t waste your time or money with CARVANA.

This is the worst car buying experience…

This is the worst car buying experience I've ever had and any notion that Carvana is somehow easier than dealing with a local car dealership is a joke. Still not sure how the registration process is supposed to work and they totally screwed up the ACH payment process for the car. They took it from the wrong account and now I have to get reimbursed for an overdraft charge that never should have happened. Every time you call it's a different person, which means you have to explain the same issues over and over. I've wasted 4 or 5 hours on the phone with them, mostly on hold, and still don't have resolution. Asking to speak with a supervisor is next to impossible, so I doubt I'll get the return call I was promised today.

    Carvana has committed fraud.

Carvana has committed fraud. My car that was supposed to be delivered on 3/25/22. On 3/21/22 I was told it was delayed to 3/30/22 due to a shipping issue. On 3/25 I was informed of another delay because the battery of the Tesla was not working and needed to be replaced. I was told the parts were in stock and the car was being worked on. The new delivery date was set for 4/4. On 4/1 I was informed that it was delayed again because they said the battery never arrived even though on 3/25, I was told it did and it was being worked on “as we speak”. All was said on a recorded line that management still won’t listen too. Now they are saying 4/14 it will be delivered even though there is no end in sight and there are no updates on the equipment being delivered. In summary these are the lies that amount to fraud. 1. 150 point inspection- If there was truly an inspection they would have noticed the battery, which is the car’s engine did not work at all. 2. The car was delayed because of shipping issues- This was not true; the car was delayed due to a battery issue, and I was not informed of this. 3. The parts were in stock, and the car was being worked on- This was told to me on 3/25 on a recorded line. None of it was true. Because of these lies I sold my car with false expectations of the new car delivery, I have spent over $1k in rental car fees, I have purchased car insurance for a car that has not arrived. I have paid for an electrician to install a charger for a car that may never arrive. If Carvana does not correct this situation I will be taking legal actions against them.

    Registration process worse ever

Carvanas answer to everyone - Is what they replied to my review. Deny it and it never happened even though it did. Also yes I was another one they said they would send that 100.00 to however its 3 weeks later and no check. Guess that was suppose to be hush money! At first the experience with Carvana was great. Easy to find the car I wanted. Love the car. Driver was on time and very professional and knowledgeable. HOWEVER, that's where it ends. It has been over 8 weeks getting my registration to me. No one at Carvana seems to be able to tell you anything regarding the registration process and who their THIRD PARTY REGISTRATION COMPANY is. I was told so many dates and ways that my registration was being processed. Online, faxed to dmv batched over to dmv blah blah blah However they also gave me several different dates before a manager finally told me my registration had not even been submitted. Told them I was filing complaints with BBB, AG and FTC on them (which by the way I am). If they would have allowed me to do my own registration I'd have had it done in one day. Yes, won't use them again unless they get their registration act together. Also don't know what the big secret is that they don't want to release name of the registration vendor because Carvana is taking the runt of the bad reviews because of them!

    Not impressed at all

Not impressed at all. I did all the prep work online to sell my car and to have it picked up. Everything was going smoothly until I was told at the very end that they will not come to my house to pick up the car because I was too far away from their nearest hub. Instead I would need to drive to the southern part of the state if I wanted to sell it. The reason why I used Carvana in the first place was because of them picking my vehicle up at my house and because the car hasn't been registered in a couple years, this needed to happen. After talking to someone on the phone he said sorry but we can't do it and that was that. Not impressed!

    Delayed delivery twice now!

I bought a car and the delivery has been delayed twice. Here is the deal. They don't have sales people that want you to be happy and walk away with car like dealerships. They have customer service reps that can not help you at all. They have no incentive to get you the car. No one helps you when your delivery is delayed. I still don't have my car. If I had it to do over again I would not use them and definitely won't going forward. Word of mouth will eventually sink this company. I know I work in a hospital with 950 employees and I walk those floors all day everyday. They all know I'm buying a car and they all know it keeps getting delayed by carvana. Every person I talk to at work says I will never use them. I might be one person but I know a lot of people. Carvana needs to do better! NC revoked your right to sell for 6 months. It should have been permanently!

