Mobile Apps

Empower doesn’t offer a mobile app as an afterthought like most banks—it is an app. The Empower mobile app is the only place to get access to all the features described in this review. Through a slick iOS/Android-compatible mobile app, you can:

  • Open and manage your accounts
  • Access your money at any time
  • Turn on push notifications for instant alerts

Security

Given the bank-level security it has in place, it’s clear Empower takes your data privacy and security seriously. Security features include AES 256-bit encryption, touch ID, and multi-factor authentication.

Empower is my new go-to!
Okay, listen up, folks! If you haven't tried Empower yet, you're missing out. This app has been a total lifesaver. Recently, I needed some quick cash. Enter Empower's Cash Advance feature. It's like magic. They gave me a $250 cash advance in my pocket, with no hassle and no stress. It was so easy and fast! Plus, their customer service is amazing. Long story short, if you want an app that's got your back when it comes to your finances, Empower is the one. Trust me, you won't regret it. It has made my life so much easier!

Very helpful they don't give me much of an advance and they don't require much of a payment but nothing's free
As somebody on a limited income very fixed and once a month less than $1,000 they accepted it they take your bank that you direct deposit it to and the card and they take a minimum fee and help you build your credit and you pay $8 a month for the app which nobody likes which is fine I do find other apps more helpful four different situations and different types of income this one works well but I do use a few

Very disappointing app
Empower is an app which did deliver 50.00 during an emergency when I desperately needed extra cash. The 50.00 was far less than what was promised however. After several months of not one but 2 direct deposits into my main bank account, Empower will still not recognize the 2nd deposit. After escalating my support request up 2 levels I was told that Empower does not have the technology available to add the 2nd direct deposit information into my profile. Very disappointed with that, as well as the 50.00 cap placed on my account. There are several other phone apps available with far better offers and terms.