Please take this to heart and take action

Ordered a truck 3/13/22 delivery has been delayed three times, new delivery date 4/6/22 after spending hours researching this company and reading complaints of consumers on numerous website’s huge red flags of shown up that I can’t believe the authorities haven’t launched a investigation into. If you put it all together it’s easy to see. I’ll start with these delivery delays, I’m going to say these cars are bought at insurance auctions that companies have paid out on and would require time to repair, I’ve seen several complaints that consumers have stated what they were delivered looked similar to the photos or didn’t look like it at all, in my text chain I asked about this and was told they do buy auction cars but wouldn’t tell me where and when. The second red flag, title and registration problems, in Kansas where I’m at any collision that requires repair gets a (SALVAGE TITLE) some states require a mechanical inspection before being put back on the road, then it gets a title distinction of rebuilt. Look at the registration and title problems consumers are having and the run around w/that. I urge anyone who have these problems to contact your state and local attorney general and push your issues, the saddest thing of all, look at the increase in complaints starting once the pandemic was in full swing, as a combat veteran that’s the most disheartening thing of all, taking advantage of a country who was trying to fight something we had no idea how, we know how to fight fraud and deception.

Delays for car ordered on March 9th

I ordered a car on March 9th. The delivery has been delayed 5 times. I understand there are fullfillment issues due to COVID. I was contacted that the 3rd delay was due to a breakdown of the delivery vehicle which is certainly understandable. Since then the delivery has been delayed 2 more times. I had to pay for insurance for the new car as well as the car I'm trading in. They emailed that they would compensate for the delay, which feels empty at this point as I have waited 3 1/2 weeks for the delivery of the vehicle. I am trading in a car that I bought from Carvana in 2018. My experience then was great. The car was delivered on the first appointment time. There were no issues. I don't know if the car will ever come or if I should choose a different car. The price was good and the mileage was low; 41,000+ miles. I'm not sure if there is an ulterior motive to wait me out to change to another vehicle so they can correct the purchase price of the car based on the low mileage. I have inquired about the delays, but don't get answers Update April 26 My car was finally delivered on April 2nd. There were cosmetic issues that were not in the pictures posted on the website. There were several places where things had been glued to the interior and old, hard glue remained. One area on the front passenger side is large. The representative said she would provide me with $100 compensation and Carvana would pay for repairs. I have not received the $100. I have been contacted by Carvana to proceed with repairs. We'll see how that goes. About the payoff of my trade-in... As of yesterday the trade-in had not been paid off. My purchase was approved on March 11. The original delivery date was March 18th. The car was delivered on April 2nd which was the date of my scheduled payment for the car I was trading in. The representative told me not to pay the payment as that should be included in the pay off amount. As time went by, I contacted the representative who referred me to contact Carvana support which I did scheduling a call back. No one ever called me back. In the meantime I now have 2 cars with payments and the trade-in's payment is late and then delinquent. After an hour or so chatting with Carvana I was told to make the payment. After further negotiations they promised to send me a check to cover the payment now that both payments, old and new, were due in the same week. They have resoved each issue, but the process has been fraught with ongoing problems and frustration. I expect that during the repair process, I will be provided with a vehicle to drive. More to follow...

    Don't buy from Carvana

Carvana sold me a car that was supposed to have a 150 point inspection they boast about. Many items claimed inspected needed to be fixed within the first week of buying the vehicle. Through the course of these repairs, it was discovered the vehicle had been in a collision. Bedford Collision company estimated the repairs at over $6000.00 Joe Boss, a supervisor from Carvana, not only emailed me with the the words that the car has been in a collision, but told me over the phone several times as well. He also told me if the car was in a collision, they would take it back. They did not. They refused after they got another company Crash Champions to estimate it. They estimated it the same, and told us the same, but for legal reasons, would not say it had been in a collision. I have documentation and recordings to verify all of this. Don't buy from Carvana. *updated. Please watch link for audio clips, texts and emails showing Caravan promising to take the vehicle back and admitting car was in a collision. The contact number they give will not get you to anyone in charge. I have Contacted customer service over and over. My name is Maureen Turner and my info is in your files. First and last purchase

took delivery of a vehicle on March 10, 2022. On March 14 our mechanic discovered that a Technical Service Bulletin for the heater core had not been completed prior to sale and it was not disclosed as an open service item or recall. Our mechanic had to “negotiate” with their warranty company to get the repair covered. We were without a vehicle for an entire week waiting on this repair to be done to make the car safe to drive. Carvana has also demonstrated a great deal of ignorance in Oklahoma state registration rules and laws. I was never once asked if I had a registration to transfer - as of 2019 plates stay with the RO. They have processed this as a new registration which will incur me additional headache and fees. Also, we are two weeks from my temporary plate expiration - their solution was to twll me they’ll just give me new temporary plates. That’s not how this works. Oklahoma assesses a daily late fee starting on day 30 from the purchase date until the car is registered. I have nothing but “we’re confident you’ll have your paperwork” and no attempts to make anything right. This is my first and last purchase with Carvana.

DO NOT FINANCE WITH CARVANA!!!! Car buying is already a painful process, and Carvana makes it so much worse. I do not recommend buying through Carvana at all. They use a really sketchy company called Bridgecrest. Bridgecrest has an absolutely horrible BBB rating. Just read some of the BBB complaints in the last 12 months alone. Carvana doesn't care, they are happy to work with this sketchy loan company. They are dismissive with concerns about this loan company and refuse to do anything about it. I'm frankly surprised that they would not do their due diligence and take issues like this more seriously.

What a sad state of affairs. One hand des bot know what the other is doing. I started a car purchase at the beginning of February. I was kind of excited. I should have known when they could not tell me when to expect delivery. 10 days later, all of a sudden, I get the delivery notice! Well, then, on the day of delivery, they cancel. One text says transport issues. Another says mechanical issues. No one seems to know. Reschedule. Again and again and again. I had secured a loan and had to have check in hand. Now I am making two car payments. Reschedule again. Finally, it ends on the 20th of March. No car, have to undo a car loan, insurance, warranty I purchase, and from carvana, nothing.

Was told the first time we wasnt in the delivery zone so a third party had to deliver. We called days later to check and they said they was having problems finding a delivery driver. The 2nd person offered us to meet with the 70 miles or so. About 20 minutes from our house. The night before delivery they canceled and couldnt tell us why. They told us why it wasnt getting a delivery date the first time. Employees appear to be poorly trained. If first employee would have told us we could meet them within 60 miles it wouldnt have been so long. Thanks alot carvana. I should have read the reviews and ran. Unfortunately if the cars cancled again on Saturday I will cancel my order. Carvana has several lawsuits and complaints and doesnt appear to try and fix problems. Just give the run around.

    PLEASE READ!

PLEASE READ! Let's get straight to it. Bought a car after the worst car buying process, should of been a red flag. When picking up the car after having the delivery/pickup date pushed back twice, the car was dirty inside and out and had major cosmetic damage that was not disclosed before buying. I was told it was transport damage. The customer service in the Orlando location was horrible as well, should of been another red flag but i still went on with it. Took the car to wash the next day and got pulled over by the cops because they said the temporary tags were never put under my name and never transfered over, so it seemed as if the car was just taken without carvana knowing. Carvana stated they were not sure what went wrong but had to email me a new temporary tag. On my way home the engine coolant light turns on but the car had the correct amount of coolant. After having it inspected by a mechanic I was told the car needed a new water pump, thermostat and all lines bled. After all of this I was told to drive the car 2 hours away to be repaired at my nearest in network location, I would be lucky if the car made it that far before I was stuck on the highway. There was nothing done to rectify or even try to make the situation a little better. All I was told was "That is very unfortunate, sorry you spent $15,000 cash and are dealing with these issue. We have notated your account, is there anything else we could do for you today" With that being said please look elsewhere for a vehicle unless carvana is your ONLY AND LAST OPTION. Side note... after purchasing it is extremely difficult to get in contact with carvana now.

    This company is a joke.

This is a terrible company and had killed two deals without explanation. Twice I went to bank to get a cashiers check to finalize deal for delivery and showed proof though the stupid application process… which is a one way communication. The customer service reps know nothing about cars. I never got a call for the reason why or any avenue to problem solve it through. I’ll never buy a car from this joke of a company.

Beware of your purchase...you'll regret it

Do not, I repeat, do not purchase a car from Carvana. The financing company they're partnered with is horrible and unresponsive. It takes them in excess of two months to process a title which means if you ever go to sell your car you'll be waiting that long to receive any payments. Had I known this on the front end I would have bought a car elsewhere.

Endless promises - DO NOT BUY!

Ordered a car from Carvana and it was delivered 2/26/22. The car had more damage than shown or stated in photos. The front end had been damaged during transport. I took the car for inspection - the car needed brakes and rotors (2019 Corolla), none of the fluids in the car had been checked or changed, the car was filthy inside and out. They did rinse the car and left water spots all over it. I called Carvana and complained. They kept referring me to their warranty company Silver Rock which no one seems to want to deal with (apparently silverrock doesn't pay?). So I'm stuck with promises this car would be fixed. The 7 day trial is over and Carvana states they can't take the car back because "It's been almost a month". On 3/26 it will be a month. Representatives seem to be trained to just listen and refer, take messages, apologize, but then are told nothing can be done and goodluck. Getting a superior on the line is laughlable. When you ask for one the representatives tell you that they are unavailable but will call back within 48 hours. So they get you into a car but then leave you hanging with these long return call wait times - IF they even bother calling. So far not one superior has called to follow up on any of my complaints, worries, issues. Carvana doesn't care once the loan is closed. Typical. I would suggest that if you're looking for a car to buy local in your area. Carvana is NOT worth all the stress, time, headache, etc.

    CARVANA Legacy?

I have a 2008 Cadillac CTS with EVERY option that comes on the CTS. The vehicle is PERFECT on the outside and the interior looks just like new! In fact, many people think it is NEW! Carvana offered me $858 for it! That price could not buy a replacement set of tires? Cars.com valued it at $8,995. If there was a NO STAR rating for this company, I would have offered it. Their "build up" was a MAJOR disappointment. Even my car insurer was IMPRESSED when they saw the pictures of my car. Shame on you, CARVANA

    I bought a Jeep Compass

I bought a Jeep Compass. I had it less than 3 months when the engine caught fire. Carvana claims they do 360 full body inspections, so how did this happen? Carvana did not care about the situation and did nothing to help. My insurance did not cover the full payments so I requested help from JEEP, who inspected the Compass. They also declined to rectify the situation. I do not recommend buying from Carvana or buying a Jeep.

The biggest problem with Carvana is…

The biggest problem with Carvana is not...Carvana. It is, for the most part, people selling: Unreal expectations of the value of their vehicle and not having all their ducks in a row...or trying to change something once the process starts. My experience was great. I only gave it 4 stars...because nobody walks on water...except Jesus. So with that said...for me..they had the fastest system to deliver my money after...I had my ducks in a row. If your car is clean, low mileage, with little or no scratches...bingo...your money flies into your checking account by ACH transfer. It took less than 24 hours for the money on my sale to hit my bank! My driver was courteous, knowledgeable, on time, and fast. Again...I had the inside detailed and ran the car through the wash...before he hit my door. He loved the car. So...that's my story. The only buying group higher was Drivetime...but, their system relied on "mailing" docs back and forth...not good. Clean your car...and don't be stupid about its' REAL value. Good luck. PS No Mildred...you can't haggle with the driver about price...that is the HIGHEST number you will get from them...but may not be the final number until it goes through a very close inspection at one of their regional centers...caveat emptor!

    Undisclosed Previous Damage!!!

Purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Oct of 2020. Vehicle had 40,000 miles and a CLEAR Carfax. Vehicle had to have the swaybar endlinks replaced immediately after receipt. Dealership recommended new struts due to leakage, but Carvana warranty refused. Compromised with warranty, and the upper strut mounts were replaced to alleviate the issue. Carvana reason for refusal was that the "struts aren't leaking bad enough for replacement". Vehicle has now made it to 70,000 miles. Paint has begun bubbling/chipping all around the windshield. After inspection by a body shop, it was revealed that the roof has had MAJOR damage in the past. The entire roof skin has been previously replaced, and the repair was done incorrectly. There has been revealed body putty around the windshield, and the corrosion has now begun at the rear hatch. Contacted Carvana about the fact that this damage was not disclosed on the Carfax, and was told that there is nothing they will do about it. They stated it will be an "out of pocket" expense for me. Estimate from the body shop is $6000 to correct the undisclosed damage. Save yourself the time. Go buy a vehicle somewhere else.

If I could make it minus 5 I would, tried selling my truck to these people over two weeks ago. And now no one will contact me. Was given a fair price, but ask for original window which you have to pay for, then wait two days to say they need more pictures then another two days. Then no one is available to speak with you. Would not recommend!!! Go to a reliable dealership like I ended up doing and for more money. What a scam!!!

    Carvana customer service problem

My wife and I bought a car from Carvana. Generally satisfied except for their customer service. They didn't inspect the interior of the car carefully. Turned out to have a damaged gear shift indicator plate. Local Silver Rock folks (Carvana's warranty service) said they couldn't fix it. Went round and round with Carvana until they agreed to let us order the part and then reimburse us. Got the part for $35 or so, submitted the invoice, got a check for $2.00. Totally unsatisfactory. It was their problem to fix and at their cost, but we ended up doing all the work and having to foot the bill.

    Worst car buying experience ever

Worst car buying experience ever. I’m stucking paying for something I can’t drive. Temp tag expired and they aren’t lifting a finger to do anything about. They even tried to get me to download and print a temp tag from a state the car wasnt even purchased in. Best thing anyone can do when they pull this tag/title scam is to contact your state’s DMV fraud and theft department and file a complaint. I will never do business wjth them again. They refuse to communicate at this point. Such a shady business after googling to see just how msny people tney have dond this to. They don’t care about their customers at all. They will just fold their arms and hand you excuse after excuse on why they haven’t processed your tag/title. I even called the bank and they refused to confirm if they even received the title and referred to Crapvana. I also contacted the DMV after they insisted they had submitted my tag/title work and everything was being delayed by the state. The DMV has no record of the submission. They refuse to do anything to resolve the problem because they don’t care. They got their money and ran. Do google Erinie Garcia. You will surprised what you find out.

    Horrible experience!

Horrible experience!! I sold a car to Carvana months ago and had a good experience so I decided to try and purchase a car this past week. The process started really smooth, I liked all the original terms and was happy with the price and finance. I completed all the paperwork and sent in all the insurance along with trade in material. A few days after uploading all requested documents and I go to sign the contract to find the interest and monthly payment has changed. I contacted an advocate and was told a ticket would be opened to find out the change in my contract. Days went by and I never heard back about my case so I called again and told my ticket was never escalated. I spent 2 more days speaking with Carvana In which they a admitted that my terms changed without notifying me. They “tried” fixing my contract to the original terms but then told me the original terms were rejected due to the negative balance from my trade in. Now I have a 800 credit score, the negative equity was only $1500 and I was putting $1000 down..their excuse of changing my terms didn’t make sense. They told me the only thing they could do to compensate my inconvenience with take $100 off the purchase of the car. In the end they didn’t even honor that and when I followed up they said they’d have to redo the entire contract and it would be another week until I get the car. Worst case they said they could send me a check for the $100 but it would possibly get it 60-90 days after the purchase is complete and if sales audit team approved it..I get a message confirming delivery for the following day, 30min later I get another message rescheduling my car.I reach out again to Carvana advocate and they are absolutely not a help, they say “I understand why you upset, you can cancel the car if you want” After reading all these negative reviews, I canceled the order.

Everything you're hearing is true and…

Everything you're hearing is true and has been for at least 3 years when I purchased my car from them - incorrect mileage corrected by them but lowered the trade-in value of my car, damage not identified pre-sale, insurance plan that says it covered most of my concerns except rental car only covered if the repair itself takes more than 8 hrs, always some other excuse for not covering it. Carvana definitely seems to have an unethical, if not illegal, corporate attitude. Always assume they're going to get you good if possible. My advice - go elsewhere.

    Mechanically totaled

Hey all, On January 25 I purchased my 2014 Jeep Cherokee from Carvana. I drove to the vending machine, put the coin in, and down came a gorgeous black on black Jeep Cherokee. It was so amazing. I test drove the car and it told me the engine was hot. I heard some bad wheel bearing noise, and some other noise. We checked the coolant and it was slightly low. I purchased the car anyway, and said as long as it all gets fixed, without me paying for it, it'll be okay. I signed some papers, and I was good to go. The Carvana associate put in a vehicle repair request and I left. Days 1-3: I took it to a shop near me to get the car looked over. They said it needed some coolant hose connectors (which are on backorder). As for the noise I was hearing- there was a bad wheel bearing that they replaced for me. Silverrock covered the claim. Days 3-??: I was still having an odd noise while I was driving so I took it back to the shop. They looked at it, come to find out it needs a driveshaft. I was taking a look at it one day, and noticed the paint had a weird sheen on the drivers door and fender. None of the gaps are the same, and nothing lines up. The car has clearly been hit and someone "attempted" to repair it. Silverrock and Carvana said they will pay to get it repaited and a new fender. Thursday, (2/24/22) the driveshaft finally got fixed. Silverrock covered the claim. Friday 2/25/22- I have hardly driven the car since it got fixed. It was driving great. Went to work, picked my friend up, went to the gym, dropped my friend off, turned left off her road.... BAM. SNAP. CRACK. Car doesn't drive right now. Shutters when accelerating. I figured maybe the driveshaft broke again. Saturday I took it back to the shop. Sunday they called me with a diagnosis that the transfer case is busted. It busted because Carvana, or the previous owner, replaced the transfer case with a junk yard one and only put 1 out of 3 screws in it. When I turned left on Friday, that 1 screw snapped in half and is now broken into the transmission. The vehicle was supposed to be painted and repaired from the previously mentioned body damage on Monday 2/28/22. That was now not able to happen, since the car can't move. I have now had it towed (Silverrock is not reimbursing me) to a transmission shop where it sits. It needs a new transfer case and transmission. Carvana will not work with me and take the car back. They will not get me a new vehicle. They said I can sell the car back, for 4k less than I purchased it for. Long story short, I got effed. They sold me a mechanically totaled car. Avoid Carvana people. You will regret it and lose your booty.

    Absolutely Terrible

POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE! Caravana is Absolutely Terrible. It’s at the point I’ve been in tears. I found a beautiful vehicle on their website 3 WEEKS AGO and they have pushed my delivery date back 3 times each time asking for new verification. One day before the delivery date they changed my APR claiming it was a glitch. The reps will lie and tell you whatever to get you off the phone, they do not keep their promises. I have called them over 20 times, it has been an absolute nightmare. Never never shop with them. Go elsewhere! They all reply with a general response. Don’t call the number they leave under this review, it goes no where and the reps work from home and DO NOT CARE! They also lie that there are no supervisors available. They are sick.

Buying a car from Carvana is the easiest and best car buying experience I have ever had. Terrible Experience

I recently attempted to purchase a car from Carvana and it was the worst experience ever. I finalized everything and the car was scheduled to be delivered and from there it all went down hill. they changed the date the day before delivery after I had called to confirm the delivery date and was assured I would receive the car as scheduled. When I tried to reschedule the nightmare begin. No one could help me or answer my questions. I was treated as if I were purchasing a roster from Amazon and it was lost in shipping yet I was buying a 33,000.00 car. I ended up canceling my sale and I'm still uncertain if it is all canceled. Worst customer service ever. I went to a Dealership and purchased a new car the traditional way. Never will I attempt to buy from Carvana again. Avoid if at all possible. All they could tell me was that this was not usual!

Wife purchase a car not even 2 months…

Wife purchase a car not even 2 months ago was it delivered and it has been getting worked on more than we have actually used it. When we first got it and understand with used vehicles comes used problems but you also would think that CARVANA would solve most of the current problems before they sold a vehicle. Anyways, within a few weeks of having our vehicle, engine light came on and turns out it was a bad oxygen valve that needed to be changed. Not but a week later noticed that the indicator lenses were more than a bit faded and instead of an amber color as it should be on the rear indicators, they were almost clear, had to go buy myself some new indicater bulbs to fix problem. Today, less than 2 months of having the car, Just paid a repair shop $800 to change the bad oil, replace the cabin filter which was filthy and original factory filter, balance tires, new brake pads and rotors to replace the crappy ones and balance the wheels/tires. All in all a horrible experience and would not purchase from them again or recommend them to any one especially for a car for a new 16 year old driver like us.
